Hiei went to the kitchen. It was an awkward moment. They both sat on either side of the table, silently drinking tea, both trying hard not to look at each other in the eye. They both sipped their cup then looked down.

When Hiei was done, he decided to go check on Serenity again. He walked past the living room and to the bathroom, surprised to find a note from Serenity, he guessed that since Serenity has been puking all day she needed to see the doctor. Hiei walked back to the kitchen to find Kurama still drinking tea.

He decided to swallow his pride and said hoarsely," Serenity left to see the doctor."

Hiei stared at him and couldn't take the fact that Kurama was ignoring him. He stomped his foot loudly and screamed," Damn it Kurama! Why are you ignoring me!"

Kurama looked up and finally met eyes with Hiei."I...I'm not ignoring you." he stammered.

Hiei couldn't take the suspense, he sat down next to Kurama and asked,"Did you really love my sister?"

"And do you really love my daughter?" Kurama snapped back

Hiei suddenly fell silent, he realized that he fell in love with Serenity when he woke up from his 50 years sleep to find her right next to him. She comforted him from his pain of loneliness. She made him forget about Kurama and Yukina. Spending the past week with her made him love her even more. She was everything to him.

After seeing Kurama though, his thoughts are starting to have second thoughts about his relationship with her. Hiei's old desire for Kurama is starting to come back.

I didn't even know where I was anymore; all I remember was wandering into the woods, then waking up the next morning naked, by Yukina's side. I realized what had happened and ran home as fast as I could. I didn't want to believe that I slept with Yukina the night before. Days passed and then one day, I find her at my front door and tells me she's pregnant. I told her all about my love for you and I couldn't be with her. I finally made her cry and run back to the forest when I told her it was a mistake sleeping with her. That night, I decided to finally confess my love for you, but what did I find? You having an intimate moment with that girl, Kagome out in the streets. I stood there, horrified and heartbroken. You hurt me real bad, seeing your lips on her skin made me furious. I wanted you to stop so I splashed water on you guys. When you realized I was there, I lied when you asked me if I was mad. I just wanted to hide my brokenheart from you.
