Claws slashed at her opponent as he lunged towards her. She watched the precious crimson liquid spurt from the wound and growled a low warning, telling her opponent to stop or they would die. The growl went ignored as he lunged towards her again, this time she latched onto her opponent with her sharp teeth, tearing into his flesh and allowing the sweet crimson liquid to fill her mouth.
"WHAT IS GOING ON OUT HERE?!" The voice of an older woman shouted, lauching a ball of energy towards her. It hit her square in the side, causing her to yelp and let go of her foe. She crouched on all fours and growled at the elder woman as she approached, but the woman was unfazed.
"Shut up mutt. You did quite a bit of damage to him." the woman said. She lowered herself and began to whine, knowing that surely this woman would punish her for it.
"When you unshift come inside, and we will discuss this matter." The woman said, carrying the man who she had just attacked inside. The shift back to her human form was painful but once complete she went to the back door and knocked.
"Come in Armina, I thought you would know better than this." The elder woman said, her tone harsh. She went inside and bowed down to the floor, her forehead touching her hands.
"I ask your forgivness Mistress Genkai, I did not know he had your protection." Armina said, tensing up as she heard Genkai get closer.
"Straighten up Armina, you are to heal him completely and in the morning we will discuss what should happen to you since this is the second time you have attacked someone who was under my protection." Genkai said, leaving her alone. She looked at the raven haired boy and glared.
"This is all your fault, you had no business in my den." She growled as she held her hands out and healed him. Once done she went back outside and returned to her den.

She stood outside the door and sighed, knowing the Genkai would possibly banish her this morning for the attack on her latest pupil. She went to the back door and went inside, noticing how the boy sat at the table with Genkai.
"Who the hell are you?" The boy asked. She glared as Genkai turned around and saw her.
"Yusuke, go outside and begin your training session, I need to talk with her alone." Genkai ordered. Yusuke got up and left, glancing over his shoulder, noticing how she sat in his now empty seat. He went towards the forest but quickly doubled back and sat outside the window, listening in on the conversation.
"Armina, explain."
"He came into my den last night master, I did not know he was under your protection."
"Armina, this is the second time you have done this. The first time was understandable but I am not nearly as forgiving now as I was with Koenma. I have called him for counsel on what should happen to you." As soon as Genkai said that, Koenma walked in.
"You called me Genkai?" Koenma said, looking from Genkai to Armina.
"I did, Armina has attacked Yusuke and nearly killed him. I need your approval since I have a punishment in mind."
"And what would that be?" Koenma asked, noticing how nervous Armina was now.
"I want to have her sent to demon world. I know she isn't a demon but is a Lycan but she acts like one and I don't enjoy her mauling my students or my guests."
"Mistress please I didn't mean too! Please don't send me away this is all I know, this is my home I'm sorry it won't happen again! Please Mistress please!" Armina cried, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Genkai, while I agree these attacks need to stop, I don't think sending her to Makai would be the wisest decision. Armina, your human father is in Bejing is he not?"
"Yes sir."
"He knows you are alive but a Lycan correct?""Yes sir."
"Genkai, I propose we send her to Bejing, she will live with her father. I do believe that would solve your problem." Genkai looked thoughtful then nodded.
"Yes I believe that will work, Armina do you understand what is to happen to you?"
"Yes Mistress." Armina said, leaving out the front door. Genkai looked to the window and sighed.
"Get in here dimwit!" she yelled at Yusuke. He sighed and climbed in through the window.
"Yusuke, I believe you heard the entire conversation?" Koenma asked. He nodded.
"So she won't come back will she?" Yusuke asked. Koenma looked at Genkai and they both nodded.
"She shouldn't, and should she return to Japan by her fathers decision she will not be welcome back into the forest." Genkai explained.
"Is she really a Lycan?"
"Yes, the only catch was her mother was a muse."
"What's a muse?" Yusuke asked, only to be smacked by Genkai.
"You dimwit. A muse is from Greek mythology, they are the goddesses or spirits who inspire creation in literature and art."
"Then how is she a Lycan?"
"She was bitten two days after her mother was killed."
"How can a goddess be killed?" Yusuke asked. Genkai and Koenma looked at eachother in a nervous fashion.
"We don't exactly know, her mother was Terpsichore, the muse of dance. She's been bitter ever since and being a Lycan doesn't exactly help."
"It makes her more violent?"
"No dimwit, she can control her lycanthropy due to the blood of the goddess that runs in her veins but she's volatile towards anyone who emits spirit energy and trespasses in her den."
"So that's why she was sent away?"
"Yes, unfortunatly I fear that we may have made a rash decision." Koenma said, both Yusuke and Genkai raised an eyebrow.
"And why is that?" Genkai asked.
"Because my father is summoning me, and from the sound of it, another muse is dead." Genkai sighed and looked at Yusuke.
"Go with Koenma, the others will more than likely meet you there." Yusuke went to question but saw how concerned she was. He followed Koenma into the portal.
With Koenma
"Why did Genkai seem so worried?" Yusuke asked.
"Shut up and just wait here. OGRE! Summon the other detectives and have them wait here I have a mission for them." Koenma said, storming past a door behind his desk. One by one Kurama, Kuwabara, and Hiei all appeared.
"What are we doing here?" Kurama asked Yusuke. Yusuke shrugged.
"I don't know something about a muse dying." right as he said that Koenma came in, looking extremely worried.
"I have a mission for you but first allow me to apologize for not informing you sooner about the dangers you are now all in."
"What do you mean?" Hiei said in his usual bored tone.
"There have been some deathes lately, and not normal demon or special humans you deal with. They have been muses."
"Muses?" Kurama asked, his interest peaked at this.
"Yes muses, my father informed me not to until he looked into it. Well he has, 7 of the original 9 muses are dead and they have not been killed by normal means but by using the cursed weapons that were meant to kill gods. There is a ritual my father found that if the muses are killed then not only are the gates to Makai unsealed, but the killer is allowed three wishes."
"And what does this have to do with us besides the normal save the world bullshit." Yusuke asked.
"The cult behind this are looking to bring back Toguro as a god, and turn the world into a living hell. Your mission is to find and eliminate the cultists, and to protect the last two original muses along with the daughter of the muse of dance."
"Wait one of the muses has a daughter?" Kuwabara asked seeming very confused.
"Yes, she managed to revoke her immortality 18 years ago and had a daughter. Now get going, if they successfully kill all the muses and the daughter then I shudder to think of what my father may do in order to keep an apocalypse from happening." Koenma said. Everyone muttered and grumbled before leaving the office and arriving outside of Genkai's.
"So where should we start on this mission?" Yusuke asked, his tone showing how he was already loathing this mission.
"I'll start in Genkai's library, she's sure to have a book or two on the muses and the legends behind what happened to them." Kurama said walking inside.
"I suggest you nitwits train while he does the research, your enemies aren't playing around and would probably kill you in less than a second." Genkai yelled from the front door, she slammed it shut. Yusuke and Kuwabara sighed, what a way to start a mission.
