Reiken was drenched in sweat, her body was heavy and shaking from exhaustion, and her energy was drained.

 

"Reiken!"

 

Her eyes slowly opened and saw the old hag.

 

"Nani?"

 

"Futatabi tamesa! Ima!"

 

She groaned, now she understood why her otoosan called her 'old hag! She had been trying, but horribly failing to blow that blasted rock up. She wasn't at all sure nani the old hag was waiting for.

 

"Nai....juubun...genki!"

 

"It surely doesn't sound that way if your mouth's moving! Ima, Futatabi tamesa!"

 

Growling, she managed to get some genki, but not nearly enough, to top that off she was in her full demon form.

 

"I said try, you worthless lump!"

 

"I am trying, old hag!"

 

"Apparently not hard enough!"

 

"Nani? Are you tring to kill me?!"

 

"If that's nani it takes, then yes!"

 

"Ii!" Reikens eyes seemed to hold a dangerous gleam as her aura suddenly flared and gathered into her left hand and into the index finger, then exploded out of her straight at the rock and finally blowing the damned thing up! So much so that it wasn't recongizable.

 

She sank to the ground as her ears and tail disappeared, her eyes turned back to the brown. She was quite perplexed and just stared at her hand.

 

"No nani....just...the...hell transpired?!"

 

Genkai looked at the girl with an amused expression. 'She's entirely used and exhausted as hell; yet, she uses 'transpired' instead of 'happened' ?'

 

Reiken looked up at Genkai. "Well, old hag, you going to delight me or not?"

 

"For a 15-year-old girl, you know your vocabulary, but you have trouble with that mouth and temper."

 

Reiken just glared at her. "Will you just answer!"

 

"Well, I suppose I could indulge your wishes."

 

Reiken growled.

 

"That...was a spirit blast..."

 

"I know nani it is! I asked how!"

 

Genkai glared ath the girl, "Impatient brat, aren't you. The reason that it's possible is because your otoosan has that power and it continues in you."

 

Thoughtfully looking at her hand Reiken asked, "Was that nani you were waiting for."

 

Genkai looked at her. "Very astute. Ima get off that lump and follow me." Genkai started back inside.

 

"Old hag." Reiken grumbled, missing Genkai's smile.

 

 

 

They entered the training room that Yusuke added when he was younger.

 

As soon as Reiken entered, she had to duck.

 

"Sorry 'bout that lil' lass." Jin said coming over.

 

"It's okay."

 

"Well, old hag."

 

"She does have spirit energy same as you."

 

"Tha's somethin' to be prou' of." Chou said coming over, making Reiken wrinkle her nose from the smell of alcohol.

 

"Rinku, you and Reiken will battle."

 

"Quit your belly aching and just do it."

 

Grumbling she got in place, facing Rinku.

 

"Ready?" Rinku asked.

 

"Not really." she mumbled.

 

"Fight!" Genkai said.

 

His first attack was weak, so was the second. When Reiken realized 'He's testing me!' she thought.

 

Dodging his next attack, she used some speed ad unsheathing her katana she blocked the yo-yos coming at her, jumped and kicked him square in the chest. Rinku counter attacked with a kick of his own.

 

"Mnt." 'Damnit!' Reiken thought, managing somehow to get behind him and got her katana around his neck.

 

"Enough! You'll fight Hiei." Genkai said, looking at the fire demon, who just shrugged and went over to the fighting area.

 

Letting Rinku go, she couldn't help thinkg 'Why him!'

 

"Fight!"

 

This time there wasn't instant attack, which made Reiken nervous. She carefully shifted her weight, keeping her eyes on Hiei, the same way he was keeping his on hers.

 

Their staring didn't last long, nor their fight, if you could call it that. With one swift movement Hiei had her down and she couldn't escape.

 

Genkai sighed. Looking around she saw knives. An idea forming.

 

"Hiei, work on ehr speed by throwing those knives at her."

 

"You are trying to kill me!" Reiken accused. Hiei was actually having fun with this.

 

"Reiken, I want you to get, if possible, all of the knives not to cut you."

 

Reiken looked at her with a you've-got-to-be-kidding-me look.

 

"Hiei, throw as fast as you think she can handle."

 

"OLD HAG! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU AND HIEI!" Reiken changed into her full demon form as Hiei suddenly started throwing the knives at a very fast pace. Reiken jumped into the air, kicking, punching, swipping, catching, throwing. She even used her tail to catch one throw it at another knife. Not just that, but she had to dodge some and move at angles she would've thought impossible. She did this for hours! Finally there weren't any knives left.

 

She landed back on the ground and asked, "Am I done yet!?"

 

"Iie, Hiei could you throw them again? Only at a faster pace? Reiken, do the same as before, only get your lump over there." Genkai said, pointing to the other side of the arena.

 

Grumbling, Reiken made her way and only ten soon, she was repeating hte same process, just a lot faster. This time it went by quicker, when the last knife was on the ground.

 

Genkai said, "That's enough, Reiken, you go and do whatever you want."

 

"Was that all?"

 

"For now."

 

Reiken shrugged and walked out of the room.

 

"One minute she's complaining about training, the next she's complaining it wasn't enough training." Yoko said.

 

"Eh-uh, that's Reiken." Yusuke said.

 

"Strange lil lass, she is." Jin said.

 

"More like weird." Kuwabhara muttered as they all went for their training and Hiei was glad he could go bhack to real training.

 

Some hours later.

 

Reiken shook her head as wet droplets fell on the floor. 'How stupid am I?" she screamed at herself. "I'm surrounded by males, I'm wet and have nothing but a towel with me!'

 

Taking a deep breath she put the towel around her small body while cursing herself, silently she carefully opened the door and quietly snuck out. She took soem steps and not paying attention to what was in front of her. She ran right into something, fell, looked up and realized it wasn't something but someone. She gulped as a sudden blush of embarresment crept over her cheeks. She looked away.

 

"Hiei, nani are anata doing here?"

 

He just raised an eyebrow at her as she stood up. "Nani are anata doing without any clothes?"

 

Her eyes widened as the blush got deeper in color. Reiken wasn't usually this stupid, but she did know enough not to tighten the towel around her like any other onna would do. Instead she loosened it, so that way there was still enough to one's imagination.

 

"I didn't mean to..leave them in my room." she mumbled, still looking away from him.

 

Smirking, Hiei said, "Don't onata mean 'forgot'?"

 

She glared at him with anger burning her eyes, "I didn't forget!" she hissed.

 

"Doesn't look that way to me."

 

"You bastard!" she yelled.

 

He raised his eyebrow, again, "Aren't I?"

 

She looked him and blinked "Hmph!" and looked away 'Damnit! Why him?! Not Yoko, not Jin or any of the other males, but him! Why the one I feel uncomfortable with!' she thought, realizing someone was invading her mind. 'Do I really make you that...nervous?'

 

That shook her and broke the last nerve.

 

"Bastard!" she screamed at Hiei, hurridly attacking him, but the second time in two days he slammed her hard against hte wall and pushing up against her.

 

"Do I?" he asked.

 

"Hai." she said with closed eyes and gritted teeth.

 

His breath was making her skin crawl with shivers. Hiei was studying her as he put his hands on her waist and moved her up to his height.

 

Her eyes snapped open and she gasped. Her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist. She still had a hold on the thin fabric around her with one hand, her other came up and smacked him across the cheek, which didn't even budge. 'Shit!' she thought as he smirked and leaned to whisper into her ear, using the rest of his weight to push into her. She gasped again and a slight moan escaped her lips.

 

"Tell me, onna, are you enjoying this?"

 

"Iie." she answered as he suddenly slammed her body to his and pushed as much as he could (a lot) into her. She moaned with her head tilted back. She couldn't explain it, but in her lower stomach, it felt like someone was twisting her guts and kept twisting. She had let go of the fabric and held onto his shoulders.

 

"Really." Hiei said, looking up and down her exposed body. 'Nani is going on?' she thought, as her hands made their way down to his pants where in then laid nani she felt against her. She wasn't sure why, but she suddenly wanted, needed him to be in her. She felt his mouth on her neck...her senses were fading, fading...fading.

 

"Hiei!" Snapping back to reality, Reiken looked around and saw Yusuke with a smirking Yoko by his side. Yusuke was lack for a better word, pissed.

 

Hiei slowly slid her to her feet and released her. He stepped away from her and aced Yusuke with an unsheathed katana.

 

Reiken quickly covered herself with the towel and looked from Hiei to Yusuke and Yoko and back to Hiei.

 

"Room, now!"

 

She gulped and ran to her room. Shivering she got dressed and got onto her bed and put her head in her hands. Her wet hair tumbling around her shaking body.

 

A while later, Yusuke opened her door. She looked up and Yusuke seemed to actually freeze. She was crying! Reiken was crying!

 

He shut the door and went over to her and sat down on her bed.

 

"Did-did you.."

 

"Iie. Yoko stepped in." he answered, the next instant her arms were around his neck. Yusuke's eyes widened as he slowly held his musume back.

 

"Otoosan, I'm sorry." she whispered as more tears spilled down her face.

 

His eyes hardened. "It's not your fault!" he answered with gritted teeth.

 

She held onto him tighter, "But, it's not his fault, either otoosan." she uttered, but wouldn't say anymore. Sighing, Yusuke put her in his lap, like he always used to and murmured, "I know, I know." as he stroked her hair.

 

 

 

Hiei was beyond pissed. Blowing up or setting fire to everything in his path.

 

"You think this wise?" Yoko asked, he was in a tree that hadn't yet met Hieis wrath.

 

Growling, Hiei set that tree ablaze. "Leave me alone." it was a dangerous threat.

 

Yoko just smirked, "And why would I do a thing like that?"

 

Growling again, Hiei attacked the kitsune and that was how everyone found them.

 

"Ima, wh's this al 'bout?" Jin asked helping Toya and Rinku to restraing the...urm...well, to restrain Hiei.

 

Reiken was standing not far off as her otoosan rushed over to them. She took a deep breath and wisped away what tears were left.

 

Yusuke looked at Yoko and shook his head. "You won't let me fight him, but you go and start a fight. Why?"

 

Shrugging, he said, "It was something to do."

 

Yusuke rolled his eyes. 'Typical Yoko.'

 

"OOOOWWW HOT, HOT!" Kuwabara screamed, he let go and ran around shouting, "HOOOTTT!"

 

"Nani's going on?" Yukina asked, coming up with a worried expression on her face, not noticing Ri was walking over to the fire, getting closer, closer.

 

"RI! Iie don't..." Reiken yelled, running towards the little ice apparition but was too late. Hiei's attention had been diverted and he managed to get loose and get Ri before any damage could be done. He held the child close, so the flames wouldn't touch her. Coming out, he fell to his knees, still clutching the little girl.

 

Reiken just looked on as she gave a soft smile, 'That's right, Ri's his niece.'

 

Yukina and Toya were by Hieis side in a flash. yukina sank to the ground.

 

"Okaachan, why're you crying?" Ri asked when Hiei had found it safe to loosen his grip.

 

"Be...cause..oh, Ri." Yukina said teargems had surrounded her, she took her musume into her own arms and stroked her hair as Toya held them both, "Because."

 

For a moment, just a moment Hiei met Reikens eyes. He felt weak for some reason.

 

"Mr. Hiei, Arigato." Yukina whispered, looking at him. Toya held his hand out, Hiei just 'Hned' and walked off, hands in pocket, alone.

 

Reiken was fighting the sudden urge to run after the bastard. She blinked 'He's not entirely a bastard, is he? I mean...' her musings were short; however,.

 

"Nani kind of man is he? Walking off like htat!" Kuwabara accused.

 

"Kazuma, don't say that about my..." Yukinas eyes widened as she quickly shut her mouth.

 

Everyone was looking at her, perplexed and shocked.

 

"When did...how did?" Reiken asked.

 

"I...I'm...not...sure I mean...I didn't...realize, it's just he's always there when I need him the most, like a...kyaodai would be for his...Chiyo." she said softly. Then she was swamped with harsh memories of hte past and more teargems came.

 

"Iie, Yukina, don't cry anymore." Toya murmured taking his mate (still w/Ri) in his arms.

 

Reiken watched them, and looked around, no one was paying her the slightest bit of attention. She so quietly and carefully snuck off that yoko almost missed it, but he didn't.

 

When she found him, he was sitting with his back against the tree, eyes closed with his sheathed sword in his hand.

 

She bit the corner of her lip, looked around, then grew her claws. She quietly and as skillfully as any jaguar, climbed up the nearest tree, walked along a branch and worked her way to the tree Hiei was under. She then carefully worked her way down 'til she was on the ground in front of him, by this time her tail and ears had sprouted. She also had small fangs.

 

kneeling down she slowly reached out a hand to his face when she was mercilessly thrown on her back.

 

Gasping, she opened her eyes and saw Hiei standing over her, face void of expression, as always. She propped herself on her elbows.

 

"Does anata think I'm a baka?"

 

She just looked up at him, at the moment the sun was positioned directly behind him, she couldn't help but notice how..how...mesmerizing and intrancing he looked.

 

"How what?" came a sharp voice, cutting through her thoughts.

 

She blushed, "A little privacy would be nice! Seeing as I hardly get any nowadays. Now you go through my thoughts, Yoko sneaks into my room when I'm changing, Otoosan, Toya and jin are constantly watching me. Chuu and Rinku talk to me or Genkai's training me, Ri wants to do nothing ubt stay with me," she sighed, "Kuwabara's the only one that doesn't bother me, even Yukina tries to talk to me and figure out nani the hell is wrong."

 

"Hn."

 

"Is that your answer for everything?" she asked propping herself on her elbows.

 

He looked down at her, she was in a position that would make any mate go balistic.

 

*Except me.*

 

But a sneaky voice entered. *You think so? From here, I want to*

 

Growling, Hiei turned around and sat back down under the trees, she followed. He let out an iritated growl.

 

She smirked at him "Hn."

 

He glared down at her.

 

"Nani?"

 

"Nani do you want?"

 

She smiled sweetly "Nothing much, just ot pester you." she answered as his eyes narrowed.

 

"Let me return the favor."

 

Her eyes widened, that was unexpected, but she didn't think about his words until his mouth was on her neck.
