Once again, sorry for the long update, I get rather lazy at times, and well that's the only reason/excuse. I hope this chapter is okay, I try.
Disclaimer--I don't own YYH….or do I ^_~ nope I don't.
Yusuke and Kuwabara arrived at Kurama's house after a day spent searching for a cool place. The arcade at kicked them out after they had gotten into an argument, and slightly harmed a machine. It was really nothing a few hundred dollars couldn't fix, but try telling that to the arcade owner.
The mall had been so crowded that there had not been much point in staying there. As had most of the restaurants in town. So, essentially, they had walked around, complaining about it being too hot, until it was time to go to their red headed friend's home.
Kurama opened the door right away, bring with him the fresh breeze commonly associated with one who had air conditioning. “You both look extremely overheated,” he pointed out, moving aside so they could pass. He received two glares in response. “Well, there is food in the kitch-,” he began, only to find their spirits renewed as they practically sprinted into the other room.
Hiei was perched on the counter, watching the two inhale the food with a bemused look upon his face. “When did you get here?” Kurama asked him.
“While you were letting the animals in your house, fox,” he answered.
“Hey shrimp! We're not animals!” Kuwabara argued, a fork still gripped in his hand.
“Stop fighting,” Kurama instructed. “By the time we're done, you'll have had plenty of opportunities,” he added in a whisper. “So, anyway, the ideas of this experiment are simple. I am investigating the effects of lack of sleep on people, and yes Hiei, I have realized that you're not exactly human, but I don't think it will effect the results. The rules are simple. Just don't fall asleep, though you may use any tactic to stay awake. You must also stay in the same room, or area if you're not in the house, as the rest of us. Otherwise we won't know if you're sleeping.”
“But what if we have to go to the bathroom?” Kuwabara questioned. Kurama grimaced.
“On that note, make yourselves at home.”
