Kurama shove a blanket and a water bottle into his backpack. He then zip it up and put it on his back.

"You know that shadow thing has a great advantaged over us." Kurama said as he stood up from his spot and walked over to the door.

"Hn, I know but we have to go, we have to solve this soon I'm getting tired of all this fucking work I rather be practicing." Hiei said as he straps his sword on his back.

Hiei stood in front of the mansion, "you don't forget anything." Hiei look up at the sky it was still dark but in just a couple of hour the sun will rise and will lighten the day.

"No, I'm set"

"Well let's go."

They both ran out of the territory no one made a comment as they started their journey in search of the owner of the shadow.

Kurama was trying real hard to keep up with Hiei. Years ago they were in the same level of speed, but since Kurama chose to live in the ningenkai training only at least once a week unlike Hiei he had to do it almost 24/7.

Hiei notice this and slow down his pace but not by much.

"Whenever you want to rest just tell me." Hiei said.

Kurama nodded and kept the pace Hiei had set.

Kurama looked at the setting sun they had run the whole way. Kurama felt exhausted and out breath he finished his water in gulp which he then regretted.

They had arrive at the entranced of the forest of the, No land of the Makai. The area was called that because no one own it all three major territories were own and what was left over was a section were all outlaws, murderers, thief, nomads lived.

"Where are we going to stay at?" Asked Kurama. It was dark and continuing on will be dangerous they were both tired from running many miles non-stop. Hiei looked around and pointed up.

"Great just what I wanted to sleep in a tree." Muttered Kurama.

"Hn, if you want to sleep on the ground fine with me but being up high has good advantages." Hiei said while tapping his jagan.

Kurama nodded and crouch down then jump up landing on a branch soon he was jumping from branch to branch until he almost reached the peak of the tree. He found a good sturdy branch and sat down.

He looked down at Hiei and in less than a second Hiei was standing in front of Him.

"Seems you still have energy left over." Kurama commented as he took out his blanket and then grew another branch secure his backpack on it.

"Not much, but enough," Hiei said.

Hiei sat down dangling his feet keeping himself balance with his hands.

Kurama gave a big sighed and asked, "Hiei can we talk now?"

Hiei look at Kurama and stared at his emerald eyes for a while then he looked away, "what for?"

"What for! Hiei for the loved of-" Kurama screamed then calm himself down, "Hiei remember five years ago what I said to you, I wasn't lying and I'm not lying now I love you It's been years and I still think about you." Kurama confess hoping Hiei wouldn't react like he had done years ago.

Hiei didn't respond he sat there wondering if he should give himself a chance and seek happiness.

Kurama was about to speak again when Hiei stuttering stop him.

"I-I-I-I- I was afraid and I'm still afraid that you will leave me when you bored with me. I mean after all I'm the forbidden child the prophecy says..."

"Screw the prophecy haven't you heard that prophecies can be broken." Kurama slide forwards to Hiei and embraced him from behind.

Hiei sighed leaning into the embraced he suddenly felt his familiar pain.

"Your horny aren't you" chuckled Kurama as he let his hand wandered downward and felt Hiei's erection trough his clothes.

Hiei blushed, "it the Koorime cycled its when a koorime is suppose to reproduce but since I'm male and half fire demon I'm suppose to find a mate."

"Oh, Hiei please I love you and I want to spend the rest of m life with you." Kurama said as he nuzzles Hiei's neck.

"Kurama I love-" Hiei was cut off he heard a snapping branch.

He took of his ward and checked the area. Some lower class demons were passing by.

Kurama and Hiei were quiet not wanting to get in any altercation for the night. Hiei relaxed when he felt the demons walked away and his erection was gone.

They both sat on the tree branch Kurama was leaning on the trunk of the tree and Hiei was snuggled up in Kurama's embraced.

"Hiei promise me when this is all over that you won't walk away from me again." Kurama said burying his face in Hiei's hair.

"Hai, I promise" Hiei said as he closed his eyes.

Kurama looked up at the sky and soon dozed off.

Kurama slowly open his eyes when he no longer felt Hiei warmth. He looked around and Hiei was no were in sight.

Suddenly Hiei appeared out of nowhere.

"Ready to go?" Hiei asked.

"But the sun is not out yet." Kurama said leaning back on the tree covering his face with his blanket.

"In a half hour it will be now hurried up we got get info I heard that there was a bar ten mile from here we can make it in less than a hour if we run fast." Hiei inform pulling Kurama's blanket.

Kurama pull his blanket back hard that cause Hiei to stumble forwards he land in front of Kurama's face both his hand landing on either side of his face on the tree keeping him from slamming into the Kitsune.

Kurama capture Hiei's lip and kiss him gently soon releasing him.

"We can go." Kurama said as Hiei quickly straighten himself up and jump down trying to hide his blush.

Kurama place his blanket in his backpack and jump down.

"So what are we doing in this bar?" Kurama asked as he ran trying to keep up with Hiei.

"Info, we asked around about the gates to the ningenkai being accessible." Hiei responded.

"What if no one talks?"

"Oh they will" smirk Hiei.

Hiei entered first into the bar, everyone looked at him but soon ignored him when Kurama entered he captured everyone attention. They both went opposite ways.

Hiei reached the counter, "what will you have" a big blue fat demon asked while blinking all four eyes it had.

"Look I need info;" Hiei said placing a gold coin on the counter.

Then blue demon was about to take it when Hiei hid it with his hand.

"About what?"

"Where can I find about the portals," Hiei asked.

"Well some one name Bruke ha -" the demon stop.

Hiei placed two silver coins on the counter.

"He say he has a device install in the portals all you need-"

Hiei place another coin.

"All you need is a Ki disrupter; he'll sell them."

Hiei place another coin on the counter. "Where can I find him?" Asked Hiei.

"From what I know he has two connection a demon named Sixela, you can make deal through him. And the other is shadow you can only see him at night."

"Thanks" Hiei said as he stood up to look for Kurama.

"Hey wait don't you want to know where to find them."

"No, I have other methods" Hiei walked away.

'Damn Mokuro's diplomacy works I'll thank her later when I master my other attack.' Hiei thought.

Kurama went and sat on and empty table. Soon he was surrounded by demons both ugly and disgusting and some that were not.

"Hey baby can I buy you a drink" one asked.

"Hey baby want to come home with me"

"Doubt you have a home" Kurama responded.

Everyone ooh at Kurama's comment.

"I may accept some one's drink if someone can fill me in on something about the portals being accessible." Kurama said.

Only three demons stayed.

"Yeah baby would you like and raid the ningenkai with me." A demon with green scales hissed.

"No, come with me"

"With me baby I'll take you personally to Sixela." The short and brown demon said.

"Where is this Sixela?" Asked Kurama paying more attention to the demons the other two got jealous and pushed him aside.

The green demon said, " I'll take you to him we can have a nice walk going trough the light path."

"Really?" Said Kurama.

"No, I'll take you; he makes his business in an underground cave. To reached him you have to find the underground tunnel after the light path is over."

'Wow this was too easy' Kurama though the he saw Hiei approaching.

"Sorry boys but I have to go." Kurama said as he stood up.

They all turn around to see Hiei giving them death glares.

"Hey, leave we got here first."

No one saw it not even Kurama.

Hiei slam all three of them into a wall and had his katana on all of their neck.

"He's mine" he simply said as he sheathed his katana and walked away grabbing Kurama's wrist and heading out of the bar.

"Jealous aren't we." Kurama said after they reached outside and Hiei let go of him.

"Hn, what you find."

"Direction to the guys place, you"

"Info about they guy, where we heading?" Hiei asked looking at Kurama.

"The light path"

"That's about five miles from here" Hiei said looking toward the deepest end of the woods.

"Then we should go" Kurama said as Hiei started to run and he quickly follow him.

After a few miles the forest thinned up.

"So where from the light path" asked Hiei sensing something wrong.

"They said something about finding the underground tunnel."

"There's two tunnels one that lead toward a center of thugs and hired assassins I used to go there and then there's another one that lead toward a hidden spring not many know about that and since its hard to find." Hiei said.

Kurama walked forwards to the side of the path follow by Hiei. As soon Hiei step next to Kurama the ground underneath the opened up both fell in.

Hiei cursed as he was falling down trying to grab a hold of something but the sides of the tunnel were slick.

Kurama shriek as they both fell down a tunnel. They slid down twisting and turning both trying desperately to grab on to something but only to find mud.

Hiei closed his eyes as they were being cover by mud Kurama did the same.

Hiei wiped his eyes with the back of his hand trying to see what was in front of him. He could clearly see Kurama's face.

Finally they came to an exits they flew up high in the air then pummel downward lading in a huge pit of mud. Making huge plop sound.

"Now I now why no ones come to the spring," Hiei said while spitting the mud out of his mouth.

Kurama looked around they were floating in some kind of lake of mud.

Hiei try to walked toward the edged of the lake of mud but ended up going under.

"Hiei" Kurama panicked, as the Koorime didn't come up.

Kurama stuck his hand downwards looking for him while trying to not go under himself.

Suddenly there was a tug and his hand was cut he pulled it out to see he had grasp Hiei's Katana.

He threw the object to 'shore' and dug his hand again finally feeling his hand grab on some thing he pulled up,

Hiei gasped for air as Kurama help him out by grabbing the sheath of the sword since that was on a strap.

"Shit that wasn't fun" Hiei gasped.

"No shit Sherlock who help you figure that out."

"Not Holmes I'll tell you that baka Kitsune now how the hell are we going to get out?" Hiei screamed.

"Well shore not too far away but if we moved too much we'll sink." Kurama said as he looked around. He saw that when he threw Hiei's sword it landed getting stuck in the dirt.

"I have an idea" Kurama said as he carefully pulled out a seed and bloom it into a rose and making it into a whip but with out thorns.

"You better pray this work this will be humiliating cause of death drown in a lake of mud." Hiei said while watching Kurama.

Kurama pulled his hand back and twirled the whip on the air and then aimed for the sword but miss.

He the lost balance. Hiei managed to get to him and wrapped his arms around him.

" Both of us together can keep us in balance after you throw your whip."

Kurama nodded and try again.

He wanted to jump in joy when he wrapped his whip around Hiei's sword.

"Lets hope it stuck well." Kurama said as he pulled slowly while grunting the mud was very thick and Hiei's weight didn't help the he felt his hand being cover by Hiei' Hiei made his reached the whip and pulled themselves to shore careful to not pulled the sword out.

After hours pass they reached to shore a gravel ground out of the lake.

Kurama collapsed down sprawling his hand and legs apart Hiei fell on top of Kurama and grunting.

"I think we should camp in here tonight and continued tomorrow we were stuck in there for a while." Hiei said.

"I agreed isn't there a lake here where we can clean up. The spring where is it." Kurama asked as he turned to lye on his back and letting Hiei fall on the ground.

Hiei look up, "some where deeper in the cave"

Kurama ran his fingers through Hiei's hair. "I guess we got a free mud facial," Kurama chuckle.

"Ha ha let go clean up." Hiei said as he slowly stood up but the slipped on the mud stuck in his boots and he fell down on top of Kurama.

Kurama wrap his arms around Hiei but they were too slippery and Hiei try to get up but you keep on sliding his hand on Kurama chest.

"I hate mud" Hiei said as he rolled off Kurama and stood up again.

Kurama chuckle and stood up and walked deeper in the cave.

Hiei quickly sheathed his Katana and follow the Kitsune.

"How much more?" Kurama said as he dragged his feet on the ground the mud had dried up and it was uncomfortable to walk.

"Almost there I can hear the water." Hiei said

"Really!" Kurama scream he needed to clean up fast and his hair needed treatment he didn't like it having it dirty and tangle up. He started to run.

Hiei just watched the crazy Kitsune run he walked the same pace. After a few minutes he reached the exist of the cave.

He stood there looking at the sight it was like a giant hole he look up to see the setting sun. A great big waterfall and the lake was huge the water was clear and flower and all sort of colorful plant grew long side of the lake.

He saw Kurama tasking off his clothes rapidly and jumping.

Hiei got a good view of his ass. Hiei gulped as he was getting turn on again.

"Hiei come in the water is great." Kurama called as he dove under.

Hiei slowly reached where Kurama had his thing he took of his dirty ward off and checked the area it was completely deserted. The entranced to the cave was close and he found and exit behind the waterfall. He open his eyes and his jagan closed. He took of his clothes slowly and the hurriedly got into he lake diving under and then coming up shaking the dirt out of his hair.

Kurama was having the time of his life the place was so beautiful he love it he could feel his Yoko aspect remembering the night he spend next to lakes surrounded by plant life. The plants seem to grow and get brighter as they sensing Kurama's Ki.

He saw Hiei swimming to the waterfall. Kurama hurried up to catch the fire demon.

Hiei stepped on the flat rock surface getting under the rush of water cleaning his hair.

"This is nice" Kurama commented

"Hn" Hiei said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Kurama walked close to Hiei wrapping his arms around the fire demon.

"You know I still think it's weird you being as tall as me." Kurama said as he nuzzles his neck.

A moaned escaped Hiei as he then hn'ed.

Finally clean they both jump back to the lake.

"We have to clean our clothes." Hiei said

"We should let the water pressure washed the dirt off" Kurama said as he swam to get their clothes.

Hiei dove under exploring the under ground of the lake. He swam around reaching the bottom. He then resurface to get more air when he saw Kurama swimming towards him.

"Done all we need is to build a fire for the night and were set." Kurama said.

Hiei looked around to find an old log on the far side of the lake.

"That can work." Hiei was going to swim out to it when Kurama grab his hand.

"Not now later" Kurama said as he got closer to Hiei wrapping his arms around his waist bringing them closer.

Hiei closed his eyes as both members came in contact and soon his was coming to life. Kurama felt this and started to get aroused.

Hiei swam towards the waterfall to retrieve their clothes.

Kurama swam out of the lakes and pulled his blanket out of his dirty backpack the only thing that didn't get mud on.

Kurama dip the backpack washing of the dirt and then place it on the ground. Hiei threw the clothes on Kurama backpack. And walked towards the dry log with his sword in hand.

Kurama couldn't help but whistle at Hiei retreating ass. Hiei grunted as he quickly cut the log to piece and walked back to their thing. Kurama had made the grass grown more where they were going to sleep making the ground soft and comfortable.

Hiei soon started the fire and set the clothes on the ground close to fire for them to dry.

Kurama wrapped the blanket around him. And sat a few feet away from the fire he looked up at the sky the sun had completely set and the moon shone brightly along with the stars.

Kurama brought his arms out to invited Hiei to join him. Hiei got closer to Kurama and sat in front of him. Kurama cover them both with the blanket.

Kurama let his hands wandered to Hiei back and stated to massage the tensed muscles.

"Hiei relax" Kurama whispered on Hiei's ear while biting and sucking on his earlobe.

Hiei leaned back resting his head on Kurama's neck.

Kurama kept on working his thumb around Hiei's shoulder blades making the knots of tension disappear.

Hiei closed his eyes and leaned into he touch a moan escaped the depths of his throat and he could feel his member hardening up again.
