Chapter 2

 

On my way to the store, I hear someone talking. I decided to follow the voice.

 

~That sounds like Suiichi!~

 

“There is something strange about her. She isn't normal,” Suiichi said

 

~NOT NORMAL!?!?!?!?! HOW DARE HE!!!!~

 

“Well… I think we should check this Rain girl out. What Does she look like?” a boy with gelled back hair asked.

“Well, She has long wavy red hair. It is down to her waist. She also has purple eyes. She is about Hiei's height.”

 

“So she's a shrimp!” another kid laughed.

 

~SHRIMP!? I'M NOT THAT SHORT!~

“So where do we start looking?” said the boy with the gelled back hair asked.

 

“Well, her dad kicked her out of her house last night, so she is staying with me.”

“Well lets go get her!” Suddenly, they all started walking toward me. I tried to run for it, but I would be too noticeable. Then I remembered that I was supposed to be shopping so I walked by pretending not to notice them.

 

“Rain!”

 

“Suiichi! Hey! I didn't expect to see you here. Your mom asked me to go shopping for her. Who're your fri-“

 

“Hey beautiful!” said an ugly boy with orangey hair. “I am the great Kazuma Kuwabara! We were meant to be! I just knew it when I saw the red pinky string of love!”

 

“Get off of me you baka!” I yelled as I punched him in the face.

 

“Hey! You're not as weak as you look!” said the other boy

 

“What's that supposed to mean?!” I screamed in his face.

 

“Kurama. Are you sure this feisty woman is something special?” he said ignoring me.

 

“Feisty?! Wait a minute! Suiichi? Why did he just call you Kurama?”

 

“Oops….. umm…. Hi! I am Yusuke. You might want to sit down. This is going to be a long story”

 

“I'm listening.” I snarled at him.

 

##################An Hour Later################

 

“So if your real name is Kurama, how come your mom calls you Suiichi?”

 

“She doesn't know about Yoko. When Yoko was hunted down, he was about to die, so he reincarnated himself in this body. My mother must know nothing about this. So please don't use my real name in front of her.”

“Sure… No problem.....”

 

“Are you ok?” Kuwabara asked?

 

“Yeah… This is just a whole lot to swallow….”

 

“Yes, well, we need to take you to Koenma's. He will want to speak with you.”

 

“Ok…. Where is this Koenma guy?”

 

“Spirit World!” Yusuke shouted gleefully.

 

“WHAT?!?!?!?! DOES THIS MEAN THAT YOU ARE GOING TO KILL ME?!?!?!?!?!”

 

“Not at all. There is a portal in the forest. We will take you there.”

 

We walked into the forest and then a portal opened up. “WOAH! What is that thing!?”

 

“It is a portal to the spirit world,” Kurama said as Yusuke pushed me in.

 

“AHHHHHH!!!!” I screamed as I landed on my butt in a very nice office. “What was that for, Yusuke?! And where is this Koenma dude?!”

 

“I'm right here,” said a voice. The big red chair swung around and I saw…

 

“A BABY?! THERE'S NO WAY A BABY COULD RUN SPIRIT WORLD!! WHERE IS THE REAL KOENMA!!!” I screamed.

 

“I am Koenma. Would it satisfy you if I looked the part, Rain?”

 

“Yes. But how do you know my name?!”

 

“I know all,” he said sarcastically. ^POOF^

 

“Why are you Laughing, Yusuke?” I said with a confused look on my face.

 

“You are so funny!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! You know, I had the same reaction when I died!”

 

“You died?!”

 

“Yup!”

 

“AHHHHH! ZOMBIE!!!!! GET BACK YOU!!!”

 

“Rain… There are no such things as zombies…. Just ogres.” Koenma said

 

“Ogres? What are they?”

 

Koenma pressed a big red button on his desk. “Botan! Send in George!”

 

“Right away, Lord Koenma!” a girl's voice said.

 

Suddenly, the huge double doors swung open. And standing in the doorway was a monster.

 

“Wha- What is that thing?!”

 

“I am an ogre, Miss Rain. I am one of Lord Koenma's assistants.” The ogre said as he shook my hand.

 

“Thank you, George. You may resume what you were doing.”

 

“Yes, Lord Koenma.”

 

“Now…. Can we get down to business?”

 

“Yes!” we all said in unison.

 

“Ok. Rain… while you were screaming, I ran a few background checks on you and it seems that Kurama was right. You are a demon.”

 

“A-a demon? I'm sorry, sir. But there is no way I could ever be a demon.”

 

“I'm afraid that it's true. You are a Kitsune Demon..... A fox demon.”

 

“umm…. Ok? Why is this so important?” I said completely clueless.

 

“Well, you need to learn to control your power. Yusuke and Kuwabara will teach you to fight, and Hiei and Kurama will teach you to use your powers. Speaking of Hiei… Where is he? BOTAN!”

 

“Yes?” a girl said as she bounced into the room. She had light blue hair and pink eyes.

 

“Go get Hiei.”

 

“I'll be right on it. But first, I want to meet Rain!”

 

“Wait a minute! How do you know my name, Woman?”

 

“Everyone here knows your name! By the way, I am Botan!” she said happily.

 

“Urm… so what is your job here?”

 

“I am the Grim Reaper!”

 

“The Grim Reaper?! You don't look very grim to me.”

 

^sigh^ “Were you expecting me to look like this?” She pulled out a hooded cloak and a scythe.

 

“Ahh… That's better!” I said.

 

“Well… I am off to fetch Hiei! Muahahahahaha!!!!”

 

“Hmm…. Grim doesn't suit her….”

 

“Yeah… I think you're right, Yusuke.” I said.

 

Suddenly a black blur rushed past me. I looked in the direction that it was going and I saw a boy with spiky black hair sitting on the windowsill.

 

“Hiei.” Kurama said.

 

“Hn.” Hiei said.

 

“This girl is Rain. She is a demon. Lord Koenma wants us to train her.”

 

“Hn. Baka Onna.”

 

~Wow…. This Hiei guy sounds like a total jerk!~

 

“I heard that, Onna!”

 

“I didn't say anything!!! Wait a minute! You can read minds?!”

 

“Hn. We will begin tomorrow at sun up. You better be there.”

 

“Talkative one, aren't we.”

 

“Die.”

 

“No thank you.” I said. Then it hit me. “Shit! I was supposed to be shopping for your mother! I think we need to go!”

 

“Baka Onna…”

 

“Then I will accompany you to the store.” Kurama said.
