Chapter 15

[Forest]

‘Yusuke&hel lip;please help me…’ Rai thought as another tear fells downs her dirty and bloody face.

Kurama slowly stirred by opening his eyes slowly.

‘Wh-What just happened?’ Kurama thought, he was still rousing from that "rest" of his.

Hiei groggily roused from the fall, "That hurt like fucking hell."

Kurama then sat up and same thing went for Hiei. The two demons then noticed each other and their eyes widened.

"Are you alright!?" They asked each other, then realized that Rai was still unconscious.

"Rai!" They said at the same time, then realizing they both said her name. They growled at each other and turned their backs to one another.

‘Baka kistune…’ Hiei thought.

‘Oh for Christ sakes, I rather be stuck with Kai OR even Kamiya at this point instead of Hiei.’ Kurama thought angrily.

Rai just lay there unconscious, ‘Please, someone help me…’

[Dojo]

Kai slowly woke up and noticed there was huge parts of the ground on him and Sayuka and Sage.

"Damn ground..." He turned to face Sayuka and Sage, who were still unconscious.

"Weak baka nigens...Have to do EVERYTHING for their freakin’ safety just because they’re Miss. Rain’s relatives." With that, Kai got on his knees and picked up the ground and threw it five miles away.

He turned to face the out cold nigens; he sighed loudly and walked over to them.

Sage held Sayuka in his lifeless form and they bled fiercely and cuts, bruises covered their bodies. Their clothes were torn to shreds as well and they looked like they were near death.

Kai walked over to them and got on his knees and shook them gently, "Hey you nigens wake up. The Akuma Masters are gone so get up and help me find the others, including your niece and nephew."

‘Maybe that wasn’t the BEST approach but they better get up or I’m leaving them.’ Kai thought.

Sayuka and Sage slowly stirred and their eyes were fully wide and immediately got up.

"Where’s Narutaki and Rain!" Those were their first words; they turned to face Kai.

"Kai, where is my niece and nephew? All I remember was a huge earthquake and then becoming unconscious. Also that Narutaki was taken to safety with Botan." Sayuka said as she put her hand to her forehead.

"But I haven’t seen Rain..." Sage turned to face Kai.

"Where is she?"

Kai sighed loudly, "I don’t know but first let’s find Yusuke Urameshi and his group."

With that, Kai walked off, his black cape blowing in the wind. Sayuka and Sage stared at him but quickly followed his lead.

[Somewhere Else]

Yusuke and his group were still unconscious underneath the dojo, barely breathing and barely alive.

‘I…I can’t move…it’s WAY too packed and I feel weak.’ Yusuke thought while he rested.

Yusuke, help me please! I’m trapped underneath the forest with Kurama and Hiei! Please help me…I feel ever so weak. Help me, I don’t think I can hold out that much longer.

Yusuke immediately stirred, still clutching to the lifeless Narutaki, "Rai, I promised myself to make sure your life came first before mine in the time of Crisis!"

He slowly got unto his knees, still bleeding, cuts and bruises stung his entire body and his clothes were badly torn.

"Rai, I swore upon MY life I would let NOTHING bad happen to you and I’m going to keep THAT promise!" He then fell back unto his stomach, still holding Narutaki but slowly getting back unto his knees.

[On Top]

"NARUTAKI! RAIN! YUSUKE! ANYBODY!" Sayuka shrieked.

"BOTAN! KIKYO! ARIEL! SOMEBODY ANSWER!" Sage shouted.

"They can’t hear us if they’re unconscious...or maybe even...DEAD." Kai said harshly.

Sayuka gasped, "W-What?"

Kai then mentally slapped himself; ‘I have to remember not to talk about death around these nigens.’

"I meant, they’re probably alive yet unconscious so don’t let hope fool you." Kai said quickly.

Sayuka breathed in relief, "Thank goodness."

Kai immediately stopped, "I feel someone’s spirit energy and it’s very weak."

He then looked at the ground, "Yusuke..."

He immediately picked up the bits of rock, dojo and ground; "Stand back nigens because I don’t want to be responsible for any more damages."

He then threw the parts of the dojo, ground and rock 20 feet away and looked down at him and smirked.

It was Yusuke and he held Narutaki for dear life.

"Figures that spirit energy would be yours." Kai smirked as he got on his knees.

Yusuke smirked too, "Just shut up and help me and Naru outta this hole, will ya?"

Kai ignored his comment and pulled Yusuke and the lifeless Narutaki out of the hole.

"NARUTAKI!" Sage shouted in horror.

Once Sayuka saw her nephew she gasped loudly, "Naru…taki…" She then passed out but Sage caught her.

"Yusuke, where are the others?" Kai asked the badly injured Yusuke.

Yusuke frowned, still holding Narutaki, "They’re all unconscious and they’re right there."

He pointed to the unconscious Botan, Ariel, Shun and Kuwabara, "Is that what you’re looking for?"

Kai snickered, "Help me will you?"

Yusuke nodded and got back into the hole and picked up Ariel first, then handing her to Kai. They did this until everyone was out and they laid them out on the ground, still lifeless.

Botan slowly stimulated and shot open her eyes, "Where’s Narutaki!? Is he all right!?"

Yusuke immediately got on his knees and calmed her down, "Calm down Botan. Narutaki is here, see? He’s gonna be alright."

Yusuke showed the out cold Naru to the panicked Botan, she shrieked in horror.

"Yusuke he’s NOT alright! It’s my fault, if only I protected Narutaki from that bastard Ryuu then everything would be different."

Kai immediately turned to face Botan, "By any chance was he named Akuma Ryuu?"

Botan nodded her head slowly, "Yes, he was one of those awful Akuma Masters sent by Kumar Fire."

Kai shivered, Botan looked at him strangely, "What’s the matter Kai?"

"Akuma Ryuu was my ancestor, I’m his descendant. He died millions of years ago by a tennyo named Kaya Kantanya." Kai said coldly.

Everyone looked horrified at the fact that Kai was Ryuu’s descendant. In some ways, it was kind of obvious that Kai would be related to a fiend of Kumar Fire. Since he’s cold, ruthless, loner and sharp as nails, just like the other Masters. Yet, Kai had a soft side deep down, even though he NEVER showed it.

"K-Kai, I never expected YOU to be a descendant of one of the Akuma Masters…" Botan stammered.

"Actually if you take away Kai’s black hair and red eyes and put ice blue hair and crystal eyes instead, he WOULD look Ryuu. Also he has the cold aura and ruthless attitude so he COULD be one of the Akuma Masters." Yusuke said cheerfully.

Botan then whammed her oar against Yusuke’s head, "Yusuke!"

Yusuke growled at her, "What the fuck was THAT for Botan!"

"Don’t say THAT about Kai!"

"Well it’s true!"

"Who says that’s true!?"

"Don’t you remember what Rai-RAI! OHMIGOD! BOTAN WE GOTTA FIND RAI! RIGHT NOW!"

Botan blinked, "What do you mean by THAT, Yusuke!? We FIRST have to find the others. It’s not like you heard her voice saying she was slowly dying."

Yusuke growled angrily, "YES IN A MATTER OF FACT I DID HEAR HER SAY THAT!"

Botan gasped, "Then wake up everyone IMMEDIATELY! We need to find her before it’s too late!"

Yusuke nodded and took a deep breath, "LOOK HERE YOU WHIMPS! WAKE UP NOW ‘CAUSE RAI IS SLOWLY DYING! GET UP OFF YOUR ASSES NOW SO WE CAN FIND HER!"

With that, everyone jolted up, yet groaning in pain.

"Good, that got their attention." Yusuke smiled as Botan sweat dropped.

Ariel jolted up and got to her feet, "Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen. Let’s go find Rai NOW!"

Yusuke smiled at her faintly, "Now we’re talking."

"Yusuke, dear, we’ll take the others to Sage’s dojo in Sendai."

"But what about Kikyo and her group?" Botan asked.

"We’ll find them on the way there." Yusuke exclaimed.

"But Urameshi, what is those freaky Akuma Masters come back?" Kuwabara asked.

"Since you’ll be with Sayuka and Sage, I expect that YOU, Kai AND Shun protect my little cousin and his uncle and aunt. Kamiya and Botan will come with me you three guys go to Sendai and we’ll meet you there."

Sayuka nodded, "Hai Yusuke but…"

"But I will come to fetch you after you get Rain and the others."

"But how will you know?"

"I can tell if you’ve gotten everyone." Kai said simply.

Everyone else nodded, "Okay now let’s split up."

With that, Sage and Sayuka and their group, walked north while Yusuke’s group walked south.

[Forest]

"What are we suppose to do? It could be a while since Yusuke and the others find out we’ve been here." Kurama said softly.

Rai was still unconscious and she bled fiercely and she breathed harder and harder, yet Hiei and Kurama didn’t notice it.

"We’re not waiting for them. We’re going to get out on our own without their help." Hiei said coldly.

Rai kept on breathing harder and harder, "Someone, help me…I’m dying slowly…"

That immediately caught Kurama’s and Hiei’s attention, "Rai!"

Kurama then grabbed her lifeless form and held her in his arms, "Hiei she’s badly injured and she’s bleeding fiercely. She needs to get to a hospital fast."

Hiei snickered, "Don’t you think I already know THAT fox! We’re now going to get out of here on our own."

"And how are supposedly do THAT, if I may ask? We don’t have ultra super strength like Kai Ryuu Hiei." Kurama asked coldly.

Hiei shot a death glare at Kurama, "Oh, then I suppose you have ANY ideas? If you do, PLEASE share them with all means."

Kurama grumbled something under his breath.

"What was that Kurama? Speak up if you have an idea." Hiei said sarcastically.

Kurama snickered, "I said, do you love Rai?"

Hiei’s eyes had raged in them, "Why is THAT any of your fucking business? Not to mention that has NOTHING to do what's going on right now!"

"It’s just a question you know Hiei. You DON’T have to answer it." Kurama said bluntly.

The two were just on and off with each other until they didn’t look at each other. With Kurama holding the lifeless Rai and Hiei growling in jealously.

[Near Dojo]

"Those fucking Akuma Masters! Why did they have to have destroyed Rai’s relatives home! Now they gotta move to their other home in Sendai!" Yusuke growled in anger.

"Calm down Yusuke, first we’ll find Rai, Hiei, and Kurama! Even though, we WERE planning on finding Kikyo and her group, Rai’s coming first since she’s sl…"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" Yusuke shouted, that sent a shiver down Botan’s spine.

Ariel just snorted.

Yusuke immediately stopped, "I…feel someone’s spirit energy and it’s weaker than mine."

Yusuke looked at the ground, "MAYUMI! KIKYO! TAKUYA!"

"Yusuke? YUSUKE! HELP US! KIKYO AND MAYUMI ARE BARELY ALIVE!"

"TAKUYA CALM DOWN! LOOK I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH SPIRIT ENERGY TO GET YOU GUYS OUT OF THERE! DON’T YOU HAVE SOME POWER!"

"I HAVE TELEKINETIC POWERS AND I HAVE ENOUGH TO DO WHAT YOU SAY! SO STAND BACK!" Then the rocks moved off the three people and went flying off five miles off.

Takuya sweated and panted for breath, "I have enough spirit energy to move other things if you want me too."

Yusuke looked at him, "I have another favor to ask of you…"

[Forest]

Kurama and Hiei were STILL not speaking to each other and Kurama still held unto Rai’s lifeless form.

Rai kept on breathing harder and harder, she sweated and she started to get a higher fever.

‘Rai, please hang on.’ Kurama thought, he gently placed his hand on her forehead, it burned.

"Rai!" Kurama said loudly, that caught Hiei’s attention and he turned around.

"What’s the matter with her, Kurama?" Hiei asked, concern was deep down inside of him.

Kurama took a deep breath, "She’s breathing harder, she’s sweating and she has a very high fever. She needs to get to a hospital…NOW."

Hiei growled, ‘Its just like the last time, when she ended up in the hospital. I won’t let that happen to her again!’

"HIEI! KURAMA! ANSWER US!" It was Takuya’s voice.

"RAI! RAI! RAI ARE YOU THERE!" That was Ariel’s and Botan’s voices.

"RAIN! RAIN! PLEASE ANSWER ME!" Yusuke shouted.

Kurama and Hiei immediately looked up, "YUSUKE!?"

"KURAMA, HIEI!? IS RAI WITH YOU?" Yusuke asked.

Kurama looked at Rai and then looked at the rocks, "She is but, she needs to get to a hospital quick! She’s very badly injured and bleeding fiercely!"

Hiei snickered.

"Takuya, use your telekinetic powers to get them out of there…NOW!" Yusuke demanded to Takuya.

"Yes Yusuke."

While Takuya was warming up, Hiei and Kurama looked at each other.

"I’ll answer that question you asked me before." Hiei said softly, Kurama looked at him.

"Go on and tell if you love Rai or not?" Kurama asked, sounding half kind, half-stern.

Hiei shivered softly but Takuya’s voice was heard, "STAND BACK! I’M USING MY POWERS AND I DON’T WANT YOU THREE TO GET HURT!"

"JUST DO ALREADY TAKUYA! RAI NEEDS A HOSPITAL AND FAST!" Yusuke demanded.

"Well…" Kurama asked, he looked eager to know.

"I love her." Hiei said simply.

Kurama’s eyes widened and had rage in them, "I love her too."

"Well then, it looks like we’re rivals for her." Hiei said coldly, Kurama nodded.

"Yes, I believe that is true."

Then the rocks were gone and Takuya and Yusuke looked at them.

"RAI!" Yusuke shouted, he immediately grabbed her out of Kurama’s grasp.

"Rai, Rai, speak to me!" Yusuke cried, tears rolling down his face.

Rai kept on sweating, breathing hard and her fever got worse but she only said one thing.

"I’m sorry Yusuke. I’m going to have to break my promise…" Rai mumbled in her sleep.

Kaya: Goodness, Jules does sound horrible. *Hears all the coughing from Jules' bedroom*

Aries: We won't update for an hour or so since we're going to the doctors to see if Jules is sicker than she sounds.

Ariel: *snorts*

Raven: Shut up, Kamiya.

Ariel: What the fuck is your problem, bitch!?

Kaya: Anyway, please R/R while we're going, ok. ^_^ See you guys next time.
