Haru shakily reached to a sheath on his waist and pulled out a weapon that was halfway between a sword and a dagger, holding it in front of him. Kira froze and put her hand on her hip as she leaned on one foot. “Going to fight me Haru? Do you know how long I have waited to kick your ass? You have pushed me too far. You will receive no mercy.” She stated with a grin on her lips but she did not move. Haru's grip on his weapon tightened and he charged her. He raised the weapon about to bring it down on her but she caught the blade in her hand. She held it still, blood dripping down the blade and from her hand, “A small sacrifice for something greater in return.” She used her free hand and punched him hard in the stomach making him fly backwards into the wall while she was still holding onto the blade. She turned the blade so she was holding the hilt. She swung it around a few times to adjust to the size and in the corner of her eye so saw Haru wobble to his feet, clutching the wall. “Ready?” She asked and moved before he could respond. She pushed him against the wall, holding him by the throat. “You have made my life a living hell. I would be honored to return the favor.” She kneed him hard in the stomach and he grunted loudly. She smiled at him and kneed him a little lower. He grunted again, this time louder. She smiled again and put the blade to his throat.

“Please. Please don't.” He begged.

“Why? What have you done to earn the chance to preserve your life?” She asked coldly.

“Please, I'll do anything.”

“Hm. Let me think? No.” She said as she pushed the blade harder, cutting his skin. With one last scream his life ended and his body fell to the floor. Kira smirked and threw the blade to the side. She turned around and watched as Riku use attack after attack against Koharu but nothing got past his defenses. He kicked her hard in the head and she went flying backwards. She looked over at Kira quickly as if giving her permission before she closed her eyes and lost consciousness. Kira smiled in understanding and broke the shackle on her right wrist with her hand and let the pieces fall to the ground, clattering. Koharu turned to face her and smiled.

“Now dear, I don't want to fight you.” He said as he began coming closer to her. He seemed to not notice the shackle missing from her wrist.

“Don't worry dear. I have no problem fighting you.” She almost gagged as she said `dear' but she punched him in the stomach, which hurt even more when since her fist was flaming. He flew backwards as few meters and landed on the ground on his back. He did a flip and ended back on his feet, holding his stomach were the clothing was burnt off and his skin was black from the burn. Kira looked over to Haru's body and appeared next to him. She grabbed a few of his darts and turned to look at Koharu over her shoulder to see him charging her. Right before he reached her she did a flip over him and threw the darts' pinning him to the wall.

“Goodbye Dear.” Kira sneered as her whole right arm was engulfed in black and silver flames. Her hair began to fly everywhere and her eyes turned solid black. “Fox of the Darkness Flame!!” She shouted and her beloved Haven leapt off her arm. The flaming fox ran around the room on the walls and the appeared again in front of Kira. Kira petted the fox on the head and then pointed to Koharu. “Your food awaits, Haven.” The fox turned to Koharu and charged at him. He struggled against the darts holding him down and his eyes widened as he failed to free himself and turned to the oncoming flaming fox. The fox ran straight into him and he was induced into extreme pain. He screamed bloody murder as he felt as if his flesh was being torn from his skin. Kira smirked in amusement at her tormentor in mind numbing pain. She suddenly collapsed to the floor on her butt and watched as Koharu was ripped to shreds. Finally it was all over. The screams came to an abrupt halt and everything became silent. Kira sat on the ground panting and looked at the ground. She looked up when two flaming feet came into view and saw Haven looking at her with her head cocked to the side. Kira patted her on the muzzle affectionately and said, “It is time for you to return. Haven nodded and backed up. She took one more lap around the room this time right next to the ceiling and then ran straight towards Kira, turning into a streak of black and silver light and flew straight into her arm. Kira gritted her teeth and sighed as soon as Haven appeared as a tattoo on her arm. She looked down at the fox and fell backwards, being caught by someone before she hit the floor. She looked up into concerned red eyes.

“I'm fine Hiei, just tired.” She said as she closed her eyes.

Hiei lifted her up and she heard a familiar voice say, “Thanks for saving us Kiru.”

“No problem Yukina.” Kiru muttered before losing consciousness.

Kiru woke up in a dark room. She sat up quickly, a movement that her body deeply protested. She withheld a groan of pain as she heard the door behind her open. She turned around to find Yukina standing in the doorway.

“Kiru! You are awake!” Yukina squealed in happiness and rushed over to Kiru, hugging her tightly.

“Yukina,” Kiru gasped out, “Can't breathe.”

“Oh,” Yukina let go of her blushing, “Sorry.” She stood up and said, “I need to tell Kurama that you are awake. He has been worried sick about you since we arrived back from that castle. You know that right when you went unconscious the place began to collapse?”

Kira smiled and said, “That was Haven's doing. Hey Yukina, where am I?”

“You are in Genkai's temple.” Yukina told her.

“Oh, thanks.” Yukina nodded and left to fetch Kiru's brother. Kira sighed and scooted closer to the wall and rested against it. She looked down to find herself in a plain black t-shirt and black pants. She closed her eyes and suddenly felt a presence outside the room. “Hello Hiei.” She turned her head to were she knew the window rested behind black curtains. She heard the opening of the window and saw a shadow enter the room without disturbing the curtains.

Hiei leaned against the wall and they sat in silence until Hiei asked, “Have your wounds healed?”

“Yes. I am fine now.” Kiru answered slightly surprised that Hiei had started a conversation.

“That was an impressive attack on Koharu.”

Kira pulled her knees to her chest and rested her head on them. “No one can hurt my friends and get away with it. He had hurt Riku, Blaze and myself for too long.” Kira replied watching Hiei as she spoke. Hiei nodded and both of their heads snapped towards the hallway where hurried footsteps alerted them that they would not be alone for long. Kiru turned her head back towards the spot where Hiei stood to find the fire demon gone. Her head snapped to the door when it was thrown open and Kurama stood in the doorway glaring at Kiru who just smiled at him.

“If you ever risk your life like that again I will hunt you down and kill you understood?” Kurama yelled at Kiru who stood and hugged her brother.

“Thanks Kurama. I am glad to have found you.” She released him and slipped out the door walking down the hallway.

When she was safely in the living room after it took her a few minutes to find it she laughed out loud and a second later Kurama's voice thundered out, “Kiru! Get your ass back here!”

Kiru walked causally out the front door where she met Yusuke and Kuwabara, “Was that Kurama cussing?” Yusuke asked. When Kiru nodded he said, “Wow. Congratulations. I never thought he even knew was a cuss word was.”

“This is nothing. When he was Yoko he cussed every other word.” Kiru said as she walked passed them.

“Where are you going? If you leave Kurama's going to kill you.” Kuwabara said loudly enough for Kiru to hear him but she just waved at him before entering the forest. She walked a few meters in before she was joined by two figures.

“Seems like we all had the same idea.” Kiru said as she smirked back to the two people behind her.

“It appears that way.” Blaze said softly joining in Kiru's smirking.

“You would think you two are sisters instead of me and Blaze by your attitudes.” Riku said causing Blaze to punch her into the shoulder.

They entered a clearing and they sat chatting for a few moments. “Hey, while we are here in Ningenkai why don't we go shopping?” Riku suggested, “I mean we still have money from being here so long so we might as well.”

Both Kiru and Blaze looked at her like she was insane. Riku just grinned at the two. They all heard movement a little while away from them and they strained their ears to listen.

“If I ever find that sister if mine I will tie her up and throw her into a warded room forever.” Kurama's voice stated as he walked through the forest followed by Kuwabara and Yusuke.

Kiru turned to Riku and said, “Shopping sounds like a good idea.” The three ran away from Kurama and the others and laughed as they escaped around the boys and ran down the stairs two at a time.

They arrived in the city after ten minutes of running and Blaze turned to Kiru as they walked down a street towards the mall, “Kurama is going to kill you when he finds you.”

“The key word you forgot was `if' he finds me.” Kiru replied as they entered the large mall. “I have been hiding from him for a year before we actually talked to him in school.”

They entered a hot topic store and shopped around for clothes and left with two bags each. “The only reason he did not find you before was because he was no looking for you. My I remind you that your older brother is the Legendary Yoko Kurama.” Riku said as both she and Blaze dragged her into a kimono store.

They all looked at the kimonos and Blaze said, “She has a point there.” She chose a red kimono that had black fire covering the edges and had a black sash.

“You guys worry to much.” Kiru said as she modeled a silver kimono with a large black fox in the right corner. There were black petals blowing all around the rest of the dress and it also had a black sash.

Riku walked from the dressing room in a blue kimono that had a pink Sakura tree with petals flowing off of it and had a pink sash, “I believe we worry for a good reason.” She said as she pointed out the window where Kurama was passing by with Yusuke and Kuwabara. They all dashed into a dressing room when Kurama started to turn in their direction. They all started giggling and Blaze opened the door a crack to look out the window for any sighs of Kurama but the coast was clear.

“They're gone.” Blaze said and they all returned to their original dressing rooms and changed into their original clothing fast purchasing the clothing and leaving the mall, avoiding Kurama again. They ran to Riku and Kiru's house and they all closed the black curtains Kiru collapse on the couch and the sisters did the same on either side of her. They rested for a minute before Kiru stood and stretched.

“Well, I'm off to take a nap.” Kiru said and she walked upstairs into the darkness of her room. She opened up the window and Hiei appeared behind her a second later. She leaned her arm on the window looking at the stars in the sky.

“You know your brother is throwing a hissy fit right now.” Hiei said as he sat on the edge of her bed with his legs crossed.

Kiru sighed and said, “I know.” She stood, closing her window and walking over to collapse next to Hiei on the bed, closing her eyes. “I might as well enjoy the little freedom I have before he comes to get me. Right?”

Hiei nodded but said, “Yes,” because she could not see him with her eyes closed. Kiru smirked and stifled a yawn. Hiei stood and patted Kiru on the head, an action that he never did and made Kiru's eyes pop open. “Go to sleep little one. I will keep Kurama at bay for a few hours.” Kiru's eyes closed and she nodded. Hiei looked down at Kiru and as quick as lightning pecked her on the lips and disappeared out the window. Again her eyes popped open and she sat up. She looked out the open window and a small smile graced her lips. She stood and closed the window before plopping down on her bed and falling into a peaceful sleep.
