The light flashed violently, churning brilliantly around an indistinct form. It twined protectively over the figures features, obstructing them from view. Undefined beauty hid in the twining light, captivating and intoxicating.

"Hiei…" a shocked voice whispered.

Then an explosion, and the bright lights turned vengeful red, shot through with evil streaks of black. It convulsed and shuddered and the figure trapped within its coils writhed in torture. Slowly it began to creep outward, reaching for them, clawing like some primal beast. Frozen, rooted to the spot, they stared as it stretched toward them, like some dark hand of doom. Terror raced through them, swamping their minds.

A piercing scream of pure rage erupted from its core, and the evil thing jerked and spasmed. A vortex opened at its source and sucked the foulness back from them. The black thing strained against an invisible force, and a shriek of tortured and warped energy split through their skulls mutating quickly into one of savage joy. It heaved its heavy, twisted coils back as its bloated rage found a new target.

"No!" an agonized voice cried out. Anguish permeated the voice as the speaker watched in horror as his lover was consumed. "No! Hiei! It will kill you! Hiei! HIEI!"
