Apology

Hiei woke to the sound of rain hitting against the window. He carefully turned his head to where the sound was coming from. Well I guess the others brought me back to Reikai. At least they didn't do anything stupid to my body. As he tried to sit up he felt a sharp stinging off pain run through his system. That was a sign to tell him that it was going to be very hard to get up. If she would've come quietly I wouldn't be in this state right now. Baka onna. Once again Hiei tried to move his body. This time he was successful even though it hurt a lot. He slowly made his way to the door as he almost slammed into the door. When he opened the door he looked outside and saw that nobody was in the hallway. They must have taken her to see Koenma in his office. Well, I can sense them from here so it won't take me too long. In about five minutes Hiei was in front of the door to Koenma's office. Another sharp pain went through his body as he clutched his heart. This pain is almost unbearable. What could've caused this? I think I need to make a trip to Makai. As he opened the door Kurama, Yusuke, and Kuwabara were staring at him. Hiei put on his usual scowl. “What are you staring at? Is it so unusual to see someone walk through the doorway?” Hiei growled.
“Well, we were just worried about you. I mean, Hiei, you collapsed. You don't normally do that in the open,” Kurama quietly said.
“And just to let you know she's in that room talking to Koenma. We thought you should know and all,” Yusuke said as he pointed to a door across from then.
“Do you really think I even care?” Hiei muttered. He then took his usual spot on the seat of the windowsill. There was a long moment of silence and finally Koenma in his teenage form came out with Reina following after him.
“Ah, Hiei, I see you're awake now.”
“Hn.”
“Well then, Kuwabara, Yusuke, and Kurama, if you could follow me. I need to discuss some things with you. They'll fill you in later seeing you need some rest Hiei,” Koenma spoke. Hiei simply stared out the window watching the rain as the boys went into the room. Reina sat on the couch staring at the floor and Hiei was looking out the window. No one said anything for a while. All you could hear was the rain hitting against the window. She decided to break the silence, and headed over to Hiei slowly.
“Um, Hiei? Can I talk to you?” She quietly asked. Hiei didn't respond so she took that as a yes. “Well, Koenma told me that you really didn't…well…you know. And I want to say I'm sorry for jumping at you like that without even asking you. I thought that I finally found the person who killed my parents and my mind filled with rage. And now you're hurt because of my stupid judgement. Please accept my apology.” Hiei didn't know what to say. Well, she tried to kill me…now she wants an apology. I want to forgive her…wait? Am I going soft? I want to forgive this princess who wanted to take my life and says she's sorry because of bad judgement?
I am really confused now. “Well, if you can't forgive me then please let me tell you that I am sorry and if there is anyway that you can accept my apology then I will do anything you want.”
“I forgive you,” Hiei stated.
“Y-you do?” she asked in shock.
“I was thinking over about what you said and then you started talking. I'm just feeling really tired at the moment if you thought I was trying to ignore you,” Hiei said. She was happy, confused, and shocked to hear Hiei say something. Koenma said that he was very distant from everyone concealing his emotions, but to me he just seems lonely and sad.
She just smiled at him and sat back down on the couch when the others came back in the room.
“I hope he didn't give you any trouble, Reina-hime,” Koenma asked.
He knew that Hiei could be hostile.
She just smiled at him. “He wasn't any trouble at all.”
“Ok, so I said to the others that you will be staying at a temple owned by Genkai and the others will help you move in there until we can send you back to your home.”
“Why can't you just send me there now?”
“Well, you see it's very hard to locate your home and to open the portal there so you will have to wait till we can reach word there and then they will pick you up here in Reikai.”
“So you want me to leave to this Genkai's place now?” she asked.
Koenma nodded and opened a portal to the temple.
“So Reina-hime,” Kurama said.
“You can just call me Reina. I don't like the formal stuff. It makes me sound old if you know what I mean!” she joked.
“Alright, Reina, we will take you back and introduce you do Genkai. I'm sure she will be happy to have you,” Kurama told her. Kurama was about to go through after everyone until he saw Hiei just standing there.
“Aren't you coming Hiei?” He asked.
“I'll be back later,” Hiei said. Kurama nodded and went through the portal and Koenma closed it.
“So Hiei, what do you want? I know that you need something so just ask away,” Koenma said as he sat down in his chair.
“ I need a portal to Makai,” The fire demon answered. The ruler of Reikai was wondering why he needed one.
“And why do you need one Hiei?” Koenma asked curiously.
“Please Koenma. I need one.” Koenma never heard Hiei actually say please so something must have been wrong.
“Oh alright, where do you need it?”
“I need one directly in Mukuro's office.” Koenma opened a portal and Hiei stepped through hoping that she would know what's wrong with him.
