Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Detective Storms ❯ chapter 6 ( Chapter 6 )

Okay, so it's a little late, but better late than never, eh? *dodges flying objects headed her way* But I did get it in…that should count for something! By the way, in case y'all aren't aware, I do not own YuYu Hakusho. Now, let's go!

 

Chapter 6: “Here's the Mission!”

 

 

Koenma faded in through the VCR tape's static for a moment and then appeared clearly. “Hello Yusuke, Kurama, Kuwabara and Hiei. I see you didn't believe my makeshift emissary, so it seems that it falls upon me to explain.

 

“You have obviously met Chiara and her team. They are, like you, my Spirit Detectives. Though they don't look it, they've been my spirit detects from the very beginning.

 

“Once I realized that the human and spirit world, plus the space between, were too much for just 5 people—er, demons to handle, I began to draft more teams and train them for the protection of a designated area. Since Chiara and her team had been my first detectives, they were given a major position of authority with regards to the Reikai Tantei and were given the whole of Reikai to protect.”

 

“They haven't been doing a very good job of it, if you ask me. There's always someone threatening to take over the spirit world.” Yusuke interrupted, glowering.

 

“Anyway, here is the important stuff. These girls are to be your trainers for the Dark Tournament. They've participated in similar battle royals and know what they're doing. They are in charge and will be periodically reporting to me. All of you are to train with them. That means you too, Hiei. Yusuke, you may be asked to train with Genkai, seeing as she is your master, and your training is not yet finished. Above all, behave yourselves.” After that, the screen went blank.

 

“Great! I have the option of eating crow and having another girl boss me around, or be stuck with Grandma trying to kill me! How fricken great!” Yusuke said sarcastically.

 

Just then, Genkai walked in from outside. “You're training with me, dimwit. Meet me in the meditation room in 10 minutes.” She walked away, headed into the kitchen.

 

“Well, there solves that problem.” Yusuke replied to no one in particular.

 

Meanwhile, Kurama had stood up, motioning for Kuwabara to follow, knowing that Hiei would do the same. They made their way into the backyard to find the girls sitting in a circle around some papers. Getting nearer, Kurama could tell it was a file of some sort as the girls' spoke in hushed tones. Finally, standing over them, he saw that it was a file on Yusuke, Hiei, Kuwabara and himself. Clearing his throat, he caught their attention.

 

“Oh, hello! Is the movie over?” Chiara asked.

 

“Yes, it was quite informative. The only thing it lacked was full introductions.” Kurama replied.

 

“Well,” Chiara responded. “Let's fix that.”
