Chapter 5 Making New Friends and Why They Have to Protect Her Part 2

( crap… in the last title it was Making New Friends and Why They Have to Protect you Part 1… I messed up… its supposed to be Making New Friends and Why They Have to Protect Her Part1…. I am so very sorry about that! I guess I got to attached to writing insert you stories! ^_^… I kinda still am…)

OK…. Now where were we… no seriously….. um… OH YAH!!! *clearing throat*………

So, Kuwabara has finally gotten to his house, and ran into his sister, Shizuru (sp?). "hey Kazuma, who's that?" "uh……….." he just stands there holding her with an extremely stupid expression on his face. "she looks…. Like…. Vera… is that her?" she asks while walking up to Kuwabara and Vera. "YUP! She has to stay here for the night because she doesn't have anywhere to stay." "how come?" Kuwabara doesn't answer. "well… give her to me, she can sleep in my room on the bottom bunk." (YES!!! NOW SHIZURU HAS A BUNK BED!!!!!)

"HEY!!! NO FAIR!!!!!" Kuwabara yells after her as she starts up the stairs towards her room. "you've got your own bed. So sleep there." She walks off leaving Kuwabara .

"*thinking* what happened to her…?" she arrives at her room and walks in, she lays Vera down, and puts the covers over her. Then as soon as she did Kuwabara came running in, and a angry Boton came running in after him.

"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!" he screams while running over to the window of the bedroom. "KUWABARA!!!" Boton yells while approaching him. "hey guys, maybe you should be---" she was cut off by Kuwabara. " I didn't do anything!" "THEN HOW DID MY OAR BREAK!!!" "IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!!" "SO YOU ADMIT IT!!!!" "AHHHH!" "GUYS QUIET!!!!!!" Shizuru finally yells out, they all fall silent.

Boton walks up to the bed and knells down beside it. "this must be Vera… poor girl…" "what do you mean by poor girl?" Shizuru asks. "she's been through so much… it's a wonder how she wasn't driven to suicide." Boton says while stroking Vera's cheek. "what has she been through?" Shizuru asks. "such horrible things… she never even had a saying in any of it."

Vera shifts in her sleep. "but she looks sooooo cute in her sleep! ^_^" Boton says while smiling widely. "yah… she sure does… do you think you could leave now, she could… and obviously needs some sleep, and I'm kind of tired myself." "sure! I'll just be here to get her tomorrow. Bye Bye!!!^_^" After saying that, Boton kinda… disappeared… into thin air…. Don't ask why…. Cuz I don't know…. she just did. "ahhhhhh! She's some kinda ghost!!" "well duh. She's the grim reaper." Kuwabara runs out of Shizuru's room, and to his own.

Shizuru gets into something to sleep in, goes up to her bunk, and falls asleep.

MEAN WHILE WITH YUSUKE AND THE OTHER RE--- THE PEOPLE!!!!!

"so, she can't stay at Kuwabara's home forever, where will she stay?" Yusuke asks Koenma. "well, she could stay at Genkai's… and Genkai could train while she's still human." Koenma says to Yusuke. "all we need now is Genkai's approval.

"I will go ask her right now." Kurama says while standing still, "yes, you do that, I will send Boton to grab some of her things." "if she even has any…" Yusuke mumbles to himself.

Boton suddenly appears in the middle of the room. "Boton, just the person I was hoping to see, if you don't mind, could you go to Vera's house and grab some of her things. And then bring them to Yusuke?"

"yes! I'll do that right now!^_^" Then she disappears. "Hiei, what will you be doing?" Kurama asks before leaving. "hn" is all he says, then he just disappears. "well, I'll be leaving to, I'll see you as soon as I get news on what Genkai says." Kurama bows slightly then leaves the house. (duh, what was he going to do? Go straight to the bathroom and flush himself down the toilet and leave threw there? Course not, but it'd be really funny though! ^_^ )

"I guess I'll just leave too." Koenma leaves, with the pink smoke of death and all! "yah, leave me here with nothing to do… usually it'd be like… oh why don't you kill this demon while your at it…. But now its nothing…" Yusuke talks like this while walking up the stairs of his house and to his room.

There, he just flops down onto his bed, and falls asleep.

IN THE MORNING!!!! WHICH IS IN THE MORNING WHEN VERA WAKES UP!!!

Vera was tossing and turning and struggling at the same time. She had gotten herself rapped up tightly in her blankets and could barely move. Shizuru climbs down and looks at Vera weirdly. "how did she do this?" She puts her hand on Vera's shoulder and moves it a little. "hey, Vera, wake up…"

Vera shots her eyes open and looks at Shizuru. " Shizuru?" she says in a tired but awake voice. "yah, its me kid." Shizuru says smiling. "why am I here?" "Kazuma said something about no one having room in there house for you to stay at, and that you were staying here for a while." "oh…"

"Vera put her feet on the floor (not standing), and looks around. "ooohhh this is your room…" Vera says while stretching. "Boton said she'd be here to get you ." Shizuru says while helping Vera to her sleep. "who's Boton?" She asks kinda confused. "she's the grim reaper, she works for that Koenma guy." "oh…" Shizuru leads Vera down the stairs and to the kitchen. "want anything to eat?" "YES!!!! I WANT PANCAKES!!! EGGS!!! TOAST!!! MORE PANCAKES!!! MORE TOAST!!!" Shizuru was like 0.0 and o.O.

Then a girl with blue hair and pink eyes walks into the room with a huge smile. "hello, I see you guys are awake." "is this Boton?" "yup, that's her." "come on, I have to take you to Koenma!!" Boton yells while grabbing her hand and pulling Vera out of the door. "FOOD!!! I'M HUNGRY!!!! I WANT FOOD! NOOOOOOO!!!!" Boton dragged her out of the house and all the way to Kurama's house.

"Kurama will watch over you for me, I have to go attend to business! ^_^" She just leaves her standing there on the side walk. She almost ran back over to Kuwabara's house to eat the breakfast Shizuru had offered her, but then Kurama had answered the door. "oh, hello Vera, why don't you come in." "sure… *mumbling* I'm hungry…" she walks up to Kurama and walks into his house.

It was a normal house, nothing abnormal, except for the smell of roses. "have you had breakfast?" he asks her, her eyes light up. "NO!!!!" "*smiling* would you like some?" "YES!!... please!" "what would you like?" "TOAST!!!! PANCAKES!!!!! EGGS!!!! MORE PANCAKES!!! AND MORE TOAST!!!" she yells out similar to what she had said earlier, except it was said a little louder and in an different order.

But then there was a big puff of smoke, and Koenma stood there in his toddler form. (she has yet to see his teenager form) "Kurama, you should go take her to see Genkai now. "AFTER THE FOOD!!!" she says loudly, but Koenma just ignored her. "ok." Then Koenma was gone again, with the pink smoke of death and all. "I hate pink… but never mind that!!! I want food!" she says while turning back to Kurama.

"I'm sorry, but that will have to wait, I have to take you to meet Genkai." He says calmly. "but… food….my food… me…my….food…" she stutters. "I'm pretty sure Yukina will be making something for lunch if she's there, for I am sure we will arrive around lunch time."

"lunch time!? What about morning time! Breakfast my being hungry!" Kurama just smiles. "don't worry, Yukina makes bug lunches, and Yusuke and the others will be there waiting for you to arrive." Vera thinks for a minute. "fine…" They leave the house and Vera just follows Kurama.

After a while they reach a forest. "wow… cool forest… can I climb a tree… or 2… or 3… or 4… or maybe all of them?" she asks hopefully. "*smiling* that will take you all day." "its that big? Wow…" they continue walking down the path that they had started taking once they reached the forest.

The tree's were very tall, and very thick, only rarely did she see any thin ones. "LOOK KURAMA!!! A FOX!!! OH MY GOSH I LOVE FOXES!!!!!" She yells out and runs over to it, surprisingly enough hit did not run away, in fact, it actually enjoyed her petting it. Kurama was surprised. "you like foxes?" "yah! they're one of my favorite animals!" "how many favorites do you have?"

"5, and they are all tied as first, though wolf is my most fav… first wolf, then fox, then dragon, then phoenix, then eagles!" she says while picking up the fox and caring it over to Kurama. Now he as even more surprised. "I'm just curious, but do most animals like you?" "well… an animal has never run away from me… nor have they hesitated to let me carry them, pet them… and all that other stuff…"

"wow…" They now reached a HUGE staircase. Vera's mouth drops down slightly and her eyes grow big. "wow! it's a staircase!" Kurama sweet drops. "do we have to climb that?"

"yes." Vera hesitates, still caring the fox, she puts it down and starts up the stairs, the fox follows. "that's amazing."

HOURS LATER!!!

"Kurama!!!! there are to many stairs, even the fox is getting tired… it even stopped!" It was true, the fox had stopped and was breathing hard. Vera took this time to look at it closely. It was a brown fox. It had piercing but soft blue eyes (I'm not sure if that's normal… but if it isn't, now it is!). She picks the poor fox up and turns to Kurama who was now beside her. "but you don't seemed tired." "I don't get tired easily." Kurama smiles, and continues up the stairs. "don't worry we're almost at the top, just a few more steps.

Kurama was right, it was just a few more steps. Once she finally got up there, she gasped. "COOL!!!! A TEMPLE!!!!!" She runs up to it, but stops once she gets to the door, because Kurama wasn't following. "hey Kurama, what's up?" She turns around to look at him, he was talking to Hiei.

How do you like it so far? I'm going to add a coolio frie--- person that I know in the story… cuz she wanted me to… anyway, Vera is very hyper… animals like her………………

Animefreak11- uhhhh huh…… what times r u usually on? I have to do a stupid science fair project… can u tell me what grade your in? u just might be able to help me!!!! And I have to study for a stupid evil mutant … corn…. (scratch out corn… though its true, we have mutated corn… its kind a funny if you think about mutated corn attacking everybody!^_^) test too…. *sigh* But, I like playing the flute, one'a d'best in meh class. Though I barely ever practice…. I think I should…..
