(A/N)I know that the title may be unusual, considering that it would take a lot for Hiei to fall in love, but he deserves a little love, right?

CHAPTER 1: FINDING HER

Erika always knew there was something strange about her. She always knew that she wasn’t normal. It was mostly because of this mark she had on her left shoulder blade that was in the shape of a rose. Her mother told her that she had that mark so her brother could one day find her.

However, Erika’s mother never told her who her brother was or where he was. Erika never knew her brother and she just wanted to find him. The reason that Erika’s mother didn’t want her to find her brother was because was a half-demon. That made Erika a half-demon as well. Her mother didn’t want her to know that.

Anyway, Erika was a beautiful girl with emerald eyes and long, chocolate brown hair. She would always wear tank tops to show of her mark, just in case her brother ever did come to find her. Along with her tank tops she would wear jeans and sneakers. You see, Erika was some what of a sporty girl. However, she didn’t know how to use weapons. In truth she was a coward.

Anyway, Erika was walking home from school and as usual she was in her tank top, jeans, and sneakers. It was a pretty good day for her. She was asked out by the most popular boy in school, got the lead in the school play, and was made the captain of the cheerleading squad. So as usual, Erika was walking through the woods that were by her house. The woods were safe.

UNTIL TODAY!

Little did Erika know, but she was being followed. She was just whistling a tune and had no idea that she was being followed.

CRACK!

“Who’s there?” Erika yelled into the distance. She saw nothing. “Okay, just a little paranoid. It was probably a rabbit or something.”

That’s what she kept telling herself. However, she started to walk faster in fear.

That was when something green and hairy landed in front of her.

“Ah, my dear lady, there you are. My master has been waiting for you,” said the creature.

“What, who are you?” she asked.

“I am but a humble and loyal demon to my master, Lord Hitagora,” said the demon.

“WHAT?” Erika was in shock. She couldn’t believe that this was happening to her.

“Yes, now come on. You are needed for his dream to become a reality,” said the demon.

“I’m not going anywhere, especially with you,” protested Erika.

“Then my lady, I guess I’ll just have to force you to come with me.” The demon went over, picked Erika up and put her over his shoulder.

“I don’t want to go with you! Leave me alone! Put me down! I am not this woman you speak of! I don’t know what you are talking about!” Erika shouted banging on the demons back.

The demon just laughed as he walked away. He just thought all of this was some joke.

“Zoni, I didn’t know you had such disrespect for women. Especially when the woman you are holding is my sister,” said a voice from the shadows.

“Sister? Wait can it be? My brother?” Erika asked.

“Yes, it is I,” the man came out. He was a cute red headed-emerald eyed boy. “My name is Kurama Erika. I will save you.”

“Kurama be rational. We don’t know what kind of demon she is and we don’t know about this secret power of hers,” said another voice from the shadows.

“Hiei, it doesn’t matter. I have looked for years for my sister. I’m not about to lose her,” said Kurama.

“Fine. But can I have the honor in killing Zoni?” asked Hiei.

“Alright,” Kurama agreed.

Hiei smirked. He took out his Kanata. “You know, I hate having to do this to you. Wait what am I saying I love having to do this to you. This is what I live for,” teased Hiei. The black haired red-eyed hottie swung his sword in a fast motion to cut Zoni’s arm.

“AHHHHHHH! YOU BAKA! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” Zoni yelled out in pain.

Hiei just smirked as he cut of Zoni’s other arm causing Erika to fall. Fortunately for her, Kurama caught her.

“Thanks bro,” she said.

“No problem,” said Kurama as he gave his sister a kiss on the forehead.

“Please have mercy on me,” pleaded Zoni.

“Let me think about this. Umm...NO!” hollered Hiei, cutting of Zoni’s head.

“Come on Hiei we better get back to Genkai’s Koenma will be there soon,” said Kurama.

He and Hiei began to walk back to Genkai’s dojo. Since Erika was so quiet, Hiei almost forgot that she was there.

“Kurama, you can put me down,” said Erika.

“Well, I don’t want to. You see I’m afraid that if I put you down you’ll be captured or get lost,” replied Kurama.

“Besides you baka, we’re going to be at the dojo soon,” said Hiei.

“BAKA? Why I aughta! Kurama put me down I have a score to settle!” yelled Erika. She was struggling in her brother’s arms.

“Erika, NO! Hiei apologize,” ordered Hiei.

“Sorry,” Hiei smirked.

“Here we are,” said Kurama when they got to the dojo.

“WOW!” she said.

Kurama out Erika down and the three of them walked into the dojo.

“Guys come here, I have some one I want you to meet,” Kurama yelled.

“Who?” asked Yuske as he, Kuwbara, Boton, Koenma, and Genkai came into the room.

“My sister, Erika,” said Kurama.

“It is pleasure to meet you,” greeted Erika.

“Like wise. We have heard so much about you,” said Boton as she put down the cactus that she was holding on the couch.

“Yes which means we must start talking about your protection,” Koenma said as he pointed to the couches.

They all sat down. Hiei just happened to sit on the cactus.

“YEAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOW!” he hollered.

Everyone was laughing, but no one was laughing as hard as Erika.

“Man now I have a new nickname for you. Pointy butt,” laughed Erika.

“Yea, yea very funny,” Hiei muttered.

“I think it is,” teased Erika.

“Both of you stop flirting with each other, we have work to do,” ordered Koenma.

“Me flirting with Pointy butt? You have got to be kidding,” yelled Erika.

“Like I would ever flirt with a baka like that,” shouted Hiei.

“Look both of you shut up so we can get down to business,” yelled Kurama.

Erika and Hiei sat on opposite sides of the room and glared at each other.

“That’s much better,” said Koenma. “Anyway, with Hitagora’s servants still out there we are going to have to take more precautions. Genkai, we are going to need your dojo to hide Erika until I can talk to my father. Kurama you are going to have to make sure that Erika’s true form does not come out until after Hitagora it eliminated. Hiei you are to train Erika and her room is to be by your room, Kurama’s room, and Yuske’s room for her own protection.”

“WHAT?!” yelled Hiei and Erika.

“I agree with them. That babe should be trained by an expert like me,” gloated Kuwbara.

“You know he’s right,” said Erika. She gave everyone a surprise.

“I am?” Kuwbara was surprised that he didn’t get smacked.

Erika went and sat on Kuwbara’s lap, making him blush. “You want to truth,” she whispered. Kuwbara nodded. “NO!” Erika yelled getting up. “You are a snot face jerk that has no respect for women. I may not know all of you well enough, but I can tell that you, Kuwbara, are a selfish sexiest pig and that Hiei is a man who probably has some respect if not a lot of respect for women.” And with that Erika smacked Kuwbara hardly across the face.

“Ouch,” said Yuske.

“Did she just stand up for me?” Hiei asked shocked.

“Don’t always expected that from me Hiei. It’s just that I hate guys like Kuwbara,” said Erika as she walked out of the room.

“I’ll be back in a minute,” said Hiei.

Hiei ran after her.

“That’s a bit unusual,” said Boton.

“Yeah I never thought that I would see the day when Hiei would chase after a girl, especially your sister,” said Yuske.

“If you don’t mind, I’m going to spy on them,” said Kurama getting up.

Erika went outside into the garden it was beautiful and a good place to get away from everyone else.

“Erika,” came Hiei’s voice.

“Hiei?” Erika was confused. Why did Hiei come after her?

“Look, I wanted to thank you,” said Hiei.

“For what?” Erika asked.

“You know,” he said.

“Gotcha. Anyway, why did you chase after me?” she asked.

“Because you shouldn’t be out here alone,” said Hiei.

“Whatever,” replied Erika.

The two of them stood out there for awhile. It was nice and romantic. Of course the two of them would never admit to the fact that they liked each other. At least not yet. Kurama knew that as he watched Hiei and Erika walk around the garden.
