Chapter 1: TheAdventure Begins, Almost
You fumbled with the keys. All you wanted to do was get into your house and the stupid keys would not cooperate. You were able to get them into the lock and open the door. It was raining bad and you where soaked. Before you closed the door, you waved to the friend who drove you home. You didn't feel like driving that night, and it was a good thing too. You had worked nine hours and were mentally and physically tired.
You were 19 years old and lived with your mom and little brother, who were not home. Your mom was sleeping over her sister's house who she never visits, while your little brother was at your dad's house. Your mom and dad had been divorced for three years. You didn't care too much. You loved your dad, but you were never close.
You dragged your feet to the stairs that lead to second story of your two story house, which didn't include the basement that was more like a den. You had the worst day of your life! Nine hours of work, and you weren't even suppose to work that many hours! You worked at a grocery store, which was only a five minute walk from your house. You didn't feel like walking home that night, especially at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night.
You opened the door to your room and dropped your purse at the door. You decided to take a shower, get in your pjs, and sleep. You were glad you had the next day off, you definitely needed it after the day you had. You decided to wear your plaid pants that had dark blue, red, and black; a red long sleeve shirt with three buttons in front and on top of that your favorite shirt that your brother gave you for Christmas. The shirt was one of your two favorite animes: InuYasha. Yu Yu Hakusho was the other show you loved. The shirt had six characters from InuYasha on it, forming a triangle pointing downward.
You grabbed the outfit and took a nice long hot shower. When you came out it was 10:45pm. You dressed and walked back to your room, falling onto the bed. You wrapped yourself in your blanket, which had Scooby-Doo on it, and cuddled with your stuffed animal wolf named Kouga; named after your favorite character from InuYasha.
You were drifting off to sleep when it hit you. You sat up with wide eyes.
'Wait! I almost forgot!' you thought.
You grabbed the blanket and Kouga and ran out of your room. You had run down three flights of stairs to the den. You looked for the remote for the TV, but couldn't find it.
'Forget it; I'll just change it manually!' you thought.
You turned on the TV and changed the channel. You sat down and wrapped your self in your blanket and hugged Kouga. You had almost forgotten about the Yu Yu Hakusho marathon Cartoon Network was going to play. It was all hundred and twelve episodes, starting at 10:00 pm. It was 10:57, meaning you had missed two episodes.
'Well, at least I didn't miss my favorite episode.' you thought.
The episode was about to start when you heard a loud crash. A thunder storm had just started outside your house.
'Great! It had to happen during my favorite episode!' you thought.
Your mother had warned you once to never watch TV during a thunderstorm; however you figured `what's the worst that could happen?' The couch you were sitting on was a safe distance from both the TV and windows. You knew it was rare for lighting to strike, besides your favorite episode was about to start.
You couldn't hear the commercials from how loud the storm was, causing a sigh to escape your lips. You got up to raise the volume of the TV, still holding onto your blanket and Kouga.
You reached for the volume button when there was a great crash. A bright light glowing from the TV screen was the last thing you saw before you felted a force sucking you into that glowing light. The shock of it all caused you to become unable to scream as you felt yourself falling. You shut your eyes and held onto your blanket and Kouga, tensing up and waiting for gravity to land you hard. However, when the falling sensation stopped, there was no pain or anything of the sort.
You didn't dare open your eyes, afraid of what had happened to you, however, you heard a girl and what seemed to be a guy's voice not too far from you.
"Go" said the guy.
"But I don't even know you." the girl replied.
"We're now even for what happen yesterday ok?"
You opened your eyes and found yourself lying on the ground. You blinked several times before sitting up. You looked around and were shocked to find not too far from where you were, was Kuwabara and his friends. It seemed that they were fighting another gang.
`Shit! I'm in Yu Yu Hakasho!' you thought.
You stood up and looked around. You couldn't believe you were really there. You felt as if you were in an anime or a weird fan fic!
`Something like this just doesn't happen in real life, only stories!' you thought.
You felt a chill go down your spine as if you felt someone floating in the sky. You looked up in the direction and saw nothing. An idea came to mind.
`Wait. Maybe I'm sensing Yusuke and Botan! Cool! I have a six sense like Kuwabara!' you thought, continuing to stare.
Another chill went down your spine, causing you to wrap your blanket tighter.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
Meanwhile in the sky, Yusuke watched the fight. Yusuke, in normal circumstances wouldn't have cheered for Kuwabara in any fight, however the guys he and his friends were up against had just messed with Keiko.
“Yeah! That's it! Give it to them!” Yusuke cheered.
Yusuke felt a chill go down his spine as if someone was staring at him. He turned to see a beautiful young lady standing off to the side of where the fight was. Her outfit was unable to be seen from the long blanket she had covering her self, which had a cartoon character on it.
She seemed to be around 4'11” tall. Her age, by the look of her features, seemed to be around fourteen, maybe even younger. She had shoulder length hair that was strawberry blond, and flowed with the gentle breeze, making her seem more innocent with her big greenish-periwinkle eyes, which where looking right through him, or in his opinion, at him.
Yusuke blinked at her once before turning to Botan.
“I thought you said no one can see us!” he shouted at Botan.
Botan looked at Yusuke confused until she noticed the girl looking in their direction.
“Relax; she has a six sense like Kuwabara. She can't see us, just sense us.” Botan said.
Yusuke looked at the blue haired woman with a look of doubt.
“You sure she can't see me?”
“Of course I'm sure I'm the angel of death!” she said.
Yusuke gave a final glance towards the strange yet beautiful girl, but figured he should ignore them. He turned his attention back to Kuwabara, finding that his rival had won the fight, having put the punks in there place.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
You continued to stare at the sky, not really seeing anything, but more in wonderment then anything else. However, you were snapped out of your thoughts.
“Yeah! That's right! Run home to your mommies!”
You blinked and focused your sight on where Kuwabara and his friends were. You saw the “bad guys” run away as one of Kuwabara's friends yelled after them. You smiled finding it funny. You had always wondered who one the fight since that was not given in the show.
Kuwabara and his friends gave each other congratulations to beating another group of punks when they noticed you. They looked at each other in wonder, knowing that hadn't seen you there before the fight had started and decided to introduce them selves to you.
You gasped at the grand stature that was Kuwabara. It was common knowledge to those who watched the show that the height of Kuwabara was basically unknown, but the common belief was he was either six feet or somewhere around that height. You, having seen him up close now, discovered that he might well be over six feet by a few inches.
You were filled with anticipation as your favorite character from one of your favorite shows stood in front of you. You felt a little intimidated by his grand stature, but didn't affect the amount of excitement that was already bubbling inside.
Kuwabara tilted his head at you as he looked down at you. He couldn't put his finger on it, but there was something different about you. You stood there, almost holding your breathe as you waited for what Kuwabara had to say to you. It was what you had waited to do for you entire life, and you had imagined it many times in your head how it would happen if you had ever met him in real life.
“Are you lost little girl?” he asked.
It all shattered into pieces with those words.
You stared up at him in shock, not able to comprehend what had just been said. You knew your face and other body features were that of a twelve year old or even a fourteen year old, however at the point you were in the show, that wouldn't had made Kuwabara any older then you if you really were twelve; he would only be two years older then you if that was the case.
Even though you had been mistaken many a time for being younger then your true age, this time seemed to upset you more then the rest. You were nineteen and in a few months you were to be twenty. What did a girl have to do just to be taken seriously, not to mention be able to not have to show their birth certificate every time they wanted to buy a lotto ticket?
You glared up at him.
“Excuse me? How do you even get the nerve to just ASSUME that I'm younger then you? Just cause I have a young face doesn't mean I'm younger then you! I'm five years older then you, so you know!” you said
Kuwabara was taken back by what you said. It was obvious by the pitch of your voice that you were not twelve, not to mention the fact your face changed a bit, not having the young innocent look it had a few moment before. He began to blush, embarrassed at the huge mistake he had just made.
“I'm sorry. You…you just look like a little girl!” Kuwabara said.
A twitching in your right eye was your main concern at the moment, other then the blood rushing to your cheeks.
`How dare he…he…grrr…' you thought before you took a deep breathe. `Calm down. Don't lose your cool. He does know you, so of course he wouldn't know your age.'
Kuwabara could sense the tension, but didn't notice the mood swings you had just had, trying to change the subject as quickly as possible, having known what a woman's wrath was like.
“My name is Kazuma Kuwabara and these guys are Okubo, Komada, and Kirishima.”
You had let out one final breathe, convincing your self that you must be calm and not kill your favorite character, no matter how insensitive he was at the moment. You looked up at him and saw him giving you his famous goofy smile, causing you to give him a weak smile back.
“I'm (Your__full__name). Nice to meet you guys.” You said.
“Do you live around here?” Komada asked
You turned to him, your mind in a panic though not showing it on your face.
`What am I going to tell these guys? I can't say that I'm from another universe! Maybe later I can, but not now! They wouldn't believe me and think me insane or something. I better think of something quick.' You thought.
You gave him a polite smile, testing your brain in speed thinking.
“Yeah…I'm…new. I just moved here from… the US!” you said, thinking that it wouldn't hurt to tell them a little of the truth.
They seemed surprised at that and were about to ask more questions, but the look on their faces when you felt weak in the knees; the day having caught up with you. You wobbled the blanket still around you. Kuwabara leaned forward.
“(Your__name)? You okay?” Kuwabara asked before he yelped at seeing you fall forward.
Kuwabara opened up his arms and caught you with his chest, and used his arms to situate you in a half hug. He looked down at you, as you lay against his chest, sleeping. Kuwabara could feel you sagging a bit, your legs giving out and picked you up like a baby, your head resting in the side of his neck, while one arm was around your back and the other positioned as a seat under your butt.
He looked at you, worried. You were out cold, and it was obvious since you nestled your head into the crook of his neck, causing Kuwabara to blush from head to toe; earning snickers from his three friends.
“She just passed out.” said Kirishima.
“What are we going to do? We don't know where she lives.” said Komada.
“Maybe one of us should take her home.” suggested Okubo.
“How about it Kuwabara? I mean, you're already carrying her, and she looks too comfy to move.” said Komada, a snicker on his face.
Kuwabara stared at them and growled.
“What?!” He shouted, blushing more. “I know she's `comfy', but….but…I'll feel weird taking her home. Why can't any of you guys do it?” he looked at his friends.
It wasn't as if Kuwabara didn't like you, in fact he thought you were one of the few women he had seen to be very beautiful, however bring home a beautiful, unconscious girl home was not the best thing. He could tell there was something different about you and was curious to find out more about you, but he wanted to do it not at his house where his nosy and bossy sister was.
The guys didn't answer him.
Kuwabara sighed.
“Fine, I'll bring her back with me.” Kuwabara said.
He started off towards his house carrying you. Kuwabara blushed more as he felt you shift in his arms, you clinging to his shirt a bit and snuggling in the crook of his neck; continuing to hug Kouga and cling to your blanket as well.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
From the sky Yusuke floated, stunned was an exaggeration of how he was feeling at the moment. It baffled him how Kuwabara could get lucky enough to have a gorgeous girl faint into his arms and snuggle up to him; not to mention have no other choice but to bring her back to his home.
Yusuke smiled at the thought of what would go on and started to laugh. An image of you waking up and screaming from seeing Kuwabara's face close to yours caused him to chuckle, where as you running away afterwards made Yusuke grin.
Botan glared at him, having thought he was having perverted ideas. Her eye twitched, Yusuke's only warning before her oar was brought up side Yusuke's head.
“What was that for?!” he yelled and rubbed his head.
“Like you didn't know, pervert!” she flew off, dragging Yusuke along by his ear.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
Warmth surrounded you as consciousness took over your dream like state. You snuggled into the warm for a moment, before realizing you were lying down, and on a soft bed for that matter. Your eyes opened, blinking several times before they were open. You shifted and looked up at the ceiling.
'It was just a dream.' You thought, giving a sigh.
However, you blinked up at the ceiling, noticing something different about the color. You took in a deep breath and found a smell of sweat and cinnamon, a smell you didn't recognize from your bed. Your bed normally smelled like fruit, from your shampoo and soap.
Your arms were still around Kouga as you sat up, your blanket falling into your lap. You looked around, eyes wide.
`This isn't my room.' you thought. `It does look familiar, though.'
The color was a white, though it seemed more so from the light coming from the open window, which was more like a sliding glass door then anything else. The bed was positioned near the window, the curtains able to touch the end of the bed; the head of the bed facing the window. Posters of Megalica(1) and other heavy punk rock bands, as well as some baseball posters surrounded the room.
You gasped.
`This is Kuwabara's room!' You thought, an episode from the first season of the Four Saint Beasts coming to mind.
You sat there, in awe at how much Kuwabara's room looked a little different from in the show; the room seeming a bit bigger. You looked out the window, realizing you were on the second floor of the building. A light tingle feeling in the back of your neck caused you to shiver.
`That feels familiar…' you thought before your eyes turn from the roof tops of the other buildings and to Kuwabara's balcony. `Oh wait, I know where I've felt this, it was back where I met Kuwabara…that's right! I can sense Yusuke and Botan! They must be outside looking at me…' you thought, smiling, before it disappeared and you continued to stare, now in thought.

`How long have I been out? This is so weird. I can't believe it.' You pinched your self and found that it hurt. `This is real! Shit! What am I going to do now? I don't even know how far into the series I slept! What am I going to do? I better try and figure out something to tell Kuwabara, until it's the right time to tell him and the other characters.'
You were so lost in thought that you didn't notice Kuwabara coming into the room. Kuwabara was deep in thought as well, and didn't notice that you were asleep. He blinked and looked towards the window, having also sensed a presence there; however he noticed you were awake.
“Hey sleeping beauty awakes! What ya looking at?” Kuwabara asked, walking over to his window and looking out the open balcony window.
You couldn't help but blush from the complement, and were glad he wasn't looking at you to notice it. Kuwabara looked hard out, knowing too well who that presence was. However, he continued to look, more so in thought then actually looking for his rival.
After you got your self in order, you glanced at him, the sun light of the setting sun, taking your breathe away as his profile was out lined with the sun's golden rays. You shook your head, clearing it of what was attempting to enter you mind. You had other thoughts you needed to think about.
`Shit, what am I going to do? I figured I had some more time to think up an excuse, well let me find out how far I am into the show.' You thought.
“How long have I been sleeping?” you asked.
“Three days, you were really tired.” Kuwabara said, turning to look at you with a serious look on his face.

“Three days, you were really tired.” Kuwabara said, turning to look at you with a serious look on his face.
“So…” Kuwabara started, walking over to his desk that was across from the bed, he turned the chair around. “…tell me a little bit about you.”
Kuwabara sat with his legs around the back of the chair and rested his head on his arms that were folded over each other on top of the chair's back rest.
“I mean, it's only fair I know at least some stuff about you, since you've been sleeping in my bed for three days…not that I mind, it's just its kind of weird.” Kuwabara said.
Kuwabara gave you a look that you couldn't quiet place, having never seen it on his face before, though you hadn't watched all of the episodes, so you weren't sure if he ever had this look on him before.

Kuwabara gave you a look that you couldn't quiet place, having never seen it on his face before, though you hadn't watched all of the episodes, so you weren't sure if he ever had this look on him before.
He wasn't sure what he should do. In the past three days, he had been thinking about everything he knew about you and all that he didn't. He had many questions, but didn't know if he should just ask you or just wait until you felt ready to tell him. However, he figured, with what he knew that it would be better to let you tell him in time.
Besides that, he was in too much pain from the beatings he had been receiving from every single punk he beat up in the past three years and maybe even from his previous life, not to mention the lack of sleep he was receiving from doing two days straight of studying. He was going to out wit that rat face of a teacher, and he wouldn't let anything distract him; not even the fact he had a strange girl sleeping in his room, let alone his bed; though he knew that after the week was up and he gave all those punks the beatings they deserved, he would have time to ponder this new situation.
You looked into his brown eyes, a bit surprised that they were not blue like you had thought, and noticed bags under them, not to mention bruises and cuts around them, and on other spots on his face. You glanced to the side of Kuwabara and noticed a few books, one having a library card sticking out of it; all the books labeled Science or Basic Science.
`I'm still in the third episode. That teacher must have already given the second challenge, by the looks of all the books.' You thought. `What should I tell him though…now that I know where in the seriesI am, what should I tell him…'
You continued to think, your eyes still looking into Kuwabara's, who seemed to also be lost in thought. A smile crossed your lips as an idea came to mind.
`I know! Thank God for my acting classes I took in high school.' You thought, not noticing Kuwabara was still spacing out.
The idea you had was an idea from a movie you had seen, though you forgot what movie it was from. The idea was to pretend to have amnesia, though one where you only know your name, age, location, and current events.
You placed your hand to your head, to add to the effect as if you were trying to remember something.
“Unh…I…I can't seem to really remember…all I do remember is I use to live in the United States sometime and that my name is (Your__full__name) and that I am 16 years old…everything else…unh…” you said, closing your eyes, and pressing your palms to your eyes, adding more to the effect. “Everything else is fuzzy…”
You had decided that going back to school wouldn't be sooo bad the second time, especially if it was with Kuwabara and Yusuke, though you made your self 16 so you wouldn't have to go to school for TOO long. You thought it would be fun, but you weren't so bored were you would do the four years in stead of two.
“Well…” Kuwabara said, after giving you a critical look. “What's the last thing you DO remember?”
You remove your palms from your eyes and look at him.
“Ummm…well…I remember watching TV…” you said, deciding to use some of the truth in your little white lie.
You didn't like lying, so you decided to use truth and fiction to create a believable story.
“…and then I heard a noise before there was a flash…and then the next thing I knew, I was in the middle of the sidewalk in my Pjs…” you said with a flush.
Kuwabara seemed to be studying you, calculating what you had said, before giving a nod. He seemed to realize something, by the look on his face.
“Wait, I thought you said you were 5 years older then me?” Kuwabara said.
Kuwabara made it a point to remember what others said. He figured that if he kept close attention to what others said he could use it for later use or figured that it could be important for later use.
`Shit…I forgot that! I got to learn to keep my cool next time.' You thought.
Impressed that you were with Kuwabara's memory, you were still disappointed in yourself for losing your cool as quickly as you did.
“Oh…well…I…I was just upset and I didn't know how old you were….so I just used the first number that came into my head.” You said.
You held your breath, knowing that everything else you had said was a long shot for Kuwabara to believe, but this one right here was something that you were really taking a risk with. Your fingers were crossed under your blanket, praying that he wouldn't see right through you and believe you. Luck was on your side, since Kuwabara nodded in understanding. However, he didn't seem to really care about the age difference, having something else on his mind.
“I understand.” He said. “I'm sorry about the `little girl' comment. So about your memory…you have amnesia or something?”
You nodded.
Kuwabara gave you another critical look, causing you to think if Kurama took lessons from Kuwabara. Without warning, Kuwabara stood up and left the room. You sat on the bed, blinking at where Kuwabara once sat, before turning your eyes towards the open door that lead out of his room. Before you could even process what happened, Kuwabara came back into the room carrying some clothes. He handed you some black pants and a long white shirt, though it was long on you.
“Here. These are my sis's. I know she won't mind you borrow' in `em until we get you some clothes.” He said.
You looked at the clothes and then back up at him.
“Don't worry about a place to stay. I don't mind havin' a roomy for awhile. You can stay here until you get yer memories back.” Kuwabara said with a smile.
You looked up at him, blinking. You were stunned at how generous he was, but snapped out of it and gave him a smile.
“Thanks.” You said.
Kuwabara smiled at you before turning and leaving the room, letting you know that you could change in his room.
Once he left, you stood up to change. You froze in the middle of taking off your shirt and flushed, remembering the figure outside the open window. You pulled the shirt down and rushed to the window, closing it before closing the curtains. You turned around; face red, from both anger and embarrassment.
`If he spies on me I'll give him such a beating when he comes back, that he would wish he was dead!' you thought.
You let out a breathe, calming down, before going back to changing out of your pjs into the clothes Kuwabara had given you. Once changed, you folded your clothes and carried them out of the room, looking for Kuwabara. Your stomach growled, indicating you were hungry, which wasn't too surprising since you hadn't eaten in three days.
“Now…where's the kitchen…” you think aloud as you look down the hallway.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
A few minutes earlier, out side the window, Yusuke and Botan watched you give your explanation to Kuwabara, who believed it; to Yusuke's surprise.
“Amnesia, huh? Doesn't look like it. How can someone forget everything about themselves but not their name and age?! It makes no sense! I think she's up to something.” He said, narrowing his eyes at you.
Botan turned to him.
“It could happen, actually.” Botan said.
Yusuke looked at her surprised.
“Really?”
“Uh huh…” Botan said, reaching into her komodo and taking out a small red book that had `UnusuallyCases' on the cover. “There have been several cases like hers where the person can only remember current events or even their name, age, and location. Sometimes it happens the other way around, like they can't remember anything from day to day. These amnesia cases usually happen after a traumatic event, or even after a traumatic accident.” Botan said closing the book and putting it back into her sleeve.
“So she must have some kind of accident that was so traumatic that she doesn't want to remember her past and only remembers from after the accident.” Botan said, turning a sad look towards you.
Yusuke looked at Botan before turning his attention back to you, a thoughtfully look crossing his face.
“Oh.”
It was here were he noticed Kuwabara left the room. Yusuke's eyes wandered to you and noticed you standing up. His eyes widened as his mouth dropped when he could see the upper part of your back, and since you didn't sleep with a bra on, meant you were half naked under your Pjs; having boxers that had Scooby-Doo on them underneath your pants.
“What the heck is she doing?!” he shouted.
He froze when you pulled your shirt back down and turned around, seeming to be looking right at him. He eeped and jumped backwards as he saw a death look sent straight at him.
“Damn it, she sees us!” he said.
“I told you before that she can't, she can just sense us!” said an annoyed Botan.
Yusuke gulped as he watched you storm over to the window, closing it and the curtains.
He gave a sigh of relief and of disappointment, being the pervert that he was, he wouldn't have mind seeing a little more skin.
“Well there's nothing else to see here, why don't we check in on Kekio.” said Yusuke.
He flew off towards Keiko's house.
“Wait up Yuskue.” called Botan before she followed behind him.
She wanted to keep a close eye on him. He was suppose to be taking care of that egg and only gives good vibes to it; however the way things were going, him being the pervert he was, it seemed he would most likely be eaten by a horrible beast.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
Eventually you found the stairs, after finding two other rooms to the upstairs and a bathroom. You came down the steps and found the front door was a few feet from where the steps ended. You turned to your right and there was what looked to be a small living room, only having a couch, a love seat to fit two, a small coffee table, and a decent size TV.
You stepped off the step and walked towards a light that shone from another room that seemed to be under the master bed room, which was next to Kuwabara's room. A table and chairs indicated that the area a little way from the couch was the dinning room, meaning the kitchen wasn't too far. You peeked into the open door way, that didn't have a door, and found a small, yet decent size kitchen.
To your left was a counter that lined the kitchen wall from the door to the end of that wall and half way across the next wall, only stopping because of the Refrigerator. Kuwabara was in the Freezer, above the Refrigerator, searching for his dinner. He pulled out a Hungry Man dinner and closed the door to the Freezer.
“Hungry?” Kuwabara asked, startling you.
He didn't look at you as he started to prepare his TV dinner.
“Yeah.” You said, taking a few steps into the kitchen, and finding the floor a little cold.
You shiver slightly, and hold your folded clothes against your chest. You looked down and realized you still had your clothes.
“You can leave your clothes on the chair over there.” Kuwabara said, pointing really fast to a chair that was next to you.
You looked at it and found a small table accompanied it as well as another chair, the small set not upsetting the kitchen even in its small size. You nod before saying a thank you and place your clothes on the chair.
“You want one?” he asked, going back to the Refrigerator.
“Sure what kind do you have?” you asked, walking up behind him towards the refrigerator.
He moved to the side enough for you to look in at the different varieties of TV dinners.
“Plenty, my sister isn't big on cooking and I'm not too big of a fan of it either, so we get different varieties.” he said.
You nodded, understanding, also coming from a family that wouldn't have too many `family dinners' together. It wasn't like you couldn't cook or like you didn't get along with your mom and brother, that was not the case, but between your weird working hours and your brother going to high school and your mother working during the day, there really wasn't any time to spend time with each other and have a `dinner' together.
You looked at your choices and reached for one of your favorite TV dinners. You took it out and looked at it. It was a Chicken Breast dinner that had corn, mash potatoes on the side and a brownie for desert. Kuwabara closed the door.
He turned to you, with a smile, though he disappears when you put your dinner on the table and take a seat. You had decided that he should cook his dinner first.
“Aren't you gonna cook yours first?” he asked.
You look at him.
“I'll wait until you cook yours.”
He gave you a funny look before taking your dinner off the table and walked over to where his spare rib entrée, with a side of mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, and an apple cobbler for desert was and prepared your dinner.
“Hey!” you said, standing up.
“You haven't eaten in three days and should eat first.” He said, poking holes in the mash potatoes before opening up the microwave and sticking your TV dinner in for the time it said on the box.
You blinked, not expecting him to say that, not to mention cook your dinner for you.
Kuwabara went back to his dinner, a small blush on his face.
`This is so awesome! I'm gonna eat dinner with a beautiful girl, who's gonna stay at my house! Sure she's weird and got some issues, but still! The guys are sooo not gonna believe me!' Kuwabara thought, his famous cocky grin on his face.
You lost interest in watching the back of Kuwabara work on his own TV dinner, wondering why it was taking him so long to finish his dinner. You look around and figure you should set up the table, so you looked in some of the cabinets, looking for plates and cups. On the second try you found some and look for some forks and knives, finding them in the drawer that was directly under where you found the plates. You grabbed some of the napkins from the small table in the kitchen and set up the table in the dinning room/living room.
You looked over to the microwave, finding your food being taken out and Kuwabara's put in.
“Dinner's up!” Kuwabara announced turning to you with a grin.
“Great!” you said, getting your plate and going over to Kuwabara.
“There's drinks in the fridge.” Kuwabara said, in the fridge. “What do ya want?”
“What do you have?” You asked, after bringing your plate over to the table and setting it down.
“Pepsi, water, OJ…” Kuwabara started.
“Pepsi sounds good.” You answer with a smile.
Kuwabara takes out a can of Pepsi and a container of OJ.
`I can't believe they have some of the same brand names! I was expecting some sort of pun off of the real products.' You thought as you were handed the can.
You went back to your seat and poured your drink into the cup you had set out. Kuwabara leaned up against the counter, watching his dinner spin around and around. You sat down and started to sip your drink, not willing to eat until his dinner was done. You sighed, not liking the silence and decided to make a conversation.
“So…” you started, catching Kuwabara's attention, which looked at you. “… What happened to your face? It looks like someone ate you, chewed you out and repeated the process three more times?”
You had been told that your attitude was blunt, rude, and un `lady like' behavior, and many times had been called `Yusuke' from your friends who knew of the show and/or people who just knew the show. You were always a tom boy, which annoyed your mother to no end. She wanted you to become a young lady and grow up being successful, yet still keeping your feminism. However, you didn't think that would happen anytime soon, and in order to keep in line with the story you had told you had to ask questions, even if you knew the answers to them.
Kuwabara glared at you.
“What's that suppose to mean?!” he shouted.
He gave him self a mental slap, and sighed.
“Sorry, I just recently lost someone close to me and you kind of remind me of him.” He said, not looking at you.
Kuwabara was reminded of Urameshi with that comment you had made, and even though he wouldn't admit it aloud, he had thought of his arch rival as something more then a goal, but maybe a friend, someone he could look up too and try and be, for the good traits and learn from his bad ones. Urameshi was his idol, which no one, not even his friends could understand.
You felt a pain go through your heart.
`I hurt him with that comment. I guess my friends are right, I do act like Yusuke sometimes.' You think and then feel another pain, remembering your friends, though few they were.
“I'm sorry.” You said.
It was at this moment Kuwabara's dinner finished, a clear, loud beeping echoing in the room, or so it seemed; because of the awkward silence. Kuwabara walked over to the table and picked up his plate and brought it back to where the microwave was, putting his dinner on the plate, with out burning him self. You watched him lick his fingers from removing the plastic from the container before throwing the plastic away in the trash next to the table in the kitchen.
Kuwabara walked over to the table, licking his fingers still, while his other hand held the plate. Kuwabara set his plate on the table and sat down. He looked at you and then at your plate.
“You could have started with out me.” Kuwabara said, pointing to your plate.
“I know, but it's rude.” You said, with a weak smile.
Kuwabara thought about that and nodded, agreeing. The two of you started to eat in silence, when, once again the silence got to you.
“So…” you started, taking a sip of your Pepsi. “…what did happen?”
Kuwabara sighed, taking another sip of his OJ.
“Remember when me and my friends beat up those other guys three days ago?” he waits for you to nod before he continued.
“Well the cry babies told their mommies, who called my school. My stupid teacher, who loves to make my life a living hell, told me I can't fight for a week, or my friend Okubo would lose his job. So, every one of my enemies found out that I can't fight and are using it against me.”
You looked at him.
`He's sticking to his promise…no doubt, he's just awesome…' you thought, remembering his promise he had made to Okubo, about not telling anyone that he needed the job to support the family since his mother was out of work.
“I'm sorry. I can beat him up for ya if you want?” you said, teasing. Kuwabara stared at you and then noticed the smirk on your face.
“I would love to see that.” Kuwabara said, with a cocky grin.
You started to eat.
“So what else do you have to do for this guy…you know? I doubt its just not being able to fight for a week…” you asked.
Kuwabara started to eat as well.
“Well…” Kuwabara started, taking a sip of his Pepsi. “…I gotta pass a science test, which isn't one of my best subjects, heck none of them are my best subjects. Well, maybe except gym, but that's `cause you don't really hafta do anything.” Kuwabara said, before stuffing in some mashed potatoes.
You started to laugh at that, and the two of you started to eat for a few minutes, both starving. It wasn't too long that the two of you were done, both stuffed.
“Well…” you said, taking a sip from your Pepsi. “I would be glad to help you with your science test. I can help you study. Science is one of my best subjects! Science and history, I suck at math, so don't even think about help there.” You laughed.
Kuwabara's eyes seemed to light up at that.
“Really?! Oh, thank you! I really need help with it! I've been studying for the past two days!”
You smiled at him.
“No problem. When do you want to start?”
He picked up his and your dish and put them in the sink.
“How's right now?”
“Ok” you said.
The two of you took your drinks and walked up stairs, Kuwabara explaining what exactly he was stuck with and not understanding. When you got into his room, the two of you went to his desk; you pulled over a stool and sat next to him, looking over at the book he had opened. You blushed slightly at how close the two of you were, but it soon disappeared as you turned your focus on helping Kuwabara understand the material in front of him.
This went on for three hours before a yawn came from the both of you. You were happy to see that Kuwabara had seemed to understand the material, and could see where he was having problems with what chemical was in what substance.
“Ok, that's good for tonight, now time for sleep. Since I'm up, you can have your bed back.” You said, standing up and stretching.
You sighed and walked over to his bed, picking up your blanket and Kouga.
“No you can have it; I'm starting to like the couch anyway.” Kuwabara said, standing up and stretching himself.
You knew that he had lied, but you decided not to push. You knew that when Kuwabara made up his mind, then that was it.
You bowed.
“Thank you.” You said a smile on your face.
He smiled back. Kuwabara turned around and looked through his draw for a few moments before turning back to you with a long blue shirt and baggy blue pants for you to sleep in. You took them from him.
“My sis is doin' the wash tomorrow, so I'll throw your stuff in with mine tomorrow.” Kuwabara said.
Kuwabara turned back to his drawer and grabbed a shirt and boxers for him self.
He closed the drawer and turned to leave.
“Are you going to sign up for school tomorrow.” He asked as he stood in the door way, turned towards you.
You could tell he really wanted you there with him, probably because you reminded him of Yusuke.
“No problem. I'll get my uniform tomorrow.” You said with a smile, hugging the clothes he gave you.
He smiled at you and left.

You felt someone shaking your shoulders. You groaned.
"(Your__name)! Hey wake up! We have to leave soon!"
You pulled your Scooby-Doo blanket over your head.
"I don't wanna go to school...." you whined.
You epped when you felt your Scooby-Doo blanket pulled off. You growled and turned an angry face to Kuwabara who looked down at you with a serious look. It was clear by the look he was giving you that he had tried to wake up for a while.
You had always been a deep sleeper; you could even sleep through an earthquake! You sat up, still glaring at Kuwabara, hugging your self, finding Kuwabara's room unusually cold. Kuwabara held your blanket and put it over his shoulder, before crossing his arms over his chest.
You growled and jumped forward, trying to grab your blanket back. This had shocked Kuwabara and he took a step backwards from the attack, causing you to fall to the floor with a groan.
“Damn it….” You growled.
Kuwabara looked down at you, which was a funny sight. Your legs were in the air, leaning against the bed as your face had a scowl on it as it lay against the floor. Kuwabara couldn't help but chuckle at the funny scene; however his eyes glanced towards his clock on his desk.
"Come on! We need to get to school early!" Kuwabara said sounding just as aggravated as you at the moment.
You sat up and was about to yell at him when the words `early' clicked in your brain. You turned your head towards the clock, and even at the angle you were sitting on the floor, it was clear that the clock read 6:01 am. You turned a twitching eye towards a still annoyed Kuwabara, giving him a `whatthe hell is your problem?!' look.
"It's too early to leave for school! Doesn't school start at like....8:30 or something?" you asked.
In Japan, school was way different then in America. They had school from Monday to Saturday, Saturdays being half days, and the only day off they had were Sundays. They also went to school a little earlier then the ones back in America. The one you used to go to was from 9 am till 3:30pm. You were starting to wish that you had told him your real age so you could sleep in and enjoy not having to worry about work; however it was too late now. No turning back as the saying went.
"School starts at 8, but I wanna leave at 7:30 and get to school early. I don't wanna run into any of my enemies on the way. It wouldn't be good since they would use you to get me to fight and all, and according to my code of honor, I must always help a woman in need!” Kuwabara said his head up and proud as he said that, making your eye twitched a little more. “And I can't fight to protect you and keep my promise to Okubo at the same time.” Kuwabara said.
'How dare he think I can't fight for my self?! I'm a black belt and three stripes in karate!' you thought until, his words had fully sunk in.
You knew that what he had said was true, and even if you could defend your self, Kuwabara didn't know that and since you didn't have a `memory', you couldn't tell him that.
"Besides, I figured you needed more time then me to get ready." Kuwabara added, causing your anger to rise like a phoenix, your eye twitching again.
`What does he mean I might need more then him to get ready?! I'm a girl, but I don't take 45 minute showers and I definitelydon't take hours getting ready! I'll show him!' you thought.
Your blood was coursing through your veins as you jumped up rushing past a shocked Kuwabara towards the bathroom, grabbing a towel on your way. After a ten minute shower, you came out feeling more relaxed. You wrapped the towel around your self and let your hair lay flat framing your face, making your appearance become mature looking. You walked out of the bathroom towards Kuwabara's room and stopped in the doorway.
Kuwabara sat at his desk, wearing his school uniform and leaning over his science book. You smiled and leaned against the door, placing your left hand on your hip as you watched him. You couldn't seem to look away. It had to have been the way the rising sun was shining through the open curtains, because Kuwabara seemed to be glowing as he sat in that chair, his pure innocent and true good nature shining brilliantly in front of your eyes.
'This is why he's my favorite character. He is so loyal and never quits. He is just too cool. I can't believe that not many people like him.' you laughed to your self. 'You probably couldn't tell I like him from who's my second favorite character.' you think. 'Wait, why am I talking to my self again?' you always did this and it kind of crept you out some times.
You felt your breathe taken away at how beautiful he looked at this moment, his hair not gelled up into its `Elvis' style. His hair being curly like most people excepted though it didn't fall over his face or frame it as most people figured, but stayed up in a loose version of his normal style. It was obvious not all of the gel was out of his hair, but it didn't matter, he still looked stunning.
A cold breeze caused you to shiver slightly, though you weren't sure if it was just the cold breeze or if it was how Kuwabara looked and was making you feel at that moment.
Kuwabara sensed someone in the room, his instincts having not sensed anything early for being too absorbed into his studying. He blinked down at the paper and turned, looking up at you who leaned in the door way, watching him with a strange look.
He gasped as his eyes widened at you. You stood there in a dream like state staring at him with a beautiful smile. However, his face turned tomato red at the fact you were standing there with only a towel covering most of your breasts and stopping at mid thigh. He couldn't help but eye you up from your nice slim smooth legs to your almost perfect curves to your stunning face that seemed to shin in the golden sun light.
'Snap out of it Kuwabara! You need to focus on studying for that science test!' he thought, still not moving his eyes from your body, but more so your face that seemed to glow with beauty.
You were snapped out of your own daze as you noticed Kuwabara's face seemed to turn pure red, not to mention a weird look crossing his face. You tilt your head at him, causing Kuwabara to gulp a bit, making you a bit concerned. Another cool breeze brought you back to reality that you basically were wearing nothing, your eyes widening at the realization and causing you to look down at your self. Your face turned just as red, if not even redder, then Kuwabara as you closed Kuwabara's door with a slam and rushed back to the bathroom, slamming that door as well.
'That was embarrassing.' you though.
You leaned up against the door, out of breath and touching your face with your right hand as your left held your towel on tight, amazed that it hadn't fallen off in your rush.
Kuwabara sat there, stunned to his desk, his blush still on his face and didn't seem like it would ever vanish. He stared at the door for a few more minutes, your image still in his mind's eye. He knew it would always be there, no matter how many beatings he would get from his sister and even from Yusuke if he was still alive. That thought had snapped Kuwabara out of his stupor. He stood up and went to his drawer, taking out a spare uniform that he didn't need to wear.
A few minutes later you heard some foots steps coming up to the door and then a light knock on it.
“Y-…” you cleared your throat. “Yes…?” you asked your voice still too low to really hear from behind a door.
You could hear Kuwabara take in a calming breathe from behind the door you leaned against.
"I have some cloths you can use until you get the girls uniform at school. I'll meet you in the kitchen." Kuwabara said.
You let out a sigh of relief when you heard Kuwabara put something at the door and footsteps running away, and even down the stairs.
You waited a few minutes taking a deep breathe before you opened the door. You stuck your head out and looked around, happy to see no one in sight. You gave another sigh of relief before you looked down to see what you would be wearing for the day and sweat dropped. You bent down, the towel still around you and looked at the oversized boy uniform that was obviously Kuwabara's.
You sighed.
'I'll look like a twelve year old boy in his older brother's uniform! Oh well, I might as well use it.' you closed the door behind you and started to get ready.
"(Your__name)! Hey wake up! We have to leave soon!"
You pulled your Scooby-Doo blanket over your head.
"I don't wanna go to school...." you whined.

Out side of Kuwabara's room was a stunned Yusuke.
"Whoa! I can't believe how calm Kuwabara was after seeing THAT!” Yusuke said. “Man, that (Your__name) has some nice..." Yusuke started.
Botan whacked him in the back of the head with her oar.
"Yusuke that was perverted! You Hentai! You should be ashamed of yourself! From the energies you're giving off, you'll definitely be eaten by a horrible beast, once the egg hatches." she said, glaring.
Yusuke rubbed that back of his head, sending a glare towards Botan.
"That hurt! It's not like I really SAW anything!"
Botan glared at him.
"Fine." Yusuke grumbled, knowing that a woman's glare was nothing to be messed with.
He sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets, turning his focus back to Kuwabara's room. Yusuke noticed Kuwabara get one of his uniforms and leave his room. Yusuke raised an eyebrow at this.
"I wonder what he's doing with that?" he asked aloud to himself.
"I think he's going to lend it to (Your__name). That's so sweet!" she said.
"She's too short to wear it! It'll probably fall off." Yusuke said with a snort.
Pain rushed to his head as he was once again whacked in the back of his head, sending him into a forward flip, before stopping with his feet in the air and his head upside down facing a glaring Botan.
"What did I just say!" she said.
Yusuke rubbed the spot he was whacked and straightened himself out.
"What?! I'm just saying that it's too big for her! Geeze and you call me the Hentai!" Yusuke snort.
Yusuke got another whack for that comment.
Before he could say or do anything, a slam of a door grabbed his attention. Yusuke turned to see Kuwabara and you walking out of the house, you wearing Kuwabara's uniform, which looked as if it was giving you a hard time.
"Let's follow them." said Yusuke curious to see how you would survive wearing the uniform.
Yusuke floated behind the two of you, Botan not too far behind Yusuke.
'I have to keep an eye on this guy.' she thought.

You growled, rolling up the pant legs for what seemed like the millionth time during the walk.
"I still think it would've been easier to just cut them off." you said.
The sleeves and leg pants were too big and just having them rolled up like they were was just annoying.
"No way! I only have three pairs! Besides, it's not like your going to keep it! You're going to get the girl uniform once you sighed up for school." he said.
You had been walking for 10 minutes in silence, mostly because you were too busy with your uniform to make conversation. You were not a morning person and this was not the time to be dealing with clothing issues! What made matters worse was you could sense Yusuke and Botan right above you guys, following you.
'Now I know how Kuwabara must have felt when Yusuke was following him during that week...or this week....or….oh this is just too confusing!! `You shouted in your head.
You then felt a chill go down your spine causing you to shutter. You didn't know why, but you had a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen, and your feelings were always right. You had them for as long as you can remember. That was one of the reasons why you liked Kuwabara from the show, because he had some of the same `instincts' you had.
The only thing you didn't have was his telepathy, which he only used twice in the entire show, the spirit sword, and seeing ghosts. The only thing you two had in common was the ability to sense things. Like how you could sense when something bad was going to happen, or you had a very good sense of direction, like Kuwabara. Yes, that was basically all you had in common, along with his honorable traits, and was why he was your favorite character.
Kuwabara stopped walking and seemed to position himself at an angle that seemed to block you. You stopped walking also, not wanting to run into Kuwabara and looked up at him. He had a serious look to his face and seemed to be tense about something he was staring at in front of him. There were three guys in the middle of the side walk, blocking you and Kuwabara's path to school. They looked rough and had evil smiles on their faces. Another chill slivered down your spine at those looks.
'It must be those guys that are causing this feeling.' you thought.
Kuwabara clenched his fists and glared at the new comers, who were unable to see you from how protectively Kuwabara stood in front of you.
"What do ya guys want?" Kuwabara said with a growl.
You were taken back by how `predatorily' Kuwabara had sounded. You never knew Kuwabara growled! Sure you had seen him growl in one of the two movies, but you had thought that was just improvising from the voice actor. You couldn't explain the feeling you got deep inside, as if you wanted to growl or cling to Kuwabara. However, under the circumstances that were in front of you, not to mention how embarrassing that would have been for the two of you, you were able to control both urges and just stand behind Kuwabara.
'What was that? That's weird. I never felt like this before.' you thought, not paying attention to the world around you.
Though, your thoughts didn't last long as they were interrupted by a whistle.
You looked up and gasped at the sight in front of you. Kuwabara was a few feet in front of you, getting the crap beaten out of him by two of the guys. The third guy was looking at you evilly and coming towards you. You shuttered under that look.
“Hey there, why is such a beautiful babe like you hanging with ugly baka like Kuwabara?" the guy said.
You could feel your blood boiling. You narrowed your eyes at him.
"Buzz off baka yaio!" you said.
You loved the Japanese vocabulary for bad words. You thought they sounded better. This word meant asshole and you thought it sounded much better then using the English word.
Kuwabara lay face down on the ground, bleeding a bit. The two guys who were beating on him stopped, seeming to get bored at having a non-responsive Kuwabara, not to mention one that wouldn't fight back. They had heard your comment and started to laugh.
"She played you!" said one of them.
Instead of getting angry from your comment or from his friend's teasing, the guy smirked at you, another chill going down your spine as the look he held turned into lust.
"You're a feisty one. That's how I like my play things." he said, trying to intimidate you as he took a step forward, his arm reaching for your face.
“Leave her alone!” shouted Kuwabara, causing the teen to stop in his action and turn around. Kuwabara stumbled to his feet, a pissed look on his face. “I'm the one you want, so leave her out of this."
'Shit! If he tries and protects me from these perverts, then he'll mess up the show! I have to do something fast!' you thought.
You sighed, knowing that you had to fight, though you wished you could have waited a little longer to get some action.
"You like them feisty, ne? Well I'll show you feisty!" you say, causing the man to turn, however what greeted him wasn't too pretty, as your foot made some hard connection to his lower region.
His eyes widened as he felt the rush of pain flow through his body, his hands moving to the injured spot as if that would help relieve the pain. His two friends watched on in shock as their leader feel to his knees, his head down as he started to cry. They turned angry glares towards your direction before charging at you. An evil smile crossed your lips as you knew their time would come.
"I knew you would do that." you said.
You ran a little towards them before jumping into the air and kicking them both in their jaws, with both legs, which gave you enough momentum to do a backwards flip and land on your legs, standing in a defensive position. They were on the ground, knocked out cold. The leader stood up, still holding the injured area.
"YOU BITCH!!" he yelled and limped towards you.
"WHO YOU CALLING A BITCH?!!!" you shouted as your face turned red and your eye twitched with rage.
As soon as the doomed teen was about to strike you with a punch, you gave him a round house kick that sent him flying into a nearby tree.
You turned to a stunned Kuwabara. You walked over to him, making sure not to step on the still knocked out lackeys on the ground. You started to breathe heavily from not only the small work out you had done, but from how pissed off you still were.
“Call me a bitch will you…” you growl before turning around and finding a stunned Kuwabara, his mouth hanging open. “Come on, let's get out of here before they wake up and get their asses kicked more.” You snorted.
Kuwabara didn't move. He was still too much in shock to really comprehend what had just taken place.
"How did you...when did you...what the..." Kuwabara couldn't complete any of his sentences as you pulled him away from the site.
You didn't know where the school was, but you didn't care. All you knew was that you needed to get out of there fast, before some more heads would be rolling. You began to calm down as you walked further down the street, still pulling Kuwabara by his hand. After a few minutes, Kuwabara got back his composure and stopped, causing you to fall backwards. He was able to catch you. You looked up at him.
'What's going on with me to day?' you thought, as you blush up at him.
You felt your body warm up at how perfect your body seemed to fit with his. His arms seemed to wrap around you as you lay against his nice firm chest as you looked up into his brown eyes that seemed to be slightly confused, yet amazed at the same time.
"Hold on a minute." Kuwabara said, as he helped you stand up on your own two feet and looking at him.
"How did you do that?! Those moves were awesome!" he said, still holding you.
Kuwabara didn't know why he continued to hold you the way he did, all he did know was it felt good to hold you in his arms the way he did, and he didn't want to let you go.
You began to panic a bit, knowing that you couldn't tell him you had taken karate for ten years. Your cover would be blown the instant you said that, not to mention the many questions that would follow such an answer; like `tell me more about your self?'
"I don't know...I guess I'm starting to remember some stuff...like...fighting?" you said, hoping he'd believe that.
You looked up at Kuwabara as he seemed to ponder what you said for a moment before a grin appeared on his lips. He set you up right before turning you around to face him.
"That's great that you're starting to remember stuff! Maybe you'll remember a lot more things and soon you'll be able to go back home." he said.
You let the breath you didn't know you were holding.
'It seems he's happy for me.' you thought, as he started to walk a head of you.

Above you Yusuke, who was staring down on the scene that just took place was completely stunned.
"Geeze, I better not make her mad!" Yusuke said.
Botan smiled.
"You go girl!"
Yusuke looked at Botan and sweat dropped.
"It's kind of late to say that." he said.
Botan hit Yusuke in the head with her oar.
"What was that for?!"
"For being a jerk!" Botan said.
Yusuke rubs his head.
"You just like hitting me in the back of my head, don't you?"
Botan smiles.
"BINGO!"

You finally got to school and went straight to the office to sign up for school.
Kuwabara told you that he would wait for you out in the hallway. As he waited, his friend's came up to him. However, they looked at him more then worried at how messed up Kuwabara's face was.
"Really Kuwabara, I can always get another job?" said Okubo.
Kuwabara just laughed at that comment.
"It's ok. I can handle it. I took worse from Urameshi! Besides, I miss his daily beatin's anyway!" said Kuwabara laughing more.
You ran up to them in your new uniform. This one was more aggravating then Kuwabara's! The skirt was a little too high for comfort.
'I feel like I'm wearing Kagome's short skirt from InuYasha!' you thought.
"Kuwabara, I change my mind, I rather wear your cloths then this!" you said while pulling the skirt down so it could cover your knees.
You never liked wearing something that revealing. Well, not when you were normal. There were days that you felt like you needed to look sexy, but today defiantly wasn't that kind of day.
You look up, after finally getting the skirt the way you like it, and saw Kuwabara's friends staring at you. Kuwabara was just smiling at your antics.
"Guys, you remember (Your__name). She's gonna stay with me until she gets her memories back. She forgot everything; `cept for her name, age, and that she's from America, hence her accent." Kuwabara said amused at how his friends looked at him when he told them she was living with him.
"What?! Are you crazy?!" said Kirishima
"Yeah, where is she sleeping?" asked Okubo. "There are not enough rooms at your place."
"I'm sleeping in his room." you said.
This caused them to sweat drop.
"Perverts! I'm sleeping on the couch!" said Kuwabara, guessing what they were thinking.
All you could do was giggle. It was funny.

The rest of the week went fine. You helped Kuwabara study every night for three hours. He was improving every time the two of you would study together. You were going to make sure that stupid teacher of his wouldn't have a chance to change Kuwabara's grade by erasing one answer. You wanted Kuwabara to pass by more then 50 points.
You still slept in his bed and he still slept on the couch. Kuwabara promised he would buy you more clothes and a bed sometime this week. You didn't mind, though. Wearing his cloths and sleeping in his bed. It was all fine. You actually enjoyed it. There was something about sleeping in his bed and in his cloths that made you feel safe. That was the kind of feeling you never wanted to escape.
In order to avoid more fights, like the one you had, you convinced Kuwabara to wear a disguise to school. It was hard, with his big ego, but you finally convinced by using his honor against him.
"Why don't you wear this hat and sunglasses?" you asked him once.
"Because, I'm not a whip who run and hides from my enemies! It's my code of honor!" he said, folding his hands across his chest.
You were quiet for a moment, when you got an excellent idea.
"What would you do if I wasn't able to defend my self from one of your enemies and they started to beat me up?" you asked all innocent like.
"I would beat their brains out that's what I'll do." he said with out hesitation.
"And that is why you need a disguise! Because if I wasn't able to defend my self you, according to your honor code, would have to defend me, hence breaking your promise to Okubo." You got him.
You smiled to your self for you idea. Kuwabara thought about it and finally gave in. So for the rest of the week you and he would leave for school at different times so his enemies could expect what time to catch either of you.
It was finally the day before the test and the day before the whole ordeal was over. You had both been studying for hours when you fell asleep from exhaustion. Kuwabara smiled at you.
'(Your__name)has been such a great friend. She definitely deserves to sleep.' he thought.
He walked over to his bed and took your blanket and placed it around your shoulders. He smiled as you instinctively pull it around you and snuggle into it. Kuwabara sat down and studied. It wasn't too much later when exhaustion caught up with him and he too fell asleep.
The next day, you noticed Kuwabara was more excited about the test and already up before you. You smiled to yourself.
'Yusuke must have helped him. At least I'm not screwing up too much of the story.' you thought.
You decided to leave early and not with Kuwabara. You figured in order for Yusuke and Kuwabara's bond of friendship to become stronger, you should have Yusuke protect him. You remembered that Yusuke possessed a knocked out girl and kicks some guys' asses, which were going to attack Kuwabara on the way to school. You get dressed really fast, after taking a five minute shower which is even fast for you, and leave, with out Kuwabara knowing it.
You stood at the door way of the school and were tapping your foot. You were starting to worry. Kuwabara had ten minutes before his test was to start and he wasn't there yet!
'I hope I didn't interfere too much! What if Yusuke isn't following Kuwabara, but he followed me?' you thought.
Your eyes widened at the thought. You started to worry. Then you saw Kuwabara walking onto the school grounds, with his head deep in his science book. You let out a sigh of relief.
'Yusuke must have helped him.' you thought.
You sensed Yusuke at this moment, causing you to mentally hit your self for forgetting that you could sense Yusuke and that if he did follow you, you would have sensed him.
"Hey Kuwabara! You got ten minutes until the test! You better get to class!" you yelled.
He looked up from his book and ran to the doorway, where you were.
"Thanks (Your__name)!" he said as he ran past you into the school.
You could only smile.
'Good luck.' you thought.
'Good luck.' you thought.
*&~~~Scene Change ~~~~&*
When the final bell rang you ran out of your class room and searched for Kuwabara. You had to find him and congratulate him for passing the test. Of course you didn't know the score, but you just knew that he passed with flying colors! As you turned a corner you saw Kuwabara and that teacher talking. You stopped and narrowed your eyes. You see Kuwabara looking at a piece of paper in his hands. Kuwabara looked pissed. You ran to him.
"Kuwabara, what's wrong?"
With out looking at you, Kuwabara handed you the paper. It was his test. You looked at the grade and almost fainted. It was a 48!
"What the....How can this be? You studied for the past week for this test!" you shouted.
You thought for sure the teacher couldn't mess with his grade.
"It seems that Kuwabara is just too stupid to learn anything. Too bad for Okubo's job." the teacher said as he turned and started walking away, laughing.
You just couldn't believe it. You looked over his answers and discovered that some of his answers were changed! You could tell because you could still see some of the correct answer in some of spots, where someone erased them from!
"Kuwabara, I think he changed your answers!" you said, dumbfounded.
You were sure you had prevented the teacher from cheating Kuwabara, but obviously he was too shallow for you to even comprehend. Kuwabara grabbed the paper from you and saw it too. He growled and crumbled up the paper. He ran towards the teacher and pulled his hand back. You gasped. You knew that was going to happen, but you still couldn't help the gasp.
You then felt something fly right past you. It took you several minutes to remember that Yusuke had helped Kuwabara with this, by using his emotions to reach Kuwabara. You just stood there and watched as Kuwabara slowly let the teacher go and with his head lowered, walked away. The teacher laughed after him. You sadly watched Kuwabara walk past you. You out stretched your hand to touch his shoulder but Kuwabara turned from you and flinched. You felt so sad. So sad, that you forgot that the principle had watched the whole thing. You were also very angry. When Kuwabara disappeared around the corner you just stared at it for a while.
"What a baka." said the teacher.
You turned to look at the teacher.
'Since Kuwabara can't hit that guy, it sure doesn't mean I can't!' you thought.
You walked up to the teacher and stood in front of him. You raised your right hand and gave him a hard slap across his face.
"How dare you?! You're supposed to be a teacher and help your students achieve, but instead you try and make them fail! I know you changed his grade and what goes around comes around!" you said and spat at him.
You turned around fast and ran after Kuwabara, hoping you could comfort him in some way.
When you had caught up to him, his head was down and he looked miserable. You really wanted to help him, but there was nothing you could do.
"I'm so sorry Kuwabara. I wish I could have done something.....anything to keep that jerk off your back! At least I gave him a piece of my mind!" you said, clenching your fists.
Kuwabara didn't hear you though. He was too deep in thought. Just then you heard Kuwabara's friends calling him.
"Kuwabara! Everyone passed the test!" you and Kuwabara looked at Komada, with shock in your eyes.
You remembered that principle was there when the two teachers developed that plan and had mentally kicked your self for forgetting that.
"Really?!" said Kuwabara.
"Yeah!"
"Thanks you guys you are the greatest. I didn't know what I would do if I lost my job." said Okubo, who was wiping the tears from his eyes.
"What are friends for?" said Kuwabara.
You all started to walk off when you and Kuwabara felt Yusuke. Kuwabara looked up into the sky, as you smiled looking upwards as well.
"Thanks" Kuwabara said towards the sky.
"Hey Kuwabara, you talking to a ghost?" asked Kirishima.
"Nope...just listening to the wind." said Kuwabara and you all walked towards his house.
"What are friends for?" said Kuwabara.
