Hiei's mouth stayed on her neck, then strayed a little lower; before they got too far, someone cleared their throat.

 

...It was Yoko...with a smirk.

 

"I'm just curious to know what will keep you two away from each other."

 

Hiei was glaring at him while Reiken slowly got out from under him.

 

"Was there....um something you wanted?" Reiken asked with a slight blush.

 

"No, nothing at all."

 

"Then why are you here?" Reiken suddenly accused.

 

Yoko's smirk widened. "Someone has to keep you lovebirds in check."

 

"We are not lovebirds!" Reiken might as well have shouted.

 

"Then how come you two are always kissing?"

 

Reiken pointed at Hiei "He's the one who kisses me, he's the one who starts it!"

 

Now Hiei was glaring at her, she saw this.

 

"It's true!" she accused.

 

"Hn. As true as you haven't yet objected." he replied with a smirk of his own. Now a deep crimson blush was seen on Reiken's cheeks. A small objective sound came out of her mouth, but there was nothing she could say.

 

Yoko was laughing so hard that he had tears coming out of his eyes.

 

Reiken folded her arms stood up and started to walk away.

 

"Where are you going?" Hiei questioned.

 

"Somewhere!" she answered. As she walked by Yoko, she pushed him hard enough for him to fall to the ground. He was still laughing, and Reiken took off.

 

 

 

"Where were you?!" Yusuke questioned his musume with narrowed eyes.

 

Reiken shrugged and replied "Nowhere." she was still pissed and vowed to get them both back for that. "Why?" she asked her otoosan.

 

Yusuke shrugged. "No reason, why?"

 

"No reason."

 

Genkai rolled her eyes "You two are too much alike."

 

"I am not like him/her." they shouted at the same exact time.

 

"Huh-uh, that just proved it." Genkai said in a bored voice.

 

"Hmph!" Reiken replied and started mumbling.

 

"Dimwits." Genkai muttered under her breath.

 

 

 

Everyone was currently waiting for Koenma to show up. Reiken sat on the desk, indian style and Ri jumped on her lap. Ri was extremely tired as she curled up and fell asleep in minutes.

 

Reiken was stroking Ri's hair. Yusuke leaning back in his chair, Kuwabara staring dumbly at nothing, Yoko looking out a window, Hiei in his corner watching Reiken, Chuu on the floor (drunk), Jin entertaining himself by making minature tornados, Yukina and Toya talking, Rinku fooling with his yo-yos and Genkai watching the whole lot of them. 'Hm, Koenma better hurry up or they'll all end up dying of boredom.'

 

Ri tightly groaned and shifted to a more comfortable position. Reiken started stroking her hair again when light wind blew through the room, making her hair float with it. They all looked at Jin, who just shrugged "Wel' ther's not much else ta do"

 

"Dammit!" Yusuke suddenly voiced "Where the hell is that...that...erm..."

 

"Otoosan."

 

"Nani?"

 

"Don't strain your brain thinking of a new insult to throw at him."

 

"Oh, shut up!" he said kicking the desk, which made her glare at him.

 

"Sorry to keep you waiting."

 

"You better be sorry! We've been waiting three hours!"

 

"Uhh.r.r.right."

 

"What'd ya fin' out?" Jin asked.

 

Koenma gulped. "The tournament starts tomorrow."

 

"WHAAAATT!?" Yusuke shouted, making everyone in the room jump or wince; although, they all felt the same.

 

Yusuke was about to attack Koenma, but Reiken suddenly stepped in front of him.

 

"Otoosan, that's not going to get anyone anywhere. What's done is done, it can't be changed.

 

Yusuke stared at her then turned and stomped back to his chair.

 

"How are we do get there?" Reiken asked Koenma gently.

 

 

 

"I can't believe this!" Kuwabara shouted.

 

Hiei growled. "Baka! You're making my eardrums bleed!"

 

They were currently riding on Puu's back. Yusuke was in front, Kuwabara behind him with Reiken between him and Hiei. This just made Reiken even more nervous and aggrivated.

 

Jin, was carrying Rinku, Chu, and Toya on a light wind while Yoko had his own ride.

 

"Otoosan!" Reiken shouted over the wind.

 

"Nani?"

 

"How much longer?"

 

"How the hell am I supposed to know?"

 

Reiken rolled her eyes. She didn't know how much longer she could take this.

 

"There it is!" Kuwabara shouted in excitement.

 

Sure enough, there it was, a castle on a small piece of land, floating in the middle of the sky. Puu landed near the entrance gates. Yusuke and Kuwabara quickly and greatefully jumped off. Hiei got off next and noticed Reikens distress.

 

He smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Need help."

 

She glared at him "No, I'm just fine." she hissed through gritted teeth and when she got down, she tripped. Hiei steadied her and Reiken found herself facing his chest. She straightened her body when she slowly looked up at him and lightly gulped.

 

Hiei's hands were rested on her waist while hers were lightly resting on his chest wtih her fingers sofly curled against the fabric of his coat. Their faces slowly getting closer. Reiken slowly shut her eyes....felt his breath....

 

"Reiken!" Far off, it seemed, she heard her father's voice.

 

She gave a soft gasp and let her eyes fletter open. She looked at Hiei for a second then very reluctantly withdrew with a mumbled "Arigato." she left his warm embrace.

 

Hiei gave an agitatede sigh as he watched her leave.

 

"Hey lil' lass! Can yah help?" Jin and Rinku were trying to wake Chuu up by heaving him to a sitting position.

 

Yoko slowly walked to Yusuke.

 

"You do realize that you can't stop the forever, right?"

 

"I can sure as hell try." Yusuke growled.

 

Yoko gave a sigh "Listen Yusuke, its bound to happen, either way you go. You can try forever; but it will happen."

 

"Yoko, its none of your business." Yusuke's teeth gritted.

 

"All a matter of opinion, what would you rather have Yusuke? Do you want ehr forced into something."

 

"What do you mean 'forced'?"

 

"Don't be a baka! She's the daughter of the most powerful youkai lord. There are demons out there that will force her into something, and then none of us could do a damn thing about it. Or would you rather have her happy and willing?"

 

Yusuke's face darkened.

 

"Yoko?!" Reiken shouted.

 

"Yeah?" he answered.

 

"Do you have anymore of that waking herb?" she asked.

 

Yoko sighed. "I'll be right there!"

 

"I..." Yusuke started.

 

"Think about it, Yusuke. Think about it." Yoko had cut him off and went over to the small group gathered around Chuu.

 

"Here." Yoko said, handing Reiken a small pouch.

 

"Thanks." she said with some relief. She knelt down by Chuu's head and put a pinch of waking herbs into his mouth. She, then handed Yoko back the pouch.

 

Chuu started grumbling about something, but no one knew what he was talking about. He was soon sitting up.

 

"Well, are we going in now or what?" Toya asked.

 

"Don't see why not." Rinku said, heading towards the entrance gates. Everyone followed him.

 

"Now what?" Reiken asked while looking around at the other groups in the crowded entrance hall.

 

"Hell if I know." Yusuke muttered.

 

"Isn't there a place to sign in?" Toya questioned.

 

"Should be." Yoko agreed.

 

"Hn." Hiei was looking around at the other demons "Bunch of weaklings." he muttered.

 

"Of course, maybe to you." Reiken's reply was bitter.

 

Hiei glanced over at her, but she was looking for something.

 

"Aha! There's the desk. I'll sign in." she hurried off.

 

"Hey!" Yusuke shouted at her back.

 

"Does the lil' lass know the name?" Jin voiced thoughtfully.

 

Yoko chuckled "Should be easy enough to figure out."

 

"Don't see how." Kuwabara muttered.

 

Hiei scoffed at him "Oaf."

 

"What was that, shrimp?!"

 

"Either your stupidity cloggs those ears or your tiny brain can't register anything."

 

"What?!" Kuwabara yelled.

 

"Cut it out, you two!" Rinku warned looking away at an anouncer who had started talking.

 

"Hello, everyone and welcome to Castle Kurai!"

 

A lot of demons shouted and hollered, soem whopping, others clapping the only ones who hadn't joined in were Reiken, Hiei, Chuu, Toya, Jin and Yoko, the rest of their group was clapping and shouting.

 

Yoko shook his head at their immaturity.

 

Reiken came back and muttered "figures."

 

"Alright, alright! Calm down." the announcer said as the yelling subsided.

 

"My name is Kura! And I am to tell you that we are going to have an elimination round! As you can guess some teams will be taken out before the tournament even begins, we are starting now!"

 

Once again the crowd started going wild.

 

"Has everyone signed their teams in?" Kuso asked.

 

Their were a lot of 'Yeahs', and 'of courses.'

 

"Alright then! Let's get back outdoors and get this party started!"

 

Most demons raced outside or fought to get out the doors.

 

"Pathetic." Hiei scoffed as Kuwabara and Yusuke joined the crazed throng.

 

Jin smiled "Wha 'bout you lil' lass, ain't ya gonna join yet dad." he was teasing.

 

Reiken glared at him "Oh, haha, very funny."

 

The others laughed.
