Me: Anyway, I am in high school now so it will be hard for me to update every day and so. ^.^

Chapter 4

[Later-Kitchen]

"Botan do you think Yusuke's friends seem to dislike me at all?" Rai asked politely as she made green tea for the girls.

"Of course not! Rai…they're just a little surprise that's all." Botan said quickly.

'Although Hiei isn't too happy about it.' Botan thought.

"Well anyway while the boys are having their boy talk, why don't we bring in the tea for the girls?" Botan beamed.

"Sure, Botan." Rai smiled.

[Living Room]

"Yusuke I thought your male cousin was going the Spirit Detective, not your female cousin." Hiei replied coldly.

The four Spirit Detectives and Kai were in the living room and having a little meeting.

"Hey I didn't want to tell you guys! Anyway Rai is the Spirit Detective and that is that so stop complaining!" Yusuke hissed, he sounded annoyed that Hiei was complaining about Rai.

"Still a girl like her...she's one hot chick..." Kuwabara said to himself.

Yusuke shot a cold glare at him, "Don't even think about it Kuwabara."

Kurama was deep in thought, from the shock that Rai, was the Spirit Detective.

'Rai Urameshi is the Spirit Detective of Lady Arella? I've never expected it, I knew that Rai was his cousin but I thought Narutaki, was the Spirit Detective. Still, she seems so gentle to hurt anyone.'

[Library]

"So how did Kai, the Slayer, end up with you guys?" Botan asked as she took a sip of tea.

The girls were in the library drinking tea and chatting.

"Well it all started when Kikyo first brought me my first case, before Ariel paired up with us and before she even knew that I was a Spirit Detective..."

[Flash Back- Kistune Academy For Girls]

"So I'm Spirit Detective now?" Rai asked as she ate her sushi. She was sitting on the bench, by herself and Kikyo had just appeared.

"Yeah you are officially a Spirit Detective and you'll have your first case ever!" Kikyo chirruped.

"Your first case is to catch the half demon, half human Kai, the Slayer! He's killed 200 bounty hunters, 28 spirit detectives and has been accused of murder and rape. I know we're starting you off with hard person but he's a slayer on the man Master Valgava of Death!"

"Master...Valgava...of...Death?" Rai titled her head to the side and looked confused.

"Master Valgava is a guy who teaches demons and half demons to become bounty hunters, rapists, criminals, assassins, hit men and other terrible people! Kai is one his favorites and he's appeared in the Real World! You gotta catch him or even kill him!"

"Kill...him?" Rai stuttered.

"If it comes down to that then yes Rai, you'll have to kill him."

[End of Flash Back]

[Living Room]

"I didn't believe that Rai and her group were Spirit Detectives when I first met them as well." Kai said coolly. The four boys turned to face him.

"When we first met, it was actually a quite interesting battle we fought..."

[Flash Back- Roof Top]

"I'm Rai Urameshi, Spirit Detective for Lady Arella and you're under arrest for rape and murder, Kai, the Slayer!" Rai shouted to a figure, which had her back to her. Rai's long brown hair blew in the wind and she wore her school uniform.

The person turned around to face a guy with long black hair and red eyes. He wore all black and looked like a human.

"Kikyo, he looks like a human, nevertheless half demon." Rai whispered.

"Well he is HALF demon but it matters if you get him." Kikyo shot back.

"Well you're gonna have to fight me then." Kai replied coolly. His black cape blew harder and he pulled out a whip with a red dragon on it.

"Kikyo, what I am suppose to do now?! I don't have any weapons!"

Kai jumped into the air, "PREPARE TO DIE!"

Kikyo hid behind Rai, "Rai put both hands out in front of you and…"

"NOW FACE THE WRATH OF KAI, THE SLAYER!" Kai shouted as he got his whip ready to hurt Rai.

Rai put her hands out in front of her and panicked, she felt somewhat of Spirit Energy in body. Then she thought of the first thing that came to her mind, "SPIRIT SHIELD!" Immediately spirit energy came out it and turned into a shield. Then electric shock came out and made Kai fly backwards.

"Damn it, how did that bitch do that!?" Kai muttered to himself as he got up off the ground.

'Why are the names 'Spirit Slash and Whip coming into my head right now? Nevertheless I feel this 'Spirit Energy' within me.'

"SPIRIT WHIP!" Rai commanded as a spirit whip came out and she held her hand around it tightly.

Kai charged towards her, "TAKE SOME OF THIS!"

Rai ducked, "SPIRIT WHIP!" With a slash, the whip smacked Kai across the stomach, then face and legs. Leaving blood and scratches on him.

"I won't loose to someone like YOU!" Kai murmured as he wiped the blood away from his face. He charged again and this time slashed his whip across Rai's bare legs and tore some of Rai's skirt off. Rai lost the grip of his Spirit Whip and it disappeared.

"NOW YOU ARE GOING TO DIE!"

"RAI-CHAN WATCH OUT!" Kikyo screamed.

Rai felt even more spirit energy in her, "S…SPIRIT SLASH!" Rai had slashed a ribbon of Spirit Energy on Kai, which made him fly backwards, hitting the ground.

"Kai, the Slayer, you are SO under arrest!" Kikyo beamed as she gave the bingo sign.

"I...can't believe I just beat him." Rai's eyes were wide.

"Yeah Rai-chan! You beat up Kai, the Slayer and he's gonna to jail!"

The two girls jumped up and down for joy for closing their first case.

[End of Flash Back]

"Wow, you got beat by MY cousin?! Damn, I didn't know Rai knew how to fight that well!?" Yusuke was surprised that his cousin beat up a criminal with just two attacks.

"Yeah, hard to believe, you don't want to even imagine when I first got here..."

[Flash Back- Rai's House]

"ACK! THAT BASTARD KAI IS BACK FOR MORE!" Kikyo shrieked as Rai ran to her.

"Kai, what are YOU, doing here?" Rai asked, she looked nervous.

"I'm assigned to be a "Spirit Detective" under my master Valgava and Lady Arella. I'm also here to train Ms. Rai to become a better "Spirit Detective" with her new abilities and find the final "Spirit Detective" of Lady Arella's."

"NO WAY YOU ARE STEPPING FOOT INTO THIS HOUSE HOLD!" Kikyo screamed but Kai ignored her and walked into the house.

"Get use to it baka Kikyo." Kai sneered.

[End of Flash Back]

"I would do the same, if I was assigned to be stuck with amateurs, who are weak girls." Hiei mumbled so nobody would hear him.

"Well you're going to have to get use to those girls. If I had to say who's the best fighter in my team I would say Ms. Rai. She maybe gentle but in battle she's cruel. Kamiya maybe a punk fighter but she's good and Kikyo couldn't fight if her life depended on it." Kai said with an evil grin and took a sip of tea.

'Wow...I didn't know that Rai could fight. Hell, she could actually become a great fighter like...me if she worked hard!' Yusuke thought excitedly.

'Rai Urameshi seems so gentle and it seems so foolish for her to be a "Spirit Detective" and not a "Guardian Angel" instead.' Kurama thought kindly.

'I would like to see how Ariel Kamiya and Rain fight, most likely Kamiya will be better.' Hiei thought to himself.

'Rai is a totally hot babe, I can't believe she's Urameshi's cousin!' Kuwabara thought in amazement.

'What a bunch of complete idiots...' Kai thought bitterly.

[Library]

"So how did Kamiya become a Spirit Detective?" Botan asked Rai.

"Well it happened when a mysterious man, who, is now Master Kumar Fire, controlled innocent people and made them chase after Kikyo, Kai and I..."

[Flash Back-Streets]

"AH! SOMEBODY HELP US! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Kikyo screamed. Her light purple was in two buns, which a red ribbon held them. Her clothes were the same uniform as Rai's but the skirt was up to her legs.

People of the town were chasing Rai and Kikyo. They now had black wings on their backs and their eyes glow pure red.

"Come down Kikyo! We can out run them!" Rai reassured. Her clothes were the same and her skirt was long too. Her hair was in ponytail and it bounced up and down from running.

'If only Yusuke was here!' Rai thought but then another idea popped into her head, she turned around to face them.

"SPIRIT SLASH!" Rai screamed as spirit ribbon slash the people, which made them slammed into the buildings.

"RAI-CHAN LOOK OUT!" Kikyo shouted as another person jumped up from behind Rai.

Rai then shouted, "SPIRIT SLASH!" sending the guy backwards against the wall. Rai turned around, "KIKYO LOOK OUT!"

Kikyo turned around, "AAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Kai then appeared and pushed Kikyo out of the way, "MYSTIC BLACK FLAMES!"

The person who had attacked Kikyo had the same uniform as Rai and Kikyo.

"ARIEL!" Rai screamed as she ran to her friend.

Ariel had then kicked Rai into the wall, "Shut up you piece of shit!"

"ARIEL WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU!?" Rai then had more and more Spirit Energy in her.

"SPIRIT'S HEALING!" Then a huge light blinded everyone there.

Then Ariel floated in the air and with a woman with long brown hair to her waist and aqua eyes appeared. She was Lady Arella.

"Rain Urameshi, your friend Ariel Kamiya will live. She's the last of the Spirit Detectives and when she awakes, I shall appear, but for now I'll take her home and await her awaking." Then Lady Arella disappeared with Ariel.

"Well looks like I'm going to teach you how to control your abilities of your Spirit Attacks." Kai said coldly as he walked up to Rai.

"Yes, I know. I need to control them, whether against evil or an ally who wants to battle." Rai said softly.

[End of Flash Back]

"So that's how you got Kamiya as a Spirit Detective. That's a interesting story." Botan said.

"Well tomorrow, is when our case begins. Tomorrow, is when both teams work as one to catch Master Kumar Fire." Rai said as she sipped her team.

Ariel: The only good thing is that ya scored by Wylie giving you those CDs he burned for you today! ^~ *Goes listens to the CDs Wylie burned Jules*

Aries: She'll never learn will she...*sighs sadly*

Kaya: *is reading "My Dearest Cecelia"*

Kaori: *Playing the piano and is sounding beautiful and calmly*

Yume: *sewing a scarf for the winter*

Amika: *is looking out the window and out into the dark sky*

Raven: *Cleaning her swords*

Me: *Thinks* For once everyone is quiet...Thank the lord...^^U
