Chapter: 2

"So you are here to help," the lady at the front desk asked the group?

"Yes, ma-am, I am suppose to be the substitute for a teacher, my name is Shuich (AN: Pleaz tell me how you spell his human name!) and this is Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei. The older ones are here for community servos and he is with me," said Kurama.

"How old is he," she asked pointing to Hiei?

"Ten," said Kurama. Hiei gave him a glare, but other than that he stayed the same.

"Are you his father," she asked?

"No; he is one of my friends' sons and he asked me to watch him today," explained Kurama.

"I guess you will want him in the same class room as yours and they can also be put in the same room if you don't mind," she said as she eyed Yusuke and Kuwabara.

"If you can arrange that," said Kurama.

"Okay your room is number 123, and the kids are already in the room, we have someone watching them right now. Do you know what to do," she asked?

"Yes, and thank you now we better be going," said Kurama as he pushed the others through some doors into a hall.

Once in the hall they all relaxed and looked for the room.

***Hiei P.O.V.***

'I hate this T-shirt,' I thought as I walked along behind Kurama pulling it from one side to the other trying to get it not to sag over one of my shoulders. I had on an over sized, white T-shirt with a little boat on the front, it was the smallest one Yusuke, Kurama, and Kuwabara could find out of their old stuff that wasn't moth-eaten, or torn to shreds, I also had on some blue-jeans that where rolled up at the bottom. Yusuke and Kuwabara had on their normal clothes, and Kurama was wearing a nice shirt, and khaki pants.

***Normal P.O.V.***

"Here we are," said Kurama. He opened the door to revel a room full of kids running every which way, and yelling at the top of their lungs.

"This is going to be a long day," said Yusuke.

"Look the substitute," yelled a one of the kids. They all stopped for a second and looked at Kurama, then they seemed to notice the new kids and they all came running over to them.

"Who are you?"

"Are you our new teacher?"

"Your kinda cute."

That is how it went till finally Kurama got them to get quiet.

"Everyone I'm Shuichi (AN: Is that right?)," and this is Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei. They will be helping me today. Now is this all of you," asked Kurama?

"No, the big kids are over there getting the snacks ready," said a little girl.

"Well can one of you go get them," asked Kurama?

"I will," rang out from every child's mouth all at one time.

"Um, how about Hiei goes and gets them, now where is the kitchen," asked Kurama?

"Over there," said a girl pointing in the direction of a door.

"Hiei go get them," said Kurama seeing that Hiei didn't plan on moving.

***Hiei P.O.V.***

I glared at Kurama, but did as he said. I walked over to the door and opened it. The first thing I saw was a girl about 16, she had long red hair, she had her back to me so I couldn't see her eyes. Then as I looked around my eyes meet the same blue eyes that belonged to the bitch of a girl I had meet earlier today. 'What the heck is she doing here,' I thought to myself.

The next thing I new was that the pitcher that she had, had in her hand was now flying right at me. I duck just in time to miss it.

"Kitta," yelled the red-hared girl!

I didn't stick around though, I started to run and I knew that the bitch was close on my heels.

***Normal P.O.V.***

A pitcher goes flying through the air then Hiei came running out with Kitta, the girl they had meet earlier, on his heels, and not far behind them came the same two boys and a girl that they had never seen.

"Looks like he made Kitta mad," said a kid as if it was normal.

"Kitta get your butt back here, you're in a preschool! GET BACK HERE," yelled the girl with red hair.

"Re-a you go that away and I'll go this way," said Yop.

With this new plan they cornered Kitta and Hiei, but that didn't help Hiei. She started to through punches, slaps and kicks at him, and the others didn't dare go near enough to brake up the fight.

"EVERYONE STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP," yelled Kurama at the top of his voice. Everyone did as he said even the ones that weren't doing anything.

"I want everyone to go eat breakfast, and you two stay right where you are," said Kurama.

"Wow didn't know you could be that strike," said Yusuke to Kurama.

"That includes you two," said Kurama to Yusuke and Kuwabara who where the only ones left around him.

He walked over to where Hiei and Kitta where. Hiei in his child like clothes looked like he could easily be Kitta's little brother. 'They fight like siblings,' thought Kurama.

"What do you think you are doing? Throwing pitchers across rooms, running in school, and fighting in school. So what do you have to say for yourself," asked Kurama treating them like little kids?

"Hn"

"His fault"

"How about we say we are sorry, and we will help each other pick up the pieces of the pitcher," said Kurama.

"Hn"

"I'm not working with him," said Kitta.

"Okay I will put it in terms both of you can understand. Pick up the pieces of the pitcher, or be forced to be handcuffed to each other for the rest of the day, and I want care even if you have to go to the bath room," said Kurama. This seemed to catch their attention and they hurriedly started to pick up the pieces.

With that said Kurama walked back over to where the others where eating their breakfast.

"What did you say," asked Yusuke who was eating a cookie and looking at Hiei and Kitta picking up the pieces.

"Nothing much, but it seemed to work," said Kurama with an evil grin.

"So are you the new teacher," asked the redhead with bright green eyes as she came up to Kurama.

"Yes, my name is Shuichi, but you can call me Kurama," he answered back.

"I'm Re-a, you will have to excuse my sister, Kitta, I don't know why she did that," said Re-a trying to take up for Kitta.

"The shrimp got what was coming," said Kuwabara.

"The shrimp? Who are you," she asked?

"I'm Kuzama Kuwabara, and this is Yusuke," said Kuwabara introducing Yusuke who was busy fighting with the little kids over the last cookie.

"The shrimp is his name for Hiei," said Kurama pointing to Hiei.

"Why did he say he had it coming," she asked?

"He pissed her off earlier," said Kuwabara.

At this Re-a raised her eyebrow and looked at her sister.

"Sensie," asked a little girl.

"Yes," asked Kurama in a nice voice?

"I need to go paddy," said the girl. A weird expression came across his face and he looked at Re-a with a 'help' look.

"Here I will take you," said Re-a smiling at Kurama.

As soon as she had left Rets and Yop came over.

"So what are you guys doing here," asked Rets?

"Keonma sent us," said Kuwabara before he thought about what he was saying.

"You know Keonma," asked Yop a little surprised?

"Who's Keonma," asked Rets?

"We are the spirit detectives," said Kuwabara.

"Are you the team that won the dark tournament I've heard about," asked Rets.

"So he must be the Yusuke Urimeshi, the team leader, the one who defeated Turguro," said Yop as he looked at Yusuke who was running around with a group of kids casing after him, and in his hand was a cookie.

"Yah that's the great Urimeshi," said Kuwabara sarcastically.

At this point Hiei and Kitta came walking up glaring at each other.

"Did you pick up all the pieces," asked Kurama?

They didn't answer.

"Did you pick up all the pieces," asked Kurama again.

"Hn"

"No," said Kitta just able to be heard.

"Well go pick the rest up," said Kurama.

"Its his piece," said Kitta.

"It was on your side," said Hiei.

"Mine had more," said Kitta.

"How do you know," asked Hiei?

"ITS STILL YOUR PIECE," yelled Kitta.

"IT WAS ON YOUR SIDE," yelled Hiei.

"STOP," yelled Kurama.

"Now if you two can't decided who is to pick the piece up I will handcuff you together," said Kurama in a serious voice.

They both looked at Kurama then at the other and glared.

"Now," said Kurama.

They still didn't move. Kuwabara started to snicker in the background. Then out of know where Kurama pulls out a pair of handcuffs.

"I suggest you do as you are told," said Kurama. At this they walked back over to the piece of glass. They both went to reach for it and hit heads.

"Ow, what did you do that for," asked Kitta?

"I was picking up the glass when you hit my head," said Hiei.

"I thought you didn't want to pick it up," said Kitta.

"I don't, you pick it up," said Hiei.

"You!"

"Hn"

"WHY YOU," she was interrupted by Kurama.

"Stick your hands out," said Kurama.

"WHAT," they both yelled and quickly put their hands behind their backs.

"Now," said Kurama in a voice that sent shivers down both of their backs. Slowly they put out their hands and Kurama put the handcuffs on them.

"Now pick up the glass," said Kurama. Hiei bent down pulling Kitta with him and picked up the piece of glass. Kitta stood back up jerking Hiei up. Then they jerked and pulled each other till they got to the garbage can and put the piece of glass in it. Then they made their way back over to where everyone was in the same fashion.

Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Yop where laughing their heads of at the sight. While Re-a and Rets where making bets on who killed who first.

"So what do we do next," asked Kurama?

"They normal do some kind of project," said Re-a.

"Well, lets paint then," said Kurama not able to think of any other project type thing to do.

"Yaaaaaaaaaay," yelled the kids as they ran and got the paints, paper, and other stuff.

"Can you help me paint a cat," asked a little kid to Kitta and Hiei.

"Hn"

"Sure," said Kitta while glaring at Hiei.

She started to help the kid and was almost done with the cat when Hiei, who was ideally standing by sense he couldn't get away, accidentally knocked a battle of black paint off and it landed all over Kitta, the girl, and himself.

"HIEI, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THAT," yelled Kitta at Hiei who was trying to apologize for it.

Kitta grabbed a bottle of bright neon pink paint and pored it on Hiei.

"PAINT FIGHT," yelled the kids and before anyone could stop it paint was flying through the air, and the two going at it the most were Hiei and Kitta.

"STOOOOOOOOOOP," yelled Kurama for the third time that day. The paint immediately stopped and all the paint covered faces looked at Kurama.

"Everyone go clean up, except for Hiei and Kitta," said Kurama. Hiei and Kitta gulped at what their punishment would be this time.

"I want you two to clean everything up," said Kurama and then as an after thought he said, "And no fighting!"

With that he left out the door that lead to the bathrooms.

They started cleaning and had gotten half of it done when there was a knock on the back door or fire exit door. Then a demon with black hair and green eyes came through the door. He was a little surprised when he saw only two kids covered in paint looking at him. He shrugged and decided they would do for today's lunch.

"Who are you," asked Hiei?

"My name is of know importance to you," said the demon with an evil laugh.

"What do you want," asked Kitta in a bored tone.

"I want your soul," said the demon, as he laughed some more.

"Come and get it then," said Hiei, but that's when he remembered that they where handcuffed together. Apparently she had forgotten all about it, and was getting ready to attack the demon, when Hiei doing the only thing he could think of to do, sense he didn't want the demon to know that they where hand-cuffed together, he pulled her into him.

"What are you doing," asked Kitta in a dead cold voice.

"Have you forgotten that we are hand-cuffed together," he asked keeping his voice low. Her face lighted up in realization, then went back to normal as she said, " So what are we going to do?"

"Kill it," he said.

"I can do that," she said and before Hiei could stop her, she had raised one of her hands and snapped her fingers. Immediately the demon caught on fire and burned to the ground in a matter of seconds.

"How was that," asked Kitta looking back at him, her face only a few inches from his. She started to blush as she realized how close they where. They quickly separated when they felt the ki of the others coming.

"We came as quickly as we could when we felt the demon," said Kurama as they came into the room only to see two blushing demons.

"What happened," asked Re-a in one of those knowing tones a mother has.

"A demon came and we killed it that's all," said Kitta as both her and Hiei got their blushing under control.

"Riiiiiiiiight, well if you want tell me I will just bug you when you get home," said Re-a.

"I want to know," complained Rets.

"Me too," said Yop.

"Did you kiss," asked Yusuke, who got a slap on his face and a punch in his gut all in one time as both fire demons attacked him, both of their eyes where blazing and they looked ready to kill Yusuke.

"I didn't mean it," said Yusuke covering his face like a kid.

"Hiei, Kitta no fighting in school," said Kurama, which earned him a glare from them.

The kids started to come back at this point so they had to stop talking.

"I think it is around lunch so lets eat then we can all take a nap," said Kurama.

"Awww," whined the kids at the mention of a nap.

"Re-a, Yop will you two get the snacks," asked Kurama?

"Sure," they both answered.

"Now everyone else get out your mats," said Kurama.

"Do we have too," asked Yusuke?

"Yes," said Kurama.

"But,"

"No buts get out a mat, that includes you two," said Kurama looking at Hiei and Kitta.

"WHAT," they both asked?

"If you have forgotten we are handcuffed together," said Kitta.

"Not my problem," said Kurama as he turned away living two stunned demons. They looked at each other and the same thing went through both of their head.

"NO," they both said and tried to get as far away from each other as possible with the handcuffs.

"Foods ready," came Re-a's voice from the kitchen, and Hiei and Kitta taking the chance to delay naptime went and got something to eat. It seemed all the kids eat nice and slowly, but once they where done Kurama marched them out of the kitchen and into the main room to go to sleep.

When they where the last ones left Kurama went over to them and said, "Are you planning on staying here all day?"

"If it will keep us from nap time," said Kitta.

Kurama pointed out the door and marched them out. They went over to where the mats where and each got one then they went over to where the others were, but off to the side some and set up theirs. Getting into the mats and settling down was another thing, but after ten minutes of fighting, Kurama saying shush, and glaring, they finally got settled.

They where both laying on their back looking at the selling, the hands that had the hand-cuffs on them were in between them, and a blanket was on each of them. Amazingly Kitta fell asleep after about ten minutes.

***Hiei P.O.V.***

'Why am I doing this,' Hiei asked himself as he tried to sleep. He was brought out of his thoughts when Kitta's fingers laced themselves with his. 'What is she doing,' thought Hiei?

He looked over at her and saw that she had a smile on her face and that she looked peaceful. He sighed and didn't pull his hand out of her grip since first it might have been impossible, second he didn't want to wake her and start a fight, and third he just liked the feeling of her hand on his. 'What did I just think that?,' thought Hiei, but even as he said this in his head he knew he did.

***Normal P.O.V.***

After the nap the parents of the kids started to come and get the kids. Some complemented Kurama on a good job, and asked him how he keep them under control, and Kurama would answer them truthful, "They where a handful."

Finally when all the kids where gone the lady that had been at the front desk came and tried to give Kurama a check for taking care of the kids, but Kurama refused. Then they all left the place.

"Ring, Ring"

"What is that," asked Rets jumping.

Yusuke pulled out the communicator to see Botan on the screen.

"Yusuke you and the rest of the group need to come to Spirit World now, and Kurama already told us that you got the demon," said Botan. A portal appeared and with out a word they all walked through.

"Where are we," asked Kitta?

"Spirit World," said Yusuke.

"Cool," said Rets.

They walked through two doors that looked the same and went into a fairly small office.

"WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE," yelled Keonma as he saw the other people?

"There our new friends, and don't worry they're demons," said Yusuke.

"Why is Hiei and her hand-cuffed together, and why do both of them have paint all over," asked Botan?

Hiei and Kitta immediately looked at Kurama who put on an innocent face on.

"Kurama, where's the key," asked Kitta in a dangerous voice.

"Here," said Kurama looking through his pockets to find the key. He gave it to Hiei who opened the lock and took it of him-self and then Kitta. Botan and Keonma looked on in confusion as all of this was going on.

"So what's our new job," asked Yusuke?

"You are to go get an accent object that has been stolen. It allows people to go where ever they want as long as they know how to work it," said Keonma.

"So how do you work it," asked Yusuke?

"If I new I would tell you," said Keonma.

"Doesn't sound hard, lets go," said Kuwabara.

"We don't even know what it looks like," said Kitta.

"It is a small puzzle made of wood and you have to make it form the correct shape for it to work," said Keonma.

"Now can we go," asked Kuwabara?

"No, first it will take a couple of days for me to find out were the puzzle is and if anyone has found it, so till then you will have to wait," said Keonma.

"So why did Botan say it was urgent," asked Yusuke eyeing Botan suspiciously.

"Well you wouldn't have come so quick if I hadn't said it was urgent," said Botan.

The others sweat dropped.

"Lets go," said Hiei wanting to get away.

With that they all left, and went back to their house.

Re-a: Yah.

Kitta: I'm like seriously tired, so good night. (It is 9:30) And I have to wake up at 6:00 A.M. *yawn* R&R!!!!
