Raven: The main OC Rain Miri Urameshi somewhat starts off as a Mary-Sue, but she's not a Mary-Sue, just wanted to let everyone know that.

Aries: Jules doesn't own YYH or their characters, just her own.

Kaya: This takes place after the Dark Tournament, since one mentions it later on.

Kaori: We are up to Chapter 21 and working Chapter 22, but still it'll take awhile for us to post it.

Amika: *Sighs and continues to drink her herbal tea*

The Red Rose of Love

Chapter 1

A girl, fourteen years old, was walking down a sidewalk, her long brown hair blowing in the wind. She looked a little sad. Her dark umber eyes were shinning bright though. She wore a blue diamond stone on a black choker necklace. Her name was Rain Miri Urameshi, or Rai as many people called her. She was the cousin to Yusuke Urameshi. She hadn't seen him since she was five years old because of many reasons. She didn't know that her cousin was a Spirit Detective but he didn't know that she was a Spirit Detective as well BUT for a different person...

"I'm home!" Rai shouted as she opened the door to her house. She took off her shoes and put her stuff down. It was 3:00 pm, her father was always busy with work and other things and because of it not being a good father. Rai's mother disappeared when Rai's brother, Narutaki, was born. Rai had to take care of Narutaki and because of her mother's disappearance, her father was looking to get married so Rai and Narutaki would have a mother.

'Thank god that I don't have to pick Narutaki from kendo until 4:00 pm today. I feel sick again.' Rai thought as she walked up stairs to her bedroom. She flopped down on her bed and shut her eyes. Today she would finally see her cousin, Yusuke, again, BUT she was feeling sick but she could tell that Narutaki was so happy to see his older cousin, so she would go anyway, to make Narutaki happy.

"Hey Rai what's up?" A girl with light purple hair and light green eyes said as she came out of nowhere. She wore a blue and white kimono.

"You look tired again, Ms. Rai." A boy with long black hair that was in a ponytail that ended at his back and red eyes said. He wore all black with a red and black cape.

"Nothing really Kikyo." Rai said to the girl with light purple hair.

"And yes Kai I am tired, VERY." Rai sighed as she closed her eyes.

"Then why go visit your cousin, you look VERY weak." Kai said, looking concerned.

"Because Kai, Narutaki wants to see his older cousin and I haven't seen Yusuke in nine years. It'll be good for me and Narutaki."

"I think Ariel Kamiya put you up this is. God that girl is VERY stubborn and VERY pushy! To think she's ANOTHER Spirit Detective like yourself Rai." Kikyo complained. Ariel was a very good friend of Rai's and then knew each other since birth.

"It's 3:30, I better change out of my uniform and make some kind of treat for Yusuke." Rai said as she got up off her bed. Rai's uniform was a sailor one. A light blue short skirt, a red ribbon on the top, white socks up to her knees and brown slip on shoes.

Kai walked out of the room so he could give Rai some privacy. Rai grabbed a pink t-shirt, tight blue jeans with a brown belt with a heart buckle on it, black ankle boots and a jean jacket.

"You look great Rai!" Kikyo smiled as she clapped her hands together. Rai may be a loner in her school but was VERY popular with the boys.

"Thanks Kikyo."

Then Rai walked downstairs with Kikyo and Kai following her. Like Yusuke, she was brought back to life but she saved her brother's life from a fire and she died because of it. The person who made Rai a Spirit Detective was a woman named Lady Arella. But Yusuke never knew that Rai died and was reborn.

Rai walked into the kitchen and grabbed some stuff from the cupboards and she grabbed a book from the top self.

"Let's see, hey Kikyo, Kai do you think I should make cookies or a cake?"

"I hate sweets, Ms. Rai you know that." Kai frowned. Kai was a cold- hearted person but he was kind at some points. He acted mature ALL the time, never immature.

"I think you should make cookies!" Kikyo smiled. Kikyo was very naïve, cute, gullible, perky girl. She acted immature and sometimes acted like a klutz.

"I think I'll make cookies." Rai pointed out. It only took her 20 minutes to make the cookies, she was a great cook and was very fast at cooking stuff and when she cooked fast it turned out good or great.

"Okay I finished them so I'll got pick up Narutaki and then to Yusuke's house."

"Wait Ms. Rai aren't you still tired?" Kai asked.

"Well...a little but not anymore. Besides it's almost 4:00 and I don't want to disappoint Narutaki." With that Rai walked out the door.

"I'm so excited Rai!" Narutaki said happily. He looked like Rai expect for he had light brown eyes. He was eight years old and he acted very mature sometimes. He loved his sister VERY much and when she was sick he would try to take care of her.

"I can't wait to see Yusuke!"

"That's right Narutaki, Yusuke has NEVER met you before." Rai smiled.

They were walking down the sidewalk, Rai held Narutaki's hand and she held the bag of cookies in the other.

Then Rai felt a pain in her stomach and felt her head burn up. She fell to her knees and groaned.

"Rai what's the matter!?"

"Narutaki listen to me," Rai murmured weakly.

"Yusuke's house is only a few blocks away from here, take the bag of cookies with you."

"Rai are you sick!? Please tell me!"

"Narutaki just go. Tell Yusuke I'll be there soon."

Narutaki nodded and took the bag of cookies and ran as fast as he could to Yusuke's house.

'Why did I had to get sick RIGHT now! I need to get to Yusuke's house NOW! I don't Yusuke to find out I'm sick!' With that Rai pushed herself up and started to walk, slowly. She was burning up and very dizzy.

A certain person was walking down a sidewalk. It was Shuuichi Minamino or Kurama as a few of his friends called him. He was heading home to drop off his school stuff and visit Yusuke.

'I wonder if mother is home?' Kurama thought to himself.

Then he noticed something in the distance. He ignored it and started to walk again.

"I wonder where Rai is? She said that she had surprise for me." Yusuke muttered to himself.

"So your cousin is coming, am I correct Yusuke?" Botan asked.

"Yeah she is and DO NOT tell her about me being a Spirit Detective, got it." Yusuke said sternly. Botan nodded her head. Then there was a knock on the door. Yusuke walked over to it and opened it.

It was Narutaki, he was panting for breath.

"Who are YOU?"

"I...I'm Narutaki Urameshi, Rai's younger brother." Narutaki panted.

"So that's the surprise Rai wanted to tell me."

"Yusuke Rai is sick. She's very weak and she has a fever. She told me to come over here and that she would catch up BUT she hasn't. She must have fainted."

"WHAT!?"

"Please Yusuke help me find my sister."

Yusuke nodded and then turned to Botan.

"Botan you're gonna help us find Rai alright."

"Sure Yusuke but one thing, what does Rai look like?"

"Argh Botan...just...follow me and Narutaki!"

Rai was walking slowly. Her eyes burning, her feet hurting, her fever going up higher, she felt like she was going to faint.

"I...need...to...see...Yusuke." Rai muttered.

Then Rain noticed someone in the distance. 'Great I don't ANYONE to see me in THIS condition.' Then Rain fell to her knees again.

'I need to lay down but not here. I wish Kikyo, Kai or Ariel was here!'

Then she closed her eyes.

Kurama walked down the sidewalk. Then he noticed Rai.

'Who is that?'

Then he got a closer look at her and then noticed Rai on the ground. He ran to Rai. He felt her forehead. 'She's burning up with a fever. I should take her to my place. Then when she wakes up then I'll ask her where she lives and I'll take her there.' Then he picked her up in his arms and walked up.

'I hope that Narutaki is okay.' Rai thought. She then woke up and looked around. She wasn't on the sidewalk anymore; she was in a bedroom. She under blankets and she had an ice pack on her head.

'Where am I? Surely I'm NOT at Yusuke's house.' Rai got out of the bed and walked out of the room. Then she noticed Kurama.

"Hello!" Rai said.

Kurama turned around and looked at her. Kurama smiled and then said, "I see that your up. I'm Shuuichi Minamino but you call me Kurama if you want. What's your name?"

"I'm Rain Miri Urameshi but you can call me Rai."

Kurama's eyes widened and asked, "By any chance are you related to Yusuke Urameshi?"

"Sure I am. I'm Yusuke's cousin."

Yume: The reason while it's going to take so long to post the chapters is because we're spell checking and proof reading it.

Raven: *Cleans the blood off her katana swords*
