"Zinnia, you've found it!"he ran over to it and kneeled down. He turned around when he heard me whimper. He blinked. I layed down on my back and whimpered some more. Kurama smiled. "Okay......"he then began to rub my belly as a reward. After all, I am a canine and we doggy-dogs love belly rubs! Kurama stood up and walked over to the site. I sniffed around and had the scent of the next elemental site. I barked franticly to inform Kurama. He looked up. "I can take it from here, Zinnia. Go and inform everyone else that we've found a site."I nodded and ran off.
As I ran I soon became less interested in the elemental site smell but in the netherworld demon smell. I decided to run downtown. It seemed that that was where the scent was coming from. I had to get there fast for I was afraid that someone could get hurt. Meaning innocent people. I couldnt let that happen. The smell began to get a little stronger. There were two of them. Two netherworld demons. If I could handle about 20 or 30 of them like I did earlier than 2 would be a piece of doggie biscuit! I stopped and sniffed around.
The smell was coming from inside that large building. I could hear people screaming. I bursted inside. Sure enough there were two demons. They looked as if they were lookin for something. I snarled at them to get their attention. Obviously, my intimidation worked for they ran. I chased after them. They dashed up flights of stairs. I followed close behind. As I ran up the stairs I noticed the sign on the wall that said "floor 1 to 2" and it had an arrow pointing up the stairs. Underneath that it said. "13 floors in all". so all I had to do was chase them up to the thriteenth floor and then I'd them cornered. Then it'd be time to kick some demon butt! Anyway, I chased them up several more flights of steps. I was beginning to become tired. I looked up at the next sign which said "floor10 to 11"I just had to hang in there a little longer. I ran up the next flight of steps trying not to collapse from exhaustion. Suddenly I just thought of a way that I could attack them faster. I opened my mouth and blazed a large stream of fire at the demons. This made them put some more pep in their step so they speeded up. Finally we had gotten to the thirteenth and final floor. "Okay, now you're cornered."I thought as I ran up the last flight of stairs. I stopped in the door way and snarled. But something I didnt expect to happen happened. Both demons bursted through the large glass window. I ran over to the window and gasped at what I saw. They were fighting big brother Hiei. I barked at the the two demons as Hiei fought them.
"Dont mess with me!"I heard my big brother scream. Finally, Hiei had killed one of the demons by slashing them with his sword. I gave a victorious howl for my big brother....until I saw the other one thrust a scythe into his back. Blood poured out his body. Then Hiei disappeared. I looked confused until he reappeared behind the demon and killed him as well with his sword.
"Yay!"I thought. Suddenly, a much larger and stronger looking demon appeared behind him. Hiei spun around. The demon's forehead seemed to open up. No! It was a third eye! Just like Hiei has! With this demon's eye's psychic powers he sent Hiei flying into a building. He then fell into a rather small body of water. The demon disappeared. I snarled. I jumped out the window and came crashing down to earth......on my buttocks. Remember! Doggie's always land on their tushies! I ran over to the water where Hiei had fallen into to. I turned around and dipped my tail into the water like a fishing line and waited. Finally I felt a tug on my tail. I began to walked forward pulling out my tail and big brother Hiei who was hanging on to it. He climbed out and then layed on his back. I layed next to him and licked his face. In a poof of smoke I appeared back in my regular form. "Hi Big Brother!"I said happily. He stared at me.
"Where have you been all day?"he asked. He coughed. I paused.
"Uh....the elemental sites? Yeah now I remember! I found an elemental site!"I exclaimed. Hiei sat up.
"Really?!"he asked suprised.
"Yep! But....uh....a large group of demons manage to defeat me and open it up before me. I killed most of them but by then I was outta energy and the last couple manage to beat me."I explained. Hiei sighed. "Are you......mad at me?"I asked slowly.
"No....."he said slowly. "It's my fault...I should of been there to help you." just then I remembered something.
"Oh yeah! Me and Kurama found another elemental site! After we found it I left and then I came and found you!". I said happily. Hiei stood up.
"I think we should search for the others now. Let's split up...."
"again?"I asked. Hiei looked at me.
"Yes, again."he said heading off in a certain direction. Now, I would have gone into the other direction to search for my friends but I was pooped. Been running around all day and all. I sat on the gound to rest. I had lost a great amount of energy, I found 1 elemental site, fought 30 demons for it, failed, found another one with Kurama, chased 2 demons up 13 floors in a building, and pulled my brother out of the water.
"Need some help?"said a voice. I turned and around and gasped. Standing behind me was my spirit beast Yoko in his human form. His long white hair blew in the wind and his purple eyes sparkled.
"Yoko, you're back!"I screamed happily.
"well..... just for a little while......I sensed that something was wrong in the human world so I came to see what was going on."explained the human formed spirit beast.
"Can you help me find the others?"I asked. Yoko smiled.
"Of coruse."He picked me up bridal style. His 20ft span wings spreaded and off we went. Me and my spirit beast. He's so cool!
