Chapter Five: Confessions

"Kurama..." I started to say. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to tell him how I felt, but I wasn't one for keeping my feelings a secret for long. Besides, he probably had at least a small right to know how I felt.

"Yes?" Kurama asked, giving me a curious look. He looked so cute with that expression on his face.

"I..." I paused for a moment so I could gather my thoughts. "I love you. You don't have to say anything back if you don't want to. I just wanted you to know. I'm not good at keeping my feelings from showing. I figured that it would be better if I told you than if you found out through my actions."

Kurama appeared to be shocked. He stared at me, and I stared back. It was almost like he was trying to read my mind to see if I was telling the truth. He was capable of doing that, and I personally wouldn't have minded the invasion of privacy at the moment.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" I asked. He had been silent for a little too long for my liking. I knew that I had told that he didn't need to say anything but that didn't keep me from wanting him too. If anything, he could have at least told me how he felt about me, even if he didn't like me. I was not a fan of waiting around for anything.

Kurama just smiled and placed one of his hands over mine. "I love you too."
