Millie: Okay now it is time for yet another chapter.

Hiei: Hn.

Millie: What?

Hiei: *looks sad…….sort of*

Millie: Is this because Black is gone?!?!?!

Hiei: Hn. No baka.

Millie: Then what's wrong?

Hiei: I CAN'T FIND THE SWEET SNOW?!?!?!

Millie: 0_0;;; Did you ever think that someone may have eaten it all?

Hiei: 0_0………………….>.< LIKE WHO?!?!?! GIVE ME A NAME!!! WHO WAS IT BAKA, THAT ATE ALL MY SWEET SNOW?!?!?!?!?!?!

Millie: Uhh I got to go. Hehe Have fun reading!!! *waves off*

Hiei: *looks REAL MAD ANGRY now*

Lyrics P.O.V.

 

We all gathered into the dining room that had a chestnut wooden table big enough for everyone to have a place. The walls were a golden, dark yellow and the sunlight shined through the many windows. Hiei was standing at one of the windows looking over at Kaline; no doubt they were having a little telepathic conversation amongst one another. Kuwabara was sitting at one of the chairs that was placed next to Genkai. I was standing up, leaning on the wall and Kurama was no more than a few feet away standing as well.

“So what does this thing do anyway? How do you make it work?” asked Kuwabara looking all over the book, lifting up the sides of it and flipping through the pages. Genkai snatched it from his hands and flipped to a certain page in particular. She scolded him for doing it and he slowly sat down.

“This book shows us hints of who, what, and where certain things that we want to see and know are. We ask certain questions and it gives us clues that we must follow.”

“Psh seems like a bunch of rules to me.” said Yusuke who was rubbing his head severely. There was a huge bump on his neck.

“Well it's so nice of you to back out of unconsciousness to be with us.” replied Genkai.

~Wow he's dumb~ I thought.

~We all know that.~ Kaline agreed.

“So how do we do this?” asked Kurama.

“Well what you do is you come up here and say a spell to open the portal to the realm of future seeing beings. Then you ask a question and they will either speak through the person that opened the portal or they will write it in the book and the words will appear.”

“So who is going to do this?” asked Kaline.

“The only person who can.”

“Stop being so vague you old hag and just tell us.”

“Lyric must do it.” I looked shocked.

“What? Why do I have to do it? Why can't Kaline or Kurama do it?” I asked.

“Because you are the only true spellcaster.” answered Genkai. She motioned for me to go over to where the book was. I walked over and asked what the spell was. I stood in front of the book and put my hands on the top corners of the books.

“You're sure I'm not going to go flying into a vortex of doom?”

“Lyric shut up and just do it.” I rolled my eyes. I looked over to Genkai, getting ready for the signal to start, making sure everyone was ready. She nodded her head in approval. I closed my eyes and concentrated as hard as I could on what I had to do.

“Silenthros” I said in a clear tone. Pictures flew through my brain. Some of kids being tortured, others of presidents giving speeches. The pictures were in black and white as if they had already happened. I didn't quite understand why I was seeing these things until I finally saw a dark room, lit only by the fire that was in the middle of it. A man was sitting just few inches beyond. He had a cloak with a hood on. He had the cloak up and all you could see of him were the outlines of his lower face. A line of a nose, a slight curve for his mouth, the creepy smile he gave me as I walked into the room. It was like I had been sucked into another dimension and brought to a place of mystery and the unknown.

“Well hello Lyric Miyaki.” He said in a deep voice. The words echoed through the room as if he were repeating it to himself.

“How do you know my name?”

“I can tell all, don't you know?” He said. Something in me didn't feel right. This didn't seem like the place I should be.

 

Kurama's P.O.V.

 

We had all assembled into the dining room and were informed of what we could do to help with our situation. I saw Lyric scanning the room looking for the expressions on everyone's face when Genkai told us that we could find out from a demon sorcerer who specializes in future telling. Since Lyric is the only one that was a spellcaster, she was the only one that could say the spell and let us get closer to what this person has in store for us.

“Master Genkai, do you really think it is safe for her to do this?” I asked, knowing that we were dealing with high class demons.

“Yes I am Kurama. We are here if she needs our help.” I nodded my head. Before Lyric went up to the stand that had been in the room I walked over to her.

“Are you sure you want to do this? I have heard about these things and they are not the safest.” She looked at me, her hazel eyes piercing mine.

“I am sure Kurama. Don't worry nothing will happen ok?” She asked me.

“Be careful.” She nodded and went up to the stand. She put the palms of her hands on the top corners of the book and said `silenthros.' A bright light shined all around her as she concentrated. She had been in a state of wariness for a while now I was afraid something had happened.

“Genkai what is wrong?”

“I don't know. It should be working by now. She shouldn't be like this. Kurama Yusuke take her into the other room. Something is wrong.” We did as told and laid her on the couch.

 

Lyric's P.O.V.

 

“Please sit. I have been waiting for you for some time now.” This mystery man said. I was a little hesitant about it but I quietly sat down a few feet away from the fire on the opposite side of him.

“I know what it is you truly seek.”

“Yes. Now who is this person that is after us?” I asked.

“That is not what you truly seek my child.” He replied. I looked at him confused.

“Oh yeah? And what is it that I truly seek?” I asked interested in what he thought I truly wanted.

“There are many things.” Was all he said.

“Look I am here because I need to know who this person is. So could you tell me?”

“Getting a little testy are we? If you wish to know then just ask.” He looked at me like eh wanted me to say a certain thing.

“Ok, who is this person that is after us?”

“Well this easy my child. It is your father.” My heart skipped a beat.

“No no no. I think you misunderstood me.”

“I did not make any mistake and you need not question my abilities.”

“My father is dead and you know it. He died in battle, He couldn't possibly be doing this. Now stop playing jokes on me and tell me who it really is.” I got up to my feet. He looked angry like I had disrespected him, which I had.

“Do I look like I am laughing? Now you give me the respect I ought to have.” He said and put his hand out in front of him. As I stood there I could rapidly feel my throat tighten. I felt like I was choking. I put my hands up to my throat but could feel nothing grasping my neck. I started gasping for air when I was suddenly forced to the floor. He walked over to me and leaned down as if to pick something up. Instead he just put his lips up to my ear.

“Hello daughter.” He laughed evilly. I thought to myself, he is not my father. Why was he saying these things? “I suggest if you want to get any of those answers ask Kaline. She knows all about it.”

“Wha-what are you talking about?”

“Remember those dreams of yours?” I thought long and hard but the visions flooded my mind.

“Those are- those are real?”

“Oh yes. I am your real father Lyric and I want you dead.”

~Oh fuck. He's gonna kill me right here.~ I started to tear up but I wouldn't let myself cry in front of him.

“Don't worry I'm not going to kill. At least not yet.”
”Oh yeah and what are you going to do to me?”

 

Kurama's P.O.V.

 

We all watched her and waited for her to come back to us and tell us what happened.

“Isn't there anything we can do for her?” I asked, worried.

“I'm sorry but no. She must come out of this alone.” After she said this we heard a loud gagging noise. “Lyric!! Lyric are you alright?” She was seizing and couldn't breathe. Her hands were up to her throat as if she had been choking herself. I quickly lowered her hands to see bruises and cuts all along her neck.

“Who could be doing this?” I asked.

“I know. Fuck he has her. He got her.” replied Kaline

“Onna is this who I think it is?” Hiei asked her.

“I'm afraid so.”

“Have you known who this person is this whole time?” asked Genkai. She slowly nodded her head. “Who?”

“Our father.” We all looked astonished. “Lyric is my sister. I had to take her to another family for safety because he was too violent and she wasn't old enough to defend herself yet.” She told us the whole story.

“Is there anyway we can stop him?”

“No. Not now. Not in this situation anyway. She has to fight him.”
