“We're home, Mother.”

 

“Yeah! We have all the groceries!”

 

“Thank you. Both of you.”

 

“Mother. Rain and I won't be here in the morning when you get up. We need to go to a friend's house. We will be gone all day.”

 

“Ok, Suiichi! I love you honey!”

 

“I love you, too, Mother.”

 

After we went upstairs, we started talking again. “Your mother seems like a really nice person… I can see why you wouldn't want to worry her about the whole Yoko thing. It would devastate her to find out that her only son was really a demon.”

 

“Since you are really a demon, you'll have to leave here and live in Genkai's Temple. Genkai is a friend of ours. She is the one who trained Yusuke and Kuwabara.”

 

###################The Next Day###################

 

“Rain. Wake up. You're late. We'll have to run to make it.”

 

“Wha?” I said as I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes “Wait. We're late?!” I then jumped out of my bed and pushed Kurama out the door so I could get dressed. I got dressed in a black tank top and a pair of baggy black pants with chains on them. “I'm ready!” I said happily to Kurama.

 

“Wow. That was fast. Let's go,” he said.

 

We ran for about a mile until we got to Genkai's temple. When we got there, we walked to where we are supposed to be training. Hiei wasn't there yet.

 

“I thought he said that we couldn't be late? So why isn't he here?”

 

“He's here.” Kurama said calmly.

 

“What do you mean? I don't see him anywhere!”

 

“This is part of your training. You have to be able to sense things. Now concentrate. Try to sense something abnormal about your surroundings.”

 

“Ok.” I closed my eyes and tried to sense him. “There,” I said. I pointed to a big tree.”

 

Suddenly, Hiei appeared in front of me. “Hn.”

 

“Wrong answer.” Hiei said, and disappeared again.

 

“Ok, Rain. Let's try again. Remember to concentrate.”

 

I closed my eyes again. “He's not here.”

 

“Yes he is. He is just hiding his energy so you can't find him. We will alos teach you how to do that. Now. Concentrate.”

 

~Ok, Rain! You have to concentrate! Remember, he's a eal jerk, so you want to find him so you can wack him on the head!~

 

I was more determined now. I closed my eyes a third time. “Hmm… no…. not there…. Here either….. THERE!” I said as I opened my eyes

 

“Hn.”

 

“It seems you've found him. Good job, Rain. That is all for today. Tomorrow, you will train with Yusuke and Kuwabara when you get back from school.”

 

“What? I have to go to school?! I hate school and it hates me!”

 

“I'm sorry, Rain. But that is the way it has to be. Now. Botan should be back with your things by now, so let's go inside and see your new room.

####################Inside the Temple####################

 

“Master, Genkai.” Kurama said to an old woman who was shorter tha hiei and had faded out pink wavy hair.

 

“Kurama…. This must be Rain…. The Dimwit told me all about you. Welcome to my home.”

 

“Thank you so much! But who is `The Dimwit'?”

 

“Oh, him?... That's Yusuke.”

 

“Oh, Right…. I'll have to tease him about it..”

 

“Ah… a funny one…. I like you, girl.”

 

“Yay! Thank you, Master Genkai!”

 

“Please don't call me Master. It makes me feel old.”

 

“Yes, Ma--… Genkai.”

 

“Much better.”

 

“hehe….”

 

“Well, Hiei and I will show you to your room now.”

 

“Ok!”

 

####################In My Room####################

 

“WOW! It is so big!”

 

“And it is all yours. You can do what you want with it. You can even paint it if you want.”

 

“YAY!”I screamed happily as I grabbed Hiei's hands and started dancing.

 

“Get off me, Onna!” he snarled.

 

“Oh, I am so sorry…. I … I… uh…. I was so happy… I didn't realize…” unable to continue my sentence, I blushed and let go of his hands.

“Hm? Hiei? Did you say something?”

 

~Damn! She's a telepath. I'll have to be careful around her.~

“Hmm… I could have sworn you said something…. Oh well… Now,” I said with an evil grin. “I would like you both to leave while I decorate. Muahahahaha!!!”

 

“Ok.” Kurama said as he and Hiei backed slowly out the door and shut it behind them.

 

####################A Few Hours Later####################

 

“Ah-Ha!” I said gleefully. “It is finally finished!” Looking at the finished product, I was extremely happy with myself. What most people could do in a few days, I had completed in the matter of hours. I ran down the stairs.

 

####################As I Finish####################

 

“Hey, Kurama. What's going on up there?”

 

“I don't know. It sounds like she might be redecorating…. “

 

“Helloooooo, Boys!”

 

“Hey!” Yusuke said. “Umm… What was going on up there? It sounded like a War was being waged!'

 

“Wow, Yusuke. I didn't know you knew what Waged meant…. But no… I was decorating my room.”

“Oh…”

 

“Hey, Guys! Yukina says dinner's ready!” Botan said.

 

“Yukina? Who is she?”

 

“Oh, she is Kuwabara's girlfriend… But don't tell shrimpy I told you this, but she is also Hiei's sister. Don't say a word about it though. Yukina and Kuwabara don't know about it yet.”

 

“Oh…. Ok, Yusuke. I'm famished! What's for dinner!?”
