Chapter 26
Thief of the Three Worlds Caught
Ever since Natashi met the red head at her cousins' school she had the weirdest feeling of being watched. She brushed it off as a wanna be trying to reach the top. But when she sometimes saw a silver fox following her in Makai and sometimes even jumped on her or followed close by her feet when she was alone or around Hiei. She knew something was up and she soon realized her life was going to get more complicated.
She sat in Keiko's ramen shop waiting for her order of barbecue pork with fish and vegetables. Keiko placed the bowl in front of Natashi and the gang leader handed her money as she bowed to Keiko. Natashi had learned it was best to pay when she got her meal so then they would have to give her a receipt to prove she had paid just in case the police came in. Because even though she was on the good side of the law at the moment she never knew when a new cop would come in and try to arrest her for being a gang member. She liked Keiko but not enough to actual talk to the girl to get to know her.
She sighed and began to her ramen as she thought, `I'm seventeen, and everybody still thinks I'm only good for fighting. I would see their faces if I told I was already accredited to a second year High Schooler.'
Keiko left Natashi's receipt on her table and went to another customer. Natashi didn't take notice of whom it was, Yusuke and Kurama.
`I'm one the smartest and pretty girls in this distract and yet I can't get a boyfriend to go out with not that I want one. It just be nice to go out with a guy for once,' Natashi sighed in distraught. `Man…my life sucks…'
Across the restaurant Kurama watched Natashi space out and asked Yusuke, “Who's that?”
Yusuke looked over and gave a shudder, “That's Natashi-kun; she's the head of all the gang distract. She's makes all the laws that the gang have to go by.”
“What type of gang does she run?”
“Her gang is neutral.”
Kurama looked at him curiously.
“It means anyone who doesn't want to join a gang can join hers and don't have to worry about gang related stuff.”
“How come she hasn't gotten arrested yet?”
“Well, ever since Natashi-kun gained the power the crime has been way down with all the laws she put down.”
“Are you afraid of her?” he smiled.
“Hell yeah! She kicks mine and Kuwabara-kun's ass whenever she feels like it! Well, any woman can kick Kuwabara-kun's ass anytime, but Natashi-kun…has her own style of fighting. She combines different styles of fighting from some form of Kung Fu to kick boxing. Kuwabara-kun says her brother is physic.”
“How would he know this?”
“He said he saw Aden-kun moving things by just looking at them.”
“I'm going to talk to her,” as Kurama stood.
“Kurama-kun I wouldn't do that,” Yusuke warned.
Kurama went up to Natashi and tapped her, “Excuse-” he was suddenly cut off by her yelping and hitting him in the forehead with her chopsticks.
Natashi looked at him surprised and said weakly, “Oops…”
Kurama rubbed his forehead as he heard Yusuke trying to hold back a laugh, “That's quite alright. May I have a seat?”
“After nailing ya'll in the head, go right ahead,” she shrugged. `Great now this red head is here, what else could happen?'
He sat down and suddenly saw a little girl beside Natashi.
Natashi smiled at her and asked, “What is it, sweetie?”
The girl whispered something in her ear and before Kurama could stop her Natashi was up and out of the restaurant with the little girl. He sat there for a few minutes until he heard Yusuke tease, “Looks like she left you high and dry.”
Keiko came up and said kind of rude, “Kurama-kun, don't tell me you're into a type of girl like her.”
“Why would you say that?” Kurama asked as he looked up at her.
“Well, for one thing she's still in Junior High and she's seventeen. Plus she doesn't even come to school.”
“Which is good for me,” Yusuke whispered to Kurama.
Keiko was continuing to rant on about why Natashi wouldn't be good for him or his health. Kurama ignored her until he heard her say something about the kids of the neighborhood.
“What did you say about the neighborhood kids?” Kurama asked.
“The kids seem to like her a lot for some unknown reason. She's such a…jerk,” she finally managed to say.
“I don't think she's all that bad since of what she's done with this distract.”
“She also likes to fight! Even if it's for no reason whatsoever!”
“Well, I'll see what's she's really about,” as Kurama walked out of the restaurant.

Natashi gasped for air as she leaned against a wall with her arms above her head in an effort to get more oxygen into her lungs. She never liked fighting ningens but once the adrenaline started to run through her veins she couldn't stop the strong ancient instinct to fight rather than take flight. Sometimes she hated the instinct and other times she liked it. The feel gave her a sense of strength, superiority to normal ningens.
Once she caught her breath, which wasn't too long, she bent down and picked up a jeweled wired rose from one of the ningen's belts. She chuckled to herself, `No matter where I turn there's always a plant of meaning.' She placed the flower within her ember locks and began to walk away. A block away from the fight a movement in her peripheral vision caught her attention. She quickened her steps and saw the movement again and Natashi jumped onto the walls of a building, focusing her ki in her feet (A/N: yes I got this from Naruto). She ran up the side of the building until she got to the roof and waited for whoever was following to come out.
He did come out since there was nowhere to hide and she stood tall and proud. One leg bent slightly, the other straight, arms crossed over her chest, and to complete the image a small frown and seriousness in her eyes. She stared at Kurama and asked, “What do ya'll want?”
“I was wondering what you were going to do with that rose,” he partly lied.
“I know the owners so they'll understand when I return it,” as she continued to be tense, “Why ya'll following me?”
“Calm down I'm not here to harm you,” as he maneuvered a plant to sneak up behind her.
When it attacked there was a loud crack when it hit a shield around her what went unnoticed was the glow of her left ring finger. Natashi looked over her shoulder slightly then back at him and mocked, “Calm down? I don't know who ya'll take me for but ya'll can't take me that easily.”
“I thought not,” Kurama sighed, “Looks like it is true what they say about you. You are the new King of Thieves.”
“`Queen' of Thieves,” she corrected as she tilted her head, “Ya'll must've been the person stalking me lately.”
“I wouldn't say stalker per say, more of observing you from time to time,” he chuckled.
“Here, we call that stalking…for time to time,” she smirked, “You're with Reikai, aren't you?”
“What gave you that idea?”
“Well, because I saw ya'll in Makai with Yusuke-kun and Kuwabara-kun…ya'll almost left a nasty scar on my leg with that whip of ya'lls.”
“You do remember, that just confirms my suspicions about what you're identity was,” he suddenly looked at her seriously.
“If ya'll think ya'll can captor me think again.” Small balls of lights began to appear around Natashi as she pulled out her tessens. “Ya'll have to take me by force.”
“Why do you keep saying `ya'll'?” as Kurama pulled out his Rose Whip.
“Just the accent that I grew up around,” as she flicked the fans opened with a metal hiss.
Kurama snapped his whip at her but it seemed she was expecting it and fended it off with her tessen.
“Ya'll have to try harder than that to take me,” she mocked as adrenaline began to be pumped into her veins once again.
Kurama noted that now there was a playful smile on her lips and her hazel eyes sparked to life, `Can't disappoint her.'
To say the least Kurama only had long range battle advantage but Natashi had short range advantage. For a long while neither one could get a scratch on each other. After a few hours of this Kurama suddenly got an idea and he prayed it would work. He dashed at Natashi as silver began to replace his red hair and he smirked as he saw her smile replaced with her lips slightly parting in surprise.
Natashi tried to slash Kurama with one of her tessens as he came at her but she hit nothing for he suddenly had the speed of a Yoko. She suddenly felt a clawed hand brush her cheek as she went to down on one knee with her right arm still stretched out to the side for the ending result of the slash. She froze as the hand ran down her neck, `Please don't let it be-' her thoughts were cut off the said hand grabbed one of her breasts. Natashi let of a scream before she threw her head back and hit the owner of the hand in the face. She jumped out of range of the hand as it went back to grab the man's face and she yelled, “Pervert!”
The Yoko looked at her and smiled sending chills down Natashi's spine as she instinctively covered her breast.
“Stay away from me!” her eyes now wide with fear but her ki flared with anger as she used her tessen to block his view of her breasts.
“Now that's no fair,” the silver Yoko told her, “I came out just to play with you.”
Natashi suddenly snapped her tessen shut now with anger in her eyes, “So ya'll want to play? I'll show ya'll the way I play.”
To say the least Kurama wasn't expecting to keep seeds in her hair like he did but she did because now a plant was now slithering out of her hair. It wasn't just any plant either it was a plant from Makai. It was Ojigi Plant and at her level of ki Kurama knew she couldn't control it.
“Ojigi-kun,” Natashi suddenly talked to the plant, “Do you want to play?”
The plant was fully bloomed and strangely enough the deadly plant acknowledged her.
“Yoko-kun, unlike most plant controller I talk to my plants. I can see the one thing that most controllers can't…the spirits of the plants.”
Kurama smiled and walked across the roof towards her unafraid of what the plant would do.
“Yoko-kun! Didn't ya'll hear me? This is an Ojigi Plant!”
“I heard you but my ki is stronger than yours. I can take control whenever I need to.”
“Who said I needed to kill ya'll?” with that she jumped off the roof and ran.
“Out of my way,” he commanded the plant and was quite surprise when it didn't do as commanded. “Move!”
There was a giggle coming from the Ojigi and suddenly there was large fairy within the plant. “I think not,” she told him, “I only take commands from my master.”
“Fine,” he held out his hand at the plant and overpowered Natashi's ki sending the plant back into a seed. “Now…time to get that girl.”
A sudden scream of pain filled the air followed women yelling crude insults. He went to the edge of the roof and saw a battle scene unfolding between a female gang and a male gang. Kurama looked across the street and saw Natashi held against a store wall with a pipe in her left shoulder. She didn't cry, didn't let anything escape her mouth by grinding her teeth into her bottom lip. Natashi was about a foot off the ground and she was trying her best to hold herself up by the pipe.
`Very strong willed girl…than again the underlining of her scent is the same as Yamakaza-san's,' his thoughts were interrupted when he saw blood begin to drip out of Natashi's mouth and slowly around the pipe.
`Damn those boys!' Natashi thought as she felt her start going numb, `They somehow knew I would be here! …If I can't get this pipe out of my shoulder I might lose it.'
Suddenly vines grabbed the teen boys and Natashi's gang immediately went to her side as a ningen shield. Kurama jumped down from the building and turned to the other teens. “I'll give you a chance to leave,” he told them as he released them.
The teens ran and didn't look back. Kurama turned to the other teens and saw they weren't backing down.
“Natashi-san, hang on,” one girl told her as she flew up to be level with Natashi. She grasped the pipe and warned the others, “Be ready.”
The girl yanked the pipe out and two other girls grabbed Natashi as she fell. Kurama suddenly realized that the women were actually yasha and that blood was now coming out of the wound at an alarming rate that would kill Natashi if not treated correctly.
“Get me out of here,” Natashi told them as one of the yasha held onto her right arm, “Stall him as long as you can and don't do anything reckless.”
“We won't,” the first yasha told her still in the air but now swaying the pipe, “You just get your ass home and better.”
Natashi just nodded as the two yasha took off running with her.
“I can't allow that,” Kurama told them as vines bursted through the ground grabbing the yasha and simply went after Natashi's small group.
Natashi stumbled down an alleyway as she saw the Yoko taking the bait of her clone self and the other two. She looked at her wound, `If I don't get home soon to stop the bleeding soon I'm dead.' She heard the two yasha scream and knew that the Yoko would come back her way. `Damn that red head! Why can't he mind his own business?' she held her lame arm and ran down the alley only to be stopped at a dead end. Natashi heard soft footsteps and ducked behind some trash cans.
She couldn't keep herself conscious for long now that the effects of the blood loss was kicking but she tried in vain as her vision blurred when the Yoko came into view looking around the alley then down at her. She had no strength to stop the Yoko as she felt him pick her up bridal style. When she woke up she found herself in Reikai's hospital wing, in a hospital gown, shoulder tended to, and an IV in her other arm. With a groggy mind she thought, `Damn…I've been caught…I'll never hear the end of this . . .'
Ojigi Plant: a plant that can sense movements as insignificant as a muscular spasm and it has a mind of its own. It eats whatever it grabs and even its summoner if it is not careful. It was used against Karasu in the Dark Tournament, although it did not have the wanted effect (it only unleashed Karasu's power)
