Okay, I know that the people from Yu Yu Hakusho are from Japan so they shouldn't be able to speak English but let's just pretend they can for the sake of the story.

Chapter One: Crimson Eyes

(The following takes place in America.)

"AMELIA GET UP OR YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE!"

Amelia finally couldn't take anymore screaming and got up.

"I'M UP! I'M UP! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?"

She jumped out of bed and got dressed picking out a black T-shirt and black baggy pants. Amelia was fairly pretty. She had long black hair with lavender colored tips. She was definitely not that tall, but if you made fun of her for it you'd be breathing through a tube at the local hospital. And, possibly her most striking feature, her eyes. They were crimson colored, the exact shade of red as blood.

"I'm leaving see you tonight, and Anna if I catch you in my room today you are so dead!" She told her.

"Yeah, yeah," was all the pink haired ten-year-old replied.

She considered Anna to be her little sister, but then again she considered every kid in the orphanage she lived in to be her younger sibling. The girl had lived in this orphanage for the majority of her life. As for the part that she had not been here, she could not remember.

"Amelia aren't you going to have breakfast before you leave for school?" Ms. Robinson asked.

Ms. Robinson was the owner of the orphanage. She was a kind, tall woman with short brown hair and blue eyes. Everyone around there didn't bother to call her Ms. Robinson though. To them she was simply known as Mom because she was the closest thing to a parent any child in the orphanage had.

"Sorry Mom I promised my friends I'd meet them before school," she replied.

With that she jumped out of the window in her room, which would not have been such an amazing feet if her room had not been on the second floor!

She ran to school to see her friends Sky and Z Zoro waiting at the front door.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Amelia what took you so long?" Z asked.

Sky and Z had been Amelia's best friends for as long she could remember. They were fraternal twins. Both of them had green hair and were dressed in normal clothes. Sky was wearing a pair of baggy blue jeans and white shirt. His green hair was about the normal length for a boy and was slightly spiky at the top of his head. Z was wearing about the same thing that Amelia wore. Baggy black jeans and a black shirt that had "Make Me Mad and Die" written in red on it.

Z's real name was Zelena but she wanted a name that sounded tougher so it was shortened down to Z. Z always wore a dark green bandana over her hair. Sticking out of the back of the bandana were two long light green braids that almost touched the ground. (Because of the bandana many people had often mistaken Z for a boy before they noticed the braids which caused quite a lot of pain for those poor people.)

Sky on the other hand had no qualms about his name or his appearance. He was tall, strong and handsome. All the girls at school had a crush on him, but he hardly noticed. The Zoro twins were concerned about one thing and one thing only, improving their swordsmanship skills. Even at school they carried their swords, Z with three katana and Sky with two.

"Sorry. My stupid alarm clock busted again," she explained.

"Maybe that wouldn't happen if you would stop throwing it out the window," Sky teased

"Shut up!" Amelia yelled and hit him over the head.

"Okay, if you two are done bickering let's get this horrible torture over with," Z said.

"Get what torture over with?" Amelia asked.

"School," the twins said, and broke out in laughter.

After school Z, Sky, and Amelia were just walking around the streets. None of them really knew what to do with themselves since school left them feeling rather drained of energy. (A/N: Like school doesn't do that to everyone. Lol.)

"So…I just thought of something fun we could do today," Amelia told them

"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?" Sky asked.

"If you think that she's thinking that we should go find some butt to kick then I think that you are correct," Z said with just a hint of humor in her voice.

"Yup," Amelia confirmed.

Z, Sky, and Amelia were the toughest kids in school. The twins as you know fought with swords, but Amelia fought with knives. The funny thing was that she was so used to being attacked that if you startled her she would throw a knife at you as a reflex. (It was an odd occurrence if she didn't hit her target for she seldom missed what she was aiming at.) There was always someone who wanted to challenge them and when they were bored nothing felt better than to kick some weakling's butt.

 

Z, Sky, and Amelia were in the middle of the fight they had been looking for. It hadn't been that difficult to find someone to fight. Guys that they had previously beaten were always ready and willing for a second chance at proving how tough they were. Amelia was finishing up with the last guy when, all of a sudden, someone she thought had been knocked unconscious attacked her from behind.

"Take this!" He yelled.

Amelia had already dropped her knife, therefore she was weaponless. Startled by the sudden attack, all she could do was cover her face with her arms in an attempt to shield herself. Right before his fist connected a fireball flew out of her hand and hit the guy straight in his chest!

"Whoa!" All three of them said in unison.

"How in the world did you do that?" Z asked with a look of bewilderment on her face.

"I...I don't know," was all Amelia said before passing out.

 

 

Please understand that this is the first chapter of my first fanfic, so it's not very good or that long. The chapters get better and longer after the first couple of them. Oh and before I forget, I got the idea for Z and Sky Zoro from Rornoa Zoro from the show One Piece if anybody was wondering. I just wanted to say that so I don't get sued or anything. The Yu Yu Hakusho characters are coming in the next chapter, so don't worry about that. I hope someone likes it.
