Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Angered Fox Within Me Part One: Blissful Ignorance ❯ Alana's Origin ( Chapter 7 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

A/N- Yeah, so I've gotten this up as well!

Disclaimer- we've been over this, now go to one of the first few chapters if you really want to know, this is the last time I'll say it too. After this I'll just skip this little blurb that tells you to look back.

Warning- I don't think there's anything to really warn about...

Summary for Story- Kurama makes a decision that affects everyone's memories. He doesn't know Hiei (who goes to ningen school) and meets a transfer from Ireland. (I don't know why I like them meeting foreign girls but I do) They become friends and soon more but time after time they are pulled apart. Cliffhanger at end to be answered in part two. I hope people still like this thing. Let me know, k?

Summary for Chapter- Kurama and Alana are back together, but somehow she knows he's not completely human. He never told her that his name was Kurama and she always called him Shuiichi, up until the night they rejoined as a couple. When he confronts her, what will she tell him?

"Alana, we need to talk." He said, his eyes narrowing, knowing he would hate what he'd have to do if she were an enemy.

"About what Shuiichi?" She tilted her head. 'I hope he didn't realize my mistake the other night. I never meant to let him know, I wanted him to tell me.'

"How did you know my name was also Kurama?"

Alana's smile slid from her face, as she thought how to explain herself.

So Kurama confronts her and awaits her reply. Is Alana an enemy, or is there some other reason she knew of his second nature?

Chapter Seven

Alana's Origin

Kurama woke in the morning to find Alana was no longer in his embrace. He listened hard and heard the water running in the bathroom across the hall. He sighed in content before his mind processed the information he'd learned the night before. Somehow, some way, she knew he was a demon. He didn't know if Rema's spell hadn't worked the right way or if Alana knew after it was cast. Either way, it didn't explain how Alana knew at all...

He shook his head, not wanting to think about this now. He couldn't confront her while she was mourning, that would be the worst timing in the world. Kurama pulled himself from the bed and put on his boxers. Quickly he gathered his clothes and rushed into his room, knowing any moment his mother would return from the night shift. It wouldn't look good if he were caught in Alana's room with nothing but his underwear on.

Soon, he heard the water shut off. After he heard her bedroom door shut Kurama made his way out of his room and into the bathroom. He took a hurried shower and dressed in a pair of jeans as well as a crisp white wife beater tank. He dried his hair with a towel and brushed it out before making his way downstairs for breakfast. It was Sunday and they were going to the movies later. Kurama walked down the stairs and made some waffles for himself and Alana, making sure there were extra for Shiori.

He walked into the dining room to eat and saw Alana as she descended the staircase. Her face was vibrant and alive once more and her clothes matched her mood. She wore a yellow sundress with a white collar. Her hair was slightly wavy and her earrings dangled at her jaw. The smile on her face warmed him inside. She looked eagerly at the breakfast he'd prepared. "This looks wonderful Shuiichi!"

"Thanks," Kurama said as she sat down, noting that she'd returned to calling him by his human name. They ate in silence for a while before she broke it.

"We should talk about what last night means Shu-chan." Alana said, giving him a look of love, lust, and hope.

Kurama smiled, hoping she didn't notice how on edge he was. "I meant what I said Alana. I love you and if you'll have me, I'll try this relationship again."

"Good," she replied. "Because I love you too, and I'd much rather be your girlfriend than just a friend."

They finished breakfast and headed outside. The movie didn't start until later so he had time to talk to her about what she'd called him the night before. They were in the park, sitting on a bench when he decided the time was right to ask.

"I hoped you hadn't noticed, but it was my fault, I was scared last night."

He nodded. "Yes, but I need to know how it is possible that you know who I am."

She bit her lower lip in thought. "Remember when I told you I was adopted?" He nodded in affirmation. "Well I never explained about my birth parents. You see Shuiichi...Kurama, I am a half demon."

Kurama's jaw lowered. "What?"

Alana nodded. "My father was a demon and my mother was human. She died of pregnancy complications and he knew the Makai was no place for me to grow up, so he entrusted me to an organization that he found. In Ireland, there is an adoption agency run by another half demon. She runs it for people that were in my father's position. He'd already fathered children to demons of another species and they were looking for him. If they found him, and I was with him, we'd both be killed. So, he left me here in hopes my human heritage would prevail and I could have a happy life. He promised he'd return once he reunited with my siblings. But before he could, a nice human family, my parents, wanted to adopt me."

Kurama stared in awe. "That doesn't explain how you knew about me." 'Though it explains why you never freaked out about my spirit energy expelling while we made love...'

She smiled. "Well, our caretaker, Ms. Dee, was a half demon, I said that. She knew tons of legends and, well Kurama, you're one of them. Ms. Dee told all the children, even me, about your trials and thieveries. She even heard somewhere that you'd taken human form so you could recuperate. We never knew that you had taken the form of Shuiichi Minamino, but when I saw you, I felt your power and I knew. Then, when you first made love to me and expelled your energy, I was certain that you were the legendary thief Youko Kurama in human disguise. I didn't want to tell you that I knew, I wanted you to tell me."

Kurama slid his hand into hers. "So you know and don't care?"

She nodded. "As long as you don't mind I'm a half demon..."

He shook his head and kissed her gently. "I couldn't care less if you were toad of some sort. You're a wonderful person and I'm proud to be yours. But tell me, what species of demon was your father?"

Alana shrugged. "I have no idea. He never told Ms. Dee and I never met him. I only have one letter from him that he had Ms. Dee give me once I knew how to read. All I know is that once he reunites my siblings he will try to make us all a family." She leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "It would be nice to have a family again."

Kurama held her gently and closed his eyes as well. "I'll be your family Alana."

"I'd like that."

"So would I."

"Well I don't like it at all, now get your filthy hands off my sister." Came a male voice out of nowhere

Both Kurama and Alana snapped to attention and looked around, seeing nobody they stood, ready to fight. "You have a brother Alana?"

Alana shrugged. "The letter never said if my siblings were male or female, just that I had some."

Suddenly a form jumped from a tree and landed before them, pulling Alana from Kurama. "Get someone else's sister to fuck with." Alana's eyes met those of her brother's. And those red eyes belonged to none other than Hiei.

A/N- I know it was short, but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to say that. I was planning on Hiei being Alana's brother for a while, but I didn't know when or how to reveal that. I figured since she'd just revealed that she was a half demon I might as well introduce one of her siblings, which will come into more detail next chapter, till then, review and check out my other stuff. I have a collection tribute of Songfics started (only three chapters so far though...) I also have the sequel to my first ever fanfic Enter Ceridwen up. It's called Enter Amara: Hiei's Neurosis. So read those if you want, or read my original stuff at www.fictionpress.com (that's not a link people...) and look up my story Visualized (it has the same author name) I hope you all like whatever you read of mine, and please review it even if you don't!
