Chapter 6 Staying For a Price

(hey… that's not a bad title!)

"*thinking* its… that…guy… with the hair…" Vera thinks to herself. "*thinking still* no duh he has hair… why would he not… his hair is awesome…" Hiei was saying something to Kurama, Kurama nods and looks over at you then back at Hiei ad Hiei continues to say stuff o him.

"*thinking* I wonder if this Genkai person likes foxes… hey! Maybe I should name the fox… it's a boy… for some reason… I can tell that with out… looking… but its sooooo cute!!!^_^" Vera just starts to smile and hugs the fox closely. While she was thinking Kurama had walked up to her, he laughed at her little scene she just put on.

"follow me.^_^" he says. "can I take the fox with me?" "I'm sorry, but Genkai won't allow you to bring any animal in here unless you live here, and at the moment, you don't exactly live here yet." He says. You sadly put the fox down. "you better not leave! Just hang around!" she tells it, Kurama just smiles.

He opens the door for her and she steps in. Kurama then steps in and closes the door behind him.

It was most certainly a temple place, but with lots of modern stuff. The room she had just stepped into looked like the living room, it had a hard wood floor. It contained (in the room) a black leather couch, a fur chair that could recline, a spiny chair that was occupied by Kuwabara.

"hey Vera!!" He yells out waving rapidly back and forth. "you sleep to long." Yusuke's say as he enters the room. "hey Yusuke! Hey Kazuma!" Vera waves friendly at them. Vera rushes over and sits on the couch and hogs it by laying down.

"hey! I wanna sit down!" Yusuke whines. "its to bad that your to slow." Kuwabara was laughing at Yusuke. Yusuke turns around and goes over and literally throws Kuwabara off of his chair. "HEY!!! I WAS SITTING THERE!!!" "well now your not and I am." Vera laughed. But then stopped when a old lady just suddenly appeared in the room.

"I'm guessing that your Vera?" she asks/says. Vera just nods. "stand up!" she yells at her. Vera quickly stands, and Genkai looked over her. She circled around Vera repeat ably and looking at her up and down. "hm… ever heard of buying new clothes… or at least wearing things that fit you? These are way to big for you." She says.

And it was kinda true, her clothes were kinda hanging off of her. Vera looks at the floor. "*mumbling* my father wouldn't let me…" everything went quiet. But Genkai broke the silence.

"do you like fighting?" she asks. Vera was surprised. "uh… yah…" "who do you usually fight with?" "uh… well… I haven't even picked a fight with anybody… since Yusuke left…" Vera says while putting on an innocent face. "how long ago was that?" "bout 6 years ago.." she says. Genkai turns to Yusuke, "is she any good?" "yah…" Yusuke was gonna start laughing.

"well… if your going to stay here, your gonna have to pay the price." Vera was like going back and forth on her feet. "and that would be…" "you have to clean around here, and you have to be trained… starting next week." Vera was surprised… but for a odd reason. "but… I was already trained…" she says. Yusuke was like -.^. Everyone else didn't get it.

"*whispering to Vera* not that kinda training… the kind when you train to get stronger." Vera was sow like ^_^ "^_^ I knew that… hehe…heh…"

Then suddenly, the fox came running in from the window, and Hiei was following it with is sword out. "NO!!!! NOT THE FOX!!! DON'T TOUCH MY FOX!!!!! KEEP YOUR SWORD AWAY FROM THE FOX!! STEP AWAY FROM THE FOX!!! NNNOOOO TOUCHY!!!" Hiei had stopped in his tracks. And just glared at Vera. The fox jumped into Vera's arms.

"you no touch'n meh fox! Or your head will be cut clear off you---" Yusuke and Kurama had slammed their hands on Vera's mouth. "what was that onna?" He said approaching Vera. "*shakes off their hands* YOUR HEAD WILL FLY OFF!!!!" And of course, Hiei did not take this lightly. "Hiei, you don't land a hand on her until we start to train." Genkai says.

Genkai turns to Vera. "your lucky you now live here. Have you named it yet?" she asks. "no… I'm thinking… but …I am not getting anywhere what so ever." "how about… Fenix!" Vera yells aloud and the fox wiggled around in her arms, while wagging its tail. But then a growl was heard.

"what the hell was that?" Genkai asks Vera. "uh… I'm very hungry…" "well… I guess you should eat something then… if you want to actually be able to fit into clothes with out them falling on…" Vera blushes then turns and runs to a random door for no real reason.

She runs right into it and the fox had jumped out of her arms before she came into contact. "drats!" she says while standing. "my luck sucks… where's my room?" She asks Genkai who was now like 0.o. "what?" Vera asks.

Yusuke and Kuwabara were on the floor laughing. "I… forgot… how… funny that is!" Yusuke says through out bursts of laughter. "uh… your room is not yet ready, you'll just have to sleep either out here, or outside. "is there going to be a flash flood tonight?" "no… o.o" she answers. "THEN I WILL STAY OUTSIDE!!!" "why would you wanna know if there was going to be a flash flood?" Kurama asks. "long story…" she says while looking over at Kuwabara who was smiling sheepishly.

"I won't even ask…" Genkai says while looking towards the doorway she had entered through. Then a girl with ice blue hair, and eyes similar to Hiei's stepped in. "lunch is ready!^_^" Hiei suddenly disappeared. "LUNCH!!! OH MY GOSH!!! I GET DIBS ON THE CHAIR NEXT TO YUSUKE!!!!!" "NOOOO!!!!!!" Yusuke screams out.

Now everyone was like 0.0 as Vera and Yusuke run into the kitchen area, a crash was heard and everyone ran in. Vera was sitting in a chair, which for some odd reason was right next to Hiei. Yusuke had pushed her into it and sat at the chair across from her.

Hiei was just glaring at Vera. Vera was like @_@.

"Yusuke!!!!!! YOUR TO STRONG!! ITS NO FAIR!!! YOU ALWAYS WIN!!!! IF KEIKO WAS HERE SHE'S WHAP YOU IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!!"

Yusuke was just smirking. Everyone took their seats. The girl that had told everyone that dinner was ready sat next to Yusuke, while Kuwabara sat right next to her. "Yukina my darling, lunch looks great." He says with starry eyes. You roll your eyes while Hiei growled and glared at Kuwabara freaking him out.

Kurama sat in-between Genkai and Kuwabara, and the seat next to you was empty. "Yusuke…. I'll get you for this!" Just then her fox Felix came running in and sat on the chair. "no animals at the table." Genkai said threateningly.

"sorry, Felix.. .you can't sit there…" Felix sadly jumped off the chair and sat at Vera's feet. "oh, I almost forgot, I'm Yukina, its very nice to meet you.^_^" the ice blue haired girl says while smiling widely at Vera. "oh.. uh… I'm Vera, its also a pleasure to meet you! ^__^"

"what, suddenly you have manners Vera?" Yusuke asks still smirking. "yes…" she says. "onna… get the stupid fox away form my feet!" Hiei growls out. "awwww Felix won't hurt you! ^__^" she says. "yah… but… Felix doesn't even like any of us… he bit me…" Kuwabara says. "yah… he won't let me hold him." Yusuke says unhappily. "I don't care!! JUST GET IT OFF OF ME!!" He yells at her. Vera puts her hand under the table and makes a tiny noise with her tongue. And the fox came to her licking her arm.

"lets just start eating…" Genkai says. On that key word -eating- Yusuke and Vera literally dug in.
