"Yeah, Yeah, we understand." Yusuke yawned and rested his hands behind his head, "A silly little A-Class demon imprisoned a bunch of humans; We've gotcha Koenma, don't beat it to death."

Hiei smirked, "Why do we have to save a bunch of humans."

Kurama sighed at the old argument and new that Kuwabara was going to stick in his thoughts. Right on cue Kuwabara spoke, "Shrimp, if you don't like it go back to Mukuro."

Kurama and Yusuke raised a brow… that was a new insult.

Hiei scowled, "You wouldn't mock if you knew her."

"She's nothing but a heartless freak like you."

"Better that than a stupid human with no coordination or brains."

Botan, Koenma, Kurama, and Yusuke sighed and rolled their eyes waiting for the battle to end. To their surprise a silver Kitsune walked into the room, "Koenma sir, I need to speak to you."

Kuwabara and Hiei let go of each other's hair as they followed the silver Kitsune. Hiei glanced at Kurama who held up a hand in defense, silently telling them he knew nothing about it. Koenma sat up and motioned him to the desk. He whispered in Koenma's ear and then pointed at Kurama. Koenma looked at Kurama shocked and then nodded, "Would you like to tell him now?"

The Kitsune nodded and spoke to Kurama loudly, "Youko Kurama, Inari has placed in your possession and care your sister, Youko Hakida."

"S-Sister? I have a sister?" Kurama's face was abnormally pale.

The doors opened and a short Kitsune walked through the doors, her seven silver tails trailing behind her, her silver hair swishing at her ankles, and her golden eyes looking at the messenger Youko emotionless. Kurama objected, "That's not right, I don't have any siblings; she can't be my sister!"

She tilted her head looking at Kurama, her childlike features, and eyes showing no emotion. Hiei whispered, "She looks just like you."

Kurama sighed; it was no mistaking that was his sister, but how? She was so short!

She looked at Hiei, her golden eyes spearing him unemotional. Hiei squirmed, "I don't like they way she's looking at me."

A smile creased her red lips, her gaze not moving from Hiei. She looked at Kurama and whispered, "I like him. What's his name?"

They fell over and Hiei blushed. Kurama picked himself up slowly, "Umm… Hiei." He then turned to the messenger, "I don't understand, she's so young."

He laughed, "Kurama you of all people should know, looks mean nothing. You haven't seen a female Kitsune have you?" Kurama shook his head and the messenger continued with the explanation, "Female's outward appearances grow much slower than a males; thus her short stature. Kurama, Inari is placing you in charge of his most precious creation; keep her safe." With that he disappeared. The room was silent as she looked at Kurama expectantly.

He stuttered, "I-I guess I should introduce you to the gang." She nodded and walked to him. He pointed to the child behind the desk then with each name pointing to the holder of the name; "That's Koenma, Botan, Yusuke, Kuwabara, and you've met Hiei."

She waved her fingers slowly at them. "Hello." She bowed, "My name is Youko Hakida."

Koenma sucked furiously on his pacifier; "This could interfere with out current mission. The Rekai Tantei's need to find those demons and save those humans."

She perked up; "I could help."

"How?"

"Kurama is not the only one with powers, Koenma sir."

Koenma raised a brow thinking, "I don't want to put you in danger."

"I can take care of myself." She said bluntly.

He nodded, "Kurama please take care of her. I don't know why Inari brought her to you; but don't let her get hurt."

"I told you; I can take care of myself." Her brow was creased in frustration, "I don't have seven tails for looks, you know."

Hiei looked at Koenma expectantly; she had attitude. He felt a rise in her Ki and noticed that it was coming close to Kurama's maximum and it was showing no signs of tiring. Could she be more powerful than Kurama?

Koenma nodded at her, "If you insist. Kurama will fill you in on the mission details." He waved his hand and they began to leave the room. Kurama shifted uneasily, "I'm sorry, I know nothing about you."

She smiled, "And I know nothing about you. Inari said this was my training."

"Training? You've met Inari?"

She stifled a small laugh and Hiei looked at her thoughtfully. "Silly brother of mine, you have too!"

"I have?"

She giggled, "Well I should hope so; it might have been as a baby but you still met him."

"I met him as a baby?"

She laughed, "Kurama! He's your father!"

"F-Father?"

"Of course! All silver Kitsune's are direct descendants of Inari, you silly little Youko!" She paused then continued, "You know very little about your heritage?"

Kurama nodded, "Hakida, could you teach me what you know?" She nodded, "But first, what did Koenma want us to do?"

Yusuke yawned, "Oh yeah, rescue some humans; we'll start tomorrow I'm tired."

Botan smacked him with her oar; "You dummy! These humans are in danger!"

"Why'd you hit me!" He rubbed the back if his head, "That hurt!"

"Well you deserved it!"

Botan went off on Yusuke as the others sighed. Hakida glanced at Hiei and caught his gaze. She smiled warmly at him and then turned her attention to Kurama, "Do they always fight like this?"

He nodded, "Someone is always fighting: Yusuke and Keiko, Yusuke and Botan, Kuwabara and Shizuru, Kuwabara and Hiei."

"Hiei?" She eyed him, "Tell me more about him."

"Well, he's a fire demon… sort of. He's a Koorime; but was considered a bad omen since he was male and as you Koorime don't have males."

"That island… it was destroyed."

He nodded, "Natural disaster… I'm not exactly certain how."

She glanced at Hiei again catching his gaze; "It wasn't him was it?"

"Oh no, no, he was with us in the Human world working on a case."

Yusuke yelled, "Alright, ALRIGHT! We're going Botan, are you HAPPY!"

"Yes." She crossed her arms and hit him one more time with the oar, "And if you don't do it I'll tell Keiko and she'll be on your case."

He scowled and marched off, "Come on guys; we've got some humans to rescue."
