That night was ruff I had bad dreams and plenty of them.

~ ~ ~ the dream~ ~ ~

I was a ningen a weak and helpless ningen something was after me something…

I was in a dark room completely content with never coming out humming a song I new by heart

"Freezing the darkness inside, running through that thing before me
I won't even hesitate to betray it" the thing that live in my soul that I hide from as a child I attacked it with all my power and I never was able to overpower it

My Dark Side" a silver figure appeared as I had scarcely utters the last word it echoed back to me two more stanzas from the song.

I stared into the things eyes they became more and more intense as it stepped forward to meet me as I sang more of the song though this time it was not my chose something was making me do it at if the monster held me in a telepathic bond with his mind

the tears don't even command strength, only dependence"

The monster also knew this song it stepped closer to utter the last lines of the song

And at that it stepped so close to me I could feel its hot breath lick my face as I struggled to see it amazed I cried out the monster looked exactly like me only its hair was a silver this was the small amont of light that lived in me. The monster that I had bean afraid of all those years was nothing more than my good side since I was my dark side.

~ . ~End of nightmare~ . ~

I woke up and fond myself to be at the forest Flore I winced in pain as I had fallen from the top of a tall tree.

"Alex, Alex wake up!" I Called to her "and whatever you do don't role over your still in the tree" Alex woke and looked down at me I motioned for her to come down.

"What's up?" Alex asked curiously.

"I fell from the tree I think I my have sprained my arm" I confessed to her I hated showing pain but this was serious.

"O.K. witch arm" Alex yawned as I pointed to my right arm. "Where do you think you sprained it" she asked as I pointed to my wrist. She touched it in that spot pain surged throughout my body but I didn't show it. Alex once again closed her eyes and a blue light surrounded my wound the pain was gone.

"You better thank Botan for teaching you how to heal people because it definitely comes in handy" I called up to her as she climbed up to her branch on the tree.

"Ok whatever" she called down to me I didn't clime up the tree or tell her about my dream I trusted her extremely but I would breathe my last breath before any person thought of me as pathetic or vulnerable so, in other words I would die for my pride. So I did not slumber but I watched the sun rise over the October Mountains until Alex and Hailey awakened.

That morning I cooked scrabbled eggs but I didn't eat. I fiddled with my hair looking at its newly midnight black then I notice that the strip of hair in that was my bangs was a silvery Wight I decided to ask about this.

"Botan" I said breaking the silence of the breakfast table everyone stared at me "Botan" I repeated "Hailey's eyes are green and her once blonde hair has a slight tint of orange." I said coldly "my eyes are red and my hair is black with one streak of Wight what is happening to us?" I questioned her

"You know that both you and Hailey are demons right?" Botan asked us

"Yes" Hailey and I answered at the same time.

"Well Hailey you a demon of earth and Ashley you're a demon of flame so all fire demons have red eyes and black hair and all most all earth demons have green eyes and red hair. You know that when we where forced to give you to humans that we had to change some of you individual features so we changed them so that when your powers where awakened when you started training that you demonic resemblance would come back so you becoming a deep down demon to total it all up." Botan complete in just one breath.

"Well that explains it" I muttered under my breath returning to my eggs.

~We continued the training for weeks until Halloween was upon us~.~ and Yusuke had a big surprise for us!

"Oh oh oh is it SUGAR?" Alex said as we ran down the hall to meat Yusuke

"No Yusuke knows better then to give you sugar" Hailey answered in her sophisticated QUIET voice

"I heard about a club down in Japan having a party do you guys want to come?" Yuusuke asked "and Melissa Kuwabara wants to see you o.O" as

Missy walked to Kuwabara's room I remember today was Halloween!!!!

"Hn, The only person who would love a missy is Kuwabara looks like missy is gona have a date" I commented on missy's death walk.

"And with lumbering brainless Kuwabaka I mean Kuwabara" Alex said as I snicker under my breath I could see Hailey doing the same. Unexpectedly Botan appeared,

"If you don't want to go to the party you can stay home and clean the house with me!" Botan told us. I wasn't gona go to a stupid ningen party but id rather go to the party than be forced into cleaning Kuwabara's room. "So who's staying behind!" Botan asked cheerily as noon erased there hand. Looking anoid she slumped away.

"I think I'll where a little costume this year" Alex reported to us "how about you guys?"

"I'll go as a fire demon with a sward and everything" I said it was the easesast plan since I already was a fire demon "how about you Hailey?" I questioned her

"I'll go as an earth demon I'm already an earth demon so I'll just walk around with a rose in my hair" Hailey said then we walked of into our rooms. I decided to change I wore a pair of black pants and a black t-shirt with flames around the hem. Absentmindedly I waited for Alex to return I was waiting to see what see would be. Finally she entered the room.

"Hn" I couldn't think of anything to say but `Hn' she was a kitsun. Alex wore a shirt with a large anime/chibbie cat head on it long gloves that went halfway up her arms with small cats on them and pants with cat along the hem in all different positions she had a `tail' that was stuffed with metal running on the inside so she could position it and of course the ears she was an orange kitsune (she had an orange tail and ears) because of her hair (her hair color is orange)

"Hn," I repeated "nice costume" I reported to her sarcastically though at first she didn't get it.

"You really think so" she said twirling around to show me the entire destine.

"No, don't you recognize that I'm a very sarcastic person by now?" I said back to her thinking she would know my sarcastic personality by now. She surged that was her trademark surging as mine was saying Hn a LOT.

"Ashley you should learn some patience" Alex lectured me "you remember the time at school we had a community meeting and you where ready to chop the next persons head of who made you angry"

"So, my impatiens in none of your business" I turned a stared at the wall "After the stupid ningen party" I muttered under my breath so Alex couldn't hear me "I'll leave for the weekend to get the jagan implanted" I drew a tear gem from my pocked and smiled menacingly.

PARTY

Every one went to the party no one wanted to stay behind to help Botan clean. I still felt in debut for having her get my sword so I explained her to just let the people who inhabited each room to clean there on room when we got back. Botan agreed and we all went to the party (except for koenma he stayed in the spirit world). When we got there I sat down at a table and watched Kurama getting trampled by hundreds of girls who wanted him to dance with them. Hiei and Alex soon found the table I was at and sat down (the table was one of those cool circle booth type things) the booth was small so I was between Hiei and Alex.

Alex pointed at missy and Kuwabara "look at them stumble over each other"

"Ningen fools they have no balance whatsoever" I snickered "if Kuwabara took out his brain he'd be smarter" This time Alex laughed Hiei let out a chuckle and I store at him `Hiei gust laughed I must be imagining it' I thought but I managed to see a menacing smile across his lips as he stared at Kuwabara's turned back

"Oh look, the ninjas are revolting..." Hiei said to us we continued to make nasty comments until I got a throbbing headack something… or someone was trying to enter my mind… it was Hiei I could tell but what did he want from me? I didn't tell him I knew what he was doing but I ducked under the table

"Alex, Hiei do you want a drink" I questioned them hoping to break Hiei's concentration.

"you can get me a sprite" Alex replied Hiei still store into my eyes

"Anything for you Hiei?" I asked this was my last chance to break his concentration. By Hiei shock his head As I walked away I could fell his eyes burning on the back of my neck I got Alex's drink and sat back down. the fight with Hiei in my mind had goon on long enough I gave one final shove agonized Hiei's conscious and drew back .Hiei rammed his way through my mind it made me cringe but he was gentle (for Hiei) he seamed to only make sure I was in no trouble but he rested on the moment before we left to the party when I stated that the jagan implanting would begin tonight. He then spoke to me through the telepathic connection.

`I have no objection for you jagan implanting going on this weekend I will leave a note that states you left for a stroll through the woods and I decided to follow I see you already have a tear gem where did you get it ningen?' these words rang in my head until I replied,

`when I was very little a young girl about 12 gave it to me when I failed a spelling test she told me to do what I pleas with it that it brings good luck but it also had a purpose in the girls life that night she was hit by a car crossing the street to school I tried to find the girls parents but it appeared she had non I keep the tear gem so I could try to find her parents and I succeeded but her parents had died 6 years after her birth and her step parents died a year after her death. And you seen to have forgotten who you are talking to I am no ningen but a fellow fire demon and I have no objection to you coming along on my journey anyways I don't know the way' I replied if I had to speak that I would be out of breath in 10 seconds flat lucky I only had to think it.

Suddenly Kurama appeared he was panting and very frantic I knew what was happening Hiei pulled back from our teopathic bond and mouthed 5:78 I nodded.

"Help me Hiei" Kurama panted

Just then a stream of girls' cam in screaming I mouthed for Hiei to hold them of "tell them he went outside that should seat them of track for a while" I yelled to him as he headed of the fan girls. I stuffed Kurama under the table then Missy cam over as I seen all the Kurama fan girls run outside.

"Kuwabara just told me his life story" (sob) "It's so sad" missy began to sob

"you know what they say or at least what I say `there is not a heart in this world that doesn't bear scars if there was it would be a shallow soul' but Kuwabara's a shallow soul anyway." I replied to her these words made the crying stop.

"You little hianei your Short, arrogant, aloof, cynical, mocking, pessimistic sarcastic, bad-tempered, gruff and outwardly cold!" she bellowed

"since when did you learn Japanese and bad-tempered and gruff mean the same thing you probably had to look up all those words up in the dictionary BEFOR you could you them all in one sentence!" I was not at all taken back by her calling me arrogant, aloof, cynical, mocking, pessimistic sarcastic, bad-tempered, gruff and outwardly cold but calling me short took you down a one way street I like to call PAIN "I will finish this little fight with you Monday bring all the strength you can muster you will need it and your precious Kuwabaka can not help you" I replied to her coldly I had the urge to trip her and then beat her to a pulp but at least she could have nightmares of the pain she will soon endure. Kurama's head then popped out from under the table,

"Have you seen Hailey anywhere" he asked me and Alex (Hiei was one again staring into space)

"No why?" Alex asked the fox.

"Because I wanted to ask if she wanted to dance…" Kurama's hand went behind his head and his face was almost as red as his hair. This got Hiei's attention.

"Hn, fox has fallen for the earth demon, she is over there with Botan" I answered his question and he ran in Hailey's direction. I watched his back as he asked Hailey to dance Hailey's face when as red as her newly red hair but nun the less she nodded eagerly as Kurama took her hand and led her to the UN populated side of the dance floor.

I noticed that Alex had now two tails instead of just one and for ears instead of just two and pulse her second tail was big and bushy like a fox tail so I grabbed her arm and without saying a word dragged her into the bathroom where the stupid ningens wouldn't follow.

"Why are you dragging me here?!" Alex asked alarmed.

"Tell me half demon what kind of cat are you being this Halloween? I have never seen one with two tails and 4 ears." I told her she just stared at me like I had five heads. I pointed to the mirror and she took a deep breath preparing to give a defining scream as covered her mouth and wisped harshly in her ear,

"Do you want all these ningens to know you're a demon? I'll get you out of this club and take you to a shop. I need some less ningeny cloths anyway." She nodded and took of her fake tail and ears.

"Its Halloween no one will think any different of me as long as I don't wag my fox tail!" she explained to me.

"How is that Hailey is Kurama's apprentice and you have the fox tail?" I asked her as she gave me a confused look.

"Oh oh oh I know LETS GO ASK THE WIZARD OF OZZ!" Alex responded she was obviously clueless

"Alex, who tolled you that I hid a giant pixie stick in my sock draw?" I asked her she was acting as if she was on a sugar high Alex went wide eyed she never knew that.

"Ok so, where trying to sneak past Hiei?" Alex asked me

"No that is imposable where gona take him along." I tolled her as we headed out towards Hiei.

"Hiei, this time Alex has a real tail we need to get her outa hear!" I wisped to him he immediately got up "no one will expect three 14 year olds walking around to be demons especially on Halloween

"Where do you plan to take her ningen?" Hiei asked me

"A: I'm not a ningen B: I'm gona get some thing that makes me look less ningeny, I heard some ningens speaking of a demon store down an alley I figure thy might have some weaponry there too" I reported to him there was one thing I hated more then being called short was being called a ningen.

To much typing …… starts to hipervenalte Alex if you are reading this contact me its my 2 day out of school and I'm already ready to kill all of the ningens on this planet! And all you people who criticize me on my spelling I have one thing to say to you
