Chapter10- A Precious Gift

Last Time: "Hmmm..." Yukina whimpered, yet she didn't wake. That is how it always has been since they took her from that hell.
Now:
It had been two days. Sapphire and Yukina never woke up, yet. Botan and Keiko had, but they always went back to sleep before the guys would be able to see if they were ok. Botan and Keiko wanted to avoid those questions and those stupid pity stares that people usually give out when something similar to this comes along.
The guys asked Genkai if she could tutor them, knowing well enough that by the time the girls somewhat recover, school was going to be difficult. They would have missed too much by then. Genkai had said yes, knowing all that too. “I am assuming you boys would also like me to tutor you?” Genkai asked at the hospital in Spirit World. Yusuke nodded. “Hmmm… hmmm,” Yukina cried out again. For some reason, her demon blood wasn't healing her wounds. Sapphire's demon blood healed the wounds, but left scars. But the guys noticed that she had previous scars on her body from before.
Hiei walked over to Yukina's sleeping form. Her head was moving and she was moaning out of pain. Hiei then noticed some ruby gems on her bed sheet. He looked to where her eyes were. Her bruised eye had tears coming out, but they weren't forming into those ruby gems. He then looked to her other eye, and noticed that the same thing was going on. `Wait, she doesn't cry white…' Hiei then felt his own eyes. He was the one crying. The other guys saw Hiei had shed tears, and saw how shocked he was.
They knew not to say anything, because this wouldn't be the time to pick on someone.

It was close to midnight. Kuwabara was in the corner of the room, in a recliner, sleeping. Yusuke was right next to Keiko, but close to sleep, but not exactly sleeping. Kurama was in the same position, but in between Sapphire and Botan. On thee other side of Botan, was Yukina's bed. Between those two beds, Hiei sat. Hiei was currently staring at Botan's slightly bruised face. She had a bruise on her cheek, though it was not dark, but just a bit brown, it brought pain into Hiei's heart.
Botan lay on her side, facing Hiei. She looked so peaceful in her sleep; Hiei felt like just staring could rouse her from her safe slumber. But he didn't care, he had the urge to feel her skin, to gently caress her bruise, and see if she was still warm. Sure, she hadn't taken serious blows like Yukina, but Hiei wasn't thinking so clearly at the moment. So, he filled his desires, and caressed her cheek. It was enough for her to slowly open her eyes.
Botan's pained lavender eyes met deep emotion filled crimson. She whimpered not realizing it was Hiei. She thought it was Dean. “Botan…” was all Hiei needed to say. `That voice…Hiei' Botan thought as she jumped up and wrapped her arms around Hiei's stomach area into a stiff embrace. She cried. This made Yusuke and Kurama come out from the verge of dozing off, and made Kuwabara wake.
After Botan's cries calmed, he still was hugging Botan, except he was in her bed. He was sitting upright and had Botan in is arms, head, against her his chest. Hiei thought for a moment. Then he reached into his pockets carefully and pulled out something. He put that something in Botan's hand, then closed it. Botan opened her hand to reveal the most precious thing she had ever seen, or had ever received, especially from Hiei. It was a beautiful ruby gem. The lights were out in the room, so all they had was the moonlight, and the way it shined, the way the light gave out such luminosity, the stunning tear gem stone, Botan thought this was the most precious and most valuable thing she had.
She closed her hand tightly and placed her fist with the gem stone over her heart and whispered a `thanks, it is beautiful', before falling into a light serene sleep.

Okay, light yes I know. It was what I thought a precious moment. A little bit of `fluff' to satisfy my so called malleable surface (soft side). I hope you like! Next chapter should be on its way. And I am sorry for making these chapters short, but I have to if I want to be able to put up these chapters in my scheduling. I hope you like and please review! Thanks!
