I do not own more than half the songs I put in here (which means all songs I have no right for) All characters appear to be 17 years old in this fiction. Yusuke and the others have of course matured over the years, so sometimes they might seem a little bit out of character.

I will have some `light hearted' humor in here, but it is not what the whole thing is about.

Chapter3: With You

It has been two months since the gang had met Sapphire. They all liked her and thought she was awesome. The only ones who didn't like her were their teachers (they all have same classes) and the principal. Oh, and all the other students, only because she fought more than Urameshi.

Sapphire and Kurama had been flirting a lot and it didn't go unnoticed by the others. Sapphire would `accidentally' spill something on Kurama's thigh, and then offer to clean it up. This would leave the fox flushed, especially since the spill was always near his groin area. He did always get payback though. He would usually put her in awkward positions like her up against a wall with him blocking her, or he would make a comment about her in front of everyone and make her blush. So, all was good in the neighborhood.

It was currently a Monday, and they were sitting in class, not really paying attention. Well, Keiko, Yukina, and Kurama were. They wanted to actually pass high school this year. Sapphire had fallen asleep and so had Yusuke and Kuwabara. Hiei, well, he was in la-la land. Sapphire and the two boys woke up when the bell rang, signaling it was time to get the hell out of that class.

(ok, I'm going to skip till end of day to get on with the story.)

As the 7 students walked out together, (Botan is the grim reaper, meaning she doesn't go to school), something caught Sapphire's eyes. It was a yellow sheet of paper. It was a flyer. It said . . . TALENT SHOW! TRY OUTS ARE AFTER SCHOOL NEXT MONDAY, APRIL 7. BANDS, SINGERS, DANCERS, AND ANY ONE ELSE WITH TALENT, PLEASE JOIN!

`Hmmm… Interesting I think I will make a few phone calls . . .' Sapphire thought while she tucked this into her black invader Zim messenger book-bag. She kept walking. She wanted to surprise her friends when she goes up on stage for the Talent Show.

When the gang got home they all decided to do homework first, then the boys will go on their next mission. Kurama went into his room to do his homework, which Sapphire went into her room, which was right next to Kurama's. Yukina, Keiko, Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei all stayed in the living room.

~Sapphire's POV~

I am bored I am Bored I am Bored I am Bored I am Bored. Oh, did I mention to myself I AM FUCKING BORED?! I am trying so hard to do my homework, but homework is BORING! Hence me going `I am bored I am Bored I am Bored I AM BORED!' I let my thoughts drift. And guess where they drift to? A brilliant man, who happens to be smart, has green emerald eyes, is a fox, has red hair, is in the room right next to me, my flower boy. Oh, yes, by now I think you've guessed it. It is that fox, Kurama. Oh, he is smart... HE COULD HELP ME DO MY HOMEWORK! That will also help me get closer to him... Oh, now I am a genius.

I get up carefully and grab my books. I walk out my room quietly and go next door. I don't knock, only because I don't want the others hearing and start to think things.

~Kurama's POV~

I can't really concentrate. I keep letting myself think about Sapphire and her most magnificent beauty. How her hips sway. How her laugh is like music to my ears. I also can't get enough of her, just her, meaning her personality. Sure, she can be a pain in the ass, but she makes people laugh and she really makes me feel... odd. I don't feel normal around her, and even Youko can't really recall normality in his attitude whenever we discuss her.

My thoughts disappear as fast as a bullet when my door starts to open. I was startled to see the girl that makes my mind swim in circles just from the sound of her name. “S-sapphire,” I managed to choke out. She was blushing. Damn she is cute when she blushes. “Oh, Ummm, I don't really understand this homework and I was wondering if you can help m-me?” Her voice was sweet. Her dark purple bangs covering her right eye, and her wavy dark blue hair kept shifting as she was too. I can tell my gazing at her and giving no response was making her feel uncomfortable so I decided to nod.

~Normal POV~

Sapphire gave a small smile as Kurama nodded. She shut the door carefully and silently walked over to the desk in Kurama's room where he was currently at. Kurama pulled up a chair for Sapphire to sit in and they started to do their homework, both happy with each others' company.

When they finished, Sapphire thanked Kurama for helping her. “No need to thank me. I enjoyed your company, and I was helping out a friend. So, therefore, no need to thank Mr. Flower-boy,” Kurama chuckled as he said the nickname Sapphire had given him. Sapphire smiled. Then she noticed how close they were, but she didn't move away.

Sapphire and Kurama were just standing there. They didn't know what to do. Somehow they had managed to move to the point where their faces were almost touching. Kurama filled the space between them and had his lips cover hers in a chaste kiss.

Kurama and Sapphire didn't get make the kiss deeper because they both heard a call from Yusuke. “Kurama, we need to get going on the mission!” Yusuke yelled.

The guys ran out after saying good bye. During when they were doing homework, Botan had come home.

(Where the boys are)

“Eww . . . it smells in here!” Kuwabara exclaimed as he pinched his nose to block out the scent. The others did the same, but Hiei used his over jacket (that black cloak thing) to block it out. As the guys continued on, they noticed it didn't smell too bad, that, or they were just getting used to the smell.

Finally after a good 15 minute walk, they came up to a big metal door with vines growing out of it. They walked up to it, and then opened it. That is where they saw three men. Two looked identical to each other. They both had black hair and crimson eyes. They were fire apparitions. From what Botan had told them, this was Alex and Nikki. Then there was the man standing in the middle. He looked oddly like Hiei and Yukina. He, too, had eyes of crimson, but his hair was black and slicked back. His bangs were kind of curled to the side and were a green-ish blue. They could tell, he too, was a fire apparition. Malice was one word to describe the look he was giving to the boys, but mostly to Hiei. The guys noticed this, but then again, they didn't think anything of it. It was normal for the guys to get singled out like that.

“John Dean, you are under arrest from order of Spirit World. We can either take you down easily by cooperation, or we will fight you.” Yusuke said. He was now told to say that. He thought it was lame, but at the same time, it made him think of those action movies with cops and explosives.

“Hn. I will not go with you. Nor will I fight you, yet. And Hiei, it is nice to finally meet you.” Dean said. (I am going to call him by his last name. But don't forget his first name, because others might just use it.) His attitude was just like Hiei's. “Right now, I must take my leave. We will meet again,” With that, Dean, Nikki, and Alex were surrounded by fire, and when the fire died down, they were gone.

“Well that was a waste of time. And WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ALL ABOUT HIEI?!” Yusuke shouted to Hiei's confused form. “Like the hell I know!” Came Hiei's cold reply. The guys left to go back home.

Kurama's thoughts were of him and Sapphire. He couldn't believe they kissed. Hiei's thoughts were on that man, John Dean. Yusuke's thoughts were also on Dean. Kuwabara's, of course, were obviously on Yukina.

When the boys got home, they saw Botan and Keiko being lazy asses on the couch, Sapphire sleeping in Yukina's recliner, and Yukina in the kitchen washing dishes. Yukina looked over and stopped. “You guys are home early. Was it an easy mission?” Yukina asked as she dried off her hands. “It wasn't even a mission. The guys got away.” Yusuke said. The guys were still standing where they were, which was in front of the TV. Sapphire woke up, and the girls were about to hug the boys, but they immediately took a step back before they did so. “YOU GUYS SMELL!” Yukina exclaimed in disgust.

The guys smelled each other and nodded. Then they smiled and hugged their girlfriends. “EWWWWW! GO AWAY YOU GUYS ARE STINKY!” Yukina laughed. Sapphire was laughing so hard, she was actually pulling Kurama closer, for fear of falling.

Finally the boys let go. Botan and Keiko ran into their bathrooms, as Sapphire and Yukina were still laughing. “You four are gross. Go take showers!” Sapphire ordered. Yukina laughed and pulled Sapphire with her down the hall, pushed Sapphire into her room, and then went to her own.

The guys were looking at Kurama funny. Kurama noticed this and looked at them. “May I ask why you are staring at me funnily?” Kurama asked awkwardly. “So, did you and my cousin hook up yet, buddy?” Hiei asked, emphasizing on the word buddy, to give out the hint of slyness. Kurama shook his head and made a run for his room, with the guys laughing their asses off.

After everyone took their showers, they ate in silence, and soon went to bed. No one heard Kurama's door open, and the closing of Sapphire's door. Sapphire was just about to get into bed when she heard her door knob. She had automatically recognized the energy that was being given off. It was her crush, Kurama.

Kurama came in. He shut the door quietly, and just stared at Sapphire's sitting form. She was sitting on her bed with rather revealing night-wear. She was wearing a morbid threads red and black lace bustier and matching skirt pantie with garter straps. She was blushing at how revealing her sleepwear was. Well, it was hot out, and she liked it because of its colors and free-ness. Kurama walked over to her and she stood up. He kissed her on the lips and then parted. He was blushing too. “Ummm, will you go out with me?” Kurama asked. He didn't know why he was asking her right now, at that time. Her reply was a kiss on the lips. Since he wasn't dense, he knew that meant yes. (Oh, that rhymed!) His tongue went over her bottom lip, and she let him in. His hand moved down and gripped her rear. She then jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist. She started moving up and down, but the two never broke the kiss. They both started moaning. Sapphire could feel something hard. She blushed realizing what she was doing to him. She broke the kiss, but she didn't stand. She had also stopped moving up and down.

“Ummm, w-we h-have school tomorrow. Good night Flower power.” Sapphire stuttered.

“Goodnight Burning Ice.” Kurama replied as he let her down and gave her a quick peck on the lips. He turned to leave. “See you in the morning.” Sapphire said to him right before he left.

`Great. I am now your girlfriend. Oh, dear, the girls are going to love the fact that I am now . . . with you. . .'

Okay, what did you think? I thought this was pretty good. Kurama and Sapphire are together, and you met the... rum... the... Part of the… you met the plot. Well part of it anyway. This story is moving along nicely!
