The Red Rose of Love

Chapter 5

Rai insisted that Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama stayed at her house. But when Rai left the room for a minute, Yusuke had to go over a few rules of staying in her house…

"First rule, NEVER EVER sneak into Rai's room at night or they die RIGHT AWAY." Yusuke growled. He looked at his friends.

"That goes double for you Kuwabara!"

"Hey Urameshi I wouldn't do THAT!"

"And Kurama, don't EVEN think about LOOKING at Rai when she's in the shower OR touch her in the "attractive" way!"

Kurama felt his face blushing and couldn't stop, "Y-Yusuke! I wouldn't do THAT!"

"Yeah right and Hiei wouldn't mind kissing her!" Yusuke said sarcastically.

Hiei then glared at him angrily, "Why would I EVER fall for that Bitchy Slut!"

Kurama gasped and Kuwabara's eyes widened while Yusuke's eyes burned with rage and he clenched his fists tightly.

"He's REALLY pissed so maybe we should stand back." Kuwabara replied to Kurama but he just stood there.

"Kurama, hey get outta of the way before ya get killed by Yusuke." Kuwabara sighed and grabbed Kurama's sleeve and pulled him back.

"NO ONE EVER CALLS RAI A BITCHY SLUT AND LIVES TO TELL ANYONE!" Yusuke screamed.

"YOU ARE GONNA DIE!" He grabbed Hiei by the collar of his shirt.

"YUSUKE URAMESHI! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU DOING!?" Rai shrieked. She had a cross look on her face.

"YUSUKE URAMESHI ANSWER ME WHEN I AM TALKING TO YOU!" Rai was now screaming at the top of her lungs now. Then her spirit whip appeared in her hands.

"ANSWER ME NOW! SPIRIT WHIP!" Rai slashed her whip at Yusuke. It whipped Yusuke on the head.

"ANSWER ME NOW!" Rai hissed as she slashed her whip again.

"GOD DEAR LORD!" Yusuke shouted in agony.

"THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENOUGH ANSWER!"

"HOLY CHRIST!" He screamed as Rai slashed her whip into his arm.

"CALL ME MISTRESS RAIN! NOW!" She screamed.

"YES MISTRESS RAIN!" He shouted.

Rai just kept on slashing her whip, Yusuke kept shouting "Mistress Rain" and she laughed evilly until…

Rai stopped and realized what she was doing, she immediately stopped, her spirit whip disappeared and she blushed like there was no tomorrow.

"Yusuke! I'm SO sorry! Rai said, still blushing.

Kuwabara blinked, Kurama had his eyes wide and Hiei looked at her strangely.

"I'll be going now…!" With that Rai ran out of the room, still blushing.

"Woah…that was weird but yet again we all got to see Urameshi's butt get kicked by a girl, who is his cousin." Kuwabara remarked.

Yusuke shot a death glare at him, "You're dead Kuwabara!"

While Yusuke was chasing Kuwabara around the room, Kurama and Hiei just thought to themselves.

'Why on Earth did Rai do that? Is she that brutal as Kai says she is?' Kurama thought with concern.

'That girl seems to have enough power to kill her own teammates if she wanted to. This might not be too bad living under the same roof as her for a few months or weeks.' Hiei thought.

[Sunday Morning]

"Onee-san!" Narutaki said cheerfully as he ran into Rai's room.

Rai roused and sat up in her bed with a gentle smile.

"Good morning Narutaki. What are you doing up at 6:00pm?"

"Don't you remember Big Sister? Today is when we get to visit Aunt Sayuka and Uncle Sage in Kyoto!" Narutaki smiled hugely.

"Oh my god! That's today?!" Rai gasped.

Narutaki nodded.

"Narutaki," A sad smile came to her lips, "I can't go with you to visit Sayuka and Sage this time because-"

"Mystic Rose Team needs you." Narutaki said sadly as he got off her bed and slowly walked out of the room.

"Narutaki, I'll call Sayuka and she'll pick you up at 10:00pm." With that Narutaki left her room.

"Narutaki…" She whimpered.

[Later-7:00pm]

Kurama walked out the room he slept in actually his bedroom was right next to Hiei's. He walked quietly down the hall until he saw a small figure walking down the hall.

"Who's there?" Kurama asked softly. The figure came closer and Kurama looked confused.

"I'm Narutaki Urameshi, Rain's eight year old brother." Narutaki said sadly.

"Who are you? Are you apart of the "Mystic Rose Team"?" Narutaki pondered.

Before Kurama could speak Narutaki started to cry loudly.

"Why? Why are you taking my sister away from me? Her friends keep me away from her, Rain Miri Urameshi. She's be there for me, ever since Okaa-san, Saori Ame Tate, disappeared, Rain has been there for me. Her "friends" barely let me see her and my Otou-san is always away. Now with you guys staying, I'll NEVER see her and she can't come with to Kyoto to see my Aunt Sayuka and Uncle Sage! It's your entire fault! It's all your fault!" Narutaki cried as tears fell down his face.

Kurama looked at Narutaki, he then knelt down and put his hand on Narutaki's small shoulder.

"Narutaki…"

"Please, just leave my onee-san alone and go away for good."

"I don't think I can but I'll promise you this: I'll protect your sister from harm and evil." Kurama smiled gently.

Narutaki stopped crying and looked at Kurama, "Y-you promise?"

"I promise."

"But if you break your promise, I'll NEVER forgive you and I'll get my cousin Yusuke to beat you up! And I KNOW for a fact Yusuke LOVES my onee-san dearly and would hurt ANYONE who betrayed OR assaulted her!" Narutaki said with a cold tone.

'From yesterday's example, I'm pretty sure he would KILL anyone for even looking at Rain.' Kurama thought.

"By the way sir, what's your name?" Narutaki asked, he seemed happier than before.

"Kurama. You can call me Kurama."

"Kurama-kun, do you want something to eat? I'll make you something to eat!"

Kurama smiled and nodded.

[Kitchen]

"Here you are Kurama-kun!" Narutaki said happily as he handed Kurama some kind of food.

"It's pancakes!" Narutaki beamed.

Kurama took a bite out of them and smiled and then swallowed it before he spoke.

"It's very delicious Narutaki." Kurama replied.

"Yay! I'm glad you like them!" He then gave Kurama a glass of orange juice.

"Kurama-kun, I'm sorry about what I said before." Narutaki whimpered.

"It's alright Narutaki."

Then Rai walked into the kitchen, she wore a silk pink night gown with a silk pink robe with Sakura blossoms on them over it.

"I see you're in a good mood now Narutaki." Her gentle voice startled Kurama and her turned around, he felt his face blushing.

"G-good morning Rai." Kurama stuttered.

"Good morning to you too, Kurama." She said kindly as she walked over to Narutaki.

"Narutaki, go get dressed and pack up. Sayuka will be here in a few hours and she would like to leave right away when she comes to pick you up." Rai grinned.

"Okay onee-san!" Narutaki beamed as ran out of the kitchen.

"Narutaki seems like such a kind-hearted child." Kurama told Rai.

"Yes, he's such a kind-hearted child." Rai smiled.

"Anyway, I suggest when Narutaki leaves, we should start finding information on Kumar Fire." Rai said.

"I agree with that idea. Should I wake up Yusuke and the others?" Kurama asked. Then the two heard loud laughs and screams of happiness from upstairs.

"I believe Narutaki has done that already."

"GOD CAN A MAN GET SOME SLEEP AROUND HERE WITHOUT LAUGHTER!? JESUS CHRIST!" That was the sound of Kai's voice.

"And I also believe that he has woken up Kai as well." Kurama pointed out as Rai sighed loudly as she buried her face in her hands.

"SHUT UP KAI! GO TO HELL!" Kikyo's voice then appeared.

"NO YOU GO TO HELL BAKA KIKYO! DOESN'T "KIKYO" DEPRESSED/SORROW/ELATED?! WELL GO TO HELL AND BURN IN IT TOO!" Kai screamed.

"SCREW YOU KAI!"

"SHUT UP BITCH!"

"SHUT UP BASTARD!"

"BE QUIET BOTH OF YOU!" Now that was Botan's voice.

"YAY! BOTAN TO THE RESCUE!"

"STAY OUT OF THIS BOTAN!"

"WELL STOP CALLING MY FRIEND NAMES!"

"BE QUIET ALL OF YOU! IF YOU DON'T I'LL KILL YOU!" Hiei's voice then appeared.

"YOU FOUR SHUT UP NOW! IT'S 7:30AM AND RAI IS STILL ASLEEP! IF YOU WOKE HER UP I'M GONNA KILL ALL OF YOU!" Yusuke's voice was then heard.

"WILL ALL OF YOU JUST BE QUIET!?" Now it was Kuwabara's and Ariel's voices.

"I'll go get Ariel, Botan, and Kikyo now." Rai sighed as she walked away.

"Yes, I'll go get Hiei, Kuwabara and Yusuke now." Kurama said with a sigh.

[Later-10:00am]

"Aunt Sayuka!" Narutaki said happily. He hugged a woman named Sayuka Date.

"Hello Narutaki." Sayuka smiled. She had layered blonde hair and violet blue eyes. She was 23 years old and she wore a blue kimono with Sakura blossoms on them.

Rai walked up to Sayuka and smile kindly. Rai wore a half-red tank top, black pants, red scarf and black boots.

"Hello Sayuka, it's good to see you." Rai replied sweetly.

"Rain, I know you've been busy with many things, I'm sorry that you can't come to Kyoto." Sayuka replied.

"Narutaki, could you go wait in the car. I need to talk to Rain for a few minutes." Sayuka replied.

"Okay Aunt Sayuka!" Narutaki chirped as he ran to the car and got in it.

"Sayuka, have you found my mother or any information of where she could be?" Rai asked.

"No. Sage and I looked for her everywhere and so has my friends and Sage's. I'm worried for Saori, she's been gone for ten years." Sayuka had tears coming down her cheeks.

"It'll be alright Sayuka. We'll find her and when we do, everything will back to normal." Rai smiled.

"Now go have to go do something important. Also could you do something for me?" Rain asked.

"Yes Rain, you can ask me anything."

"Could you keep Narutaki for next few months in Kyoto?" Rain asked.

Sayuka gasped, "W-Why is that Rain?"

"What I'm about to do for the next few months is quite dangerous and I think Narutaki would be better off if he stayed in Kyoto. Tell him that I have to do important work for my school." Rain said, Sayuka nodded and was about to walk off but…

"Tell Narutaki that I'm not leaving him. I'll NEVER leave him like my Father did to him and myself. Tell him I'll be back, it's just that I don't want him to be hurt, promise him I'll return for him after a few months." Rain said tearfully, tears fell down her face and Sayuka smiled and hugged her.

Kurama was not too far away that he heard the entire conversation that Rain and Sayuka had.

'I promise you Narutaki, that I'll protect your sister from harm. I'll keep my promise as well as Rain did to you.' Kurama thought.
