A bandit's ways…..

Disclaimer: I don't own yu yu hakusho and slamdunk……sadly I don't even have my own computer…… demo…. I own Maya and Kaze!

(A/N: this is a pretty boring prologue but don't think badly of me….. I just wanted to introduce you to it before plunging to the story. You'll understand it once I get to the story….

Japanese Translations:

Kaze= wind

Sayonara= goodbye

Yukusoku= promise

Prologue:

"Don't cry…. It's not your fault…."

Silence….

A girl with tears streaming down her eyes shakes her head. "Kaze…" but before saying what she needed to say fresh new tears burst out.

A comforting arm was placed around her. A boy with warm, hazel eyes tried to halt her crying…. it was no use. He looked at the cave they were in…desolate, abandoned… it was in ruins…

"I- -I" he heard a soft whisper and turned to look at the very distressed girl.

"I'm really sorry but Kaze… pls. understand I don't want to be a part of this anymore," her soft voice became more and more determined. "I want out. I want to start a new life… return from the past I ran away from…"

She placed her arms around Kaze trying to make everything seem right. "I know our lives never were exactly paradise - but this is too much. I'm sorry I have to leave the bandits… now the bandits will have to break up because of me…"

She stood up and whispered her last words before leaving…"Sayonara…"

Left alone in the cold with nothing… with no one…. Kaze tried to shed some light on his miserable position. Light? He realized he was trying to be optimistic. He gave out a cold, empty laugh devoid of emotion, it sounded 1000 times harsher because he was…. Alone.

He looked at her fast disappearing figure and placed a hand on his aquamarine blue-green amulet - everyone in the bandits had one. "Maya it's not your fault. It's Kaede's fault… and he's gonna pay the bandit's price. Bandit's forever - traitors must die…"

The wind his only witness to his solemn words… it was a promise he would not fail to carry out…

…yukusoku…

(A/N: so what do you think? Good? Bad? Interesting? Too sappy? Don't worry it's just the prologue but pls. review… this is my first fanfic and your reviews would mean so much… comments, suggestions, constructive criticism accepted.
