Kisses and licks on his neck drew Yusuke from sleep. With a contented groan, he tipped his head back before opening his eyes. Warm lips left his neck as green eyes came into view. “Morning, love.”
“You can wake me up like that any time,” Yusuke purred, grinning.
“I was hoping to do a little more, if you want.”
“More?” Yusuke asked, becoming more aware or his surroundings. “Where's Hiei?”
“He's making breakfast and I'm waking you up.” Kurama ran his hands along the detective's body, pushing the blankets down. “Unless you want me to stop, that is.” The kitsune saw the concern in the brown eyes below him. Discerning what thoughts were behind the look, he continued, “We have slightly different needs for physical contact, Hiei and I. Being a kitsune, I have a fairly high need. Hiei is fine with us, you and me, having sex without him. That was one of the things we talked about before we asked you to join us.”
“You put a lot of thought into it, didn't you?” Yusuke asked, awed.
“Yes, love, we did because we wanted this to work out. We wanted our relationship to stay strong and we wanted your relationship with us to be strong, as well.” Kurama's hand rested against the detective's cheek, waiting.
“Please, then, continued, love,” Yusuke murmured, his eyes closing.
Not needing further invitation, Kurama brought his lips to the tantei's, his hand wandering downwards along the boy's neck and shoulders. Shifting, he moved to cover Yusuke's body with his own. He pulled back with a grin when his hip came in contact with the dark haired boy's already hard shaft. Bringing hand down, he caressed the warm flesh. “We're going to have to do something about this,” he murmured, a glint in his eyes.
“Anything you want, `rama,” Yusuke moaned, arching into the touch.
“I was hoping you'd say that,” Kurama answered, bringing his lips to Yusuke's exposed neck as he reached for the lube on the bedside table with his free hand. Sitting back onto his heels, “We don't have a lot of time, love. Are you okay with that, or do you want to wait?”
Yusuke groaned, almost growling “I want you, damn it!”
Kurama smiled, squeezing some of the lube onto his fingers, “As you wish.” He slid his hands behind the tantei's knees, lifting and spreading them before teasing the boy's hole. Watching his face carefully, the kitsune slid two fingers into the now panting detective. Yusuke moaned in pleasure and Kurama bent to take his throbbing shaft into his mouth.
Yusuke's hands gripped the red hair, “Oh, gods, Kurama!”
The kitsune continued teasing the detective's member as his fingers worked to loosen the boy for his entry. Satisfied with his preparation, the red head lifted his head and shifted so his shaft was lined up with the dark opening. A smooth thrust seated the kitsune's shaft deeply within the tantei. Kurama kissed Yusuke deeply, waiting for his body to adjust before moving within him. The kitsune pulled back, drawing the detective's knees up to rest on his shoulders, allowing him to thrust deeper into the detective. Yusuke's panting moans and groans encouraged him as he wrapped his hand around the boy's shaft, pumping him in time with his shaft's movement in the detective's body. It wasn't long before the tantei's body began to tense, his shaft throbbing in the kitsune's hand as his essence escaped onto his belly. Kurama felt the tightening around his own member, drawing out his orgasm with a deep groan, “Yusuke!” His body relaxed, the detective's legs keeping him from falling forward. Pulling out slowly from the tantei's body and moving to lie next to him, he nuzzled the boy's neck contentedly, “What a nice way to wake up, don't you think?”
Yusuke turned and kissed the fox's forehead, “Absolutely wonderful.”
“Now that you're awake,” Hiei said, entering the room with a damp wash cloth, “breakfast is ready.” With a gentle touch, he washed Yusuke's stomach of his essence before running the cloth between the boy's legs. Finally, he flipped the cloth in his hand and washed Kurama's member. Finishing, he tossed the soiled cloth into the hamper, “Come, eat, before it gets cold.” With a smile over his shoulder at the two, he left the room.
Kurama pushed himself upright and slid off the bed, watching as Yusuke sat up, wincing slightly. “How do you feel, love?” he asked, concerned, offering his hand to help the detective stand.
“Not as sore as with Hiei,” Yusuke answered, taking the kitsune's hand and moving to hug him.
“You'll hurt less each time until it doesn't hurt at all afterwards,” Kurama offered, rubbing the tantei's back. After a few minutes, he pushed the boy away, “We shouldn't keep Hiei waiting. If we stay up here too long, he'll make us eat cold food.”
“Gods forbid,” Yusuke laughed, pulling on his jeans. Kurama dressed as well, pulling the detective's now clean t-shirt from a drawer and handing it to him. “When did you have time to wash it, `rama?”
“Yesterday, when you were pacing the living room. I thought you'd prefer to go home in that rather than one of my shirts.”
The dark haired boy pulled the shirt over his head, saying when his head reappeared, “You are going to spoil me, fox-boy. Don't stop.” He stepped over to the kitsune and kissed him, “I love you.” With a smile, he added, “I like saying that, I like feeling it.”
Kurama cupped the boy's cheek, “Good. I like hearing it, and I want you to keep feeling it, love.” After a brief kiss, he wrapped his arm around the detective's waist. “Let's go eat, love.”

After breakfast dishes were cleaned, Yusuke headed home after agreeing to return that afternoon to talk with Kurama's mother. As he walked, he tried to mentally sort out how to tell his mother he not only not going out with Keiko, but in a relationship with two guys. The problem he faced was that his mother was widely unpredictable. How she would react depended on a lot of factors: How drunk she was, if she'd had a good night, if she remembered he'd told her where he was going and had left a number. He sighed. There was almost no point trying to plan how to tell her. It would all depend on how she greeted him.
“Yusuke!” Urameshi Atsuko yelled when her son entered the door, “Where have you been? I've been so worried!” She wrapped her son in a stifling hug.
`Only tipsy, that's good,' he thought as he tried to push away from her enough to breathe. “I told you I was going to Kurama's, mom.”
“But that was two nights ago, Yusuke. Where have you been really?” She held him by his shoulders, looking at him suspiciously. “If you wanted to spend time with Keiko…”
”I was at Kurama's house, mom. I saw Keiko briefly yesterday for dinner, but that's it.”
”I was at Kurama's house, mom. I saw Keiko briefly yesterday for dinner, but that's it.”
Atsuko frowned, things beginning to sink into her alcohol muddled senses, “You spent the whole weekend at Kurama's?”
“Yes, mom, he invited me over.”
Narrowing her eyes, Atsuko continued to look at her son, trying to understand something just out of her reach, “Why?”
This was the hard part, “He invited me over to play a game with him and Hiei.” He watched her face carefully as he continued, “We found out that we really liked each other and, well,” he paused, licking his lips, “we decided to go out.”
Dumbstruck, “You decided to go out….with who?”
“Kurama and Hiei.”
“Both of them?” Atsuko grabbed her son's chin, trying to look deeper into his eyes, to see if he was playing some kind of joke on her.
“Yes, mom, both of them,” he replied as well as he could around her grip.
“Not Keiko?”
“No, not Keiko.”
“Did you tell her?”
“Yes, at dinner last night.”
“So, I am the last to know?” her eyes glittered dangerously.
“No, we still have to tell Kurama's mother.” Yusuke's chin was starting to really hurt in her grasp.
“Wasn't she home this weekend?” her voice full of venom.
Yusuke pulled out of his mother's grasp, “No, she'd gone to visit relatives.”
In a sudden mood shift, she giggled, “So, my boy's a man…or is a woman?” She laughed harder at Yusuke's embarrassed, confused expression. “Well, which is it, Yusuke?”
“I don't see how that matters.”
Atsuko unsteadily put an arm around his shoulder, “So, you got screwed, did you?” Another laugh, “Did you enjoy it? Did it feel good, hmmm?”
`Okay, more than tipsy,' he thought as he tried to push away from her, “Not that I think it's really your business,” he spat, “but, yes, I `got screwed' and I `screwed.' Happy?”
Atsuko laughed as if were the most hysterical thing she'd ever heard, clinging to Yusuke, “My boy's a man and a woman! We'll have to throw him a party! But what will he wear?” Still giggling and mumbling incoherently, she slid to her knees, weaving.
`Way past tipsy,' Yusuke thought, picking her up and taking her to her room. As he laid her on the bed, she looked at him seriously, “Are you happy, Yusuke?”
Nodding, he replied firmly, “Yes, I'm happy.”
Atsuko patted his cheek, almost slapping him, “Good, that's what matters, I suppose.”
Shaking his head, Yusuke left the room, closing the door behind him. He looked around the living room and began cleaning up the mess of empty bottles and other debris. It looked like his mother had thrown a party while he was gone from the amount of trash littered around the room and into the kitchen. When he'd finished cleaning, he was too antsy to stay in the apartment, so he left for a walk, unsure where his feet would take him.
He wasn't really surprised when he began climbing the stairs to Genkai's temple. He did want to thank the woman for encouraging Hiei and Kurama to seek him out. When he arrived, Genkai was sweeping the porch of the temple. “Oy, granny,” he called as he approached.
“It's about time you got around here, Yusuke,” she returned, grouchy.
“And why is that?”
“Why do you think, numbskull?”
Yusuke pretended to think, enjoying the game with his sensei. “Oh, yeah…training tomorrow, right?”
“Yes, but your too early for that. You have something else to say?” Genkai stood akimbo, waiting for his response.
The tantei grinned, “Yeah, I do. Thanks for messing in my personal life, granny.” His voice was full of mock contempt.
“You're welcome,” she answered in the same vein. “Now, go away or I'll put you to work.”
He moved away quickly, “See ya tomorrow, granny!”
At the base of the stairs, he checked the time. It was late enough to return to Kurama's house for dinner and the last person they needed to tell. Nervously, he ran his hands down his shirt, wondering if he should have changed while he was home. `Too late for that now,' he groused, running his fingers through his hair. He knew that the kitsune held his mother in very high regard and he wanted to make a good impression on her. He thought about stopping to get her a gift, but he didn't know her well enough to know what she'd like.
He reached the end of the walk and ran his clammy hands down his pants before walking up and knocking on the door. Kurama opened the door, smiling at him, “Come on in, Yusuke.” As he entered, the red head wrapped him in a quick hug, whispering, “Don't worry, this will be easy. Just remember to call me `Shuichi,' okay?”
“Okay,” the dark haired boy replied, bemused.
“Hiei doesn't address me by name when my mother's around, so she doesn't know about my other name,” he explained quickly as Yusuke removed his shoes.
Yusuke smiled, thinking about the meanings of his friend's names. He could understand why a mother who'd named her son “excellent first” would be upset if someone called him “warehouse stallion.” It almost sounded like some cheesy porn star name. Grinning, he said, “Okay, I'll try to remember, Shuichi.”
“Remember what?” a light feminine voice asked from further in the house.
Yusuke bowed politely, “To remember my manners, Minamino-san.” He blushed, “Sometimes, I forget them, you see, and I don't want to embarrass Shuichi, so I will try to remember them.”
Shiori eyed the boy, accepting but not quite fully believing his explanation. They had joined Hiei in the living room, Yusuke and Kurama joining Hiei on the couch. Shiori took a chair that stood at the far end of the couch. “Shuichi tells me that he invited you over this weekend?” she asked.
Yusuke was a little surprised at the directness of the question, but answered honestly, “Yes, ma'am, he did.” Unsure how much she knew, he left his comment at that.
“And you were here the entire weekend?”
Shock began creeping into the detective's mind, “Yes, ma'am.”
“Shuichi told me he was interested in someone as well as Hiei. They have been together for a couple of years, I'm sure you know.” Yusuke only nodded, unsure where the woman was taking this statement. “I didn't like it at first, but they seem to truly care for each other. I don't understand why they want someone else to join them.” She pinned the detective with a harsh glare.
“I-I-I don't understand it either, Minamino-san,” Yusuke stammered, “but they both care for me and I care for them very much.”
Shiori's expression softened, “Good, I'm glad you said that.” She smiled at the confused boy, “Would you like to join us for dinner?”
“Th-thank you,” the tantei stuttered. “If I may…why?”
Shiori stood from the couch, laying a hand on Kurama's shoulder, “My son is what I have left. I want him to be happy. If he thinks being with you will make him happy, I want to make sure you won't hurt him. He was considerate to tell me about his interest a while ago, so I had time to get used to the idea. It took a while to get used to Hiei and the idea of Shuichi being with him.” She sighed, “I don't understand his choices, but as long as he is happy and safe, I'm happy.” She smiled as she left the room for the kitchen.
“How long have you been planning this?” Yusuke asked after she'd gone.
“A while,” Kurama answered vaguely. The kitsune leaned his head against the tantei's shoulder. “I didn't want to spring anything on her and when she first met Hiei, we had a rough time for a while. I wanted to avoid that, so I talked to her.”
Yusuke let his hand come to rest on the red head's leg, “It amazes me how much thought you put into asking me over, Shuichi. I-I kinda don't really feel worth so much thought.” Yusuke dropped his head, chewing on his lower lip.
Kurama turned to face the detective, using his hand to make the brown eyed boy look at him, “Yusuke, I told you, we want this to work out. We want our relationship to stay strong and grow. That takes work and thought.” The red head sighed at the continued look of doubt on the boy's face, “Yusuke,” he said, letting his hand wander from under the tantei's chin to behind his head, “we've wanted to ask you out for several months, now. At first, I thought it was just me. Instead of keeping it to myself, I talked with Hiei about it. I was surprised when he admitted to being interested in you too. We talked a lot about whether our relationship was in a place where we could stay together and ask you to join us or if we should break up and pursue you separately. We didn't want to loose each other, either, so we decided to ask you together. This relationship of ours is going to be a lot of work to keep going because there are three of us, but we think we can do it.”
Yusuke stared at the kitsune, wide eyed. Not knowing what else to say, he fell back on the manners that had once been drilled into him. Standing, he bowed, “I am deeply honored, Shuichi, Hiei.”
Kurama stood and hugged the tantei, Hiei joining him to hug both of them. Shiori smiled as she saw the three standing together. “Dinner is ready,” she announced quietly
