SK: well here is chapter eight. Would have had it up sooner but I got grounded for three weeks.

Chapter Eight: A Late Present is the Best ( pt 2)

         Luna woke up and looked at where Darren had been last night . She frowned alittle when she saw he wasn't there. Luna sat up and winced little , her back still alittle sore from the fight. She ignored the pain and stood up, then walking out of her room. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. She looked and Darren trying to cook something while Kit was in the way. Just as Luna was going to say something Darren spilled flour all over Kit.
         Luna started laughing causing both Darren and Kit to look at her. Luna walked over to Kit and whiled the flour off his nose saying, "Looks like someone is going to need a bath." Kit glared at Darren and used his tail to whip batter on Darren. Darren wiped the batter off and said, "you little brat." Darren picked Kit up and looked at Luna saying, "Luna why don't you start a bath for him." Luna nodded and when up stairs to the bath room. She started drawing a bath as Darren walked in, Kit throwing a fit.
         Luna walked up to then and started scratching Kit behind the ears calming him down enough to put him in the bath. She started scrubbing the flour off and Darren said, "Looks like your a red kitsune again Kit." Kit stuck his tongue out at him as Luna started drying him off. When Luna stopped she looked at Darren and said, "So what were you trying to do?" "Make breakfast," said Darren, "and Kit decided he wanted to help." Darren then looked at her with concern and said, "How are you feeling?" "I'm ok," said Luna, "But my backs alittle stiff." Darren smiled and said, "Want a back rub?" "Maybe later," said Luna.
         A little later Luna and Darren when for a walk. They went down to the movies and Luna let Darren pick. He picked a horror movie and half way through the movie Luna started to get scared. Darren smiled and whispered , "What is this scaring you?" His answer came when Luna grabbed his arm. Darren laughed and by the time the movie was over Luna had practically jumped into his lap. They walked out and Luna slapped Darren on the shoulder. "Hey," said Darren. " That's for the movie," said Luna. "So want to go for a walk in the woods?" asked Darren. "Sure," said Luna.
         They walked to the woods by Luna's home. After a while of walking they stopped by a small lake. Darren looked at it and said, "Wow this is amazing." "Ya this is my favorite spot," said Luna, " It's also the place where I found Kit." They sat down on the bank and after a while a cold wind started to blow. Luna stared shivering and scooted closer to Darren. He smiled and Put his arms around her. Luna smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. They stayed like that for a while and Luna snuggled her head into his neck. Darren started purring alittle. She looked at him a smile on her face. He smiled back at leaned in close. Luna closed the space between them and kissed him.
         They kissed for a while and Luna broke so she could breathe. She smiled at him and looked right into his eyes. After a few minutes she worked up the courage and said, "Darrn I...I love you." Darren was taken back alittle and looked into her eyes to see if she was lying . *I can't believe she really does,* thought Darren with a smile on his face when he saw she was telling the truth. "I lover you too Luna," said Darren. She smiled and threw her arms around him. Then he whispered into her ear, "Luna will you be my mate?" She looked at him alittle shocked but then said, "Yes but we have to finish school, because I highly doubt my parents will let us until then." Then walked back to Luna's house and when they got to the door it jumped into Luna's arms and snuggled close to her. Both she and Darren smiled and she told her parents what happened . They were both happy, but told them is they were going to be mates they would have to wait until school was over.
