A small short girl stood on the ledge of a high cliff as the wind whipped around her forcing her light blond hair to slap against her body. she looked down at the sharp rocks below her as tears streamed down her face. her white dress tugged violently as rain started to drizzle down.
'why?!' she screamed into the distance. 'why did you have to do this to me?!' she fell to her knees and started to sob. 'i cant believe you did this to me.' she whispered quietly as she wiped her tears away from her face. 'i hate you!' she screamed as she stood back up to face the wind. 'i hate you.' she whispered to herself again.
The rain was pouring now and her dress was starting to stick to her body and her hair was clinging to her face. Mascara poured down making vicious black streaks down her sickly pale skin.

~*~ Yu Yu Hakusho ~*~

-where am i?- Aidan asked herself as she slowly opened her bright blue eyes. -whats going on?-
she sat up slowly and looked around. she brushed her fingers through the tall dark soft grass.
a small green and orange butterfly fluttered past her face. she watched as it disappeared into the distance. she stood up and brushed herself off but she crouched back down when she heard voices approaching from a distance.

'i think she hot!' Kuwabara exclaimed loudly.
'Eww!' Yusuke said with an aggravated look on his face as they walked through the big open field. 'i think she looks like a train wreck.'
'beauty comes from within.' Kurama said quietly, calmly.
Yusuke and Kuwabara both looked at Kurama with a funny look.
'you try dating a hideous girl whos overly nice.' Yusuke laughed. 'besides, you need to finish that sentience. Beauty comes from within bottles, jars and compacts.'
'thats not beauty.' Kurama said quietly, shaking his head.
'thats false advertisement!' Kuwabara bellowed as he crossed his arms and threw his nose in the air.
'i guess that shouldn't be much of a surprise.' Yusuke snickered.
'whats that supposed to mean?!' Kuwabara yelled back at Yusuke
'look at you.' Yusuke laughed out loud. 'of course she isn't going to be pretty.'

after the boys passed and their backs were facing her Aidan stood up figuring that the boys wernt much of a threat. she started to walk towards them but kept her distance.
in less than a second Hiei was behind her with his arm around her waist and his sword to her neck.
'don't move!' Hiei demanded quietly with his sword pressed against her throat.
Aidan froze in terror.
'if you move, ill kill you.' Hiei whispered in her ear.
'help me!' Aidan screamed at tears welded in her eyes.

Yusuke and Kuwabara turned around quickly as soon as they heard the sharp scream.
'Hiei!' Yusuke yelled as he started to run towards them.

Hiei pushed the blade deeper into her neck.
'what business do you have here child?' Hiei demanded.
'i don't know, i don't know where i am or how i got here.'

~*~ Yu Yu Hakusho ~*~

Aidan watched as the police loaded her mother, father and twin sister into the back of a huge white van with a huge neon orange bio-hazard sign on the side. she had never seen anything like their outfits in her entire life. they were suited from head to toe in bulky white plastic looking costumes with huge black masks that covered their head and neck, huge black boots that came to their knees and huge black gloves that extended up their arms.
her light blond hair laid just below her ears and her bright blue eyes shined dimly in the moonlight, she was short for 12, only a few inches above 4 feet tall.
she quietly ran away from her window and hid in her closet as she heard footsteps climbing up to her room. she clinched onto her dark brown teddy bear and pulled her knees to her chin hoping they wouldn't find her.
'clear.' she hear a man say from the room. 'nobody in here sarge.'
she listened as the footsteps inched farther away from her room.
'we need to close this place up.' one of the men yelled from downstairs.
he sister told her to stay in the closet no matter what happened, she made her promise that she would only run if they found her, and only leave after she was 100% sure they were gone.
Aidan stayed put in the closet where she promised she would stay.

~*~ Yu Yu Hakusho ~*~

'I'm sorry about him.' Kurama explained to the frightened young girl as he eyed Hiei
she sat with her hands folded in her lap and a scared look on her face. Kurama handed her a cup of tea and sat beside her on the floor. Yusuke and Kuwabara sat down also, Hiei stood with his arms crossed leaning against the wall.
'whats your name?' Yusuke asked looking at her curiously.
she looked up from her cup. 'my name is Aidan'
Yusuke smiled. 'i really like that name.'
'its a boys name.' she smirked.
'well, my name is Yusuke' he joyed pointing to himself.
'I'm Kuwabara!' the tall boy with curly orange hair yelled taking Yusukes spotlight.
'Kurama' the boy with long red hair said genuinely bowing his head.
'and thats Hiei' Yusuke said pointing to Hiei
'i take it your the leader of the operations.' Aidan said quietly looking at Yusuke
'how do you figure?' Kuwabara asked annoyed. 'how do you know it isn't me?'
Aidan gave him a sharp angry look. 'because your to stupid, idiot.'
she looked at Kurama 'your to nice and plight. you would rather follow or be alone than run a group and be responsible for their actions.' she turned to Hiei 'and you, your to outraged and angry, you cant control yourself yet alone a group.'
Hiei shot her a death glare but she ignored it and turned back to Yusuke 'you however, you seem immature but you can control yourself if you want and be mature enough to hold it together if you wanted.'
they all looked at Aidan with a surprised look on their face.
'so am i right?'
'kinda.' Yusuke replied. 'i guess if there were a leader it would be me.'
'where am i?' she asked taking another drink of her tea.
'your in ohio.' Yusuke replied.
'i cant remember anything.' Aidan said looking at her hands. 'i don't even know what year it is.'

by this time it was starting to get dark outside, the sun was starting to fall behind the rigorous mountain line that took over the distance scenery.

'what are you making?' a young girl asked tugging on a long white coat.
the tall man looked down from behind his glasses. 'something that will change the world.' he smiled. 'now run along and go play with your sister.'
Aidan looked back as she started to walk away. she couldn't help but to let her curious eyes wonder over all her fathers tools and instruments.
she pulled the door open to walk back upstairs when her father stopped her.
'wait. honey?'
'yes daddy?'
'come here for a second.'
the girl walked to him without hesitation.
'would you like to help me with my experiments?'
'yeah!' she exclaimed excitedly.
the man bent over and put his finger over his lips. 'you cant tell mom or Talia'
'OK.' she smiled. 'i wont tell.' she she said putting her index finger over her lips. 'it will be out little secrete.'
