Hiei couldn't understand were he was the surrounding felt familiar but it did not look familiar he kept on hearing voices talking at the same time making it hard to figure out who was talking to him.

frustrated he screamed

"show yourself you damn asshole"

"tsk tsk cursing is bad you shouldn't say things like that" the voice taunted

"Look I'll cuss whenever and where ever I want now show yourself so I can kick yo-u-r-e" Hiei stopped threatening.

Kurama was standing in front of him a sword through his gut he was bleeding very badly his pant were cover with dry and fresh blood. He then notice Kurama clutching his throat

"remember that night in the hotel when every one was playing card and Yukina was there and we were asking you to join because it felt like we were all family you said you do this"

Kurama release his throat and blood gushed out there was a hole in his throat and he continued speaking

"You said you rip my voice box out if I didn't shut up remember" as he said every word blood flowed out of his mouth like running water.

Every word was a stab to his heart Hiei almost threw up right there so much blood the scent so strong then the blood in Kurama `s throat started to come out coagulated.

Hiei open his mouth to speak but no word came out. He stood there frozen he couldn't move.

'Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, its just a dream, just a fucking dream' Hiei mentally repeated to Himself.

All of sudden he felt a sharp slap in the face his eyes shot open immediately taking in his surrounding.

Mokuro was standing in front of him angry.

"are you asking for a death wish sleeping in the makai is suicide for sure here"

"You're sweating like a pig hurry up and finish inspection and get the hell out my sight I won't need you again until next month."

still stunned about his dream Hiei nodded dumbly and proceeded to his task

"Are you all right?" Mokuro asked concerned Hiei didn't give a sarcastic remark

Finally waking up completely he 'hn' and left her presence.

'damn last time I look like an idiot in front of her' Hiei hurried and finish his job.

Kurama look at both trees he needed an extra branch to hang his hammock up summer was here and he wanted to sleep outside some nights.

"maybe cool air will keep me from dreaming thing that are inappropriate" he was glad Hiei drop the question he had asked nights ago. Hiei had reveal something very sensitive and revealing what he dream about that would have ruin the peaceful state that had been established.

He looked at the tree again it would be obvious that it grew another branch but no one has seen this tree for a while they may just ignore it.

Kurama walk close to the tree and focus so ki into slowly a branch small started to pop out and quickly grew. Satisfied Kurama proceeded to hang his hammock.

He felt a familiar youkai approaching his heart started to beat faster he always felt like this whenever the koorime visited he hoped he would stay again he enjoy his presence immensely but Hiei left after being summon by Mokuro.

Hiei landed on the new branch Kurama made.

"this wasn't here"

Hiei jump down in front of Kurama.

Kurama looked down and smile

"shh only you and I know I need it for my hammock."

"are you going to stay" Kurama asked hopeful

Hiei look at Kurama and for a brief moment he saw blood on him immediately he closed his eyes he shook his head and open them slowly. Kurama was normal no blood but his smile faded and his eye were filled with worry.

"I'm fine just tire"

he was cut off Kurama quickly entered inside the house and answered the phone.

Hiei listen to Kurama speak

"you mean they been found"

Kurama hung up without saying good bye.

As he went back out he smile and went close to the fire demon.

"I have to go out of town for a while they found my test scores but there some trouble your welcome to stay here"

Hiei looked at Kurama wide eye the reason he came by is to be with the fox.

"How long will you be gone?" Hiei asked a bit shyly

"Hiei" Kurama hug the koorime.

Hiei didn't break the embraced but sighed in content feeling safe and sated.

"I'll try not be gone for long"

Kurama tighten the embraced "I'll leave tomorrow morning so we can take a nap if your tire"

Hiei nodded and spoke "I had another one"

"Was it really bad?"

"it was you and -" Hiei stop and then continued "it was bad"

Kurama wasn't going to pry Hiei open it was best to give him time.

Kurama release him and grabbed his hand and said

"come on lets rest I promise I'll be back soon"

Hiei didn't protest and let himself be lead to the bedroom.

Hiei woke up when he felt his body go cold he looked around it was dark he turn to see the clock on the other side of the bed it read four.

Slowly he got out bed he descended the stairs slowly Kurama was hastily organizing his back pack and eating a sandwich fast Hiei sat at the foot of the stairs.

He watched Kurama tentatively and though.

'I feel in love with you, with you, you make me feel at peace and I can sleep without having nightmares why? I wonder why'

Kurama notice Hiei sitting on the last step and staring at him. He slowly approach him.

"Hiei I'll be leaving in a few minutes will you be okay"

Hiei grabbed Kurama's hand and lock his fingers with his.

"Just promise me you'll be back soon"

"I promise I'll try"he dropped his head and kiss him softly on the lips a closed kiss.

Hiei closed his eyes as he felt Kurama soft lips brushed against his bruise ones.

"I promise" Kurama whispered as he stood up and gave one more glanced at Hiei he pick up his things and left.

Hiei just sat there savoring the warmth left on his lips.
