Chapter13: Yukina Awakens
Last Time:
Yukina was in bed. She was trying to sleep. She was having a dream, a dream she had already. This dream she really considered a nightmare...
Yukina screamed and the guys had to pin her down from doing any damage to her self. This obviously made her scream more. “GET OFF! GO AWAY! PLEASE STOP!” Yukina screamed. “No more…” Yukina whimpered out before crying. No, she wasn't awake but it was enough to make the girls scared.
Hiei stayed by Yukina's side, stroking her cheek. Kurama went to soothe the now hysterical Sapphire, whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Yusuke did the same to Keiko. Botan was panicking, but it soon went away when Kuwabara hugged her and told her everything is alright. She cried on his shoulder.
Hiei now lay next to Yukina, and had his arms around her. He was mindful about her broken arm and her damages. He noticed how she was calm now and how she slept peacefully. She wasn't crying in her sleep. She was just sleeping, and she looked almost normal.
Now: It had been three weeks since the little incident with Yukina screaming. That is exactly how it was each night; Yukina would get the same dream, and she would start screaming 'GET OFF ME!' or 'GO AWAY!' As soon as this would happen, Hiei would go over to her and hold her. She would calm immediately. The other girls would whimper when this would happen, and the other guys would comfort them.
Over the weeks, Yukina's demon blood had started to kick in and her healing abilities had started to heal her. The explanation Kurama used was that her sub consciousness must have realized that she was in pain and was injured, this her demon blood, along with healing abilities, kicked in. The only thing that they couldn't explain was the reasoning why it took so long. BUT, the good thing was that she now only held some scars and some black and blue bruising. Sure, that isn't really good, but it is great compared to her condition before. Her eye wasn't swollen, just a bit blue, pink, black, and purple. Her arm was healed, but held some bruising there also.
Now getting back to it being three weeks after the first incident. Currently it was morning, around 9-ish. Hiei was in bed with Yukina, holding her. She had been crying in her sleep last night after her little repeating episode. Yukina this time actually hit Hiei, not purposely, because of her thrashing around and trying to 'get away' from whatever was in her dream. Hiei now sported a busted lip, but he didn't care. After all, he had received worse when in battle, ne?
"Mmm..." Yukina murmured. The guys looked at her, hoping she wouldn't start screaming again. They had just gotten Botan, Keiko, and Sapphire asleep about an hour ago. Slowly, Yukina's eyes opened. She started to panic when she felt arms around her. She started whimpering. She hadn't fully opened her eyes for the fear of it might be Dean. Sure, she knew Hiei and the guys came, but she couldn't recall if that was a dream, or they really did come, and if they did come, if they won or lost. "Shhh... Yukina, are you awake?" Hiei quietly asked in her ear. "H-Hiei?" Yukina shortly responded. Her voice was raspy and hoarse. Of course she had technically used her voice, but that was screaming, and
screaming a lot can hurt one's throat.

Kuwabara went and got some water for Yukina. He came up with a pitcher full of water, and a full glass of water. He kind of guessed she would be thirsty. Yukina gratefully accepted the drink, and nodded a thank you, due to her throat hurting so much she couldn't speak. Kuwabara poured more water in her cup. "Th-thanks K-Kazuma." Yukina whispered. She kept her head down out of shame. Hiei had kept an arm of comfort draped over Yukina's delicate, bruised, fragile shoulders while she drank. Yusuke didn't say anything, neither did Kurama. They didn't know what to say.
The only thing that the boys knew was when Sapphire woke up, she would be relieved to see Yukina awake and alright.
Ok, I hope you all liked this; I worked hard on this lamely short chapter. Just thought I would put in the important moment I have been bragging about from the past 2-3 chapters... So here it is please R+R and tell me what you think... YAY!
