Kurama: We must save the authoress…

Hiei: Hn, I've been with the baka onna, and I don't want to rescue her…

Kuwabara: Hey! We must save her! Because… she actually thinks I'm nice!

"Ok now, close your eyes…"

"Come on Kurama, what's this about?!" After what seemed like forever, (it was only 30 minutes) the two of you finally reached your destination, the only problem was, he won't tell you what or where it is.

"You'll see _____, now please close your eyes!" he said, with a groan of impatience, you closed your eyes; he took your hand and led you through was seemed liked a tunnel, another minute later, he let go of your hand.

"You can open your eyes now." You opened one eye, and all you saw was a Sakura tree, which seemed oddly familiar, you opened the other eye… and gasped at where he brought you.

"Kurama, you remembered where our secret spot was!" you ran up to the tree and hugged it; it had been a whole 2 years since you've been here, Kurama smiled, "I knew that you would like it." he said and walked right next to you, the initials _._ and S.M where carved on the tree. ((The first _ is the initial of your first name; the second one is your last))

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback…hoorah~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey Shuicchi… what do you think this is?" a younger you ((age 13)) was pointing at a tunnel, which was found when you tripped and knocked a few leaves and rocks off, Shuicchi was in complete awe.

"I honestly don't know… maybe we should leave." Shuicchi suggested, you rolled your eyes at him, "No way, we should check it out." Your sense of adventure was kicking in again, he didn't mind, he just didn't want anything bad to happen.

"So… who goes down first?" the both of you looked down at the tunnel, it didn't look to dark, but where did it lead? You pushed Shuicchi in there, he landed on his face, when he got up he sent you a glare, but you only laughed.

"I'm sorry Shuicchi but it was so tempting!" you laughed again, "Well… now it's your turn to come down!" he yelled at you, it would have been much easier to go down there if it weren't for the fact that anything could happen.

"Err… fine I will!" you gulped, and took your chance, you went in, and landed safely next to Shuicchi, "Lets just hope this isn't a long tunnel or anything." He said.

The tunnel wasn't really that dark, the light from the outside illuminated it, and it was even easy to walk in, after a minute or so, Shuicchi was the first to step outside, "Oi Shuicchi, what's it like out there?!" you yelled out, no response.

"Fine then, I guess I'll check it out myself." You finally went outside the tunnel, what came to your vision, was probably the most beautiful place you've ever seen, it had a fairly big Sakura tree, and a whole bunch of beautiful flowers, there was enough room to run around, and it even had a pond, it was like a park, only more beautiful.

"Whoa…" the both of you said at the same time, you and Shuicchi both ran to the Sakura tree and stared at it, "How could we have missed this?" you ask him, "The other trees must be covering up the land, so no one could see it, and by the looks of it, it looks like we're the only ones to find it." he answered.

"Maybe we should mark it, to tell people that this is our land, our secret spot, you know, since we found it and all." You said, well… it was true, you know what they say, finders keepers.

"Do you have a knife?" he asked you, you stare at him, "Oh sure, let me just go get it, Uh… no I don't have a knife! Why don't you just… I don't know… pee on it?"

"No I don't want to pee on it!" he yelled, "Fine then I will!" you said back, you weren't actually going to do it; it was just to see the look on Shuicchi's face.

"_____!" he said, you laughed, "I'm just kidding, but how are we going to carve the tree?" you asked him, Shuicchi looked around to see if he could find anything, and he found… a sharp rock.

Ok… a sharp rock was not going to do anything! "Shuicchi I…" you stopped and stared at him with a dumb-founded face, he was actually carving the tree with a rock, how could he do these things damn it?!

"There we go, now, we can't tell anyone about this place, we are the only people that will know about this place, got it?" he took out his hand, you looked at it before doing anything, then, you spit on your own hand and shook his.

"Err… nice…" he said wiping off the spit on the tree, "Hey, that's how gypsies make deals!" you yelled back, "Well… I guess we have to go now, its getting dark." He looked at the sky; a few stars were already poking out, indicating it was time to leave.

"Fine, come on lets go!" the both of you looked back at your new secret spot before entering the tunnel, hoping to come back soon enough.

"Come on ____ get down from there! Can't you see that it's going to rain?!" you were startled by Kurama's voice, the sky was getting darker by the minute, and only God knows how you ended up on the tree, you must have climbed without noticing. ((Happened to me… that was really weird too @_____@))

"Oops, sorry!" you jumped off the tree, but that resulted in landing on your ass, pretty hard too, "Itai!" you jumped up and started jumping around, this is what you normally do when your butt hurts, sure it makes you look like a dork, but it helps!

Kurama couldn't help but laugh, you looked like a little five year old, "Shut up baka!" you yell at him while still jumping around, but that only made him laugh harder, ok, that was enough, you went over their and slapped him across the head.

"Itai, what was that for?!" Kurama rubbed his head and sat in front of the pond; soon, you sat next to him and smiled triumphantly, "Because you were acting like a baka."

There was an awkward silence for a moment, and the scent of rain was getting stronger, but neither of you cared, but you couldn't help but wonder what life would be like after this whole thing, after this demon chasing thing was over, and when you could finally go home, and what does that mean for Kurama?

"Oi Kurama… when this whole thing is over, everything will go back to normal… won't it?" you asked him, he smiled at you, "I suppose." He said, yes, everything will go back to the way things were, back to you and Shuicchi being the best of friends, just friends.

"Hmmm…" you lied down on the soft grass, that wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but if that wasn't it, then what was? You looked at Kurama, his long red hair flowed in the wind, and his emerald eyes sparkled while looking at the pond. ((born free… as free as the wind blows… as free as the grass grows… sorry))

"_____, can I ask you something?" he looked at you with confused eyes, "Well… you just did, but go ahead." You said, he didn't know how to ask you this, but he had to sooner or later.

"Let's say that… Yusuke likes somebody, let's call that somebody Keiko." He lied, but this was the only way, "Whoa, I knew those two liked each other, score!" another victory dance was coming on, but he sent you a look that meant stop it, "Sorry." You apologized.

"Ok well, Yusuke likes Keiko very much, but he's afraid to tell her because they've been friends for a long time, and doesn't exactly know how to tell her, he's scared that she might not feel the same way, or that they might lose a good friendship, how exactly does he tell her?"

This took quite a while to think, until you finally got something, "Well… the best thing to do is tell her, if she doesn't feel the same way, which I doubt, then they can just go back to being friends, I mean, friends don't hold each other out like that."

What a hypocritical answer, here you are telling him to tell her, and yet, you don't even tell Kurama how you possibly feel.

"Oh, well thanks ____, I'll be sure to tell him that." He lied down next to you, he looked like he was deep in thought, "What are you thinking oh." A raindrop fell on your nose, then on your forehead, then another one, and another one, until it started to rain quite hard.

((Note, you are not wearing white, sorry, I'm not that good in designing outfits.)) You and Kurama started laughing for no apparent reason, except for the fact that the both of you were getting soaked.

"Come on ____, let's go." Kurama said, but you lied back down in protest, "Oh come on, it's just a little, well, a lot of rain, but it's not going to do anything to us." Just then a lightning bolt crashed down next to the tree, which made you jump up in surprise.

"Ok, let's go!" you ran off to the tunnel, but Kurama grabbed your wrist so you wouldn't leave, and when you turned around, the most unsuspected thing happened…

((Good place to stop! No, I'm just messing with you…))

Without warning, Kurama kissed you fully; your eyes went wide in shock, `oh…what do I do, what do I do?' a whole bunch of feeling passed through your body, happiness, love, and fear.

The rain was pouring in harder, the thunder getting louder, but it was like neither was there, all Kurama was concentrating on was you, and only you, he finally let go, and looked into your eyes, they displayed multiple things, but the one he didn't want to see was rejection.

"I'm sorry ____, I shouldn't have done that, come on, lets go." He left for the tunnel, but you didn't move, shock was still in you, and the words that escaped Kurama's mouth hurt you, "I shouldn't have done that."

"Kurama wait!" you yelled for him, he turned around and stared at you, "I'm sorry… I… don't know what to do…" you said, you didn't know whether you should say I love you, or say nothing at all.

"No… I'm sorry that I did that, it was a mistake." He said with a little hurt in his voice, he looked at you, and it looked like you were on the verge of tears.

"I didn't think it was a mistake." A kiss should never be a mistake, that's what you always believed at least, a single tear ran down your face, but it went unnoticed when it blended with the rain.

"What are you saying _____?" He looked into your eyes looking for an answer, you smiled and looked back.

"I'm saying that it was fate, it was fate we met, it was fate that I'm a demon, it was fate that you kissed me, and it was fate that… I fell in love with you."

Kurama's eyes went a little wide, he smiled at you, and stared into your _ (color) _ eyes, your heart was pounding, and your cheeks were pink, it was like you were paralyzed.

"I love you too _____." He whispered, you let out a small gasp, he said the words that you were longing to hear, I love you, he captured you lips again, and this time, you kissed him back, he held your waist and if possible, pulled you closer, your hands snaked around his neck.

The rain was pouring harder, and the thunder was getting louder, but neither of you cared, because this was truly bliss.

Sammy: …… this was a corny chapter, but I guess it made some fan-girls happy. *sigh* I'm having serious writers block with the other story… sorry for those reading that one.
