Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Don't Tell Me ❯ Remedies ( Chapter 4 )
A/N: I've decided to delay the lemon, good me...or bad me, whatever.
Thank you very much for reviewing Dark Priestess ^__^ I love you! (Sorry it took awhile to update)
Now, I just want to know one little thing. What am I doing wrong that NOBODY IS REVIEWING? I'm not posting again until I get another review. Period.
On with the story! (No I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, as if anyone thought that I did...you seriously think Hiei and Kurama would have had clothes on?)

Hiei moaned and pushed back against the hand Kurama had tangled in his hair, simultaneously sliding his hand under Kurama's shirt to caress the heated skin.
When Kurama pulled away, Hiei stared at him numbly, his breathing uneven.
"I can get rid of it for you."
Are you sure you want to get rid of it? He'll leave you the moment the lust spell is gone. He'll leave and never come back.
He won't. We mean more to him than that. We're friends, best friends.
Are we?
"Hn?" was Hiei's intelligent answer.
Don't tell him.
"I have a plant that, when brewed correctly, can nullify almost any enchantment. It will work easily on the simple lust spell."
"Hn." Hiei stared at his hands, deep in thought.
"It's very bitter, I'll warn you. Simply satisfying the lust spell would be far more...pleasurable." You didn't have to add that. I don't need him to reject me...again.
Hiei thought about this for a moment. "Why are you offering when you would rather...`satisfy' me?"
We're easy to read as a book.
Maybe YOUR thinking is too loud and he's picking up on it.
"It is not what you would prefer. You want to be merely friends again...or less." Kurama shook his head slowly, clearing it. The tearstains were still evident on his cheeks as a single drop rolled down unhindered. He'll reject me again. There was a kind of numb acceptance in Kurama's emerald eyes as he decided once again not to hope. He always had to prove himself, always trying to do better, be better, over achieve. It was the only way he could be accepted, be loved...but there was nothing he could do to win Hiei's love. He had won his respect and his trust, but that was all he would ever have.
Hiei stared at his hands. It would be too easy to let loose and take Kurama. The fox was more than willing, after all.
Something holds me back...I- I'm afraid. The admittance shocked him. It was true, he was afraid, but what was there to be afraid of? Kurama was his friend. I can trust him with my life. Why can't I trust him with my heart? Why am I so afraid of the inevitable rejection? He had been rejected so many times. That's it... I don't want to face rejection again. He's a Youko, fickle, spontaneous, clever...and he could never love someone like me. Unrefined, with no experience in anything besides fighting...blundering.... He's perfect.
Kurama closed his eyes. Maybe you're right. Maybe he will leave us. He just doesn't want to hurt our feelings, for some reason.
"Can you make it for me...please? And then...if you still want - if you want...me...then, you can...."
Kurama's heart jumped in his chest, and he smiled broadly. "Alright, but, you want to be just friends. I think that's a good place to start. Maybe we can avoid the mistakes we made last time." He cares; he isn't leaving!
Maybe. I hope so. I...rather like the little demon.
Hiei, never very good at saying just what he meant, merely grunted and smirked slightly: something that could be interpreted as a smile. Kurama wrapped his arms around Hiei rather excitedly. Maybe, just maybe, Hiei did care. There was still a bit to be solved, but the two demons were well on their way to making things work.
Hiei blushed and grunted. When Kurama didn't seem to be interpreting this particular grunt of discomfort, Hiei voiced his thoughts.
"The spell." Kurama looked at him, perplexed. "You haven't done anything about the spell yet."
"Mm, soon. D'you realize I haven't seen you in six years? I want to make up for lost time...." Kurama held Hiei tighter, nuzzling the Koorime's neck and nibbling slightly. It was rather disappointing that they wouldn't go any further than these playful embraces.
"K'rama," Hiei groaned uneasily, "the spell!" `K'rama' finally realized what Hiei was talking about.
"Oooooh! This excites you, huh?" Kurama knew for a fact that much less could excite Hiei, but it was funny to see the color rising in the `emotionless' demon's face. The hard lump he felt was not so funny. It was arousing.
"Alright, alright darlin'! I guess we can wait `til later..." Kurama drawled in a very put-upon manner, and then added, teasingly, "You're sure I don' need to lock ya in here to keep you from jumpin' me?" He thought he heard Hiei mumble, "That might be a good idea," so he called out in a loud voice reserved for the hard-of hearing, "What was that? I can't hear ya!"
"Stupid human ears."
Kurama fetched a bowl and several different oddly colored herbs, which the majority of had probably originated in the Makai. After placing them on the nightstand by his bed, where Hiei was watching curiously, the redhead walked to the bathroom and filled the cup by the sink with water. He was glad he no longer lived with his mother - it wouldn't be fun explaining the presence of a three-eyed demon in `her darling son's' room in the middle of the night. He chuckled as he walked back to the bed and began to mix the herbs.
"Here Hiei," he said as he handed the stainless steal cup to the fire demon, "Boil it, and then slowly pour it in." As Hiei poured the water in, Kurama stirred it with a spoon that had been on the nightstand earlier, lying unnoticed. Hiei's eyes focused on Kurama's delicate but strong hand as it languidly stirred the muddy liquid. There was a faint green glow about his hand, and Hiei could see the glow stirring into the odd concoction.
"Rather like a witch's potion," Hiei murmured aloud, and Kurama chuckled lightly.
"I suppose. Now," He giggled with a purely devilish smile, "drink this."
"..." Hiei stared at the muddy stuff that Kurama had poured into the cup. "Is that safe?"
"Relatively."
"Not the answer I was hoping for..."
"Drink it."
Hiei glared.
"Or fuck me."
Hiei glared harder. (A/N: Oooooh, multiple meanings...)
"Those are your only options."
Or he could fuck us really hard, and then we could fuck him...and if the spell isn't out of his system by then, maybe he can have the potion...if you're too tired to continue....
As good as that suggestion sounds, Hiei said distinctly in their head, I think I'll drink it.
Drink what? Murmured Kurama suggestively back to the demon, even as Shuichi gasped and exclaimed, "How long have you been listening?"
"Long enough."
"Long enough...for what?"
"Just to hear that last comment, but I get the impression there's something you're hiding from me. Is it something you were thinking about earlier?"
This new power Hiei had gave him a certain courage. If Kurama was as afraid of rejection as his human half seemed, Hiei wouldn't have to worry about being rejected himself. Whatever he was to the Youko, he was not a plaything to Shuichi. It was the Youko in him that was sex-obsessed; Shuichi only desired the physical closeness because of the comfort it brought...and, of course, the pleasure, but knowing him as well as he did, he had a feeling that was secondary. Now, he had to deal with whatever it was that made Shuichi seem so guilty.
Kurama stared at his hands, thinking in a mixed up and hazy way.
It's your fault he knows.
Shut up. I hate you! Besides, he can hear us if he wants to.
He won't, though. He has more respect for us than that.
I feel like I'm going to cry. It's your fault it happened to begin with, anyway.
Just tell him and cry it out. It's easier to solve things once they're in the open. Besides, at this point you can't act as if it's nothing. He isn't actually stupid, just bad at verbalizing.
Kurama emotionlessly handed the metal cup to Hiei and listened apathetically as the demon drank. When he heard the distinct thunk of the cup being placed back on the nightstand, he looked up.
"I...cheated...."
"Cheated? Like in poker?"
"Kind of..." Kurama whispered. If you hadn't done it, we wouldn't have to deal with it!
"Kurama, can you just tell me?" There was a plaintive note in Hiei's voice that made Kurama give in. Once it was in the open, it could be fixed...right?
"Look Hiei, I slept with someone else, okay!" One tear made its way down Kurama's cheek. Tonight was not going well.
Hiei stared. "I...forgot you could do that...."
"Huh?" came the redhead's intelligent answer.
"I forgot...you don't mate for life." Hiei mustered a little smile.
"Yes." Kurama looked down, ashamed. "We weren't technically still together, and the Youko wanted it and...I didn't exactly resist."
"That's why you're so ashamed - it wasn't just Youko, it was you, too."
"Yes, I suppose that is the reason." Kurama contemplated the hands that now rested palms up in his lap before continuing. "Can you forgive me Hiei, please?"
"I - it's okay Kurama." Hiei smiled; surprised that Kurama cared what he, Hiei, thought. I do matter to him. "But...now that that's out of the way, how come I'm still hard?"

A/N: Review? Please? *puppy eyes*
Anyway, sorry for the cliff hanger, and sorry it took a while to update. I like cliff hangers, or w/e they're called, actually.
The next chapter may also take a while, at least if I make it a lemon, `cause lemons aren't exactly the thing I'm best at. I'm good imagining them though.
Anyway, please review. ^_^
