[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Kurama was violently jolted awake by a thunderous roar. Glancing out the window, he notices the dark, furious clouds casting the world into shadow. Lightning streaked down to touch the ground with brilliant fingers. For a fleeting instant the city was lit with a pale, sickly light that made everything look empty and abandoned like a ghost town. A chill clawed its way up his back, and he couldn't suppress the shiver of cold dread that swamped him. He slowly stood and stumbled his way to the bathroom, flipping on the light and squinting at the abrupt glare. Turning on the faucet he let the run for a moment as he examined himself in the mirror. His clothes were rumpled, his button up shirt open wide at the neck and untucked in the back. A crease ran it's way across his forehead, and he smirked at the fiendish look it gave him.

"Grrr!" He growled at his reflection playfully, scrunching his face into a terrible scowl, which was ruined by his unruly hair and the mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Laughing at himself he swipes a washrag from the counter and soaks it before rubbing his face. Refreshed he walked back into his bedroom.

His desk was a mess, papers rumpled and wrinkly, especially where he had fallen asleep.

I really need to stop falling asleep at my desk, he thought to himself, shaking his head ruefully. Checking the clock he frowned ate the time shown: 6:00 PM. It was still early, so why had he fallen asleep? He hadn't even felt sleepy.

A gust of wind and a sudden magnification of the brutal sounds coming from outside told him the window had been opened. He turned to see a dark form slip into the room and turn to latch the window. Rushing over to hug his guest, he quickly discovered that his visitor was soaking wet, it must have been raining.

"Missed ya…" he purred in the others ear
