A Yu Yu Hakusho Fanfiction by Ai no Kawa
Author's Note
From the darkness will come a light,
The end of the beginning and the beginning of the end.
But it will take the blood of ten to bring it forth,
Only the blood of the River.
This is the Prophecy that goes along with the story. However...I need Original Characters. Here's the deal.
Picture this: There are four clans of humans and their retainers living in Makai: the Kawa clan, demon hunters extraoridinare who dwell in Makai's ancient forests; the Daisho, mystics beyond compare who live in Makai's great deserts; the Haru, who's bond with nature is on par with that of animal apparitions, living near the oceans and rivers of Makai; and the Uremeshi, who guard the ancient prophecy that the Ancients left before they departed the three worlds, living in the great mountains and foothills. Now, Yusuke and his cousin Kyoko must risk everything to make sure the prophecy is fufilled and that the child who is the end and the beginning, Hajime, is born within six years...or everything is lost. To do this, they must gather the ten Bearers and their Guardians...and discover why this fate has fallen on their shoulders.
I need ten Bearers and ten Guardians. Submit a review following these guidelines and I will let you all know who was accepted on September 10th. I will be posting a history kinda thingy for the bloodlines of the four human clans later.
Also, a bit about the Ancients: They are an old race that can change shape, according to their needs. Their true form always has ebony skin and gem-or-metal-toned hair. They are the original creators of the Japanese language and, before they left Reikai, Makai, and Ningenkai 1,000 years ago, they left a few of their number behind, along with a prophecy and some half-Ancient children with demon and human parents.
BEARERS
These profiles will be of the Bearers of the Ten Elements of Akasha, Light, Darkness, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Life, Heart, Mind, and Soul.
NAME: Japanese, please.
AGE: Nothing under age 9
RACE: Human, demon, half-breed, Ancient, etc.
GENDER: Male or female. No its!
HAIR: color, length, and style. Go crazy!
EYES: Go crazy my friends! This is Anime!
BUILD: All other physical descriptions besides clothing and accessories.
CLOTHING: Clothing and accessories and piercings.
PERSONALITY: At least a paragraph please.
LIKES: food, color, music, etc.
DISLIKES: Opposite of likes.
HISTORY: Brief history of their life before the story starts, including how they discover their powers as a Bearer.
PAIRING: Hiei is taken.
ELEMENT: Akasha is taken.
POWERS: What they are capable of, must fit in with their Element and their race. Also, they will not have much control over their powers, as the Guardians are the ones who teach the Bearers how to use them.
GUARDIANS
Guardians are the protectors of the Bearers, created somehow by someone knowing that they would soon be needed.
NAME: same as Bearer's profile.
APPEARENCE: Go crazy. Because a Guardian can be human in form, or something never seen before, I have no specifics.
PERSONALITY: same as Bearer's profile.
LIKES: same as Bearer's profile.
DISLIKES: same as Bearer's profile.
HISTORY: same as Bearer's profile, except tell me who created them in which time period, and how they awakened from the Abyss to encounter Koenma, waiting to take them to their Bearer(not how they meet their Bearer.)
ELEMENT: Akasha is taken.
POWERS: What abilities does the Guardian have?
For the sake of reference(and my own bad memory) here are examples for each in the form of my characters.
BEARER
NAME: Kyoko Uremeshi
AGE: 15
RACE: 1/4 human, 1/4 Ancient, 1/2 Kitsune(fox demon)
GENDER: Female
HAIR: Naturally crimson, but is lightened to a pale red by the sun..
EYES: Silver with blue flecks.
BUILD: Kyoko is 4'7", willowy and Very tan. The only muscle on her is from surfing.
CLOTHING: Kyoko wears a white tank top, ocean blue swim shorts, white sandals, and a white windbreaker jacket over a sea green tankini combo. Around her neck is a silver necklace with a round, black gem hanging from it.
PERSONALITY: Kyoko is a very complex person. At times she can be happy, bright, and cheerful, filled with energy; at others, she seems old and tired, with centuries' old wisdom; and sometimes she's just depressed and prone to breaking down crying. Her temper is long-fused, but when she's truly angered, she's a menace to all around her as her 'Beast,' the side of her spirit that enjoys wanton destrution. This 'Beast' is a vicious, black-hearted creature who calls Kyoko 'the little one' and says that she isn't afraid of using 'their' full power Only someone Kyoko cares about can reach Kyoko's ears once the 'Beast' has taken over and allow her to fight the other spirit.Her favorite food is yakisoba, her favorite colors are ocean blue, turquoise, sea green, white, black, and silver, her favorite music is trance and whatever song she likes, and her favorite past-time is surfing.
DISLIKES: She dislikes red meat, hates the color yellow, dislikes rap music, and hates being alone.
HISTORY: Kyoko was born to a 1/2 human, 1/2 Ancient father named Genji Uremeshi and the Kitsune Yin Do. However, she and her 1/4 Ancient, 3/4 human cousin Yusuke Uremeshi didn't know of their heritage till now. They grew up side by side, Kyoko the semi-quiet conscience of Yusuke, and Yusuke her ever vigilant guardian from bullies and boyfriend-wannabes. One day, Kyoko stumbled across one of her mother's portals to Makai and was saved by a young demon boy...the only clues she has to who he is are the gem around her neck and his red eyes. She refuses to share what happened when she snapped and killed a boy, the only time she ever hurt anyone intentionally.
PAIRING: Hiei
ELEMENT: Akasha, though she doesn't know it yet.
POWERS: Kyoko's powers as the Bearer of Akasha are unknown, seemingly unlimited...although she has inherited her mother's affinity with plants and healing, and her father's strange connection to the moon and sea...
GUARDIAN
NAME: Yusuke Uremeshi
APPEARENCE: If you don't know who Yusuke is, why are you here?
PERSONALITY: We all know Yusuke's personality.
LIKES: -_-;
DISLIKES: -_-;
HISTORY: Yusuke is the only Guardian not created, but born. Other than that, we all know his history.
