Chapter Nine: The Demon Bazooka

I have an extra disclaimer. I don't own any part of The Incredible Hulk, or Yu Yu Hakusho. However, I do own Mashinoro, and Kama. Of course, you know that. I credited them to me in the opening of this Team Battle. Anyway, please don't sue.
"Well, folks, it's time for the final battle of Team Urameshi against Team Gijutsu!" yelled Koto.
"Will the next, but hopefully <I>not</I> final combatants, enter the arena?" roared Tero.
"Right! I'm certain these next two won't be the last warriors!" yelled the now sheepish Koto.
Yusuke walked into the arena, as did the massive leader of Team Gijutsu.
"Listen Kitty, I'm going to beat that oversized demon," said Yusuke.
"Hah! You shall not defeat me, human. I am far more powerful. In fact, to prove my abilities, I will bet you something," said Mashinoro. The warrior spoke in a deep, tinny voice.
"Oh, really? What's the bet?"
"If I win, I get to use you and your teammates as subjects for my experiments, turning you into my new fighters!" The demon laughed loudly
"And if I win, you techno-freak?" Yusuke sneered.
The Demon snarled. "If you win, which you won't, you get to advance in the tournament."
Yusuke could feel the demon smiling.
"Thanks, but I get that offer anyway. How about, if you lose, which you will, I get to crash your hard-drive."
"I'm not some fucking PC, you stupid child!" roared the cloaked demon.
"Fine. I'll just kill you, then."
"Works for me, you stupid human," snarled Mashinoro.
"That's half-human. My dad was Raizen (I got that right, right?)" Yusuke said, sliding into a fighting stance.
"I don't care, you stupid whelp! I'll blast you just the same!" yelled the demon as he whipped off the cloak, like all his companions did.
Mashinoro was disturbing to look upon. At one time, the massive demon, at least 8ft tall and 500lbs., might have looked a lot like the Hulk. The beast was green-skinned with rippling muscles. However, it had been changed greatly. Half of the beasts face was metal, with the classic glowing red eye. Mashinoro has many cables and metal plates covering his bare torso, and both his arms turned into metal after the elbow joint. One arm was a simple clamp-like claw, the other a massive cannon. Mashinoro wore ragged pants that showed just enough to reveal metal plating and the like.
"Are you frightened by my appearance, Spirit Detective? Does my freakish appearance scare you?" the demon smiled.
"Hardly. I've seen worse, anyway," Yusuke laughed. He quickly grew serious. "Now let's go!"
Yusuke jetted forward towards Mashinoro. The Spirit Detective jumped high into the air before letting loose a furious barrage of punches. Upon landing, he elbowed Mashinoro in the head before twisting around into a powerful roundhouse kick.
Yusuke smirked as he hopped back, his eyes closed. He cracked his knuckles.
"Looks like I get to kill you," he said.
Yusuke suddenly flew through the air as Mashinoro crashed his cannon into the side of the boys face.
"Looks like you don't," sneered the Techno-Demon.
Yusuke stood up and rubbed his cheek.
"Looks like I'm gonna have to try something else, huh?" said Yusuke, laughing weakly.
"Heh! You're punches cannot hurt me! I am far too powerful to be injured by such weak attacks. Now, I shall show you the power of a machine!"
Mashinoro held back his cannon arm. Crimson energy began to glow in the center of the gun.
"Now face the Oni-Gan! The Demon Gun!" the Techno-Demon roared.
A bolt of Youki flew at Yusuke, very similar to Yusuke's Spirit Gun (or Rei-Gan, for those who favor the Japanese name.) *Demon Gun*.
"Well, now you have to face my version," said Yusuke as he easily dodged the energy. He held up his hand in the now-classic pose. "Spirit Gun!" he yelled.
A bolt of Yusuke's Reiki (Spirit Energy) shot off at Mashinoro. The larger and slower demon was hit in the shoulder by Yusuke's blast.
"That was a pretty powerful blast, especially for some punk kid like you. Maybe I'm going to have to try in this fight." The large warrior laughed loudly.
"You certainly will!" said Yusuke, before nailing Mashinoro in the face with a Reiki powered punch.
Mashinoro staggered back from the punch.
"Hm. You can hit harder that I thought," said Mashinoro as lightly rubbed his cheek with his clamp-arm. "Now, let me show you how hard I can hit! Demon Shotgun!" Mashinoro roared as he fired off thousands of Spirit Energy bullets. *Demon Shotgun*.
Yusuke jumped back from the blast. The ground and wall behind him exploded as the energy ripped through the stone.
"That could've done some serious damage to me, Mashinoro. Maybe my version will do some damage to you!" Yusuke yelled before punching outward. "Shotgun!"
Thousands of Rei-bullets exploded off of Yusuke's fist and shot towards Mashinoro.
"Shield, activate!" roared Mashinoro.
A sphere of energy appeared around Mashinoro. Some of the Rei-Bullets were deflected, but the shield soon shattered. Mashinoro was furiously pelted by the energy.
Mashinoro snarled at Yusuke. The demon was `bleeding' a foul, dark liquid that just barely passed for blood. Mashinoro's mechanical appendages were scuffed and scratched; yet none punctured.
"It'll take more than that to take me out," said Mashinoro as he wiped some of the `blood' from his face. "I think I'll hit you with something a bit stronger! Demon Chain-Gun!"
Mashinoro took aim with his cannon and fired out a rapid burst of Rei-Bullets. *Demon Chain-Gun* Yusuke leapt aside only to be hit in the shoulder by another volley. Though the Rei-Bullets fired in the Demon Chain-Gun were less powerful, Yusuke was still forced back by the assault.
Mashinoro kept firing, the energy flying out in a continuous, blindingly fast stream. Yusuke kept running and was only hit a few other times, causing his leg and chest to be hit.
Soon, Yusuke was forced into a corner of the ring.
"What are you going to do now, Spirit Detective? Looks like I've got you cornered! Hah!" The Demon laughed loudly, keeping its eyes on Yusuke.
Yusuke feinted left, then darted right as Mashinoro blasted the left side of the corner.
Yusuke began to speed up, starting to move at speeds Hiei uses. He jumped high, swung a Spirit Energy powered kick into the side of Mashinoro's head, wailed on him with a barrage of punches when he touched down, and finished it off with the Spirit Punch (the move he used on Jin that was incorrectly dubbed the Spirit Wave. I have dubbed it the Spirit Punch.)
Spirit Energy exploded from Yusuke's fist as he hit Mashinoro. *Spirit Punch* The massive demon was propelled backwards by the energy. Dust and rock shards exploded into a cloud as Mashinoro hit the ground.
"And that's that," said Yusuke, dusting off his hands.
"Not quite, Spirit Detective," snarled Mashinoro.
The massive demon lumbered into a standing position. It held out its cannon towards Yusuke.
"Now, for my ultimate attack. I hoped to save this one for later, but you can't have everything you want in life, can you?" the demon said, chuckling darkly. "Now, fear the power of Mashinoro!" it roared.
In one of the most surprising and disturbing moves ever pulled, Mashinoro swung his clamp-arm up towards his elbow. The joint snapped and cracked as the clamp hit it. Bone shards protruded from the joint.
"Now that my arm is in a locked and fully upright position, I'm going to kill you, once and for all! Face the Demon Bazooka!" roared the now crazed demon.
Mashinoro crouched down on one knee. It held its clamp arm up to steady the other for the perfect aim.
Yusuke, so utterly shocked, failed to move. His shock at seeing Mashinoro fracture his own elbow in such a way froze him up.
Demon Spirit Energy pooled inside Mashinoro's cannon. Slowly, a red orb grew, filling the cannon.
"Fear my ultimate power!" roared the enraged and psychotic Mashinoro.
"Urameshi, get out of the way!" yelled Kuwabara.
"Yusuke, move!" yelled Kurama.
"Detective!" yelled Himeko.
The energy burst forth, causing Mashinoro's cannon to recede back on Mashinoro's arm, undoubtedly causing a compound fracture or two. *Demon Bazooka*
Yusuke stood, stunned, by the turn of events. He didn't even have time to block.
"Urameshi!" cried out Kuwabara.
"Yusuke, no!" yelled Kurama.
Hiei stared on in shock as Mashinoro's energy surround the Spirit Detective.
Mashinoro turned his head towards the heavens and laughed insanely.
The members of Team Urameshi looked on in horror as the energy dissipated and the dust settled. Hopefully there were some remains left.
As the smoke cleared, Yusuke's voice rang out.
"I didn't know you guys cared," said Yusuke, laughing his trademarked laugh.
Mashinoro snapped his head down and stared at Yusuke.
A light blue orb surrounded the boy. It had apparently protected him from the Demon Bazooka. *Spirit Shield*
"I have to really focus to use that technique. And it took me months to master."
"B . . . but how!? How could you have survived my ultimate attack!?" roared the, once again, enraged and confused Mashinoro.
"Simple. You can't hit me if there's a shield in the way," said Yusuke, smirking.
"N . . . no! NO! You couldn't have survived that! It's impossible!"
"Well, you techno-freak, apparently, it isn't," said Yusuke as he powered up a super Spirit Gun blast.
"You can't win!" roared Mashinoro as he raced towards Yusuke.
"Yes I can. Spirit Gun!" yelled Yusuke as he fired the super-charged blast.
The Spirit Energy ripped through Mashinoro's torso and sent the beast flying back. He landed with a resounding `thud'.
"And the winner is, Yusuke Urameshi!" yelled the depressed Tero.
The crowd booed as Yusuke walked off the stage.
"And Team Urameshi advances," says the equally depressed Koto.

Okay, gang, it's Yusuke here. Soon the next Team Battle will be starting and it's the lightning fast fighters of Team Hayasa against the Earth Warriors of Team Chikyu. Watch as Earthquake meets Sonic Boom next time on Yu Yu Hakusho!
