Enter Nightmares

Epic 1: Dawn of Hunters and Fighters

[Nigenkai]

[Dawn-Fort-Sleeping Quarters]

"Wake up everyone!" Naomi Carter said cheerfully, as she slammed opened the door.

Moans and groans were heard but Naomi still smiled.

"Naomi, it's dawn, it's too early to get up." Clayton said groggily as he pulled the blanket over his face.

"I agree with Clayton, Naomi. It's way too early to get up." Kyoko said quietly while putting her head back on the pillow.

"And it's not like Raven is waking us up, y'know." Akira murmured.

"Just shut up all of you and go back to sleep." Rei said loudly as she turned to her side.

Toshihiko and Arashi just stayed quiet and pretended to be asleep.

"When, one comes to wake one's group up, that means it's time to get up."

A cold feminine voice said.

At once, everyone jolted up from their sleep, except Arashi and Toshihiko, who just slowly woke up.

There stood their leader, Raven Mitoyama.

"We're going to travel to the Makai and it's a long way to get there." Raven said coldly.

Everyone sighed and got up, "Yes Raven."

Raven snorted and walked out of the room.

[Main Room]

"Satan's Nightmare Beasts are growing by the minute, which makes more innocent people getting slaughtered." Raven said sternly. She wore a black hooded dress with black lace boots.

"The entire Nigenkai has been taken over and obviously the Makai. Some parts of the Reikai are still safe but we must travel to the Makai to stop Satan's Nightmare Beasts from growing."

"One thing, Raven, why should we go to Makai instead of staying in the Nigenkai? Japan and America haven't been enslaved, well certain parts, but why leave it with no Nightmare Hunters?" Kyoko asked kindly. She wore a pink silk Grecian goddess dress with gold bracelets on her ankles.

"Did you forget that other Nightmare Hunters are watching over the Nigenkai?" Arashi said sternly. She wore a red and white Hakama and her hair was in a ponytail.

"She's correct on that part." Clayton said wisely. He wore an American army suit and black combat boots.

"Well, why leave it all to the other Nightmare Hunters?" Akira said stubbornly. He wore the Japanese male priest clothing and it was blue and white. (Yume: It's the same thing that Subaru from X the movie wore. Ariel: Look here, missy lets not add anymore comments Me: Shut up you two and let the readers read already!)

Toshihiko whacked him over the head hard and sighed, "Because, dear younger brother, we're in Class S and the Class A Nightmare Hunters are taking over the Nigenkai. You really must pay attention, Akira." He wore the same thing as Akira.

"Akira, why would Hunter Hayashi, the Top Nightmare Hunter and leader of ALL Nightmare Hunters, send in-training Nightmare Hunters to the Nigenkai and protect it? Hell no! He sends Class A to the Nigenkai to watch over it secretly! He also sends the Class A and B to the Reikai and sends the Class S to the Makai! Hunter Hayashi keeps the in-training Nightmare Hunters at the main base in the Nigenkai where they learn to fight and protect the innocent! Until they reach to Level 60, then they can become Class A and so on. They really can't do anything except train and protect the bystanders." Rei said coolly. Unlike Arashi, Rei wore blue jeans, a tight black sleeve-less belly shirt, and a black leather jacket over it, and black boots.

"Well said Rei!" Naomi said cheerfully as she clapped. She wore a white blouse with a green blazer over it and a gray skirt with white ankle socks and black Mary-Jane shoes.

"We plan to head to the Makai at noon sharply. No complains at all and if one complains, I'll feed you to the Nightmare Beasts as their early lunch."

With that, Raven turned around and walked off.

Everyone sighed and walked out of the main room and headed to the sleeping quarters to get their stuff packed.

[Reikai]

"Koenma, why in god's fucking name you asked me to come here?" A fourteen-year-old black hair and brown-eyed boy asked as he stretched his arms and yawned.

It was also dawn in Reikai and not just in the Nigenkai.

"For your information, Yusuke, I've asked you and your Spirit Fighters to come here as well." The person named Koenma said coolly.

Then the doors opened to show a red headed demon with green emerald eyes and a short demon with black hair streaked with white and crimson red eyes.

"Good morning Koenma." The boy with red hair and emerald green eyes said politely.

"Hn…" The shorter one replied.

"Good to see you, Kurama, Hiei." Koenma said.

A boy Yusuke's age then came into the room, "Man, you could have THIS later in the morning, Koenma."

"Good to see you too, Kuwabara." Koenma sighed softly.

He then looked at all the four boys, "Since I've called you all here…"

"At dawn if I may add." Yusuke pointed out.

Koenma sighed loudly, "Yes, as YUSUKE points out, I've called you all here…"

"On a weekend, to add to Urameshi's comment." Kuwabara also answered.

"WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP ALREADY!?" Koenma screamed at the top of his lungs.

Yusuke and Kuwabara jolted back while Kurama chuckled and Hiei went,

"Hn..."

"Yes, I've called you all here at DAWN on a WEEKEND, because of your new mission." Koenma said as he narrowed his eyes at Yusuke and Kuwabara.

"And what that be Koenma?" Kurama asked kindly.

"I've sent you Spirit Fighters on simple tasks as catching criminals and now I'm sending you a IMPORTANT mission." Koenma said with a dead serious tone.

"Which would be…?" Hiei said rudely.

"Ever head of Nightmare Beasts?" Koenma said.

"Of course Koenma! They're Satan's minions of hell who kill people! Hell ya would we know who they were." Yusuke said coldly.

"You also know about Nightmare Hunters?" Koenma asked again.

"I've read about them. They specifically kill Nightmare Beasts. What does this have to us, Koenma, if I don't mind asking?" Kurama asked graciously.

"You're mission is to join and help a specific Nightmare Hunter group." Koenma said finally.

"WHAT!?" Yusuke and Kuwabara shouted in disbelief.

Kurama's eyes slightly widened and Hiei grunted.

"We don't need some Nightmare Hunters to help us! We're perfectly fine on our own!" Yusuke retorted.

"Yeah, what Urameshi, said!" Kuwabara supported.

"For your information, the Spirit Fighters and Nightmare Hunters work side by side, fools!" Koenma said coldly.

"Could you show us the Nightmare Hunters that we will be working with us, Koenma?" Kurama asked courteously.

"Hn…" Hiei grunted.

"I will Kurama, since you seem the ONLY one who seems interested and calm about this." Koenma said as he narrowed his eyes at Kuwabara and Yusuke.

"The Nightmare Hunters that you four will work with is a Class S group that contains 5 girls and 1 boy."

Then a screen appeared and it showed a girl with light brown hair and violet blue eyes.

"This is Naomi Carter, a human with paranormal powers. She can use telekinesis, teleportation, precognition, and clairvoyant. She's one of the Class S Nightmare Hunters and very easy to get along with." Koenma said.

"And a total cutie if I may add." Kuwabara murmured.

Koenma ignored his comment and then another female appeared on the screen. She had dark brown hair and dark amber eyes.

"WOAH! SHE'S HOT! VERY, VERY HOT IF I MAY ADD!" Yusuke shouted loudly with his eyes very wide.

Kurama and Koenma sweat dropped and Hiei snorted.

"Urameshi!" Kuwabara said loudly.

"She's Arashi Koizumi, she comes from a long line of priestesses and priests. She had natural priestess powers and is to be the next priestess of the Koizumi Clan. And it's she's WAY out of your league, Yusuke, since she is to marry a priest and not a regular." Koenma added.

"That's what YOU think, Koenma…" Yusuke muttered under his breath.

The screen then showed a girl with purple hair and aqua eyes; Kurama couldn't take his eyes off the screen.

"That would Kyoko Shiro and she comes from a long line of tennyo. She's able to transform into a full tennyo and is very powerful, both in her human and tennyo form. And yes, Kurama, she's in your league." Koenma chuckled.

Kurama then blushed crimson, "That…"

"Ooh, looks like Kurama has fallen for the angel chick!" Yusuke grinned sheepishly as he nudged Kurama in the shoulder.

"Way to go, Kurama!" Kuwabara said as he grinned widely too.

"You guys…!" Kurama blushed a darker crimson.

A boy with silver hair streaked with blue and crystal eyes appeared.

"Ooh! He looks so hot, I wonder if he's still single!" A female voice squealed in delight.

The four boys immediately spun around, "Botan!?"

A girl with blue hair and red eyes smiled, "If you boys can drool over the girls, then I can drool over the boys too!"

"That's NOT what we meant, Botan…" Yusuke said as he sweat dropped.

"You four will also be joined by Botan this time on your mission." Koenma said as he gestured Botan to walk over to them.

"Anyway, the boy is Clayton Williams, a regular human with no powers what so ever. But, his family was apart of the army or secret agents so he specializes in weaponry. And Botan, yes, he's still single." Koenma sighed.

"Yay! He's still single so I still got a chance!" Botan squealed in delight.

The four boys sweat dropped.

Two more boys appeared on the screen; one was older and the other one was younger. The older one had jet black hair and dark amber eyes and the younger one had dark brown hair and dark amber eyes.

"The older one is Toshihiko Koizumi and the younger one is Akira Koizumi. They are both brothers to Arashi Koizumi and Akira is Arashi's twin brother. They are priests and Toshihiko is the priest of his family since he was chosen to be the priest and because he was the oldest. Since Arashi is to be the nest priestess, she needs protection and why not have her twin brother and older brother come along and protect her." Koenma said.

Another girl appeared on the screen and she had emerald hair and greenish and bluish eyes.

"Reimi Toyoshima comes from another long line of priestesses and priests but also samurais. She's to be married to Toshihiko Koizumi to keep the priestess and priest bloodline going on." Koenma gestured to the screen.

"Okay, so, who's the leader of the group? I'm guessing Arashi, since she's a babe and all and 'cause she's a priestess?" Yusuke smiled.

"No, and drop babe part since when you're with her twin brother and older brother, you'll be dead before you complete the mission." Koenma said while sulking.

Finally, the screen showed a girl with silvery black hair and crimson red eyes.

Hiei looked up and his eyes slightly widened, 'It's…her…From my dream…'

"She's kinda pretty but Arashi is definitely hotter than that." Yusuke said as crossed his arms across his chest.

"Urameshi!" Kuwabara said.

"Raven Mitoyama, the leader of this Class S Nightmare Hunters. There isn't that much about her. All there is that she is cold and distant and she's the leader." Koenma said, the screen then disappeared.

"Let me explain more about where you are to meet…"

[Makai]

"WHAT!? WE'RE PAIRING WITH SPIRIT FIGHTERS?!" Akira shouted.

Toshihiko then whacked him over the head, "Down boy."

"Akira, please have some sense and listen to Raven." Arashi said sternly.

"Y'know, Arashi, I ain't 5 years old anymore! Besides, I'm five minutes older than you!" Akira shot back.

Toshihiko than whacked Akira over the head again, "Ah yes, Akira, you are INDEED 5 minutes older than ARASHI but, I'm 4 YEARS OLDER than you and Arashi."

"Besides, Spirit Fighters and Nightmare Hunters work side by side every since the Nightmare Beasts started!" Kyoko exclaimed.

"Shut up all of you!" Raven said coldly.

"I'll say this once and only once. We are to work with 5 Spirit Fighters, since Hunter Hayashi has told us to. They are Class A Spirit Fighters…"

"CLASS A!?" Akira and Clayton shouted.

"BE QUIET YOU TWO!" Raven screamed; Clayton and Akira then gulped.

"As, I was saying, we are to pair up with Class A Spirit Fighters. I requested that we, Nightmare Hunters, who are in Class S, deserve Class S Spirit Fighters. Hunter Hayashi told me that this particular Spirit Fighter group is near Class S. We are to meet them in the Makai and please be polite to them, AKIRA, CLAYTON…" Raven said as she narrowed her eyes at the two boys.

"Is that CLEAR EVERYONE?" Raven said coldly and angrily.

Everyone nodded their heads, slowly.

"Good, we're leaving in 5 hours, so be packed and ready to go."
