In one quick leap she cleared three rooftops with minimal effort, the routine of the hunt was now second nature to her. She always made it a point to go after the city's less than respectful citizens. It really didn't make much difference to her, to put it bluntly, they were all food. Why not give back some of the misery these people always seemed to cause? What was the deaths of a few bottom feeding pieces of trash? Fayth knew that wasn't exactly the truth but she didn't always kill the victims. More often than not, with the less morally corrupt souls, she would let them live just to see if they would change. Many times that had not been the case and she held no qualms about snuffing the life out of those pathetic creatures.
Stooping at the edge of a building, black leather gloved hands positioned at her sides, she inhaled the sent of blood, alcohol and sex. It completely disgusted her, for Fayth knew exactly what was happening. She heard the struggle several blocks back and decided to make an unexpected appearance. If there was nothing she hated more in the world it was the pieces of shit that seemed to think they could impose their will on everyone around them. Fayth fully believed in using her strength to her advantage, but never to prey on the helpless innocents.
One more jump and she hit the ground without so much as a sound. A warm breeze blew past her sending another zephyr of scents towards her noise. Fayth made her way to the struggling couple as she squelched the smirk that tried to imprint itself on her lips. "This is going to be to easy" she thought, "he'll never know what hit him". A few more steps and she was facing the man's back.
The combined rhythm of two heartbeats assaulted her ears as she stopped behind him. The woman looked to her, fear and hope evident in pale blue eyes. She wanted to be rescued, but Fayth could also tell, who ever the woman was, she was afraid for the safety of her would be savior. It was a moot point but only Fayth knew that. This piece of garbage wasn't any match for her even in her weakest moments. She decided to finally make her presence known.
"Excuse me, I seem to be lost and I was hoping you could tell me where I am".
Caught off guard, the man released his grip on the struggling woman. He turned to her, a look of surprise plastered on his face. In a drunken movement, he was now facing her. Short brown hair clung to his head due to the sweat that spilled off his face. His chest was now heaving slightly from his previous exertions and his eyes held a sort of haunted mischief.
The frightened woman took that chance to flee, not even a second glance was given, this irritated the man considerably. His facial expression twisted into a look of rage, for a long moment, only to change to something resembling amusement. Narrowly slit eyes scanned her body from top to bottom and back again, the slight spark instantly told Fayth exactly what he was thinking. She didn't need any telepathic abilities for that.
His words came out in a loud slur "Are ya now? Well I just so happen to have some free time and I'd be happy to help you young lady". Fayth fought the urge to gag as the stench of his breath hit her noise. The man wasn't hard on the eyes but his breath was absolutely rancid. The combination of booze and vomit lingered even as he took a staggering step backwards. "I'll take care of ya real good" He paused for a moment, "make sure not nothin happen to ya".
Fayth slumped her shoulders slightly trying to give the appearance of weakness. It was in her experience most people let their guard down when they believed they were in control. Looking helpless and innocent was something she faked easily. The final realization of her true strength, that would finally hit, was something she couldn't help smile at. He was so clueless and that just made the hunt that much more exhilarating.
In a low sweet tone she spoke. "I can't thank you enough. I'm new in town and I still don't know this city very well. If I hadn't found you I don't know what I would have done".
"Yup that's me a regular standup guy. Jus follow me". Stumbling backwards, his feet seemed to have a mind of their own. They were shot out from under him by some unseen force. "Well now ain't that embarass'n. If ya'd be so kind doll hows about help'n me up". The grin he held was something kin to a snake getting ready to strike.
"No problem but I really do need to get home soon. I have so much work to do in the morning".
His left hand encircled her upper arm as she pulled him up. Stepping behind her, his knuckles brushed the outer swell of her breast as he pulled her closer. Fayth could feel his left hand splay over her belly, thumb and forefinger bracketing the inner and under contours of the same breast. "Come on what's the rush" he said in a suddenly less slurred manner, "We could have some fun first now couldn't we doll"?

Fayth tensed her muscles slightly pretending to struggle. Sounds of distress mewed from her throat as she half heartily clawed at his arm. An involuntary shiver of disgust shook her body as she felt something hard rub against her backside. That act alone made her want to cut the offending appendage off and shove it up his ass. This one was definitely going to owe her a scream before the night was over.
"P-please let me go. I'll give you any thing you want".
"Anything you say".
"Yes".
Removing his hand from under her shirt, Fayth was spun around pushed back, the feel of the brick was cool against her back. Placing a hand on both sides of her, to stop any possible escape, he leaned forward stopping a few inches from her lips. His breath drifted like a warm breeze over her face.
"What are you doing?"
"You did say I could have anything I wanted. You may even enjoy it". The venomous smile returning ,as he ran one smooth finger over her bottom lip.
'This asshole is really asking for it' she thought. A wicked idea began to form in her mind as she felt his hand once again slide over her body. He leaned down to her in a forced kiss. Fayth's lips parted slightly, granting him the access he so greatly searched for. He finally pulled back after a long moment, greedily sucking air back into his lungs.
"I knew you'd come around. They always do".
"You think so huh". Fayth grabbed his shoulder, squeezing it with a little more force than necessary pushing him backwards. "Well I'll let you in on a little secret. Most girls don't like to be groped in dark alleyways. Especially by womanizing bastards like you".
A low growl of irritation rumbled through his chest. Who did this whore think she was. He didn't force anything on her that she wasn't asking for. Why did all women do that? Every last one of the bitch's were the same. They would turn him on only to end up turning him down. The one in front of him was no different. Bitches and whores that's what they were and this one wasn't getting away as easily as the last. He would just have to make her pay for what she had done. Reaching for a knife hidden in his pocket, the man made a swing for her stomach, his full intent on gutting the girl where she stood.
His movements were extremely slow to Fayth's eyes. She didn't even attempt to move as she saw the blade close in on her. Just as he was a heartbeat away from his desired target, she grabbed his wrist, bones cracking under her grip. His eyes went wide with fear as the crushing pressure increased sending sharp waves of pain up his arm.
"You bitch. What the hell are you"?
Fayth just let the sweet innocent smile returned in full force as she looked down on his pathetic
form. "Oh come on doll, aren't you having any fun"?
form. "Oh come on doll, aren't you having any fun"?
He struggled in a vain attempt to release himself. His heart pounded wildly with each passing second he remained grounded. A loud feral growl erupted from his throat as she yanked him forward, a pop echoed through the ally. Another wave of pain shot through his body as his shoulder blade was forcefully pulled out of it's socket. Her hand rapped around his throat in a death grip, a silent scream caught in his throat.
Fayth was getting tired of this hunt and knew it was time to bring it to an end. Sinking razor sharp teeth into the soft flesh, the familiar warm sticky-sweet taste filled her mouth as she drank. His heartbeat slowed as the seconds ticked by until she could feel he was close to death. Before she could finish him off Fayth felt the presence of an aura coming from the entrance. The first tendrils of anger worked their way into her system as the person came closer.
Discarding the man's body in a nearby trash pile, Fayth made her way to the approaching figure. She only let a smallest amount of irritation to cross her face. As he came closer Fayth realized it was the man from the park, yet again.
His steps were slow and deliberate, almost as though he were stalking prey. Stopping a few feet apart, they stood in silence, staring at one another. He had a calm self assured air about himself, even his gaze seemed to hold a sort of confidence of someone who held power and the knowledge to use it to its full extent.
"So," he finally said, "this is a bit of a strange coincidence... meeting so soon like this".
His voice gave away nothing. She couldn't read him like she could most people. He was a closed book to her and she didn't like it one bit. Fayth never liked not being able to read a person. That's why, in a some small way, she never cared for her meetings with Sesshoumaru. It wasn't as though she hated the guy, actually she held a great amount of respect for the demon lord, but not being able to size up a possible threat didn't sit to well with her. Though it didn't really mater right now. She needed to get him out of there before he was able to find the man she left in the ally.
"I guess you could say that".
"I guess you could say that".
"If you don't mind my asking, what is your name? As much as a bad pick up line as it may seem, you look familiar. Perhaps we've met before".
Fayth thought about what he had said. It was true. She had felt the same way, but at the same time she knew she would have remember more clearly if she did know him. It was highly doubtful she would have easily forgotten someone with such a strange color hair.
"My name?"
Thinking about her answer, Fayth decided it wasn't in her best interest, at this time to give him her real one. "My name's Furya... but you can just call me Fury. Everyone else dose".
"Hmm... Fury. It's defiantly an interesting name. I can't say I've ever heard it before."
"Yeah, well my parents had a very sick sense of humor."
"Sorry I meant no offense by it. I was mearly stating..."
"Don't worry about it red. So do you have a name or do I just keep calling you red?"
"Forgive my rudeness. I'm Kurama."
"Well Kurama, I'm sorry but I have things I have to take care of. So if you'll excuse me."
"Another time perhaps."
"Who knows. At the rate we keep running into each other it's definitely a possibility."
"Till next time then."
Fayth started off in the direction of her vehicle, stopping a few feet away from him. She didn't even turn around when she answered him back. "Yeah sure thing avatar." Fayth grinned as she made her way down the street.
Only a few blocks and she was back at her jeep. Getting inside she turned up the volume, high, and headed back to her apartment. Hopefully her sword had finally arrived. With that thought, she realize the night was finally starting to look better. Maybe coming here wasn't such a bad idea after all. The vehicle slowly pulled out of it's parking place as the first song on the CD blared out of the speakers.
Finally recover when the mood is right
looking up into a neon sky.
The child in me takes over
cause it's been to long
since the last time that I tried to fly.
Finally I find
when I lose control
inside my body crumbles.
It's like therapy for my broken soul
inside my body crumbles.
All I needs a moment
just to get away
from the stressfulness of every day.
No vital question
and i never doubt
everything's going to be OK.
Finally I find
when I lose control
inside my body crumbles.
It's like therapy for my broken soul
inside my body crumbles.
Is it OK to be myself?
Why do we always have to fight?
It's alright.
Finally I find
when I lose control
inside my body crumbles.
It's like therapy for my broken soul
inside my body.
Finally I find
when I lose control
inside my body crumbles.
It's like therapy for my broken soul
inside my body crumbles.
====================================
This night had been an interesting one to say the least. The young woman was some what of a puzzle. When Kurama had asked her name she had given a fake one, or at least he assumed. He wasn't exactly sure why he thought that, but he did. Furya, as she claimed to be, seemed to be a bit distracted during their short encounter.
Somehow, Inari only knows, she knew he was an avatar. There was too much on his mind at that point and exhaustion was finally catching up with him. So he decided to put any further thoughts of the night aside and go take a shower.
Setting it to a slightly hot temperature, he stepped in relaxing as the stream of water cascaded over his tense muscles. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, he finally began to feel more relaxed than he had been in days. Kurama stood there, for how long he wasn't sure, but the cooling water finally told him to hurry up before he was forced to finish his shower with freezing cold water. Quickly grabbing a bottle of Aloe shampoo, he squeezed a generous amount in his hand, lathering it thoroughly through his hair.
He finally finished his shower, just as the water was turning cold and stepped out looking up at his reflection in the mirror. Dripping crimson locks of hair clung to his face as he stared back at the person he had become. Seconds ticked by until he lost all concept of time itself. Emerald green eyes began to shift slightly to a golden color as images of a former life played out in his mind.
-
In the middle of an open field, a woman stood alone looking up, with eyes half closed, toward the full moon. She was holding a sword in her left hand, the hilt in the shape of dragon, wings spread out, with it's tail wrapped around a star, and a small dark purple jewel in the left. Kurama, in his demon form, stood watching as she looked over to him. She had beautiful eyes that almost seemed to glow.
A pregnant silence stretched between them before he finally spoke. "Who are you?"
"Me?" she said in a soft almost purring voice, "I'm surprised you don't already know. Most demons know at least one of the slayers when they see them."
Youko wasn't afraid of this woman, mildly curious was more like it. Of course he heard of the slayers but if he wasn't mistaken, they had faded off into something of a myth. There were five slayers at one time. Although there were few people left that still remember they ever existed. If his memory served him right, one of the slayers went over the deep end and killed the other four.
"I find that hard to believe. There are no more slayers left alive."
She simply let out a low chuckle. "Are you so sure about that silver? I know I've been asleep for a long time but I didn't think I would be forgotten so easily."
Kurama had only been standing there a matter of maybe a few minutes, when he finally snapped back to reality. Shaking off an uneasy feeling, he headed to his bedroom and got dressed, before pulling down the covers of his bed and getting in.
He lay awake, trying to stop the unwanted thoughts from taking over his mind. It didn't feel like it had been more than ten minutes before Kurama's breathing finally started to even out. The world around him faded into gray hue, that was until he felt his bed begin to shift slightly at his feet. He might have cared more if it wasn't for the fact that his body had basically given out on him. Even the act of opening his eyes seemed to be a difficult task.
Cracking one eye open he was surprised to see a familiar figure looming over him. Even before surprise could register in his mind the girl grabbed his arms, pinning him to the bed, kissing him forcefully. Pulling back she looked down at him, her lavender orbs that held a very primitive, very primal knowledge that he had only seen in someones eyes just before sex, wondering, not for the first time, what she was doing there. She grabbed a handful of his scarlet hair yanking his head to the side making him gasp as her tongue traced his jugular. Then she took one sharp nail and cut his left nipple. He winced as soon as he felt the prick, but it was soon replaced with a soft moan of pleasure when her lips touched the wound and she began to suck.
He put his hand behind her head and pulled her to him, lips slightly parted, as his tongue slipped free to forcefully break through and invade her mouth. A sort of primal instinct took over as she leaned into the ferocity, trying to take control of the kiss. He didn't't give an inch, tightening his grip on her; she decided to give in, wrapping her arms around him, as he ravaged the softness of her mouth without mercy.
Reluctantly, Kurama released her from the kiss letting out a soft groan as he struggled to drag air back into his lungs. She took the opportunity to take control again. The hand she had on his shoulder slowly trailed down his chest and then to his waist. Kurama felt her kiss at his pulse point, licking a damp line to his jaw, immediately followed by a tug at his pants, lifting him from the bed. As another muffled cry escaped his breathless lips, his pants soon disappeared beyond the bed. The last remnants of his clothes soon followed, to be forgotten the instant they were gone. She pulled roughly between her thighs. He grunted squeezing his eyes shut as once again breath escaped him, the feel of her legs tightening at his hips sent an erotic shock through his whole body.
She lowered her head and paused just above his stomach.
Ever so lightly, she nipped at the flesh just hard enough to draw a few droplets of blood to appear, only to be swiped away by her tongue. He reached down, only to find his wrist clasped down to the mattress as -abruptly and without warning - he was enveloped in a tight, wet warmth that sent a shudder of pleasure through him. Unconsciously, his thighs parted a little more, welcoming the touch, even as his other hand buried itself almost ferociously in the long sunset red locks of her hair, clenching the softness before loosening again.
Kurama slid his hand down to her shoulder, feebly pushing without really exerting much effort into the task. She ignored this, locking her arms around his hips to hold him firm as her mouth moved; her tongue swirled around the root of the man's erection, bringing him to the verge of completion within the first few moments. The feeling of hot moist pressure of her mouth working purposefully along his length caused his body to react of its own accord, bucking against her, thrusting into that warm mouth. He cried out, his back arching against the bed, his eyes squeezing shut nearly to the point of causing pain. Silver lights glowed behind his eyelids, met and enhanced by the completion of his orgasm. A single tear slipped from between his lashes fell unnoticed; a shivering wave of pleasure caused his muscles to simultaneously clench and loosen, his whole body relaxing with his mind. He turned his head aside, The woman rested her head on the smooth dip in his belly.
After a short little while he noticed her stirring, she lifted her head and slowly made her way back to his soft lips. He opened his eyes just as she descended to capture him once again. A muffled explanation of surprise was all that escaped as she shifted his position, her hands slipping down, palms ran across tender inner thighs before she moved them out just a little more settling on to of him. As he moved his hand to still her, he felt her grab his silky-smooth wrist and pressed it to the mattress, holding the man captive as her tongue explored the depths of his mouth, drawing him forth to a startling, if not expected, reaction. He groaned beneath her lips, melting back into the blankets again as her hands slipped down to roughly fondle and caress the reviving length of his member.

In one swift motion he grabbed her by the waist, sending her crashing down to the mattress hard. His hands settled on her hips, his lips crashing down on her's then moving to her neck, then to her earlobe. She didn't't even try to fight him when he settled himself between her legs.
Silky smooth skin moved with her movements as she traced his toned muscular body. He whispered something into her ear as his hand cupped her breast, thumb teasing her nipples until her breath came faster. The shear heat in his eyes made her shiver as he kissed her upper chest. He kissed between her breasts and then ran his tongue over her nipples. She shuttered as he put one into his mouth and sucked. His hands encircled her; pulling the girl forward, her upper body tipping back to allow more contact. He turned to tease the other breast, one hand on the other one he had abandoned and kneading it.
With great eagerness, she wrapped her legs around him. With that, he pushed inside of her, groaning loudly, until his hips met her's. She arched her back, letting out a low moan as he began to pull himself back out. Kurarma thrust back into her and she was lost in pleasure. After a couple of trusts, their bodies caught a comfortable rhythm.
Their passion fed off each other, spilling from one of them to the other, increasing the sensations, until his thrusts took on a more erratic quality, more urgent. As they kissed, the feeling of something large and overwhelming edging closer was there, encouraging their actions and speeding forward.
Kurama barely registered, his head forcefully being yanked forward as the woman's fangs into the tender flesh of his neck, precious lifeblood freely flowing.
At the last minute, Kurama pulled out turning her over and going in from behind. With one,
particularly sharp, thrust she writhed against him, a strangled noise lost in the back of her throat; his mouth capturing his own just as the sticky warmth of his release spilled out.

With the last of his energy, the name Fayth passed through his lips, before the world around him began to fade out of focus.
-
Kurama shot up out of his bed, a light sheen of sweat covered his body, his breath came out in ragged gasps. He looked around the room only to find it empty. The numbers on his alarm clock flashed 2:48 AM and even though Kurama knew it had only been a dream it felt so real. Never before had he had such an intense experience conjured from his subconscious. It wasn't as like he never had dreams of that nature, though it hardly ever caused the reaction this one seemed to.
Finally, coming back to reality, Kurama got up deciding another shower was in order. He wasn't even going to attempt to try to sleep any time soon, it would be completely pointless. After that dream, he knew it would be a few hours before his mind would allow him any peace. Not entirely unwanted thoughts ran around in his head as the relaxing waterfall began to clear some of the fog from his mind.

Why had he called out the name of the woman they were now searching for? The woman from his dreams looked just like the girl from earlier tonight. At the same time, there also was some similarities between Fury and the woman from his memory. It was something in their eyes, not only the fact the color was almost identical, they seemed strangely similar yet at the same time different. It was as if they could have been related if it wasn't for the fact, if he remembered correctly, the slayers had no family. It had been, in part, what made them that much more dangerous. With no emotional ties to the world, it was impossible to try to trap one with the threat of harming a loved one. As far as Kurama knew none of the slayers even had any kind of strong connection to each other.
From what he understood, if by chance one was killed then their power was distributed among the remaining members, not that he ever was an expert in anything dealing with the slayers. It was just plain stupidity for any demon not to be aware of them. The soul purpose of those individuals, before the time of the miko, was to eliminate any demon threat to humans, among other things. But that was the past. How could this girl have any connection to a slayer? The final one had vanished several centuries ago.
Letting out a sigh of irritation, he decided he would make a short trip to spirit world and see what he could find on any of the slayers. Even though Kurama was sure there wouldn't be much, if anything, he felt the need to do something constructive with the time he suddenly had. Maybe he would be able to put together some of the more confusing pieces of this puzzle. If he couldn't, then at least he could stop his mind form wandering back to that girl, if only for a little while

That's it for this chapter. Sorry if some of this story doesn't seem to fit just right. Most people, when writing a chapter, start at the beginning and go to the end. I've never been able to do it that way. For some reason I can't seem to get my mind to stay on one thing so I'll end up writing the the beginning, the middle and the end at the same time. Usually this gets me in to trouble at the end when I'm trying to string the three parts together. That's why I'm always saying this thing is giving me a headache. It doesn't matter how hard I try I just can't seem to start any given chapter and keep going till I'm done.
Also, I'm not exactly sure who I want to pair up in this and I thought it would be a good idea to ask you, the readers, what your opinions are. But I will warn you right now I am not doing a Hiei/Kurama fic. Not that I have anything against them I just don't want to put those two together. Even thought they are my two favorite characters (Kuronue being the other) in the show I just find it hard to believe that someone that is as much of a bad ass as Hiei is would be into guys. I don't know maybe it's just me but I have a hard time looking at his character that way. Seeing as Kurama kinda looks like a chick to start with maybe him, but not Hiei.
Well I'll stop my babbling so you can review and tell me what you think.
Next Chapter: Public Secrets.
