*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~What Happened With Everyone Else~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The Inu group just watched with amusement and confusion as first Kagome
and much later on Sesshomaru left the confines of the hut. But after pondering
for a bit everyone just shrugged and went back to their normal business.
Shippou, gathering Kirara in his arms walked over to Sango who had taken
out her weapons and was sharpening each of the respective blades.
“Sango, can I go play with Kirara?”
Glancing up from her current task over at the kit, she gave the request a moments thought before nodding her consent.
Squealing with joy he ran out the door, a barely remembered “Thank You!” tossed over his shoulder as he swiftly disappeared into the busily milling village to gather some of his playmates together.
Chuckling to her self Sango finished and re-sheathed most of her blades and put them back into their concealed places on her person. Standing up and shouldering her favorite weapon of choice she headed across the room to go to the practice range she had built when first she had come to this village.
Ducking to go through the door she brushed the mat out of the way, instead of just running Pell Mel through it like some other hyper active kit we all know, and left.
A single eye cracked open as Miroku watched Sango leave from his place resting against the hut wall.
Smirking he stood up from his assumed meditation position on the floor and dusted off his robes. His staff made a small jangleing sound as he lifted it from it‘s resting in the corner, then he too left the hut, only Miroku’s destination was the village market.
For as the saying goes, ‘While the cat is away, the mice will play!’
Kaede watched the receding back of the dubious monk with a knowing eye. Shook her head a few times and turned back to her work. She was going to go through all of her many scrolls in hopes that she might find something of use in the current predicament.
Fortunately, or un-fortunately, depending on how you looked at it, she had many, many scrolls on a variety of different subjects concerning miko’s, their duties, and any other aspects concerning their lives.
She shifted into a more comfortable position for Kaede had no doubt that this would take many hours, if not days.
“Inuyasha child, will ye see if ye can find something for supper?”
One of Inuyasha’s ears flicked back to listen to his request,
“Keh, fine, I’ll be back in a bit.”
Stretching his arms above his head Inuyasha bounded out the door.

Stooping down, Kaede set down the basket of vegetables she had just picked from the garden out back. It was almost dusk now and no one had yet come back.
Besides, she was old and needed to give her eyes a rest. As she was setting about preparing the Vegetables Kaede felt a sudden jolt along her senses.
A massive concentrated amount of pure spiritual energy was headed on a direct path straight for her. It was all she could do to just gather up her bow and a quiver of arrows before the bamboo mat that covered the entrance way to her home was pushed aside.
Only to revel none other than Kagome.
Sinking to the floor Kaede was only able to gaze blankly at the child before her.
She had never before felt such an overwhelming power before, spiritual, youki, or other wise.
Kaede was finally able to find her voice when it seamed apparent that Kagome was about to leave.
“Child”
her voice was raspy but it did the trick. Kagome stopped what she was doing and looked at Kaede,
“When ye have calmed down, return to me and we will discuss what has transpired. I shall inform the rest that ye have left for home.”
All that she received in reply was a curt nod and she was gone, the bamboo rustling closed behind her.
Heaving a sigh Kaede turned to put away her bow
‘I wonder what has happened to have sparked your anger so child. Kami help them whoever they are’.
It was full twilight before everyone was again gathered together again in Kaede’s cozy hut.
“OI! Old hag! Where's Kagome?”
A twitch appeared over her eye before,
WHAP!
“OWWWWW, wat ya do that for Miroku!?”
Lifting his staff from it’s current position onto of the hapless hanyou’s head Inuyasha’s only reply was a,
“Don’t be rude Inuyasha, but Lady Kaede, I too am wondering where the Lady Kagome has run off too.”
Kaede just simply stated,
“Kagome has gone home”
Sango turned an irritated eye on Inuyasha,
“What did you this time, huh Inu?”
Stuffing his arms into the folds of his sleeves the now surly hanyou turned his head to look off into the distance,
“Feh, Nothing. An I can’t believe that wench. I’m going to go drag her back here at first light tomorrow. We’ve got jewel shards to find!”
Kaede calmly stirred the stew pot in front of her,
“I would not advise ye to try that at this time Inuyasha. You might be in some danger. When Kagome left, her powers were sparking and out of control. I did not expect her to have such power.”
Inuyasha paused from his rant,
“what do you mean ya old hag”.
Fixing her only eye on him she continued.
“What I mean is that I have never seen anyone with so much raw power in my life. Not even my sister Kikyo comes close to this. So I advise ye Inuyasha to give her some time to cool down before ye try to bring her back.”
