Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Hidden Fear ❯ The Attack ( Chapter 9 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Akia: Hey I've got a couple of people to thank for their reviews. First I would like to thank Hiei's Shadow Tenshi for answering my peanut butter question and her eyes are blue (never mentioned that). Second I would like to thank Kyoka for the great advice and I don't take offense to it. I asked for it in the first place and it is highly appreciated. And thanks to AnimeAmber. Those three are the only one's who reviewed this story since I last updated.

Akia: Sorry I haven't updated for a while. I have another story out called Sisters. Read it if you want, but if you don't Nykera will come and kick my but.

Hiei: Can we just get on with it so I can leave.

Akia: Sure, if you say the disclaimer.

Hiei: Fine

DICLAIMER: LunarAkia does not own Yu Yu Hakusho.

Akia: Now for Hidden Fear, chapter 9, “The Attack.” Enjoy.

LAST TIME:

He blushes when he realizes he will have to change her so she won't get sick. When he finished changing her it had already started to rain. He took off his cloak and shoes, then laid next to her hoping she wouldn't mind the extra person.

The sun shone through the window and hit her face. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around. `How did I get here.' She looked down noticing she wasn't wet anymore and was wearing new clothes.
She tries to get up but a foreign weight won't allow it. Slowly she turns around and there was Hiei, sound asleep.
She blushes as he “unconsciously” pulls her closer to him. She sees him smirk, as if he'd meant to. He smells her hair and rests his head on her neck. He huff hard and nuzzles her as she turns 20 shades redder.
`knock, knock' Hiei jumps up. “Akia, it's time for breakfast.” Kurama's voice calls from the other side of the door. Hiei growls and curses under his breath. “Um, I'll be down in a little bit.” She looks to Hiei. He looks pissed, but she smiles at him anyway then goes to take a shower.

She steps out of the shower, dresses and walks back into the room. Suprisingly Hiei had been there the whole time waiting for her to finish. He would rather her walk with him down there just incase that fox tried to corner her alone. He walks out the door with her behind him.
“Good morning, Akia” Kurama said as he walked up beside her. “Oh, good morning Kurama.” Her smiled sweetly at her. Hiei grabbed her wrist and started walking faster.
When they got to the kitchen Hiei got two plates and filled them. He gives one to Akia and leads her outside after saying good morning to his sister. They sit on the porch and ate their food.
They finished their food, but stayed there in peace for at least another hour before Kurama came out.
“ Hiei, we need to go train.” He said “ Not today.” came the reply as he stood up. He sticks his hand out for her to take, standing her up before he led her off into the forest again.
They walked through the forest, an awkward silence loomed about them. “ Um, Lord Hiei why do you dislike Kurama?” Akia asked hoping to break the silence. “ What makes you think I don't like him?” He replied through gritted teeth. “Well, it's just every time he comes around, you growl or curse.” “He is just getting to far into my business.” She grew quiet and looked to the ground.
They got back to the lake she had fallen in the day before. She sat down beside him, but not as close as she had that day. It stayed in the same awkward silence until they heard something in the bushes behind them. Before they could see what it was a creature shot out and grabbed Akia. Hiei pulls out his sword and runs toward the demon. Seconds before he made contact, the demon turned around, using Akia as a shield. The sword went through her chest and the demon disappeared.
She fell to the ground in an ungraceful heap. Hiei dropped to his knees beside her. Gently he picked her up a ran to the temple as one single tear slipped from his eye.
`Don't die, Akia, now. I'm sorry.'
