Chapter 4 Making New Friends and Why They Have to Protect You Part 1

(hehe! Long chapter title^_^)

As they were walking, Vera started to get tired. "um… Yusuke… why did you have to move your house…. Far away?" she asks in a half-wining and half-yawning tone. "*smirk* what? Getting tired?" he asks, while trying to look through her bangs and at her eyes. "maybe…" she yawns again. "We are almost there don't worry." Kurama says in a calm voice without turning to look at you. "ok…" she says while looking at the ground.

After probably 5 minutes they reach Yusuke's house, well… it was more like ona' those apartment places that look like houses, but…. IT'S A HOUSE… Ok…

They go up to the door and Yusuke finds his key (it took like 4 minutes) and unlocks the door. She walks in and looks happy, his house was way warmer than hers, and she just stood there for a while soaking in the warmth. "here, you look kinda cold." Yusuke raps a blanket around her and leads her to the couch that was next to a window. "Koenma should be arriving anytime now." Kurama says while smiling at Vera warmly, making her feel even more warm inside.

"who is Koenma?" she asks to no one in particular. "Koenma is the spirit over the Spirit World." Kurama says. " Spirit World… it kinda rings a bell…" she says. She looks at the couch she was sitting on and she notices that it was the same one she always sat on when ever she came over to Yusuke's house, and she had always hogged and wouldn't let anyone else sit on it.

Then, the door opens, and in steps… KUWABARA!!!! "Kazuma?" she says while making a face that was a mixture of, dude your taller than me now, man… uh…why is he here, and o my gosh its Kuwabara! "uh… who is this Urameshi? Wait… VERA!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!" He runs over to her and practically squeezes her to death. "Kuwabara let her go! Your gonna squeeze her to death!" Yusuke yells at him. "ok… *lets go* so… let me h=guess why you're here… *takes a "mighty" stance* you're here because we have to protect you…. Or something!" he yells. "uh… OH MY GOSH!!!! HE'S ACTUALLY BEING SMART!!!!" Yusuke yells while smirking.

Vera sends of a tiny laugh. "uh… wait…. Why do you guys have to protect me?" Vera asks. "well…" Kurama starts off, but was interrupted by… THE PINK SMOKE OF DEATH!!!! (in other words, Koenma has arrived!)

"oh, I see you've gotten her." Koenma says while walking up to her and looking her over. "what the hell are you doing ?!" Yusuke asks, he was getting annoyed, and kinda angry. "if anything is here that wasn't here before, they'll kill me!" Koenma yells. Vera was in total shock. Because, first off, it was pink smoke, second, this guy was the ruler of spirit world… and he was a toddler, and the fact that he was… analyzing her. "uh… who?" Kuwabara asks with a really stupid face. Koenma juts ignored him. "OH NO!!!!! SHE HAS A SCAR MARK ON HER LEG AND ON HER ARM!!!! I'M DOOMED!!!!" Koenma yells with anime tears flowing down his face.

"…" Vera looks at the floor, not saying anything. Koenma lifts up her hair and looks at her neck. "NO!!!! HERE'S ONE ON HER NECK!!!! I'M DEAD!!!!!" Koenma yells while running around in rapid circles. "ON HER NECK!!!???" Yusuke yells while standing up and running over to her and looking at her neck, Kurama simply looks like 0.0. "why that…" Yusuke says while standing up and looking at.

"who is going to kill you?" Kuwabara asks. "her brother and other friends!! *anime tears*" Vera looks confused. She looks up at the floating toddler. "who are my brothers…?" she asks, her bangs moved away from her eyes, showing her now dull green eyes. Koenma looks sadly at her. "*thinking* I've seen pictures of her… her eyes were so bright… but now… so dull… if her brothers get any info on this…. I'm dead for sure!" Koenma shakes off the sad face and puts on a serious face.

"I will not tell you that, you will figure that out sooner or later. I have to tell you why you're here." He starts off. Then Vera felt a cold breeze come from the window. He looks over and sees nothing, but when she turns back to look at Koenma, there was this guy leaning against the wall next to Vera.

"Hiei, glad you could join us." The floating toddler of doom says to the guy leaning on the wall.

He was wearing a long black cape/coat like thing, and he was wearing black baggy, training like things. His eyes were a piercing crimson red. HE had a bandana thing around his forehead. His hair as a very dark black (uh… I think black is just black… but…) and totally defied the laws of gravity (which I like… no love to do!^_^), and he was about (I'm sorry, but… I can't help myself! He is going to not be the height he really is!) 5'7. He also had the bright white star burst in his pitch-black hair.

"Hiei, this is Vera, Vera this is Hiei." Kurama introduces her Hiei (duh, I just typed that!). "well… ok… Vera, you are a demon." Koenma says in a matter a fact tone. "what? ?_?" she says. "yes, you are a demon, a wolf demon. But, you also have powers like a witch, or a sorcerer." He says. "UWWW!!!!! WITCHES ARE COOL!!! *yawn*" Vera says, everyone was like O.o. "uh… she gets… weird…. When she's tired…" Yusuke says, with the ever lasting O.o on his face.

"hey! Do not! *yawn*" she says again while yawning really loud. "well, anyway… you are probably wondering why you didn't know any of this before, well… the thing is, you do. Its just that, when you were in battle, some how someone was able to cast a spell on you before you could kill them, you were sent into the human world, and into the womb of a human woman." Koenma says, Vera was about to go loopy from sleepyness.

"AND THEN I WAS BORN!!!" She yells out randomly. Everyone except Hiei falls anime style. "hey, that sounds sorta like what happened to Kurama." Yusuke says while making sire Vera just wouldn't suddenly pass out right then and there.

"who's Kurama?" Vera asks. "well… that's what we like to call Suiichi, because that is his real name." Yusuke says.

"why?" "because." "because why?" "because he's really a demon called Youko Kurama." "why?" "I can't explain it." "why?" "because I wasn't alive when he suddenly had to be reborn into human family." "why?" "I DON'T KNOW!" "why?" "VERA!!!" "how come then?"

Then, she just suddenly falls asleep. Yusuke just happened to be there and catches her. (cuz she fell forward) "she seriously worries me." Yusuke says while shaking his head. "do you have an extra room for her?" Kurama asks. "no…," he says. "do you?" "no… my guests rooms are being used because some of my moms family is staying over." He says sadly. They all turn to Kuwabara.

"what? ?_?" he asks/says while. "baka" Hiei says while glaring at

yusuke who had put Vera at his feet for some reason. "well… I got to go bye!" Koenam puffs away. "ok… KUWABARA!!! DON'T DO ANYTHING FREAKY TO HER…THIS TIME!!!!!!!!" Kuwabara cringes. "but… fine!! Didn't have to yell at me…" Kuwabara picks her up, and walks out of the room/house.
