Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction / Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ The Mistress ❯ Interesting already.... ( Chapter 4 )
"I failed another math test!!" Serena gaped at the paper in front of her face. "Mom's going to kill me." She groaned looked at the sixty-nine on her paper.
"Actually you passed." Hiana looked at the paper. "One point away from getting a…"
"I almost got a "C"!!!" Serena yelped. She looked at her watch and groaned. "I'm gonna be late for my date!!"
"Give me your books… I'll take them home and tell your mother that you had to meet Darien and I'll tell your father that you had to meet the girls." Hiana sighed earning a hug.
"I'll take my books home I still have to change remember." She released the demon girl. "Besides I'm pretty sure this is one of the few moments Yuske isn't around his friends, so you can say what you want to say to him." She pointed to the boy who was sitting alone.
"Right…" She watched the girl walk away. She looked at Yuske and was almost ready to approach him but Keiko suddenly appeared and they walked off. "Oh well." She shrugged and looked at her Math exam… in red ink the number thirty added to the stains of pencil marks and cross offs in ink. Why did she think changing writing utensils would help her out? Who knows, but she still got a thirty and if her 'aunt' was nearly as strict on her as she was to Serena then she'd be stuck in the library for hours trying to figure it out.
"Ouch. Not a math wiz, I see." His tranquil voice startled her and she looked above her and saw him sitting there in his uniform and his hair was slightly messy from the breeze that decided to blow by at that moment. "Sorry if I was intruding on a personal moment."
"You weren't intruding. I never understood it, and I can't go home with it because well Serena's mom would lock me in the room." She said with a sigh. The human world was so much nicer than the spirit world even if some people annoyed the hell out of her.
"Maybe a tutor is in order?" He suggested.
"I've already tried that. Ami is just so far ahead in the chapters that sometimes she skips things without really realizing it and the rest of Serena's friends are just weird." She said. "Besides it's not like I'm outgoing enough to have my own friends."
"Maybe you need one who knows exactly what the problem is…" He jumped out of the tree.
"Shuuichi, no one knows what my exact problem is." She said and he took the paper from her. He inspected it for a moment and looked over everything.
"Fractions, decimals…." He gave the paper back. "And slight confusion with formulas." He said and she gaped. "You can see it in the way you do the problem here you started mixing a completely different formula into it throwing off your answer." He pointed out. She sat down on the ground and stared at the paper before giving him a quizzical look.
"I still don't get it…" She said looking very embarrassed. He only gave her a gentle smile before noticing Yuske and Keiko reenter the building with Botan by their side.
'Another talk about the mission I suppose.' He thought to himself watching both Hiei and Kuwabara walk into the building arguing like always. "I could help you if you want." He looked at her. Then she smiled at him as his stopped for a moment, making him feel numb all over.
"You've done so many nice things for me since I came… I couldn't"
"One can never do too many nice things." He said watching her smile brighten as his heart picked up speed.
"When is best for you?"
"Tomorrow around noon..." He said looking up at the sky remember it was Friday.
"Okay. Thank you!" She stood. "I'll see you tomorrow!" She hugged him, which startled him momentarily but she pulled away before he returned the gesture. "See you!" She took off running down the street.
"See you." He said knowing she couldn't hear him.
"I saw that." The voice of Minako Aino cut through his thoughts. "I knew those good looks of yours would attract a girl despite the strangeness of your friends." He looked at her.
"I believe you are mistaken." He replied. "I just promised to tutor her in Math."
"Sure… it starts there you know." Mina said. "This is lucky for you, because I know you already 'find her interesting.'!!" Mina said raising an eyebrow at him. He opened his mouth as if to deny what she was saying but she brushed him off. "Listen, it took the group to fully understand why she came to Tokyo at all. She's had some rough troubles in the past so be your nice self and there won't be any problems from the 'Ai no Megami' Okay?" She grinned and walked away from him. Shuuichi watched her leave as well before going to catch up with the others. He finally made it to the roof top realizing they were all waiting for him.
"About time you got here…" Yuske said with a grin. "Now are you done thinking with your pants?" He said missing the stare the red haired boy gave him.
"Well, since everyone is accounted for I just received some news from Koenma and well… It seems that the four Saint Beasts and Rando have joined forces."
"That was a given, I mean the man set them all free."
"But you don't get it… with that in mind the Saint beasts will probably randomly appear and from what we were able to find out from a former enemy of the Sailor Scouts, Sailor Moon is the Princess."
"So what's your point??" Yuske asked.
"The Sailor Scout has been protecting this town, this planet from magic born humans for some time now. Sailor Moon is the strongest out of the group. They have never been up against a demon before at least not one in this league… they even exceed Kiara."
"Everyone exceeds Kiara. She never finished her training." Hiei said with a tinge of sadness in his voice. Botan gave him a sympathetic look.
"Not exactly… It seems that with her time with Rando…" She paused seeing that Hiei looked almost ready to kill but turned his head for the moment. "It seems that as a gift for her 'treatments' he granted her with a few powers." She said watching Hiei move from his spot towards the stairs and walked off closing the door behind him. Botan gave a sigh and shook her head.
"What's his problem?" Kuwabara asked what everyone else was thinking.
"Well…" Botan started.
"You know Yukina was Hiei's twin sister right?" Kurama spoke up as Yuske was about to respond. "Well, Hiei had a younger sister… she was probably nine when it happened but Hiei and she were attacked while resting from their search for Yukina. She was still young and he told her to run and if needed to use what training she does know. Before he knew it the demons that had attacked them had been defeated and he went in search of her. He couldn't find her only the bandana that enclosed her own Jagan covered in her blood. He assumed she was dead."
"Oh, My…" Keiko gaped. "It must be a shocker to know that not only was she alive but some demon's mistress."
"Even worse to have to put her back in jail…" Yuske added proving he did have feelings. "I'd avoid doing that if I could but we don't even know her motive to breaking out of jail."
"It wouldn't matter Koenma would eventually find out and probably would want her back." Keiko pointed out.
"This is stupid!!" Yuske messed up his own hair.
"So you do have a soft spot for Hiei in there somewhere." Botan said.
"What are you talking about?!?!"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about!"
"No I don't would you care explaining to me!!" Yuske said starting an argument between him and Botan. Kurama looked at the group and shook his head only to have his thoughts switch over to her again… why had he been reacting that way to her??
