“If you continue to poke me, I'll cut off your fingers and feed them to you!”

 

“But I'm hungry!”

 

“Do you honestly think I'd know how to cook your stupid human food?” Hiei scoffed, walking to the other side of the room, out of range of the offending finger.

 

“Yusuke, aren't you hungry?” Kuwabara asked.

 

“Well yah, I'm always in the mood for food. But watching you two get on each other's nerves is kind of fun.”

 

“So you're in on it too! I'll kill you, you incompitent detective!” Before Hiei could lunge at him, Kurama had snaked his arm around his throat and midsection, pulling him backwards.

 

“I'm afraid I cannot allow you to kill a member of my science experiment.”

 

“Fine, but afterwards I'll get you! And your little dog too!” Evil laughter floated from his corner of the living room.

 

“I think the shrimp's a little off his rocker.”

 

“You're one to talk,” Yusuke retorted, continuing to lounge on the couch.

 

“Please stop your incessant bickering! It hasn't even been one night yet!” The characteristic outburst from Kurama effectively silenced the remaining spirit detectives. “Now was that so hard. Why don't we just watch t.v. for a while. We can go out later, when it's cooler.” Before they could argue he plowed on. “And if you disagree, I'll lock you in the stinkin' house and turn off the air conditioner.”

 

Needless to say, that stopped all coming complaints. They all sat in front of the black box, silent except for the occasional manic laughter from the dark, dark, corner.
