Chapter 5

The same thing went on for weeks we slept in the tree and spent all day training. I noticed the small amount of fat that we all had was slowly turning in to hard muscle. I wanted to do more then just exercise it was getting boring koenma had go back to the spirit world along with Botan so now Alex, Hailey, missy, Kuwabara, Yuusuke, Hiei and I had to cook. So we where all surprised when koenma came to give us some info.

"Alex, Hailey, Melissa, Ashley you will all be starting you new training today you will be taught to weald you sprit energy in a fighting form, it will be hard but well worth it in the long run." Koenma told us. (FINALY something else to do besides working out!) I thought happily I couldn't wait to learn fists of the mortal flame. Now I under stud my love for flames and sweet snow (; ))

Koenma lead us outside. The cool spring air brushed by my checked the out side so familiar to me Alex and Hailey came into view. It looked so different from when we seen it in the dark. I noticed a large circle in the middle that was made of weight paint. I suspected that it was for Alex missy Hailey and me to badel each outhe in a duel (oh I will saver the sweet taste of victory agents Missy and her `soon to be spirit sword'.

"Hn so my karate training will come in handy rather then me just using it to torcher the baka ningens" I mumble under my breath thoughtfully. All though I all ways liked swords.

"Will we be taught how to fight with swords" Hailey said reading my mind.

"yes if you find yourself interested in swordsmanship then you can have Hiei teach you but since Ashley and Melissa can make swords from sprit energy the will be taught swordsmanship no mater what" Botan said as if she was speaking to a two year old.

Koenma then directed us towards our teachers and we began our training. I heard Melissa insulting me under her breath.

"Tojikomeru maro noroi ningens" I insulted her in Japanese witch she did not under stand only me Alex Hiei Botan Koenma Kurama and Kuwabara knew it witch left Hailey and missy out in the cold. Missy who seamed to be my best friend at one time had hated me ever since she found out who Kuwabara was and I constantly insulted Missy and Kuwabara which got missy mad But, she couldn't cone up with a good come back for an insult she didn't even understand.

"Yurushi dzuki kiru za ningen" Alex said confusing missy even more. She began an insult but I cut her of.

"its amazing how every time you open your mouth you manage to prove you an idiot." I told her.

"I'm gona call you something so bad your gona cry" missy said stuttering

"Hn, I've herd similar comments from a number of poor fools whose memories I've kept alive by dancing on their tomb stones now, you wouldn't want to be the next tomb stone we dance on would you?" Alex and I said together throwing Missy dark looks she was speech less we had gained up on her, I was reading Alex's mind and Alex was reading mine in the process.

"Goshujin non kai hon toki" I said to missy toping of the heap of threats she was drowning under. Alex and I turned our backs on Missy at the exact same time and walked away ignoring her mumbles on how we where stupid (we got her good) I thought.

Hiei lead me in to the center of the training field. His stare cut threw me like a knife through butter; I stared back feeling Alex's eyes burning into my back, I hated that feeling. Knowing if some one was staring at you without watching them just thinking about it gave me chills.

"We will start with swordsmanship then you will begin you demonic training." Hiei told me studying my expressionless face.

"I do not own a sword to start training with" I said keeping my face as stern as possible. Hiei looked at me.

"Hn, figured we will start with sticks you will train againsed me until you are able to manage a sword then you will get an dull sword and practice with armor on this training will leave you scared if you are wounded badly then go to Botan she will heal you then you can start over." Hiei commented

(He believes me to be a weak and helpless human) I thought (I will show him that he is very, very wrong). Hiei walked intro the woods and found two sticks .He gave me one of the sticks and showed me how to hold it then how to stand in a fighting position. He made me feel like an idiot explain thing as if I where two years old! The anger boiled up inside me and I knew that he was ready to murder me in a fight. Hiei told me that we would start the hard part now he showed me many complexes moves I listened intently wanting to fight him with the stick but knowing he had years of training and would definitely win.

"After you get the hang of a sword you will be taught to create one of spirit energy, I am not very fond of this fighting stile but it might come in handy to you then when you can weald that you will fight agenized you friend Melissa" he told me

"You call that bitch a friend? Any ways I don't just hand out my trust to people on silver platters she must earn it and she has definitely not earned it. Friends like her are just a crutch for the weak." I said harshly. Hiei stared at me amazed that I could curse a person so badly yet seam so innocent on the out side. I knew if Alex was hear she would back me up.

I trained for weeks with a stick then with a dulled sword finally I was ready for a real sword I rummaged threw my draws in search for every last penny I had, then giving it to Botan. I gave her a description of the sword I wanted and she went to a weaponry shop in Japan. I wanted for her to arrive all day finally at diner she arrived with my sword. Alex was able to do two of her spirit guns the Shotgun and the Rei Gun and missy had been trained in swordsmanship as I was pulse Hailey could use her rouse whip I watched Botan fly towards the house on her oar holding a long slender package that contained me sword. Botan landed gracefully on the grass and walked towards the door seeing my face pressed agenized the window she smiled warmly despite the cold winter breeze that would have frozen Ningens to death. I rushed to the door to great her she gave me the package and tried to give me the extra money.

"No, Botan keep it you deserve it think of it as payment for me making you go all the way Tokyo just to get a sword." I said pushing the money in to her hands.

"No, I can't" she protested

"Take it" I said losing my patients "before I change my mind"

"o.k." said Botan pocketing the money "what's for diner?"

"Egg salad sandwiches" I said

"Who made them?" Botan questioned

"I did" I replied "chicken salad, egg salad and P.B.and J sandwiches are all I can make!" I ran then down the hall way to Alex's and my room and left my sword there (I'll open it after diner) I thought. As I rushed back to the kitchen table taking a seat next to Alex .I whispered in Alex's ear to tell Hailey to meet me at our room 20 minutes early, I want to show her my sword. So Alex told Haley and the rest of the meal went on in silence.

That night I stood pacing waiting for Hailey to get there finally she came

"Are you waiting for me" she asked surprised at my patents.

"No where waiting for Christmas what do you think!!" I said sarcastically my bad temper kicking in again.

"O.K. Ashley no need to chop of her head the moment she gets in the door!" Alex said trying to keep the peace because causing chaos was my specialty!

"O.k. so Hailey you want to see my sword?" I asked her kindly

"Have you seen it already" Hailey asked me.

"No but it should have black on it that all I asked Botan to do." I replied. I slowly ripped of the paper when Alex and Hailey where on my bed. The sword had a black handle with shimmering Jules that when you tipped them to the light they looked like flames. The leather cover of the sword had two words engraved on it in Japanese

Kaji-yasha there was a small piece of paper in the box it read,

Ashley,

I found you a sword out of hoursof looking I found one that you will love. The swords leathercovering reads female fire demon on the front and faiabikou on the back which means fire shadowin English I hope you like it!!

Botan

I flipped the sword over to see if it had a strap and it did. Finally I unsheathed it the metal part of the blade was black and from the point of the blade to almost halfway up where brilliant flames so vivid they looked real surrounding the flames was all black the sword amazed me. Hailey ran her finger gently down the sword and immediately blood gushed out of her finger she minced in pain and I leaned over to get a better look. Suddenly Alex touched the wound and closed her eyes bright blue light surrounded her finger and the cut was gone.

"Healing powers, Botan taught them to me" Alex explained to us.

"Will she teach me?" Hailey asked Alex.

Yes she said that females with any kind of spirit power should be able there heal with there powers" Alex explained to Hailey.

Good with Botan Alex and you Hailey to heal each other in fights then we'll have nothing to worry about when we go into fights" I stared in to Hailey's eye and noticed something different. "Hailey did you get contacts?" I asked her curiously.

"No why do you ask?" she asked confused

"Because your eyes are green!" Alex said amazed at Hailey's change in eye color

"Ashley stand in the light" Hailey commanded I slowly got up and walked toward the window then turned to face them.

"And your eyes are red Ashley!" Alex told me I ran to the mirror on the wall with Haley and stared into my own eyes

Haley then took of her glasses "and I can see with out my glasses! Said Hailey excitedly her newly green eye shone in the full moon. But I still store in the mirror looking at my hair it was once a very dark brown with blue highlights on the tips was now pitch black though the blue highlights remained.

"Alex Hailey look at my hair!" I said

"What it doesn't look any different to me" Alex said

I picked up the pillow and pressed it up ageneses the side of my head. "Hello Alex my hair is midnight black not that I don't like it…" I told them enthusiastic

"Let's go to sleep and ask Botan about this in the morning" said Alex yawning. So we jumped out the window and slept in a tree as usual.

This chapter is longer then most of my other chapter's and it's more in to the Japan then the last where here are the English translations to the Japan words Alex and Ashley used,
